The location is within driving distance to the beach, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and quite a few souvenir shops close by. The neighborhood was quiet and we had no issues during the stay. The bunk bed will have kids raving for who gets to sleep in the top bunk!
Place was great but kitchen area was a bit hot due to the ac unit not being as cool as it should be the other side was able to get colder though other than that it was a good stay and great location to stay beach and bars are close by

Great location perfect for a short getaway
The house was small but great for what needed it for. The owners were quick to respond with any questions. The village w Positive: The easy access to everything in town Negative: No outlet plugs in the bathrooms, would have liked a water connection outside to rinse off the sand before loading things into the car.
Great getaway with my boyfriend! The stay was super walkable with the proximity to town- eat, drink, shop, explore. We chose to drive to the beach since it would be a little further of a walk. The owners were easy to work with when we reached out with issues we experienced. The place could use some updates to make it worth the price, but overall we had a great experience and can’t wait to come back to Port A!
The location was great. The unit is very small and the shower is VEEEEERY small. The shower needs a wall mount shower head and NOT the rain can. Also the window unit is the kitchen does not work. All it does, it draws air from outside and NOT cool at all. Roads are narrow specially if you drive a truck and other park in the street.

Positive: We liked the fenced in yard. Negative: When we arrived the place was dirty, dead roaches on the floor , hair in drain of bathroom sink, used hair tie on the bed, a/c did not keep the place cool and kept blowing back stuff all over the bed, used plastic fork on kitchen bar area.
This was honestly the perfect spot, it was close enough to beach and town, but located where you couldn’t hear everything. It wasn’t anything super fancy, but was exactly what need for a weekend getaway. I do recommend you bring a sleeping mask if you like a room dark dark. The ac unit has a bright light that shines right over the bed, we couldn’t stop laughing at it… but you know some might not find it funny. Overall a great stay
Great Spot for a family vacation
The rental was nice and clean. Way smaller than expected! The shower was so small that we had to get in rise, get out and scrub, then get back in to rinse. We kept hitting our head in the shower and I’m 5’3. The bed you could hear the springs when you rolled over and could feel them all night. Honestly the mattress felt like it was purchased at goodwill. The tv barely worked, and the ac absolutely sucked. We sweated more than anything. We actually left in the middle of the night cause it was so hot and wouldn’t cool down
My husband and I recently spent a weekend here. The cute little cottage was perfect for the two of us. The check-in process was nice easy and smooth everything was done online which made everything simple. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking somewhere quiet to stay as a couple centrally located on the island.

The cabin was rather small but clean and comfortable! The issue we had was not being able to connect the TV to Spectrum WIFI with the Password they gave us! We messaged and called the host and they said that they would follow this up with their team and update us when they heard from them! No one ever messaged us back or came out to resolve the problem! So disappointing not to have any TV for three nights!!
We were looking for a small place in a great location for our fishing trip, and this Airbnb was perfect! Most of our time was spent out and about, but it was so nice to come back to a cool, comfortable spot to relax and recharge. We also brought our Great Dane, and having a yard for her to roam in was such a bonus. The space was just what we needed , clean, convenient, and pet-friendly. We’d definitely stay again!
Kona Cottage was exactly what we needed for our long weekend in Port A. We spent most of our time out at the beach, but the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast before heading out, and the beds were clean and comfy at the end of the night. We really appreciated how accommodating and responsive our hosts were. Thanks again!
Location is good. Walking distance from many restaurants, shops and even grocery store. Very tight property. Property had no outside water hookup for a hose, making it quite difficult to follow house rules of cleaning of dirt/sand before entering. The bathroom is tiny, anyone under 6ft with a very petite frame would fit comfortably. We struggled as midsized people. NO LAUNDRY, not even in the “community area”. Zero internet or tv access, even tried brining our our Roku. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS FROM HOME TO SHOWER. Also recommend brining a rug/ mat for floors. Ideal for a couple with dogs or small YOUNG family ( children under 7). It’s also very exposed with not privacy areas to relax no shade. Good place to sleep, eat, change clothes, or read a book.

Our stay at Kona cottage was great. It had all the amenities we needed for our short stay. It was pet friendly so we were able to bring our 2 dogs with us to enjoy the beach.

nice cozy place
Had a wonderful time staying here. We were only really there for dinner time but had everything I needed to cook. I will say only thing we had issues with was the shower, the shower head leaks and made it very hard not get the floor wet in the bathroom, as well as the shower being very small. Other than the shower 10 out of 10 I would definitely stay again.
The start of spring break We really enjoyed our three nights stay. It was the perfect size and very clean my kids love that it was within walking distance to ice cream and we will definitely come back and stay again.

Starting with the positives: great location, plenty of bed space for the kiddos. Negatives: we checked in late and went straight to bed. About 3 hours in to our sleep my kids woke up me because all of us and our beds were COVERED in some type of flying bugs. It was like a biblical plague was in the house. When I contacted the host, hoping we could either move to a different property or a refund so we could get a hotel, their advice was “open the door and turn on a light and they should fly out”. We did not sleep either night. My little girls were terrified the entire time. The shower was also broken and leaks all over the place. There’s a fun $50 fee after booking and part of your contract says “video and photograph the entire place otherwise you’re responsible for anything we think you may have damaged”.
Great place to stay right in the middle of Port A. Close to the beach and shops/restaurants. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Wasn’t a bad stay, the house needs a little love. Some damage to it, I took photos and sent them in to be sure I would not be charged. It seemed like it had been straightened up, but not really cleaned. Felt dirty.. I hate saying that considering the host did amazing. Dishes were dirty, not dirty in the sink but dirty with food on them put away. Beds were made, trash was empty but did not feel like it had a deep clean. The area was nice, neighbors staying by were nice. Quiet area. I think with a little love and elbow grease, it would be a good stay. I didn’t have a bad stay, just didn’t feel clean.
There was good communication and our needs were met. The airbnb comfortable and perfectly close to the beach!
The place was nice, but liked described it was very small. Beds could more comfy. There were only the four towels as described, so bring extra!
It was a cool little place to stay. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. It’s good for a couple but not much more as it’s fairly small. I’d stay again. I gave it 4 stars because of the additional $50 they charge outside of the Airbnb platform. It was in the description(which I saw after booking), however, I felt all payments should be done through Airbnb. Also, we stayed for 4 nights so I would suggest bringing additional towels as there were only a few. With no washer/dryer we were using old towels towards the end. The communication was really good so I did like that. If you’re flying in, make sure your flight aligns with the time of check in because if you get there early you’ll have to hold your bags until the afternoon check in. Overall, good for a little getaway.

for how small the space is, they have it arranged well. there were 3 of us and we had enough room to keep our stuff organized and the little fenced in yard was perfect for the dog.

This was a small but well laid out little bungalow about a 15 minute walk to the beach! The dog friendly property was decently fenced and the yard well maintained. The neighborhood felt very safe and everything you need is within walking distance. The kitchen was well appointed with pots, pans and utensils. I’d recommend it for sure.
The rental was in a great location. The place was a good size for two people. My problem with the rental was the charge of the large cleaning fee. You have to wash the dishes ( which were dirty upon check-in) take the trash out, sweep the floors . We spilled water on the floor as I mopped up the water the mop was brown from the floor not being cleaned well before us arriving. Correspondence was good explaining what was expected of you to do and how to clean. When I expressed the disappointment of the cleaning fee as I had to clean when we arrived ( I included pictures ) The place was offered on one website 50% less than we were charged my fault for not checking a few other sites. I was told management would call I never heard from them.
We really enjoyed this place. Close the everything and peaceful at night. We look forward to staying there in the future.
