A wood-burning stove creates a cozy ambiance for quiet evenings, while the open-plan kitchen and dining area for four make mealtime a breeze. The queen bedroom, just across the hall, offers a restful retreat, and a door leading outside allows easy indoor-outdoor living right from the bedroom.

Outside, the beauty of the property continues with an inviting fire pit and outdoor dining area to enjoy meals under the stars. A BBQ grill completes the setup for relaxing evenings. A half-mile hiking trail begins behind the cabin, marked with blue dots on the trees, inviting you to explore the property’s natural beauty.

For a true taste of Mill River, indulge in candlelit dinners at The Old Inn on the Green, browse the provisions at the Mill River General Store, or enjoy a leisurely brunch at the Southfield Store. Take a dip in Umpachene Falls or explore the area's many hiking trails. In the winter months, Butternut and Catamount ski resorts are just 10-20 minutes away, offering fantastic skiing opportunities.

Meadow Top Cottage is 1 mile from the Mill River General Store; filled with local food, produce and staples. It is also close to Sheffield and Great Barrington which have several grocery stores, outstanding restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, yoga and more. You’re close to many hiking trails, skiing, arts and cultural institutions. With Umpachene Falls and Lake Garfield around the corner, bringing swimsuits in the summer is a must.

Meadow Top Cottage is under 3 hours from Boston and 3 hours from NYC. You’ll need a car to get here and to get around. The house has an internet connection and moderate cell service with AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. The Berkshires is full of cellular dead zones, so we recommend downloading the region’s online maps to your device prior to arrival or any day while you’re here at the cottage. The cottage has a shared driveway, so please make sure you do not park in the circle of the driveway. Either pull into one of the spots or use the garage. Thank you!

Guests have exclusive access to the cabin and a private outdoor space with grill, table and chairs; access to the larger 72-acre estate is shared, which includes lush grounds and a rolling landscape. The pool and hot tub on the estate are not included in the cabin amenities.
