We had a great time here, and the kids loved it too! The beach was only about a five-minute walk away, and the owners were very responsive. We ended up renting golf carts, which I highly recommend for getting around town—it made everything even more fun! Prices vary, so shop around if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option. The beach and fishing were definitely the highlights of our trip!
The house is beautifully kept and the view is amazing! My only feedback is there should be a photo included of the grill so guests can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Great clean house! Pictures and descriptions were accurate. Short easy walk to the beach or a very short drive to the closest access point. Parking is tight though, a full size truck takes up a lot of space but otherwise not terrible. Overall it’s a fantastic place to stay and very spacious for a large group staying together.

We came for my Bachelor trip and we could not have had a better time. The space was absolutely amazing! We rented golf carts and didn’t have to get in our vehicles at all other than going to golf. Beach was 2-3 minutes away if that. Amazing house in an amazing location. I will definitely think of this place next time I come!
We had a great time! We always stay at LaPlaya, but this was our first time at this house. Very comfortable for our family of 11. My only request would be for more towels, both bath towels and it would be nice if they offered beach towels too. Comfortable beds.We definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful clean home within walking distance to the beach. Inside the Home was even better than the pictures portrayed! Thoughtful details helped make us feel at home upon arrival. The only flaw was the shower knob not working in the Master Bath, which was manageable since there were two other showers. And we didn't report it until checkout, but the housekeeping crew showed urgency in reporting it. We highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Buyer Beware1. pictures are very inaccurate, likely from many years ago2. air conditioning is not functioning properly, had to call to repairman, fixed problem for a very short period, we were hot and uncomfortable 3. items in the house (pillows, mats, blankets, dressers) were shabby, dirty and in significant disrepair
Was a great place to stay with a large group! We had 11 and felt comfortable. Its a great location very close to the beach and not far from all things in town. Kitchen was well stocked for us to make large group meals. Would stay here again! Heads up, parking for 5 cars is tight! You must double park and there is not parking available outside of the driveway so plan accordingly! We did rent 2 golf cars and were able to park them in the sand next to the house.

The property was only one house away from the boardwalk to the beach - such easy access! And only about a 5 minute drive to the downtown area full of restaurants and activities. The only struggle was they have exactly one towel per person and no beach towels, so come prepared.

The house itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The host was very responsive and made the whole process easy. We had the best 5-night stay here during Spring Break. The location is perfect with a super easy walk to the beach, and the 6-seater golf cart was an unexpected bonus! The home is beautiful and looks just like the photos. We’ve stayed in many vacation homes, and this was absolutely the most well-stocked home we’ve rented. Tons of kitchenware/kitchen appliances, bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, and a huge assortment of beach items in the garage (chairs, canopy tents, sand buckets, outdoor games, boogie boards and more!) We would definitely stay here again!

This house is a nice place with a good view of the gulf of America. Great kitchen with all the utensils. No need to bring anything. We will stay here again when it’s available for a month
Sand Key Vacation Rentals had great communication, no matter the time of day, I always got a prompt response. They were super nice and answered every question I had. Overall, just very kind people with a beautiful and very spacious home. The info book they provide has so many helpful tips about food and activities nearby. The house was clean, comfortable, and I have zero complaints. I would definitely stay with Sand Key Vacation Rentals again or at any of their other locations!

This is our second year staying here and we love the large layout, proximity to the beach, pool table, well stocked kitchen and large porches/patios. The only downside this year is the construction that started next door which is out of the control of the owners. The construction vehicles and workers were out at 7am until late in the afternoon. We still had a good time.
The house was perfect for our group of 11. Everyone was comfortable and plenty of space to spread out. Great access to the beach via a private walk way.

amazing peaceful house right on the beach Loved every second of my stay , even though it was raining the whole time in port aransas this house kept us going with so many bored games and especially the pool table and some amazing views of the ocean from the living room it just all felt right!

The location is really good with easy access to the beach. The entire package provided made our stay as stress free as a trip for 11 could be. It was very easy to be able to just relax and enjoy ourselves. I would definitely stay again.
We had a great stay at this rental. The layout worked perfectly for us— grandparents in one wing of the house and our family of 3 using the master suite and upstairs bunk room. The walk-in pantry in the kitchen was a nice surprise for keeping clutter off the countertops. We appreciated the outdoor shower and downstairs mudroom for secure storage of gear. This could be a 5-star property if a few things were addressed. As others noted, there are abundant pots and pans, but frustratingly, only a few items are actually compatible with the induction stovetop. Most are unusable in this house and should be replaced with appropriate induction cookware. Secondly, the barstools, which double as dining stools since there isn’t a dining table, are very wobbly. I hope they will be replaced soon, as they were spooky to sit on, especially for the elderly members of our party. All that said, the management company was great—quick to respond and offer fixes to a few issues we noticed when we arrived!
This AirBnB home and the folks managing it are amazing. Responded very promptly to all my questions, accommodated our late checkout due to an incident (not related). Everything from the location to the amenities were perfect. Half the group didn’t even want to leave the home to enjoy the beach lol. Location is fantastic. Easy beach access, quiet & friendly street. Owner and management team are very responsive. We needed to contact them a couple of times and always received a prompt and helpful response. House has normal beach "quirks" but well cared for, comfortable & clean. Beds were very comfortable! The bunk room is great for older kids. It is upstairs and no door or gate to secure for toddlers.
Stunning property great location We used this property for a junior/senior trip from a small private school. It was perfectly setup for us with plenty of space and things to do! The property was beautiful and so close to the beach. Thank you for providing a wonderful space for our trip!
Broken satellite dish, fell while we were on porch almost hit kids. Dirty when we got there. Sandy floors. TVs didn’t work. Only a few Pans in kitchen worked on the stove they have (induction stove top). Early checkout (10am).
House was great and right by the beach. There was plenty of room for all 7 of us. Only thing I would complain about would be the pool table is a little beat up from over the years of other guests. Other than that the check in was easy and we felt right at home.

This house is so well equipped and an easy walk to the beach. Tons of outdoor space and an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. Plenty of space inside and the pool table and games/puzzles kept our family entertained. As other reviewers have mentioned, the floors in the kitchen area could use some TLC, but otherwise the house is very tasteful and well decorated. We’re already trying to figure out when we can return!!
Overall the house was good, convenient location, very clean, & very friendly responsive host. But there was a couple of issues, the flooring in the house could use some repair, the beds were very uncomfortable & a couple of the tv’s did not work. So, far the price I would think that those things could be improved.

We spent a beautiful time in family in this fantastic house, exactly like published. Great kitchen, very clean and comfortable. Some stairs to deal ( my mother in low was not happy, she is 86 with some knees problems) but the rest was perfect for the family. We definitely will be back…
This house needs some major repairs done to the floors in kitchen and windows in living room. It rained our entire stay and rain was coming in through several of the windows in living room. The water never got hot in the bathroom by the living room. There were nails all around outside under house along with trash and broken chairs. The stove doesn’t work but with special pots which would have been nice to know because we were not able to cook 2 days out of our 4 day stay. The pool table had all 4 corners broken and was I guess glued but they kept falling off. On the stairs to the upstairs room there was a nail sticking out that cut my son’s foot. In both bedrooms there are tiny tv’s but a big tv in the closet which didn’t make sense. The bedroom that had the queen beds in it you cannot get to the closet because the bed is right up against it and cannot be used. The TV in the bunk room does not work. There are Plenty of much nicer places to stay at in Port A for the price we paid.
Overall, it was decent. However, as a group of mostly 70 and older, the steps were cumbersome, but the handrails greatly appreciated. We understand the houses on the island must be on stilts... It was clean, but there was a prevalent mold smell, definitely not good for those sensitive or with allergies. The ice maker was not working properly and the induction stovetop was not either. The pans to use for the stovetop should be well marked. The toilets in 2 of the 3 bathrooms are antiques --too close to the floor -- not appropriate for anyone over 50!! The seating available wasn't the best for seniors either... The only table and chairs was not in the AC portion of the house -- only on the screen porch, which was too hot. So sitting on the sunken couches to play games or eat around a low coffee table or on high seats around the island/peninsula, was not the best... We were a party of 10, originally 12, but the house can accommodate 14 so parking was tight.

The location is perfect. You have lots of stairs to deal with (expected for the area). The floors need attention, they have been real wet before our stay and we tripped a few times while there. Downstairs storage would be nice. The outdoor shower is great! There was a hose bib, but no hose. So we bought one and ended up leaving it (you’re welcome). There is lots of parking! My brother and his family didn’t feel like they were on top of us, it’s very spacious. And the AC’s work great. The kitchen is nice, lots of space to prep & to cook. The top oven smelled like bad fish, the bottom was fine. The pots and pans do the job, but some do not work with the burners. The locks worked as expected. With the price of this unit, a golf cart should be included, and none of the items listed should have been an issue. Overall, this is a 4 out of 5 star stay (and I’m definitely picky). This place is definitely worth a stay.
This air bnb was perfect and it was very close to the beach!! I would definitely stay here again!
I was disappointed with three main points of our stay. The cleaners were still there at 4 when we were waiting to check in. The furniture was scratchy and uncomfortable. Most troubling was that the air conditioning, stove, Wi-Fi, microwave, washer and dryer were all out of order from 6am to almost 1pm. I understand that things happen, but we did feel our vacation was made quite uncomfortable and could have been avoided by a request not to run too many large appliances at once. It was also irritating to be asked for a five star review five times. I did request a call to discuss this but never received a call back. So my advice is if you rent this property especially in the hotter summer months, don’t try to cook breakfast and do laundry at the same time. And if you do trip some sort of breaker and inadvertently turn off electricity to the home, don’t expect the property managers to compensate you for your loss of what you expected the vacation to be.

Lovely clean home inside. Kitchen well supplied with exception of no coffee. Ice maker did not work. Bathrooms clean and supplied with amenities. Beds comfortable and clean. Three bathrooms located on main floor. Bathroom not located upstairs with bunkbeds. Nice but limited view of the ocean. Close access and walking distance to the beach. Owner should supply "Instruction booklet" for front entry/exit, a/c thermostat, appliances, TV remotes in all rooms, light locations, etc.
This rental from Sandkey was a perfect weekend getaway for the family. We all enjoyed the space it allowed for us to spend the weekend together and the fun we had. Definitely will keep this place in mind for future visits
Girls trip weekend getaway. This place was perfect for all of us to hang out. Easy access to the beach and great gathering spaces. We used the screened in porch area to eat at night. Had everything stocked well. Responsive to issues and questions. Would recommend.

What a fantastic house! It was everything we could have hoped for and more. The pool table was a hit for all the guys, kitchen was equipped with all kinds of pots and pans, each room had access to the back deck and beach access was less than a 5 minute walk. We had the best time and can't wait to come back again

50th bday review It was great overall. Very roomy and great location. There is some visible wear and tear that needs to be attended to. For example, exposed nails that could hurt someone. The outdoor shower area has several old, rusty expoed nails that could hurt someone. Upon entering you notice several boards that also have exposed nails that need attending to before someone trips or cuts themselves and needs a tetanus shot. This place could be perfect if someone would just put a couple of hours work into it. The pool table was perfect for entertaining but also has some very noticeable damage that needs to be taken care of. I would stay here again due to location and size though.

I know its the corporate feeling of property management and this was the first property like this ive stayed in. again it is an amazing property and worth the off season price. ☆☆☆☆☆. also it is a golf cart community and utvs are not allowed just for future reference
My family and I had an incredible time at La Playa! The neighborhood was private and quiet, but not too far away from restaurants and shops; location was perfect. The house itself offered clean spaces, fun activities (board games/pool table), and the perfect areas to enjoy company (large living room, large kitchen island, outside table). My family and I are incredibly pleased with the host and how accommodating, friendly, and responsive Sand Key Vacation Rentals were. I would not hesitate to recommend anybody to this gorgeous rental!

Horrible service 1st day we checked in to this house It smelled like mildew 1 of my daughter in laws got sick with allergies, luckily we had allergy medications on us. (2nd problem)The TV in the main living room Wasn't working at all that day and you couldn't call because it was considered a non emergency situation. (3rd problem)The other tvs in the guest rooms didn't work at all!! The master room was the only one that worked! Some of us came to fish while grandma and grandpa came to just get away, so they stayed home having to watch TV in our room. I emailed Sand Keys about the TV and someone came out to check it sat may 21st and was supposed to return around 2 PM that day they never came back, nor did they even call to see how things were! Later that night on Saturday the group that went fishing came in for the day. We came inside and gathered some food to bbq the meat out on the pit and noticed my son's license plate was missing from his truck. The night before when we checked in he had backed his truck up into the driveway so his front of the truck was facing out towards the street. (4th problem) I reached out because that to me was a necessary call to make to Sand keys, the answering service answered and I left a message with the operator that we needed someone to call us back and tell us how to handle the situation on getting an officer to make a report and not having to call 911 Just to make a report for his license plate. We had to drive home to San Antonio Sunday morning and that would be risking us getting a ticket No one ever reached back out to us at all! I rented condos with other realtors at Port A And I've never been so disappointed sit the service as i have with this company. (5th problem)we sat waiting for TV to come on after 2 hours it finally worked again as we turn the lights off in the living room and kitchen,(6th problem) saw flying bugs on the tv screen i got up and knocked them off with a rag and killed them on the floor they went to go sit back on the sofa and one of my daughter-in-law's said look there's more I killed 3 more. These bugs kept coming from behind the tv! They were all over the fireplace, screen to TV, around us on the sofa. It was annoying. Lastly as some of us needed to shower they had to share the stand up shower in living room area and the under the shower door there wasn't appropriate cover for the water not to spray out or run down from door into the draining area so it was leaking out onto the floor!!
Stress relief The purpose: Away from day to day and a nature healing. It served the purpose well. PS Gate lock to foot bridge needs repair. Roaches in bathrooms and kitchen. We sprayed them with alcohol. (Nature happens)

Good Vacation place The house was big enough for my family. With the rooms I would recommend new beds they make to much noise when you move around and you can actually feel the wires inside the bed , TV in 2 of the rooms did not work but I wasn't to worry about it since we were outside having fun not inside watching TV. Maybe put more trash bags around the house we literally only have 2 small bags for the kitchen, when you have a big family you have a lot of trash, lucky we had our own. Other than that management was awesome, reply to my questions fast. The check in - check out process was easy. So definitely we will rent the house again for future trips.
Sand Key Realty should lose their license I have never give a bad review before. I can prove that (all 5 stars on Google). The house was beautiful but the beds were uncomfortable. Our dryer and cable were both broken upon arrival. They promptly worked on fixing the dryer but the owner wanted to replace it. We understand that these things happen but how it was handled was horrific. They finally replaced the dryer on the last day. They never cared to fix the cable and lied that we said it was ok. It was March Madness and we had 5 small children. We called 3x about it and told the maintenance man when he came to look at the dryer, came back to measure for a new one, and replaced it. We never said the cable being out was ok. 3 days after our stay we had to reach out to them because they never reached out to us to make up for our inconveniences. Using dirty wet towels at a dirty beach was no fun. The kids didn't even want to go back on the last day because of it. When I reached out Audrey, who I later found out was the owner of the management company, she got super defensive and only focused on my complaints about the dirty house and poor amenities (we found previous renters' dirty laundry in 2 places, and the floors made our socks black upon arrival) and never addressed the more important issues. She continued to give me the run around with defenses back and forth for days, even though I asked to speak to someone else 2x, until I got so upset I asked if I needed to call my lawyer. Well apparently that means she can no longer talk to me so there was never a resolution. 8 emails later she made it all my fault with lies and defenses. I have stayed in many rental properties, hotels etc. Normal hospitality would have provided us with at least sympathy and a compensation of some sort or try to get us another house/room if the broken things were not fixable. Instead I was insulted many times and it caused me additional days of stress. I would never stay in one of their houses again.
