We spent Thanksgiving week at the house and had a wonderful time. Everything is just as described. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We loved sitting and eating in the great room with the wonderful views. The two floors worked out well, with our daughters staying upstairs and my husband and I staying downstairs. The location is great. The house is a short drive to multiple towns, lakes and trails. There is much to do in the area. We took trips to the Berkshires to see the Norman Rockwell Museum and hike the Bash Bish Falls trail. Explored the nearby Olana State Historical Site, home of Frederic Church. Enjoyed eating at the Stissing House, in nearby Pine Plains. Red Cottage was very responsive and helpful. We had to delay our return flight due to a winter storm, and Red Cottage was able to accommodate our request to stay another night. We highly recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at the Red Cottage! Great for families with kids and dogs. The space was clean and felt private. I would definitely book again!

Family mini break We had a truly wonderful stay, the property is so homely and comfortable. And the owners were so helpful and communicative which made for a more relaxing stay!

Great visit. Our family of four—mom, dad, two boys 5 and 11—had a terrific stay at Navywood! The house was spotlessly clean and well-laid out. Especially nice are the two levels. You can have the kids downstairs with the door closed when you want a little peace. Casement windows with good-fitting screens everywhere so you can let the night air in and listen to the crickets. Lots of nice touches like extra towels and extra power strips/chargers tucked away in nightstands. Good reading lights in the bedrooms. We'd absolutely stay here again!

We had a great stay at the Red Cottage’s property. Prime location with so many outdoor and indoor activities for kids and adults.

Loved our stay at this private, comfortable, stylish home close to Red Hook, Hudson and Tivoli. Was an easy trip to West Takghanic Diner. We also loved the beautiful kitchen and had all that we needed for a family and friends dinner. The place is clean, spacious and sunny, and bedrooms very comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee on the large back porch listening to birds and there is a stream and small pond. This place is great as it's close to hikes and swimming, but easy to get to great restaurants, wineries (Rosehill) and it's 3-5 minutes to a brewery with a beautiful view (Vosburgh). Was a great weekend and we hope to come back for a longer stay.

We had an amazing week at Red Cottage. The house was spacious, uncluttered, very dog friendly, and had an incredibly well equipped kitchen for cooking! We and our dog had everything we needed. Only 20-25 mins from a lot of great restaurants too! Would definitely stay here again. Hosts were responsive and helpful

This is a lovely, peaceful, secluded country home, within an easy drive to great towns like Hudson and Red Hook. The main living room has wonderful views, opening out to a roomy deck and the grounds are well maintained (which was great for our pet dog, who loved the whole place). We had a great weekend hanging out here.

Peaceful Hudson valley vacation spot House was beautifully appointed and perfectly equipped. Deck off of living area was great for outdoor dinners. Brought our dog and they had everything set up for the him when we got there, it was great having all that green space for him to run around. We will definitely come back for when we are in the Hudson valley.

Private and Peaceful Pleasant location with lots of privacy. Perfect yard for our dog We enjoyed watching the rabbits and deer who visited daily. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated with a mid century modern style. The house plants were lovely. Kitchen was well appointed.

Every year, I am coming to Germantown for wood firing and this place made me and my friends feel like home! Everything was so well organized. Very clean and many utensils in the kitchen! Compared to my other rental experiences, this place is coming on top! Highly recommended to stay here.

Perfect in every way The house and our stay was perfect in every way. We have have been working at a camp near by for over a decade and needed a spot to be able to commute there and relax in the evening.It was a cozy, clean and well appointed retreat after long hot/cold days of working. We were unable to use the firepit due to weather and schedules but left some wood for the next guests. Thank you for making our week so special. We can’t wait to return next year (or maybe next season).

Country Chic My wife and I had a wonderful extended weekend with friends. The house is well appointed with a great interior design. The house is secluded and sits in a beautiful property with a babbling brook and pond. A perfect get away. Highly recommend.

The cabin was absolutely spotless, cozy, and very well put together. We loved the back deck for enjoying the cool weather and the AC kept the inside nice and cool when things got hot out. The fire pit was perfect for an evening under the stars. The area around the cabin offered plenty to do and some really great restaurant options in nearby Red Hook as well as Hudson. The Red Cottage team were excellent and proactive with their communication, making sure we had everything we needed and giving us tons of local pointers. Thanks for everything!

This is one of the best places we’ve stayed so far. The location is private yet an easy and short drive from main cities nearby. It is only 6 minutes drive from Lake Taghkanic and other hiking places. Surrounded by trees, it offers such a peaceful and calm environment that it soothes mind, body and soul. What you hear is birds chirping and wind whispering. The inside of this place exceeded our expectations with its beautiful interior design, spacious living room, comfortable bedroom, pristine bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. We were especially delighted by the presence of various art pieces, particularly the stunning ceramics by the host themselves. This place is perfect for a family vacation or a small company retreat. We’d love to come back soon!

We had a great time with a long relaxing weekend. The house is perfectly located in the area with easy access to various attractions, nature, hikes, little towns and shops. The house was clean and perfectly maintained. Communication was quick and easy and issues were addressed immediately.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was very clean, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully laid out, making it both comfortable and easy to enjoy. The owners were extremely responsive and very helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. We would highly recommend this property and would absolutely plan on returning.

An absolutely GORGEOUS property set in a charming wooded area. The entire home is updated like new—modern with charm! Great flow on the upper floor with open concept kitchen, dining, and living. Downstairs has cute second living room, a darling bedroom, and second bath with shower. Bed was super comfortable, and the AC and ceiling fans cooled the entire house. But the best part about the cozy home is its locale: It is perfectly located at the border of Columbia and Dutchess Counties, so you can explore towns any way the compass points! And the roads are so wonderful. All paved, all quiet, all ensconced in bucolic beauty! We will most definitely be back! Don’t miss this upstate retreat!

This home was very beautiful and held us well. We felt right at home and comfortable, made dinners, slept well. The area around is wonderful - lots to do just 5-15 minutes away. The hosts were very communicative and helpful, which was much appreciated!

Our stay was generally good. I had some issues getting in, but the team helped resolve it. The location and size was great for our purposes and the house was quiet and peaceful. The beds and pillows were not particularly comfortable. Overall, a fine stay.

A wonderful stay in Elizaville; the space was open, clean, and had everything we might need. The property was really wonderful as well -- set back from a quiet road with plenty of space.

Modern Country Getaway We had a great time at this lovely updated country cabin! The finishes were beautiful and modern and the house had everything we needed. An added plus is that the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. It's also conveniently close to Hudson and Rhinebeck.

Will stay again! Just as the listing reported; very clean except for the garbage cans in the bathrooms and previous guests laundry was left in the dryer (We needed to dry our stuff we arrived with torrential rain!). Housekeeping missed it. Didn't see the disclosure about the security cameras - no biggie - stay was awesome and I will rent this place again for sure!! Thank you for the stay!!! :)
