This was the greatest bnb we have ever stayed at. There was this winding road leading down to the house and what a sight to see when you get to the driveway. It is completely private and you’re surrounded by trees. I enjoyed peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee and a book from the many options around the house. We spent a lot of time with my toddler in the tv room/sunroom. The house is spacious but cozy with plenty of seating. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen as it was fully stocked. We didn’t end up using the basement bedroom, we felt we would be too far away from our 3 year old but the main bedroom had a king size bed and we all fit comfortably. The basement is perfect for older kids, there were lots of books, puzzles and a tv. Lots of seating too. The best part is it opens into the backyard so there was a lot of natural light, it didn’t give off creepy basement vibes. And the outdoor space was just magical. We used the grill and enjoyed a nice dinner on the deck. Thank you!!

We had an amazing stay at the house! It was spacious and cozy at the same time and had everything we needed for our stay. The children really appreciated having all the puzzles and board games that kept them busy during the day and in the evening while we were relaxing by the fireplace. The host was very helpful and responsive. The check in and check out process were smooth. Will definitely be back again!

This is exactly what my family needed. An Aha time away from all the busyness that surrounded us. The view was beautiful overlooking the frozen lake and trees. The house was clean and comfortable. It was roomy yet small enough to keep close with our loved ones. We got lucky to enjoy the snow. Before leaving the snow melted and nature gave us a new view :). It was a lovely stay. The only down side was we had to keep the standup fan while using the oven :(…very sensitive alarm. Overall 5/5. It was was a wonderful stay and my family enjoyed it very much.

The house is beautiful and in a beautiful setting. The big windows fill the space with light and look onto a superb lake. The house is very spacious, modern and convenient, with great design touches. The hosts were very responsive and very helpful. Arrowood Farms and Inness are two great spots in the immediate area (Arrowood is great for kids to run around and play while the adults enjoy a locally-brewed beer, outdoors). We'd all go back and stay a few more days in this fantastic spot in a heartbeat if we could.

Our plan was to spend the weekend hiking, but April showers derailed that idea. Considering our group size which included an infant and dog I had concerns about spending the weekend inside, but once we arrived that concern melted away. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pond provided a beautiful view and we loved that the TV (1 of 2 great TV spaces) was in another window filled room. Everything felt incredibly new and clean. I do appreciate that wood floors look nice and are easier to clean but there's no way for sound to be absorbed. My only note for people to consider is that if you have a group who talks above a whisper and are on different sleep schedules, it may feel noisy. But overall one of my favorite airbnbs!

Our stay was during an unusually warm week in April - highs over 90. The primary bedroom and main floor area were air conditioned and comfortable. The sunroom and main floor bedroom are not air conditioned. The basement level stayed cool. Note it’s at ground level in the country and there will be bugs/spiders. The house is as pictured, except closer to the road than expected. The lake view is beautiful from the deck or the main living area. Great for morning coffee. Extremely sunny in the afternoon until the sun sets. The lake is not accessible from this property, but offers lots of wildlife to view and hear. The stars at night were amazing. The house was overall comfortable for my family of 4. Keep in mind it is a country house beside a lake - there will be bugs inside and out, especially in spring and summer. Bring tick spray if you plan to use the yard or walk the small patch to the lake. Red Cottage communicated and addressed issues well. A good location to explore Ulster County.

Excellent spot for a relaxing weekend out of NYC. House was super clean and up to date. Especially enjoyed the proximity to numerous hiking trails and Arrowood Farms brewery.

Great wide-open spaces and fantastic views. We made a fire is the wood-burning stove and chilled out for the night. Another night we streamed a movie. Close to hiking and lots of great restaurants.

The view of the lake is gorgeous. There’s lots to do in the area - we spent a week and the time flew by. The house is very comfortable (loved the little fireplace) and clean. I expected the property to be more accessible (most of it is wooded), and the agency wasn’t able to clarify if certain items were already in the house before we arrived, but overall we had a great experience and would come back again.

Kripplebush Hollow, Stone Ridge: This home was truly a gem, offering everything from spacious comfort to full-fledged amenities. Whether you’re a cooking aficionado or a laid-back couch-lounger, it has something for everyone. The Florida room was a wonderful bonus to wind down the day, and the pond view, whether enjoyed from the deck or visible throughout much of the interior, made the vacation even more exciting and enjoyable. The house combines cozy charm with modern conveniences, and is stocked with books, games, and puzzles to delight every type of visitor, whether you’re fun-loving, seeking relaxation, a history buff, or a novel enthusiast. It’s clear the owners have put their heart and soul into this property. This is without a doubt one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. I can’t wait to return in the winter and take in the beauty of the snow-covered pond!

Great location in the secluded countryside! Beautiful house! One bedroom on each level. The twin beds are in the basement, the queen bed on the main floor, and the master suite up on the loft. It was a great layout for our group of 6! The location is far enough away that it is extremely peaceful at night, and the views of the lake were beautiful! I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay. The pictures do not do it justice. Even more beautiful in person tbh. The host was fast with responses whenever we had a question about something. They even provided me with the name of the comforter they use in the residence because my partner loved it so much lol. Would definitely stay here again.

This home is absolutely beautiful, and the view it provides of the pond is second to none. It has everything that was described in the listing and more. The home also had more than enough room for the handicapped individual that was in our party to freely and comfortably move around. The host was also extremely accommodating as well as tremendously attentive and responsive to any issues or discrepancies that we had during our stay. Will definitely be booking this home again in the near future!

We didn't start well as the wifi was not working and no cell service made it stressful to communicate with them and other arriving guests. However once past that initial distaste, the place was truly wonderful for our stay. Gorgeous setting, all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was exactly what we needed.

The place is HUUUUUUGE! It’s very well furnished and decorated, and just very cozy! The house is mostly very clean and neat, but there are some blind spots (saw a few spider nests here and there). Other than that everything was wonderful, one of the best place I’ve been to. Also really loved the lake view!

Bedroom downstairs needs curtains. Feels like living in a fishbowl Beds do not have sleeping pillows, only big decorative pillows!! C’mon. Bathtub in up stairs master bath was filthy dirty.

Well kept space in a secluded part of the town, which was great for privacy.

This was pure amateur Ville. Smart Lock didn't work, No Internet, No cell service. This was a total nightmare. Red Cottage was hard to get a hold of. And when we did connect. The service person couldn't contact anyone to help and fix the issue. I waited 3 hours in 90+ degree weather. Terrible experience. Wouldn't go near them.

This was such an amazing Airbnb, the house was extremely extremely clean, and we felt so at home once we got there. The open layout of the house makes it very warm and welcoming. I can be pretty judgemental when it comes to looking for clean and tidy Airbnb‘s and this was definitely one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed at. Everything was spotless, and there were so many different rooms that we spent time in and it somehow made the house feel even bigger. The basement is massive and the view of the lake that you wake up to in the morning is magical. The hosts were so responsive and helpful to us during our stay. We couldn’t recommend this place more, and we would love to say again!

Our stay here was wonderful! The home was clean and cozy and had incredible lake views. The kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials. Between all of the books, games, and puzzles and the two TV viewing areas, we hardly minded having to stay indoors on a rainy weekend. We would absolutely stay here again! (One minor note for anyone with little ones: our stay was shortly before the beginning of rifle season, and we were a bit startled the first morning to hear gunshots. (The sound carries quite well over the lake.) The hosts assured us that hunting is strictly prohibited within 500 ft of residential areas by law.)

Beautiful home! Looks just like the photos, even better. The large windows are stunning and the afternoon sun was perfect for unwinding, reading a book etc. Very roomy and open. Kitchen was great and equipped with all you’ll need.

Weekend in the Catskills A great place to stay in the Catskills. Home is clean and open with great views of Lyonsville Pond from throughout the house. It is close the restaurants, farmers markets and hiking/biking trails.

Not what we expected I was excited for my stay at this house due to the description, but upon arrival, there were many disappointments. 1. The lake is, for lack of a better word, disgusting. It is completely overridden with algae and is just not pleasant to look at. 2. The description says 3 acres of land however, only about 1/2 an acre is actually available. The rest is covered in thick, overgrown greenery which has ticks. The grounds are uneven and on a slope so we couldn’t set up the volleyball net we brought nor could we really do anything outside. 3. The water quality in the house was unacceptable. It had a pungent smell that made it impossible to do everyday things like brush our teeth, wash our face, make ice, and even shower. I would not have booked this house knowing any of these details especially at this price although the house itself is nice on the inside. We followed the check out rules which were that we had to do all our dishes, take out the trash and generally clean the house. Overall very disappointed in the property.

We had a lovely stay. The home is exactly how it’s described. It’s beautiful, big, cozy, and has a gorgeous view of the lake. We had a wonderful time and would stay again!!
