We stayed at the house with my husband, grown daughter and 2 grown nephews as well as our 1 year old Labrador retriever and there was plenty of room. The fenced in yard was a bonus with our dog. The kitchen was well stocked with high quality pots and pans, a gas stove, a Bosch dishwasher. Of note, there was no microwave but I did mention to the hosts this would be a desirable addition if not exactly French in feel.. We didn’t use pantry items but there were spices, oil, vinegar, etc. The bathrooms were clean with state of the art showers in both. The rest of the house was rustic but comfortable for hanging out. Though the house was managed by a company rather than owners they were responsive to all my questions and requests . We would come back again when we visit the Catskills.
A lovely cottage in a quiet location. Not far from town etc. clean and comfortable! And happily allows our dogs to join us!
I fell in love with Le Petite the minute I drove up to it. The setting is gorgeous, with mountains directly behind it and the saugerties reservoir across the street. The fenced in yard was perfect for my dog. The yard stays pretty wet as it is sits fairly low on the property, so his feet got dirty if the ground wasn’t frozen. That said, there’s a second door that leads directly to a lovely bathroom with walk in shower and handheld shower head to clean off his feet. He loved it when i opened THAT door as he knew he was going to get a warm foot-washing! The house has a layout that makes it good for guests - two stairways to separate upstairs bedrooms that don’t connect, so it’s great for privacy. I lived here for 3 months and had several issues come up, but Red Cottage was quick to respond. Like many Airbnb’s this house had only one small closet for me to store my things. All other closets and dressers were either locked or filled with the owners things so would be best for shorter stays
We were attending a nearby competition and our dogs accompany us. The cottage was adorable and clean. Kitchen clean and organized. Very quiet location and comfortable area to walk around.
We had a great time staying here. Rustic cottage charm with all the modern amenities. Very pet friendly too with plenty of outdoor space for our pup to run around and relax. Highly recommend staying here + it’s super close and convenient to other towns like Kingston, Phoenicia and Woodstock. The host is very responsive and accommodating. Excellent spot!
This is a lovely place to stay. It looks just like the photos. We used the house as our base to explore Saugerties, Kingston, Woodstock and Rhinebeck. It’s a peaceful location. Our dog enjoyed sitting in the sun.
My family enjoyed our stay. We were visiting the area for a family reunion and the location was perfect for us. Cottage was cozy and clean. The communication was clear and host was very responsive.
We were so thrilled immediately upon arriving at the property. Everything from the quant property, to the comfortable beds, to the high end kitchen made our stay so enjoyable. The beautifully designed interiors and historic garden were the perfect backdrop to our family weekend. The waterfall across the street was a favorite with our three year old. Will def come again!

Great, cute, quiet little spot. Very cozy with lots of wildlife! We saw bunnies, deer, and even a bald eagle during our stay.
It was wonderful to walk into such a well fitted out home with quality renovations and good quality furniture. Tasteful interior decorations. The French kitchen was a dream with quality cookware. A panty with herbs and spices and extra food for cooking! Our favourite spot was on the rocking chairs on the porch. Sitting in the morning sun drinking coffee. We went to rest , relax and explore the Catskills and it was a great place to stay. So close to the Catskills mountains-25 mins to the mountains. . A stream and small lake was adjacent and we saw a beaver in the stream. Amazing! It was spring and the flowers were out so bumble bees and hummingbirds birds. Woodstock was 20 mins away which is a great place to shop and eat out. A wonderful play to stay. Highly recommend it!
Some friends and I stayed here for Thanksgiving and had a really peaceful and fun time enjoying the house, the kitchen (well stocked) and local hikes. Felt even more charming than we expected. Great time!

HITS horse show The property was clean, cute and very comfortable. Love the country charm and the proximity to the horse show grounds (about 12 min drive). One of the upstairs bedrooms was a little tough for my 6'5" husband clearance wise but it all worked out great.

Lovely cottage nestled in the trees. We arrived at night which did make it slightly harder to find. Older country home but it’s updated to provide all that we needed to stay comfortablely without losing the French cottage charm I recommend this home to anyone who’s looking for something that is unique and cozy. This is not a boring cookie cutter copy of many of the other standard rentals. Would love to rent this space again next year.

Second time staying at this property while attending HITS on the Hudson. Perfect size, great location, and easy to understand entry and stay instructions. We loved this place the first time we stayed and the second time didn’t disappoint! Thank you
Could be better Overall the property was okay and our stay was satisfactory. Main problem was flies in the house and in particular the third bedroom. So we would up spending too much time dealing with that. There's not much to do on the Saugerties side of the Hudson so next time we'll stay on the other side (Rhinebeck, Kingston etc.).
Fantastic place - it's becoming our home away from home in Saugerties. Everything is just right. Look forward to staying here again.
This cottage was even better than the pictures! Such great details and charm - plenty of space and cozy at the same time. Wood-burning stove perfect for the winter. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and spacious bathrooms. Location was convenient and very close to Saugerties. Super responsive and helpful host as well. Would highly recommend!

What an oasis! We loved our stay. The property is beautiful, and the house is full of charm and character. The beds are very comfortable, and the space is warm and inviting. Plenty of cookware and great space for cooking. The outdoor area is wonderful as well. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Red Cottage is entirely wonderful. It is clear that renovations were done with a keen eye for the details that make a home comfortable and charming. The kitchen is gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, and the living room is a place you never want to leave - record player and records included. We will be back again and again. Red Cottage is a lovely home. Very comfortable in a pretty location. You can sit on the patio and the sound of running water is so relaxing. The host was always promptly responded to any questions we had. The house has an easy layout. Air conditioning worked great. Good location to town and horse show. Would definitely stay in the future.
