Log Retreat w/ Private Pickleball Court in Fish Creek! — Guest Reviews

For the price charged at this property, the property was in below average condition. Yes the location was excellent with close access to Fish Creek. Peaceful location. Pickleball court was a big plus. That said there are a number of general maintenance items that the house needs taken care of. These include1. Many patio doors the screens were either completely missing or torn so leaving the patio doors open was not an option in many of the rooms.2. Dining room light fixture - 4 of the 5 lightbulbs were burnt out.3. Lazy susan door was barely attached if at all.4. Toaster was broken. We ended up buying a cheap one and leaving it there.5. Toilet upstairs clogged four times. I understand you are on septic, but it should not clog multiple times.6. Control panel on Refrigerator was taped on and had to be pushed in periodically.7. Entry had animal droppings by front posts. As well as area under the deck had a lot of leaves that had been there a long time8. Basement was quite musty including mold in the lower--level bathroom. This caused 2 of our guests who have allergy issues to be uncomfortable.9. Pickleball net was loose and we fixed with zip ties10. Seals on many windows are broken and hard to see out of.11. Rails on patios need to be checked for safety as many were loose.12. Outdoor grill was filthy and unusable..

This place is ideally located and has a lot of space and is great for a family. Would receive a 5 star rating if it weren’t for a few maintenance issues.1) Kitchen faucet broken and water purifier not working at all. Kitchen has a lot of supplies, but needs organizing.2) Need new refrigerator: no ice and no ice cube trays provided, water dispenser didn’t work. (Luckily freezer in basement had ice, but not convenient; they did offer to reimburse for bottled water and bag of ice).3) doors to lovely deck do not work, need adjustments and new screens. Doors very hard to open and didn’t close right.4) Awesome pickleball court in ideal location, however, the area for spectators outside the patio doors going into house on lower lever was really dirty. Cigarette butts, large pile of dirt and leaves in corner and needs cement power washed. Only dirty part of house. 5) No window shades or curtains other than one bedroom. Great fire pit, a large yard, 5 min drive to fish creek downtown. Games & game tables provided if you want to use them…would rent again if these things were fixed.

Property was as described- was perfect size for our group of 15 people. Plenty of room for everyone, kitchen was well stocked but kitchen faucet was not in 100%working condition (had been noted in previous review - difficult to switch between spray and stream and didn’t fully retract- didn’t impact our ability to use it though). Bedding and towels were clean and high quality, bathrooms were well stocked. Screen door to the deck needs to be fixed but again, didn’t impact our stay. Outdoor space was well kept and lovely- found a few beer bottles and a bit of trash from last stay but no big deal. Lots of places nearby to get firewood and a convenient location for whatever someone would want to do in Door County.

Great vacation spot. Hosted 15 friends for a weekend get-together. Host was extremely responsive and flexible to work with check-in times and all else. Spacious home with plenty of beds and spaces for activity. Would rent again.

The place was as advertised. I'll be se sing a seperate message to the host so that they fox a few things and make the experience even better for the next guests.

Beautiful lodge.

Very cozy , peaceful. Wood cabin with natural vibe which we find very relaxing Being in the woods gives seclusion with more than 3 acre area with nice views, fresh air outdoor seating with fire pit under dark sky added a lot to the enjoyment. Good for Groups We would love to visit this home again & highly recommend

Awesome cabin in the woods! Very spacious, clean, and charming. We hosted a family birthday party and the place was awesome for it. Loved the pickleball court!

We loved staying at the log cabin. It was a beautiful house with lots of activities such as a pool table, pickleball court, ping pong table and the garage was filled with games for the kids. The property was very private with deer roaming in the yard everyday. We had all the amenities we needed and we were close to downtown Fish Creek. We would recommend this house for its location and its beautiful aesthetic.

Leadership retreat The property was beautiful and perfect for our leadership retreat. There were multiple spaces that we could do small breakout groups, the bonfire pit and fireplace were amazing gathering spaces. Overall, my team of 18 really enjoyed themselves! Also, plenty of space for everyone to have their own bed.

Spacious and beautiful The Log Retreat is spacious, inside and out, in a beautiful setting and great location. It accommodated our family well with a well equipped kitchen, very good beds and many onsite activities including pickleball, ping pong and a pool table. We were delighted with how it suited our family’s needs and we enjoyed our stay.
