Stayed here with multiple extended family members. Overall the space and the way the rooms were designed was perfect for us. The major drawback is that the house is photographed and decorated beautifully, but over advertised and multiple necessities were dysfunctional. Multiple rooms with non working outlets- the ones that were left were plugged to all the tvs, dehumidifiers, etc. Slight mildew smell that didnt fully dissapate. The pool is NOT heated like advertised, but was clean. I liked the space, location, and bedspace, but we had to overlook a lot of maintenance issues I don't think would be present for the price of the stay at comparable local options.

Everything was awesome only thing the water and ice dispenser were working and one of the upstairs shower curtain needs hooks,but other than than everything was awesome..had a great time with the family...

Great space with lots of room! The upstairs and downstairs weren't connected, meaning they felt like two separate apartments, but it was still easy to go back and forth between the two. The pool was great! However, I'd bring extra pool towels because there weren't any that we could find. Other than that it was a great little place!

Love the house!

My family and I love staying here. The hosts were very friendly and responded very quickly. The house was absolutely beautiful and the living spaces were more than enough for my family. I will definitely recommend staying here to other family and friends and look forward to coming back when I visit Port A again. Very thankful and blessed to have stayed here for my babies first time to the beach and our daughter’s birthday!

Home was clean despite driving up and felt disappointed with outside appearance in that it looked rundown a bit. Overall it was cozy and just enough space for our family. They were very quick in responding to my questions throughout.

The interior of the home was very nice, beautiful decor, clean bedrooms. Spacious, The outside of the home needs a major paint job, Very rusted, Not curve appeal at all. Nothing like the pictures. Also there was some trash on the side of the home and the outdoor grills were in terrible shape and very dirty.

We had a great time and were pleased with the response time when the lock would not work on the downstairs area. We wou Positive: The location was perfect. The bedrooms were all amazing. The layout of the kitchen, living and big dining table were perf3ct for our dinners, craft night and games. And we loved the pool. It was always clean and very refreshing. Negative: I didn’t realize the bottom floor was not connected by inside stairs but it worked out just fine. Needs a can opener and the bottom door lock repaired

Great location but house (downstairs) needs work. Main bed was super uncomfortable. Place never really cooled off. Backyard needs to be weeded around fence and pool was dirty even after they cleaned it. Front yard had trash in the yard and not mowed. No light in the shower. No trash can outside.

Accommodated all 12 of us easily!! Plenty of room to move around. Pool was a nice size and perfect for the kids to play at all hours of the day! The AC was cold! Take an extra blanket!

All in all good trip. The host communicated very well when needed. There was no shade at the pool but the pool was not hot. Upstairs was great very spacious, downstairs was a warm and the picture made it a little deceiving space wise. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance know to man.

Fun little place in a fun and lively part of town.

There were no issues with the property that couldn’t be resolved. I just think it needs to be updated a little bit and the cleaning person needs to do a little better.

Overall, the house was clean and well-maintained, and our family truly enjoyed the experience. The kitchen was fully equipped for our needs, and the barbecue area was excellent. The pool was perfect for my grandchildren, and the spacious layout of the house worked well for our group. We also appreciated the convenient parking and the proximity to local restaurants and shops. While the interior decor differed slightly from the listing photos, the quality of the home made for a pleasant stay. We would definitely stay in this house again.

This location has been one of the best places I stayed at, me and my family really enjoyed the house and everything was within the range of quickly getting to. I would definitely recommend this to friends,family.

Our family had a wonderful stay - accommodations were on par with what we needed for the 3 day stay - close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Having a private pool was a plus and a fully stocked kitchen with dishes, cookware, coffee maker, etc. We definitely recommend and hope to be back. They communicated with us daily if we needed anything so that was a nice touch.

Nice center location to the island. 2 blocks from the main road. Very close to beach access points! pool was clean and ready for use.

This was a beautiful and very spacious house, I have a big family and it fit us perfectly.

Definitely will stay again, very enjoyable! Positive: Plenty of room for my family of 13, kids had a blast in the pool and all the house amenities they supplied. Nearby everything also. Negative: Two separate living spaces, but came in handy for late gathering while the kids slept.

Basically two separate houses downstairs house wasn’t as cool was muggy but both rooms were cold with window units. Pictures need to be update as of today! Top houses was pretty and had central Ac, all bed were not comfortable. Biggest bed in this house was a full size even in master room. Check out was to early at 10am. Best thing about house was pool backyard. Pool has bunch of sand in it but other then that nice pool and set up.

Family Vacation 2025 Clean, Well equipped spacious kitchens, ,comfortable living rooms and TV"s awesome decorations throughout the house.We enjoyed the pool, patio furniture with planty space to sit around and chat.everything We needed to enjoy our stay.

This place needs to be torn down,,the place smells like mold ,,,the tile in the bathroom has sharp corners and will cut your hands ,,the chair that are stacked outside have trash in between them ,,their cleaning staff i s limited only to linen and one can tell it's just not clean,,come on the toilet didn't even flush ,,,so how was it cleaned in the first place ,,finally a/c broke at 3 am on our last day there and my husband and I had an event to attend and we couldn't even get dressed for the event,,,so so dissatisfied, disappointed, disgusted with this place,,,so many hazards there ,,,renter beware!!!! Your health and safety are at risk!!!!

Great location. Home was perfect for our family. Sandy Key Vacation rentals was very responsive and had great communication through out our stay.

The stay was very enjoyable. We gathered a few couples and the sat up was perfect for everyone to have their own space. The pool needed a little cleaning but when I made them aware, they sent the pool service the next day. It was very cozy and felt like home.

Back to school beach trip The property accommodates a large group; however the property needs a thorough cleaning/disinfecting and some pest control for water bugs. The mold smell in the downstairs part of the home was unbearable.

Vacation Had an awesome time, can’t wait to go again.

Great location, perfect for my family! Our stay was perfect for my family, especially for our toddlers. The place had everything we needed. While the grills weren't the best, the house's location was ideal for eating out, being super close to restaurants and convenience stores, and not too far from the beach. We visited during the predicted arrival of Hurricane Beryl, but the owner stayed in communication the whole time and promptly fixed any issues that occurred. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay This house is very cute and comfortable. Lots of room and in a great area. Very fast response with all communication. We will for sure be back.

I had no problem with the rental company. The house does smell, the house was hot, and the pool was dirty. With these issues, mainly the smell the price is very high. The smell is so noticeable you can smell it outside when you open the doors. The location is great very close to the beach and town. I strongly advise you get rid of the smell, so it will be a great place to stay.

Place was nice and clean. Enjoyed our stay!

The AC downstairs never worked properly. The pool was very unclean, pump didn’t work and no chlorine. The stickers on the ground were horrible. They were all thru the house on carpets. I would not stay here again.

Overall, a nice large place to stay. The bottom floor has a strong musty smell, air conditioning doesn’t keep up (only really keeps the bedrooms cool and doesn’t work in the restroom at all). Top floor is great though it rained the first night we were there and water got inside through the bottom of the closed front door. Murphy bed needs cleaning upstairs as well, so we didn’t use it. The pool filtration system also wasn’t working and the pool was rather cloudy but not unusable. These are all small issues and our group of 13 still had a great time and it was worth the money. Host was also very responsive to any messages we had.

Always a Favorite! We stay here every summer and love the property! The property manager was AWESOME! Quick to respond and addressed the concerns immediately! We’ll be back next summer!!!

Perfect! This was our first time at SandFest and this place was perfect for our group. Clean, great location and the pool was the perfect night cap! Definitely will be back!!

We had fun, the house is great but the first floor smelled weird and our kids had trouble sleeping, the bed sheets were dirty and so was the pool.

The property was in a great location. It’s on a main road so a little busy. The house had a very strong odor of must and mildew and pet urine. One of the beds downstairs had soiled linens and the “clean” linens in the closet were doused in men’s cologne. There was also no laundry detergent. Overall it was ok but we would not stay here again.

Beautiful place! I had my 50th birthday with family and friends. This place was perfect and centrally located. We had so much fun!

Great location The location is great, pool a plus. The downstairs area has a constant moldy smell which is overwhelming. The floors need a deep clean everywhere. The outside trash bins completely full on our arrival so we had to take daily trash to dumpsters at beach.

Beach Getaway This location is ideal for quick access to the ferry, state highway 361, and the beach! However, right when you walk into the property (no matter the level) there is an overwhelming mildew smell. We assumed the property had some water damage due to past storms. The property also offered limited supplies (one big trash bag for the top level and three for downstairs). Next time we visit we will make sure to bring our own trash bags. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will visit again!

Just us We had 7 adults, dad being older we put him downstairs with us and the rest upstairs, everyone had their own space. This may be our new yearly vaca rental.

Nice stay bad yard The yard was full of weeds with little balls with thorns on them that got all over your feet and you would take them into the house and they would hurt like hell when you stepped on them. So stay out of the yard and the edge of the pool area

Weekend stay The stay was great. Location is an easy walk to beach and easy to local stores. Only dislike was the alarm system on back door. Understand why is because of safety for the pool. Still seems there would be a better way as it was extremely annoying. Pleanty of parking and great layout.

Ok stay The location is good but it is on one of the busier roads in Port A . Property manager very concerned with carts parked anywhere near the “grass” well there’s not really any grass but a lot of weeds and dry stickers that get tracked in on everyone’s shoes. Not ideal for the beach Vacay. House is a good size but 2 of the beds were covered in pet hair and string dog smell and we had buy detergent to wash the comforter and sheets when we arrived. This was more than just a little left over pet hair in a pet friendly rental that would be ok and expected. Supplies are a little sparse for a rental that houses 14 Management did call about cart wheel on the dirt and that was fine but didn’t really express any concern with the cleaning issues. This didn’t ruin our stay but we probably wouldn’t rent again and we come every year with a large group. The downstairs has a very musty smell. This property has great potential if someone gave it some TLC. This review isn’t meant to deter people from renting so I am not sure this is where to send our issues. Fantastic Vacation!! We had a blast. We really loved having the pool all to ourselves

Great house and pool The property was just as described. Having the separate lower apartment was great for us and our older dog. The private pool was nice and a huge reason we chose this house. Lots of outdoor seating options. Quick drive to beach, restaurants, grocery store, etc. Just FYI. If you bring a dog, get them used to some kind of “shoes”. The stickers in the yard and most of the surrounding area are very bad.

Our family stayed for spring break weekend and it was the perfect spot The home was very clean and they had everything we needed the only thing is that the house had a musty smell to it upstairs and downstairs. We had buy candles so the house could smell, other then that we had great time.

Spring Break 2023 Although the weather did not cooperate with our plans, this house is well furnished with plenty of room and we still managed to really enjoy our stay! Thank you so much!

Birthday/ family day It was amazing and so relaxing. The upstairs was great and lots of places to seat. It was clean, and the pool area was so inviting. The only thing was that the downstairs had a mildew smell. We opened some windows and it helped a little.

Excellent Service and Experience! We had such a great experience, Sand Key staff were friendly and communicative, had some trouble getting in because of a sticking lock and the professional, friendly service tech was there in under 10 minutes! Property was clean, comfortable, stocked with a few extra necessities, instructions and information binders were clear and helpful. Will absolutely make this our regular spot for our annual Port A gathering!

Nice house but stickers ruined it! The house was nice but we had issues. The lower level and top level smelled musty and when we got home we had to even wash our clean clothes to get the smell out. The master bath toilet leaked water out of the bottom. This was supposed to be a dog friendly home but don’t bring your dogs unless you want to spend the entire time pulling goat head stickers out of their feet constantly! There is nowhere for your dog to potty where there aren’t stickers! Will not rent this house again.

The downstairs toilet leaking, parking tight, chemical smell caused sob/chest discomfort, back door keypad didn't wk, barbecue pit old & rusty - we went and bought one, but everything was BEAUTIFUL very clean, and spacious. :-) Owners came immediately when concern arose re the smell. They listened to our concerns and provided helpful tips. THANK YOU!!❤️

Early August get away We enjoyed staying on this property. The pool was way smaller than what we expected. The patio area is huge however and great for plating outdoor games. They have one grill but it is a really small grill. The refrigerators rake a long time to cool down and we were worried our food might spoil. I did communicate this to them as well as the other issues that arose. I didn't like the only way to communicate with them was via the app as response time seemed delayed. It's in a great location close to restaurants and grocery store. We hung out most upstairs as that area was roomier. The downstairs had two rooms which was perfect since my Mom can't climb stairs. We would stay here again because of how close it is to everything.

Great place and short time to beach. Children had a great time and really liked having a pool Not hard after we decided which one we wanted.

Family Vacay We have been coming to Port A for years. As the family grew, we decided that we wanted the family to be all in one house. We have tried several houses and this one has been our favorite! There was plenty of space for everyone and having two kitchens and two living rooms was a big plus! The downfall was the pool was in the sun a good part of the day, so the water was pretty warm. (We were there in June) If the pool had a shade cover it would help. Other than that my family all agreed this was their favorite house we have stayed in. Thanks for a great vacation!

Great stay on spring break Great location, nice well kept property, well stocked with anything you’ll need during your stay. Our kids ranging from 1year-15 years old loved this home. It was very accommodating for 8 of us. 10/10 recommend!

Great Port A Beach House We had a great time at this property. We rented some golf carts and they were perfect for getting us back and forth from the beach. It’s close, but it’s not an easy walking distance so I recommend the golf carts. They made things so much easier. The decor was super cute. My 5 year old was in mermaid heaven. The only thing to keep in mind is that the top and bottom level are separated by outside stairs so you can’t get to the other level from inside. Pros and cons with that. We had an issue with the hot water heater (it was a tripped breaker) but they got maintenance out the next day to fix it. The pool was a great addition and was a lot of fun with tons of outside seating. We had a great time on the island!

Nauti Mermaid The house, location, & our stay was great! The only negative thing I have to say is the yard needed to be mowed & there were a lot of stickers. One of our family members stepped in the yard not realizing. Other than that, it was great.

Beautiful house. Needs little fixes. Best things were the pool, 2 kitchens, double access to down stairs and the close drive to the beach. There were minor things that need to be improved but nothing we couldn’t resolve on our own. The not so great thing about this house is the slippery bath tub upstairs. My uncle slipped and hurt himself pretty bad. Luckily, there was no break. I would hope that they add some grid to it after our stay. Overall our stay was amazing, we had a blast and I would definitely stay again. Also, beware of back neighbor, she gets real annoyed about 8 pm.

Wonderful home made the entire trip even better The house was wonderful , my children age 8 & 6 and my other guest ages 30+ spent the duration of our time at the house in the pool . It was a great way to pass the time relax and enjoy our vacation when not at the beach . The location was awesome anything we needed was less than a 3 minute golf cart ride away . And the rooms meet everyones expectations and much more !

It was nice The house was nice. Has plenty of room. Some downfalls. The bottom floor dosen't seem cool as the top floor. There a mat before you enter the back door where the pool is, 2 adults and 2 children slip and hurt themselves there. Bathtub are very slippery so becareful. The house does not have a dust pan so make sure you buy one. I didn't like the separation of the Cando, when it rained and we needed to go down or upstairs we got wet. The road the house sits on was a very busy road.Also I dislike the fact the every single time you needed to enter the key code for every entrance door. It was real hard for the little ones to go in and out. Other then that everything else seem okay. 4 star for me.

Fun clean well stocked on busy street great for people watching! Great place had a fun time people watching on busy street only complaint downstairs space has very strong mildew odor. Manager was great to bring air fresheners but it was not enough to cover the smell. I’m very sensitive to smell so probably would not rent again.

Good for family stays We went to celebrate a family member who got married during COVID and family could not do anything. They like the coast so we celebrated in Port A. Property was as expected and the pool was an added plus.

Mother’s Day Trip This was my family’s first get together in over a year in a half and we really enjoyed being able to all be under one roof.

Mothers Day 2021 Booking was easy on-line. Contactless checkin was convenient. Property was as advertised. There were some cleanliness issues. Pool wasn’t as clean as we would have liked, but the wind kept blowing debris. Great for our large group. Private downstairs apartment was great.

Nauti Mermaid is for everyone We had a large group with ages ranging 10-52 and everyone loved the property. The kids loved their own tv with Roku and the pool. The adults loved everything else. We had a problem with check in bc their was a property emergency. I had to emailed and called bc we had no check in information 30 minutes up to check in time. When I called I was thankfully assisted by Adrianna who was very forth coming about the issues. We literally received check in information when we pulled in at 4:04 and someone from agency approached our vehicle. It was a Thursday in off peak season so we were a little disappointed we didn’t get at least an extra hour check in. I’m sure this was a rare occurrence. It wouldn’t prohibit us from renting again bc the property was beautiful.
