Lovely place with room for all of us. We had 5 adults and one toddler. The pantry was pretty bare bones, we did have to go out for salt, other than that we didn't require much as we brought ingredients. The fire pit is operated by propane which was out so we switched with the grill tank. I let Kelly know about the propane tank and she was trying to get one to us but it didn't come. The game room was a bit hit. We were offered another night at a reduced rate however we couldn't stay any longer. Overall, we had a relaxed weekend.

We had a fabulous day at this beautiful house for Jmu family weekend! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our crew, great Kitchen and the most comfortable beds! The house was so cozy and beautiful and perfectly appointed. The hot tub took quite a long time to heat up, so be sure to start that as soon as you arrive. And I so wish we’ve been able to use the fire pit outdoors, but unfortunately, we were in a monsoon all weekend! Next time! We will certainly be staying here again

Great place!

Great stay! The place was very clean, neat, and well kept. The host was very communicative and responsive whenever needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Kelly's place was exactly what we were looking for for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. We had a large group and it was the perfect amount of space. All the amenities kept us all more than busy and the place being so close to Shenandoah was a huge plus.

Great place

A great house for a family get together. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cups, cookware, and utensils. Game room was awesome, many activities to keep kids and adults busy. The beds were comfortable and the master bathroom had a walk in shower and a jacuzzi bathtub. Kelly responded quickly to any message I sent her.

We stayed with another family and had 5 kids total. This place is such a gem for large groups esp with kids. Our family loved the game and theater room and the house has everything you could ever want. There was a little bit of construction at a house next door but overall the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We will absolutely rebook.

Modern peaks is not so modern. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms are furnished very well. The location is ideal. BUT: the kitchen needs to be upgraded, the cabinets are very outdated, the fridge is too small, there are not nearly enough pots, and the stovetop barely works! The AC is nonexistent on the upper floor and set to refrigerate on the lower and basement levels, and this in record-breaking heat. Had it not been extremely inconvenient, we would have opted to move. I love Massanutten and wanted to love this house, but would not choose to stay here again.

Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed the house. The host was extremely responsive and always replied within about 30 minutes and allowed late checkout, which we really appreciated. There were a few maintenance and cleanliness issues during our stay. One of the stove burners was not working, some of the screen doors were broken, sauna didn’t turn on and the hot tub was dirty when we arrived. However, when these concerns were brought up, the host responded quickly and offered solutions, including sending someone out to address the issues. While there is room for improvement regarding maintenance and cleanliness, the host’s communication and willingness to help made the experience much better. Overall, we still had a good stay and appreciated their efforts to resolve the problems.

Adorable house with lots of sleeping space

Kelly was helpful from the start. She was very responsive and made sure everything was up to our satisfaction throughout the whole trip. The house was even more beautiful in person and would highly recommend booking if you are staying in the area. You won’t be disappointed!

A great stay for a group of young adults for a long weekend. The home and its amenities exceeded our expectations from the game room, the theatre room, and beautiful outdoor space- we didn’t have enough time to enjoy all it had to offer! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking several meals. We would love to return for longer to explore the resort!

This was a beautiful property with lots of amenities. We only stay two nights for a JMU graduation ceremony. It comfortably held all 10 of us. There was a storm the first night, so we didn't have time to use outside amenities, but there was plenty of things inside the house that kept us entertained! The place was spotless, well kept, but was also homey. Kelly is the best I've seen. Almost immediate replies to my MANY queries and they always resulted in agreeable compromise. We all stated that we would love to come back during the colder months and enjoy the area in winter. You can't lose here. Its a very good choice, and very well run!

Our stay was wonderful as a family with small kids! The kids loved the house just as much as the nearby water park, which was only 5 minutes away. The hot tub was great—we even got to enjoy it on our first day after check-in. We played ping pong, relaxed by the little fire pit at night, and spent the following days at the water park. The arcade in the garage was a big hit. The owner added little thoughtful touches, like camping toys and a tiny room under the stairs that the kids discovered—they had so much fun playing there while the adults relaxed on the balcony or by the fire pit. The house truly felt like a family home, clean and welcoming, the bedding and linens were fresh and comfortable. The master bedroom is delightful. and The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with.

We didn’t arrive to the home until 4:00am and we were all exhausted and happy to find nice comfortable beds for everyone to have some much needed space after a 10 hour car ride. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pans, pots etc so once we got up for the day making breakfast was quick and easy. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub, putt putt and game room while my husband loved the sauna. We ended the night grilling and then spending time in the theater room watching a movie as a family. The home isn’t far from Luray caverns so I highly recommend checking that out, and Karen’s Frozen Custard stand in Shenandoah was great too. Such a beautiful area. Overall, the host was responsive, the home was beautiful and spacious, and I highly recommend it! 10 stars!

Overall, good stay! Positive: I loved the entire home. Negative: The master bedroom bedframe was broken.

We loved the accommodations. There was room for everyone to enjoy. The theater room and game room were a hit with the kids. While the adults enjoyed the sauna and hot tub.

Beautiful home with awesome onsite amenities and a great location close to the ski area. We really enjoyed the space and everything it had to offer. Unfortunately, weather cut our trip short and we had to leave a day early on our two-night stay. We were hoping for a refund for the lost night, but the host offered an extra night instead, which we couldn’t use due to road concerns. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but the host was responsive and addressed them quickly. Overall, a great place to stay, especially for a ski trip.

Modern Peaks was a 10! The perfect spot for a 2 family ski trip. There was so much space for kids, parents, and grandparents. Everyone was comfortable and entertained. The garage game room was a big hit with so many fun games and things to do when we were off the mountain. The hot tub and sauna were so nice to enjoy after a day of skiing to wind down and relax. Besides all of the wonderful amenities, the house couldn’t have been cuter. The house was the perfect location for our ski trip. Just 5 minutes from the chair lift and the many other Massanutten attractions. It was easy to get to with plenty of parking. Kelly was a great host. Checked in and was very responsive. We’d definitely stay again for our next Massanutten trip.

House was really nice. Grandkids really enjoyed the game room, theater space, and hot tub. Close to all the resort activities. We had a wonderful stay and can recommend this listing

The house is amazing! Beautifully decorated! We stayed here for our Christmas get together everyone had room to spread out and do their own thing while still feeling like we were together we had an amazing time !

We had a great TDay family reunion at this big beautiful and comfy house. It has everything we needed, plenty to do in the house for all ages and surrounding area has even more. Fenced in yard was a huge bonus with a pet. Thank you!

Kelly’s place is super beautiful tons of things to do with a game room that is not even listed on here but we really enjoyed!! Close to tons of things to do in the area as well as Shenandoah would definitely come back! Plenty of space for big families

Awesome, attentive host! The home was beautiful and spacious. Our family made use of the hot tub, game room, popcorn machine and the awesome kitchen.

My friends and I booked this Airbnb for four nights during our university fall break, and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Not only was the location amazing, within an hour of Shenandoah National Park, but the amenities were incredible. We were huge fans of the hot tub and sauna and made full use of the fire pit, game room, and large projector. The guys loved playing pool and foosball, and the comfy couches and theater setup downstairs were perfect for movie nights. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the house’s proximity to a Food Lion made cooking easy. On top of the wonderful house, our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. Whenever I had a question, they responded quickly and were always kind. Overall, I cannot recommend staying here enough, especially for large groups who love the outdoors but also appreciate comfort and modern amenities. We hope to come back soon!
