Fabulous spot with excellent airport access for our last night, in an authentic maui neighborhood

beautiful historical building. The renovations were perfect. Decor was spot on. overall just a beautiful place Stay.

The property itself is excellent. It's beautifully renovated, exceptionally clean, and it's clear the owners put real thought into both preserving the historic building and creating a comfortable guest experience. We stayed in the Kahili Suite, which looked exactly like the photos and had plenty of space for two. There are no staff on site, but check-in was seamless with clear instructions sent in advance. Unfortunately, early check in or late check out is $50 and, because of no staff, there is no place to hold luggage if you don't have a car. The location is the main negative. You'll need a car, as it isn't walkable beyond one nearby restaurant (most others were closed), and the surrounding downtown area didn't feel comfortable after dark. I genuinely hope the neighborhood recovers, because it's obvious this property is part of an effort to revitalize the area. We enjoyed our stay, but if paying full price, I would probably choose a different part of the island.

This is a beautifully renovated historic property. The common spaces feel like home and the outside space is an oasis very close to the center of town. The new innkeepers were very friendly and helpful when we had any questions.

It's hard to find accommodations with any real Maui charm these days, but this is one! A luxurious experience with the feel of old Hawaii. I would choose this over the resorts any day.

It was a great place to stay at for our 2 nights on Maui. It wasn’t too far from the airport. The room we got looked exactly like the photos and was clean and well supplied with towels, hangers, and had some shower essentials. The host also prepared some snacks and drinks for us in our room which we appreciated. We had some questions about parking since we got in late at night and the host was very responsive and helped us out quickly. They also had a room with snacks, water, coffee, tea, and even sunscreen - in case you forget to bring some. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Absolutely amazing beautiful place. It somehow had the perfect blend of character and modern amenities that made you feel incredibly comfortable and that you were staying in a place with history. The bedroom was immaculate, the bathroom was super clean and comfortable and everyone we encountered (including the guests) were all amazing. You truly felt like they were trying to take care of you. We felt refreshed staying there. And the complimentary breakfast was great! We'd come back here in a heartbeat instead of going to a big chain hotel.

I had a little staycation with my boyfriend and I have to say this is a gem on Maui. I loved my room and the bathroom was so nice. The breakfast was meh but I didn’t stay for the breakfast. The bed was so comfortable and it screamed luxury. I live on Maui and I will be back

Great historical inn with newly renovated rooms.

Beautiful room in a beautiful historic home! We only stayed one evening on our last night in Maui for an early flight home, but wished we had stayed longer. We can’t stop talking about how comfortable the bed was…one of the best beds we’ve ever slept in!

My wife and I loved our stay here! After searching several places near the airport, this was by far the best option. The room and private bathroom were very spacious, and the mattress was so comfortable that we almost didn’t want to leave for our Road to Hana trip. The service was excellent, attentive, and willing to accommodate our needs. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. You won’t regret it!

Really loved this place. I was excited anyway because it looks wonderful; but it exceeded expectations and was a truly historic meets luxury location as advertised. Hosts were communicative and enquired whether we wanted breakfast or not, also offering a breakfast box takeaway option incase we wanted. I’d love to return!

We needed a last minute place to stay on Maui after some last minute trip changes. We booked the room last minute and they were able to get us in immediately. The property is beautiful, has a lot charm, and is well maintained. The room was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. Was exactly what we needed.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Historic Wailuku Inn and wish I stayed longer! I chose the Kahili suite and it was exactly as pictured, very spacious, nicely decorated, big bathroom with a great shower, very comfortable bed/ sheets/ towels, and extremely clean. I actually booked at night (around 8pm) for a same day arrival and was surprised at how fast they responded outside of their operating hours with detailed instructions for a seamless self check-in. I received my code immediately, parked in their on site parking lot, and enjoyed the beautiful lush gardens surrounded the property, and had a great sleep. I didn’t wake up in time for breakfast but appreciated that they left out a basket with a few snacks which was perfect for me. I visit Maui every year and will absolutely return to this beautiful property!

I can’t rave enough about Wendy and her incredible team! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine kindness that set the tone for our entire stay. The space itself was absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere that made our vacation truly special. Every morning, we indulged in a delicious breakfast that was not only satisfying but beautifully presented. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the cleanliness of the facilities to the warm and accommodating staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. This trip was, without a doubt, my husband and my favorite vacation to date! We’re already planning our next getaway to Maui and can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise. The Kahili Suite was one of the most beautiful rooms I've stayed in, from the interior decor and connected bathroom to the view outside the windows. Very comfortable bed and huge updated bathroom, and the room includes a coffee station and mini fridge. The house is immaculate and surprisingly quiet. They served fresh juice, fruit, and an egg scramble w toast in the morning and it was very good. The surrounding grounds feel like a botanical garden and there is a large front porch we enjoyed spending time on in the evening. The surrounding area isnt super walkable but the location is perfectly central to easily explore all areas of Maui on day trips. Loved it!

10/10! WOW! This place was incredibly clean and everything exceeded our expectations. What a steal for the price!The homemade breakfast was absolutely incredible! We got: fresh fruit, banana pancakes and delicious spinach eggs with coffee/juice. We would love to stay again and are telling all our friends about this best kept secret!

Looking forward to my next visit I had a great visit at the Historic Wailuku Inn. The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious, just as pictured, bright and very comfortable. The Inn is meticulously maintained, both inside and out. I spent many nights on the front porch, working or catching up on e-mail, and got to know several of the other guests. The staff are super friendly and are very quick to respond to any inquiry that I had. I am looking forward to my next visit to Maui and my stay at the Historic Wailuku Inn.

Beautiful Historic Inn What a beautiful treasure of a property. My wife and I had an unexpected night in Wailuku and I'm so glad we found this inn. There were very few other people during our stay and we felt as though we had the property to ourselves. Pretty gardens, lovely spacious rooms. Great work on the renovation!
