Beautiful home, well maintained and responsive, helpful owner!

This was the perfect space for a long weekend getaway. The house provided plenty of space for all 11 of us without ever feeling crowded and the scenery was beautiful. Also, having the sauna was a really nice touch. We loved every minute.

Coming from the beach, this was exactly the mountain getaway the girls needed! It’s was picture perfect. We loved all the outdoor spaces! What a great way to ring in Fall!

Amazing house. We saw maybe 2 people our whole time so very remote and quiet. Had everything we needed and then some. Had three families stay and all the kids loved the hot tub and the stocked pond which was amazing for fishing. All around, an amazing experience

We planned a camp weekend for my sisters bachelorette. We wanted s place to stay where we wouldn’t have to leave and could do fun activities on the property: this was perfect. We Played field games on the outside yard, utilized the pool and ping pong tables and had so much chilling in the hot tub. It was perfect for our secluded weekend. Kelly was quick to respond and we found everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Short drive from the interstate. Loved the ponds, hot tub, sauna, and large deck. The kitchen was a lot smaller than expected. Advertised for 15 guests so I expected more room. It was hard to cook with two people. Some of it felt very outdated too. I expected newer/nicer for the price. There were two jetted tubes but both had broken knobs and the water pressure was extremely slow. We gave up trying to fill one and ran out of hot water trying so took cold showers. The biggest problem was two of the three toilets wouldn’t flush. I messaged the host and she wanted a video (which I thought was unnecessary and gross but sent anyway) she said she’d send someone. They never showed so she offered $60 back. I thought that was a low “goodwill gesture” considering we paid over $500/night and had to share the only working toilet (which was in the master bedroom) with 10 people. It really ruined the stay. I specifically picked this place over others because of the extra bathrooms and jetted tub.

This place was INCREDIBLE! Exactly what you picture when you think of a true log cabin getaway. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were tucked away in our own peaceful corner of the mountains. The outdoor space is what really makes this property special. The huge wraparound decks overlook a private, serene pond, and you’re constantly surrounded by the quiet sound of flowing water from nearby streams. The pond being stocked with fish was such a great touch. We spent our days fishing, exploring the surrounding areas, and relaxing on the deck, then roasting s’mores by the fire pit at night. The hot tub and barrel sauna were a huge bonus. The hot tub was clean and perfect after a hike, and starting the day with a morning sauna session quickly became a favorite. There were a ton of beds and they were all comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Overall, this place is a 10/10. We would absolutely come back.

The cabin was beautiful inside and out. Loved the ponds. Went to sleep listening to the frogs and woke up hearing the birds singing. The sounds of the waterfalls were a plus. Very relaxing.

This log house was a great space for 2 families. The fishing pond was a great hit as was the game room for the kids. The adults enjoyed the wrap around porches and the quiet location of the house. It’s also 1.5hr drive to Mount Mitchell & Grand Fathers Mountain. A quick thing to note is the road leading up to the house is a mountain road & the driveway is steep. This house wouldn’t be ideal if you have ambulatory issues as you have to use steps (nothing negative regarding the house-it’s a log cabin in the woods).

I am sure this property was once a gem, but it’s now outdated and in need of maintenance and a deep clean. There was a significant amount of dust everywhere, broken tiles, etc. The hot tub was only lukewarm. Cooking caused smoke as the burners were not clean. The driveway is muddy and would benefit from added gravel. Lastly, I received way too many messages from the host. For example, since booking, I have 13 messages, and 5 of them were on Saturday while I was at the home. Most of them are repeats and seem like they're automated, or I am dealing with AI. With proper maintenance, cleaning, and communication that is considerate, this property could be 5-stars.

We had an amazing stay at Kelly’s place in Mars Hill! The home was comfortable, well-located, and perfect for a family getaway. One of the highlights was its proximity to Asheville—close enough to enjoy the city, yet far enough to fully relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. For anyone who enjoys the outdoors, this spot is a gem. There are fantastic trails nearby, making it ideal for trekking and nature lovers. We were lucky enough to experience a bit of everything—beautiful weather, some snow, and great scenery. Kelly was a wonderful host, and we truly appreciated the experience. We’d absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!

I have been on Airbnb for over 6 years now and this has easily been one of the best stays. I went to this cabin with a large group of family and friends and it comfortable housed all 14 of us with room to spare. It was quiet and peaceful like I have not experienced in a while having lived in the city for the last few years. The house was clean and very cozy and welcoming. Kelli is an excellent host and responds almost immediately. The whole process was so easy. I certainly would love to come back.

Very charming cabin. The gravel road and driveway were steeper and rougher than anticipated. Make sure you check the amenities as early as possible. We had a few issues with the hot tub, stove, grill, and game room lighting that had to be troubleshot. Firewood, tinder, and lighter were not provided. The host was helpful and prompt. Good location for Hatley pt.

We were 2 families traveling with 4 kids and this place was the perfect fit for everyone in our party! The location is fantastic with fishing ponds a hikes out the back door. There is plenty to do at the house and only a few minutes from the Harley Pointe ski resort. We look forward to returning in the spring or summer to experience this place in warmer weather, too! Highly recommend this property and its hosts.

The place was great and had all the little necessities that you would typically forget so that was super nice! A unique set up but in a great way! Very cozy and spacious.

We chose this property because of the location and because it is pet-friendly. Our dogs LOVED it - plenty of space to run around and explore, and they slept great each night. Lakeside Cabin is a great location for kids or big groups. The sauna, hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, fire pit, and big decks are perfect for gathering. Also, the host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Loved Kelly's place. Absolutely gorgeous location on this beautiful lake. Plenty of room for a big group to hang out. We had so much fun in the hot tub and the sauna. Definitely recommend! Thanks Kelly for being such a great host!

This was a great place to stay. Private and secluded just like we wanted. The house got a little cold in some rooms, but it was also stocked with multiple heaters which really helped. Wood burning fireplaces added a great ambiance too. Bring your own firewood. We brought some in hopes of finding some around but there really wasn't anything worth gathering. Overall a great stay and would go back again

House was beautiful inside and out! Plenty of tables and chairs on the patios. The kitchen was equipped better than most places we have stayed at before. It has a beautiful view of the gazebo and the pond behind it. The only two downsides is the house is not very ADA assessable, and there is not a shared bathroom on the main floor. (There is only one in a bedroom)

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was very peaceful and cozy. We loved the Little Creek Cafe just up the road and Mars Hill was an awesome little town too. Would definitely recommend!
