Came to Ottawa with my family for a few days and booked this spot based on price and area. Overall, 3/5. Pros: • Noel very responsive, friendly, and good with communication • Was quiet in the neighbourhood • Beds comfortable • Parking (for a fee) Cons: • Noise from unit above was loud • Front door key pad was difficult (used back door after check-in) • Broken pull out couch - damaged • Derogatory writings in two locations (had to explain to an 8 year old) • Wood flooring needs some TLC • needs a good cleaning • Bathroom... All in all, it was a place to rest our heads. Not a place to spend a lot of time in.

J’ai demandé un remboursement mais je n’ai eu aucun contact. Jai du dormir dans un autre endroit . Je me suis fait escroquer mon argent

The team was quite supportive and responsive, easy to talk to, and accommodating. I’ll definitely stay here when next I’ Positive: The cozy nature of the property, the giant sized beds, the provision of cleaning and cooking materials, the secluded parking, though paid, proximity to locations. Negative: The bin at the back kept falling off and wasn’t really firmly secured. I had to pick it up several times to utilize the parking spot. The pet feeding place could be turned upside down when not in use as my toddler tried to put his hands in it each time he came out.

L'appartement est tel que décrit et offre un excellent rapport qualité - prix. L'appartement était très propre à notre arrivée et est bien situé. L'hôte est très disponible et répond rapidement. Excellent séjour!

An enjoyable 3 days. Positive: Quiet residential area. Walkable to the centre. Had facilities we needed. Great value for money Negative: Bedrooms had large beds and storage but not spacious to move around.

Noel’s apartment was just what we needed for our brief time in Ottawa and good value. King-sized beds were comfortable and everything was clean and functioned well. It is quite close to the university and walking distance from eateries and pubs. Thank you!

The lay out of the place is a little weird, but works. It feels like the whole house is different AirBnB lets and we got unlucky with our neighbours above us, who had a fight the one night and then jumped around at 3am the next. Location is good, with a 30 min walk you end up in most places you want to go. The place itself is clean but has seen better days. For what you're paying for a short stay here, you can almost afford a reasonable hotel in the area.

Ahh this place was just perfect for me and mines. We like a cute and neat it is. The beds were so comfy! Everything clean. Not many homeless folks outside at all. We Loveeed the kitchen space the most. Noel was so responsive. We liked this place so much we extended our stay and will be coming back as soon as it’s available again.

Great location and lots of space for 2 adults. Kitchen was well set up and appreciated having in suite laundry for our week long stay.

My friend and I had a lovely stay in Ottawa. This was a last minute booking as our original Airbnb host had cancelled only a few weeks before our trip. So we were thankful that we found William’s place in such short notice and it fit all our needs. We had great communication with it the William during the duration of our stay. We really appreciated that he checked in with us daily to see how we were doing. The Airbnb is in a quiet neighbourhood and a nice 20 minute walk to Byward Market and the Parliament buildings. The beds and apartment were comfortable and the listing was as described. We appreciated the free Netflix to watch movies after a long day of walking. They had several appliances to use in the kitchen. I especially appreciated the Keurig machine for my morning coffee but be sure to bring coffee pods. Or purchase them at the grocery stores on Rideau. There was also a nice coffee shop a few blocks away called Figaros that had great coffee and sandwiches.

The place was very convenient. The only issue was that some guests in a neighboring apartment were very noisy late at night. I understood, since it was the December 24 holiday.

Good location for our needs but some issues. Positive: The location served it's purpose for our attendance at the Shaw Centre for a conference. Negative: There is one door that enters the house and then inside there are 2 doors. One goes to another unit that has an upstairs and there is a family living there with what we believe are young children. The noise was very disturbing as we could hear every footstep and there was noise until 2:30 in the morning. I think the people living upstairs need to be conscious that if the downstairs is being rented out they need to be quieter or at least put more sound proofing in. We weren't there at all during the day. We wouldn't stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Noel's place. We were out most of the day and mainly came back to sleep. The beds were comfortable, and everything met our needs.

Thank you for lending us your lovely space. The neighbourhood is so nice with big trees and clean roads. Location was perfect for us and allowed us easy access to the city. Also we want to send an extra thanks as we ended up at your place overnight as a result of another property falling through not being able to be cleaned and opened for us after we had already traveled to ottawa and had reservations made for the night. You were our saving grace and thanks to the Air BNB team for all their fast help getting us settled somewhere safely.

Good location, quiet area. however, the house is old and only one bathroom for two bedrooms so it somehow is inconvenient.

We stayed here for a grad ceremony at U Ottawa. It was okay for what we needed. We were there over the weekend and there was many people coming in and out of the unit beside us at all hours of the night. They were having trouble getting their code right which caused the system to been constantly. No fault of the host but worth noting.

Noel is an exceptional host. Very responsive and helpful. The unit is near UOttawa and has many restaurant options in the neighborhood. Parking options onsite available for smaller vehicles, but for larger ones you'll need to find a paid garage or surface parking 5-10 minutes away.

Had a nice stay in Noel's Airbnb. The place was clean and had all the amenities, and the area was very safe. The only complaint is that parking was a little tough on weekdays.

Great location for skating on the Canal! Walking distance to Rideau center and other restaurants. There were some issues with the locks at check-in, but Noel responded very quickly to solve the problem.

Noel’s place was exactly as listed, with no surprises. We arrived, parked our car and walked everywhere during our three night stay. It is close to the canal, restaurants, parliament buildings and everything else you would want to see. Noel is a great host and quickly responded to all our questions before and during our stay.

Everything as described. Host is very responsive and friendly. Comfortable King size beds with extra sheets, blankets and pillows for the pull out couch.

It was great to have a whole apartment to ourselves instead of booking just a room. Was definitely walking distance to the University which was great. The only thing I didn't like was the shower, I think they should install a hand held shower head as it was really hard to rinse off, and the mattress was really hard, but its not a big deal, I just prefer a soft bed. I would definitely rent from Noel again if I ever return to Ottawa.

Noel was very friendly and she was happy to help, we only had a little trouble just getting the code on the door to work but Noel had no problem helping and she was very quick with responding. I would definitely stay here again. The area was very nice and the Airbnb was just as described in her description.

Awesome place! Super cozy and beds were massive!! Definitely recommend this place!!

It was a good stay. however ,the door lock was not that functioning well so we had a little hard time to check in. Also, the path to parking is really narrow so if you drive large suv or mini van, you can't get into the parking lot. Other than those issues, the place is clean and location was great!!

L'appartement n'est pas telque sur les photos. La douche etait l'endroit le moins appréciée. Un sous sol effrayant dont la porte était ouverte et non barrée nous faisant nous sentir paniqué et effrayé comme dans un film d'horreur. Nous avons dû barricader la porte avec les tables et commodes disponibles. Le plancher, les lits, la cuisine. Pas correcte. Toute la maison mérite une rénovation....

Bien placé et propriétaire réactif Positive: Très proche du canal rideau et du centre. 2 Tres grands lits Negative: Le sofa bed a besoin d’être changé ou reparé. Le propriétaire devrait faire le nécessaire. L’appartement a de bons equipements mais il est vieillot. Il mériterait d’être rafraîchi (peinture, salle de bain)

As a host Noel was always responded quickly and made communication easy. The place was in a quiet neighborhood with convenience stores nearby. Check in was easy and manageable. I would recommend to family and friends.

Probably an older rundown building which could be cleaner but was downtown. Free Parking was limited on street but paid parking on premise? Not sure but stayed one night. Anyways, thanks.

Amazing stay!!

Pros: Clean 2 bedroom unit on lower level Washer / Dryer in unit. Proximity to Byward Market & Rideau Center could have been communicated a bit better. Farther than expected. Quiet neighborhood Cons: Check in time was strictly adhered to and communication was abrupt. 4 p.m. - I was there at 3:50 and was told to wait until 4. But at checkout (11 a.m.), cleaner came at 10:55 a.m. and I had not checked out online yet. I was just about to, but still a bit of a shock. We were on street level, we could hear every step and word spoken of anyone going to the upstairs unit. Also, we could hear them walking in their unit. Only high end appliances would be the washer dryer. Stove old and grungy, fridge was OK. A few items were missing of which we wanted and were on listing: Hair Dryer, wine glasses and Kettle. No bedside lamps One door went to the basement - should have been locked as it was definitely not a place you want to go to. We did not go down, but could have.

Negative: Option to check-in a bit earlier. Host was still cleaning at the check-in time.

This place had fantastic location with restaurants and bars walkable.

The host was very responsive and accommodating, especially with our last-minute request to add an extra night, which we really appreciated. The communication was quick and easy throughout our stay. The space itself was okay for a short stay, though a few areas could use a bit of attention to detail to make it feel more comfortable and polished. It wasn’t quite what we expected from the listing, but it worked for our needs in the moment. With a few improvements, it could be a great spot. Overall, we’re grateful for the flexibility and quick responses from the host.

Noel's place is well located, in a quiet street close to the university and some restaurants of the area. you can walk in the night safely, get to know the area. the house is simple but has everything that is needed. Parking at the back of the house may be tricky for a wide car, but there is street parking (free over the weekend).

Sleepless nights... Positive: There i is absolutely nothing I could say to suggest that anyone stay here unless you wanted to hawk some illicit items off the porch in this central location. Negative: To start, it was unclean. The sheets looked like they were used as a painter's drop sheet. The towels could have passed for "shop towels" in a garage they were so thread barren. There wasn't a kettle in the kitchen. When I looked for pots to boil water, they resembled camping pots with all 3 burnt on the inside bottom. A hairdryer was promised, and none was found. Our upstairs neighbours went out at 10:30pm and left their poor dog crying until they returned home at 3:30am to continue their party for a few more hours (the noise sounded like it came from our apartment, the walls were super thin). I am unclear if the back door ever locked. To top it off, we were woken up by a skunk who seemingly let go just below our window that did have a screen. The pullout bed had sheets, as described above, but the only blanket was a thin baby's crib blanket. I think I've said enough.

Nice and quite place, would go back again

Notre séjour chez Noël s’est très bien déroulé. L’emplacement non loin de l’université d’Ottawa et des bars nous a permis de passer un meilleur séjour et de découvrir Ottawa. Le Airbnb était excellent. Le seul problème était à notre arrivée, où nous avions dû attendre environ 1h dehors le temps que notre unité soit nettoyé. Mis à part ce problème tout s’est bien passé. La communication avec Noël était relativement rapide.

It was pleasant Positive: The bed was amazingly comfortable. There was enough space for everyone Negative: Parking was an issue. There wasn’t enough cutlery for 4 people. It was the middle of winter and no mats to put boots.

Nice and cozy place with everything you need to spend the weekend. Good location near downtown and walking distance of all the touristic attractions!

Everything went well. The only problem is that the apartment can be a bit noisy, specially when neighbors are coming downstairs.

The apartment met our needs perfectly. The beds and couch were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for basic meals. Both of these are rare for an Airbnb, in my experience. We felt safe and could easily walk anywhere we needed to go.

The communication with William was great, but the accommodation was not as described. It was not clean, nor was shampoo, shower gel, soap or any sheets provided for the sofa bed (as stated).

Beautiful apartment in a convenient location. Check in was easy, host was very responsive. You do have to pay for onsite parking but we just parked on the street and it was fine. Check in was a bit later and check out was earlier than I’m used to but maybe that’s the norm for the area (4 pm check in/ 10 am check out). But overall a great place to relax after a day of exploring Ottawa!
