Great location for the beach
Plenty of space for parking. Nice & friendly neighborhood. Walk to the beach was easy. The house is cutely decorated, clean & spacious. We had 5 adults & 3 children & never felt crowded. The dining table was large enough to sit everyone. The covered back patio catches a breeze & also has 2 large ceiling fans, so sitting outside was quite pleasant, even on a hot July day. We used the charcoal grill 3 nights in a row. Very nice place to stay.

This was the perfect home for our weekend getaway with friends. The home is in a great area and close to a bridge to access the beach. The home was clean, had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Great place to enjoy the beach and spend time with family and friends.
Great spot for our family vacation including several kiddos. The kids loved the house, especially the bunk beds. House is a short 30 second walk from the pool and a quick drive from the beach.
This was a great family trip and a great place to stay! The host was very prompt in their communication throughout our stay. The location was perfect to entertain the whole family, minutes from the beach and all the attractions. We will be back again and hope to stay here again. This home was perfect to bring together families with plenty of bathrooms and gathering spots outside and inside. What made it best for us is the accessibility and having bedrooms downstairs for grandparents.
Had a great experience here! Plenty of space, easy beach access, and really no community noise. Really appreciated the baby/toddler amenities provided (pack n play and high chair) - I thought that was a nice touch! Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is amazing and very close to the beach. We had an 80 year old and a 2 year old and the place catered to both. It does need a golf cart to move around and that adds to the unique experience. The hosts were very responsive and even gave us a later checkout so we didn't have to rush the elderly folks in our group. Thank you very much and looking forward to coming back!

This house is as it is shown in the photos, very comfortable and clean. It is s in a quiet and nice closed community with access to the beach within walking distance. We had a really good time there, kitchen was well equipped and the host answered all our messages quickly
Beautiful place and location. We rented a golf cart and had tons of fun driving all around town and the beach. We saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Love the boardwalk access. House was very clean and had everything we needed for a great week in Port A. We had an important question at the end of our trip and I sent a message in the middle of the night expecting a response in the morning but I received an answer right away.
I loved this place it was a last minute trip we decided to take that same day for a night .The owners made sure it was clean and ready within Hours they responded quickly were very kind and professional:) The home is beautiful big and spacious for the amount of people that were staying there was lots of places to go and really good food nearby . Overall a really good experience loved it :)

1st impression upon arrival was noticing the frontyard had not been cut in "a while", nor the backyard.Inside the property was nicely decorated.There was plenty of dishes in kitchen, but no instructions for using the M/W or oven.The pillows & mattresses varied in terms of being too firm or too soft.There was a total of 6 adults & 4 children which the property accommodated fine (bed-wise), but there was only 6 bath towels & no wash cloths avaliable. The cleaning committee delivered another 6 bath towels 24hrs after arrival.The washer/dryer/fridge worked well.The tvs were not easily usuable, as we had to log into our home services(apps), ... there were 2 tv remotes in the master bedroom (never got it to work), ...4 remotes in the den/living area, ...etc!The back yard was overgrown but didn’t have "goat-head" stickers as the front yard had, thus 'ouch' on bare feet.There was an outdoor shower on the side of the house that we didn't know existed until the 3rd day there. All in all?Accommodations were ok.The outside grill was charcoal vs propane, thus a bag of charcoal was provided but no lighter fluid.After using it to grill hotdogs & burgers I had to scrub it, ie, leaving it better than the way I found it, else being charged extra upon checkout.We might be back since we now know all the quirks.It would be nice to know the floor layout as well as the neighborhood layout, ie, where the pools are located, ...where the boardwalk to the beach is located, etc!
The house is nice and close to the beach. Spacious for us three families who visited. Our experience with the hosts was not great. The home did not have salt coffee and oil as mentioned on the listing. When we reached out to the hosts it was just some management company customer service who said the listing details are incorrect. So we had to do a grocery run to figure out out our breakfast. This may not sound like a big deal but the whole point of spending more money on an Airbnb is to get the homely experience but some properties like this one just operate like a hotel. In such situations it’s better to go to a hotel, for that reason it wasn’t a 5 star experience for me
Had a great time staying here with most of my family. The home is very nice and well taken care of. I'd stay there again if my family decides to tolerate each other again next year.
Overall, a really great experience. We had an early hiccup getting into the Airbnb. The host was suppose to send us the lock code at 4 but when we arrived we realized it was never sent. They sent it fairly quickly once we reached out. The tv in the master bedroom wouldn’t connect to the cable so we ended up not using it. I didn’t love the extra agreement that you have to sign prior to staying. An extra 55 dollars is required. The house itself is clean and comfortable. The location is great and the pool was very nice. We would recommend and stay again.
The house was spacious and offered a good balance of enjoyable family space and privacy for my big family. The back yard is comfortable and peaceful, which made for nice early morning reading. The beach is within walking distance from the house, but a little too far to carry all your beach supplies. You really need a golf cart for beach access when staying here.
The house location was perfect! Very cute little neighborhood. Near to town but a bit away from the more rowdy beach sections. Perfect access to the beach for walkers or golf carts using the boardwalk in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, we felt the host was lacking for the price of the house. Host had very specific instructions about how and when door code would be provided but that did not happen as outlined. We spoke with the after hours support person who was able to give us access to the house and requested late checkout for our Sunday departure (on a weekend stay). The after hours support confirmed late checkout but then on Saturday we received an Airbnb communication stating our checkout time was 1 hour earlier. We then followed up and they confirmed late checkout again. For a weekend rental, we paid a premium for this house and we had to spend precious time trying to access the house and confirm late checkout twice.

Perfect home for a vacation with kids and the grandparents. There’s two rooms on the main floor perfect for grandparents, and two rooms upstairs perfect for us (parents) and kids. The kitchen is well stocked. The laundry room is very comfortable as well. The outdoor shower was a great way to wash the sand off the kids before heading inside. Loved walking to the beach from the house! Also there’s an awesome pool for little kids that we really enjoyed!
This is a beautiful property and I personally loved the beach themed decor throughout the house, lots of great details! We had two families stay here and there was plenty of space and the kids loved the bunk beds and shared room. Very cozy feel, very clean and it all feels very new. The only downside I can say was that this property was further away from the main downtown and beach entrances than we hoped. The property had hotel size soaps and such, however providing cooking oil, salt/pepper, coffee pods, would be so nice. We had to buy many items in order to eat in. I would stay again.

The house was just as described and pictured. Plenty of parking. Enough room for our group. We really enjoyed the back porch area where we hung out every evening after a long day at the beach. Will try to reserve this house next year for our family trip.

It was exactly as described! The things that stood out to us….plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen with dishes, etc. Be sure you bring your spices! Comfortable beds and great location! We’ve stayed in Port Aransas before, and this location was away from the busy streets! We had one glitch, and that was not receiving our code when we were told we would. I called the office and they called right back and gave us the code.
You will need a golf cart in order to get to the beach. It's not walkable, but there's a pool nearby, which was fun for the kids.
We loved staying here! We walked to the beach with our kiddos across the boardwalk. The neighborhood is really nice with a pool a couple of houses down. We appreciated the beach wagon and extra boogie boards. Waves Coffee shop in Port A is amazing. I love Seafood and Spaghetti works. Also Tortuga has delicious food.

Kitchen was well stocked! Only recommendation is to provide more bath towels and kitchen towels. Pools and hot tub were clean and great amenities.
Pros: Great location , just close enough to Port A, but not too close. Easy beach access by a well built and maintained boardwalk . Beach was clean and well groomed Plenty of room inside home for family of 6 . cons: Wear and tear on home from coastal elements Home could be better maintained Basic essentials ,(toilet paper, paper towels ,bath towels, coffee ) , were very limited or not supplied at all.

Great house and location! We really enjoyed staying here. We come to Port A every year and this house set the bar high. We are likely to return if we have the same size group. Home is clean and comfortable. It was great having most of the living space on ground level for those in our party who don’t handle stairs well.
We are very happy with the place, clean, and updated. we felt like being at home. Subdivision was filled with friends people. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit
Very nice place would stay again
Once we were told about the mandatory evacuation, I was told I would be called and updated on when we could come. I waited and finally called myself, every time I called I was told someone would call, but I did not. I had to call for information. The Evacuation was lifted Monday and I had to call them to find that out. At that time I wasn’t sure we could make it Monday and told them it would probably be Tuesday. We all decided that we would just go late Monday. When I called to check if the code we had been given Saturday was still good, I was told it was. When I said we were going to come Monday night then. I was told we couldn’t as it needed to be cleaned I said it was ready Saturday, it shouldn’t need anything. I was told it had been occupied, and wouldn’t be ready until 4pm Tuesday. I have asked for a refund for those 3 days. I was told someone would call and let me know. Again no one called and on my second phone call to them was told I would get a refund. The home was great

Beautiful home, great location, clean, nicely stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms, welcoming beachy decor, room to spare. Great outdoor shower for after the beach and the walkway with golf cart access to the beach is very close. Make sure you verify community pool access if that is listed, as it wasn't available. This was overall a great trip, in a beautiful home away from home, for a fun, relaxing, and memorable family beach vacation. We took our daughters and 4 grandchildren, and would return!

The Island Gem is just that, a true gem! Spacious living, dining and kitchen! Each bedroom and bathroom was very well decorated and stocked with all your basic needs. Back patio was great for dining or lounging, and the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The community pool was well taken care of, and the Royal Sands community was nice and quiet. The boardwalk to the beach is also plus. Give this property a try for your next stay!
Great location and comfortable place to stay for a large family of 8. Everything was as described.
This place was just as described. We loved how close it was to the beach and how quite it was in the neighborhood. The pools were less than three minutes walking distance and the outside shower was so convenient, especially after coming from the beach. Having three bathrooms made it easy for getting ready in the morning. The kitchen/dining area was probably our favorite. It had everything we needed and was so spacious. We did everything from baking a cake to cutting up fresh fruit daily. The back patio had plenty of sitting room and the two large fans helped keep it cool on such a hot day. As you can tell, we did a lot here and enjoyed our stay.
Family was in town for graduation- had an amazing time. House had everything we needed and then some! I especially loved that they had both a K-cup coffee maker and a drip coffee maker- so convenient! Kids left something in the backyard we had to go back for. They were great and helpful with access. Definitely will be back!

Our stay with Sand Key Vacation Rentals was great. We really enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful beach house. The walking distance to the beach was perfect and the pool was nice and very convenient. The beach house was very homey and relaxing, everything we needed was provided in it. I wish our stay could’ve been longer but we will definitely be back.

As a picky mom, I approve of this house. It was clean and the neighbors were very friendly. My children loved the bedroom space and it was walking distance to the pool. We’ll definitely be renting here again.

Great House We all had such a great time staying here. The house was clean and in a great location. Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable and not be bumping into one another. The walk in shower in the master was great, the only thing I would say was a downfall was the bed in the master bedroom was extremely uncomfortable. Everything else was absolutely amazing tho! The check-in/check-out process was very easy as well. We would definitely recommend this home and will be staying again.

Family weekend This was a great house large enough for our family. Having read other reviews, we did rent a golf cart to make it easier to bring a 2 year old to the beach. Loved the open concept and the backyard to hang out in the late afternoon. We used the neighborhood pool a couple of times and it was just down a couple of houses. We would stay here again.
Beautiful Home! The house is very pretty and clean. We would definitely stay here again! Just some notes for those planning to come stay: pack extra paper towels for sure and a few tall kitchen trash bags. There was plenty of dish soap and dishwasher pods were provided as well. There was a new sponge and several dish towels. There was an ironing board but no iron. The queen beds are comfortable but creaked - the guest bedroom downstairs creaked loudly every time you moved, and the master bedroom bed creaked loudly getting out. We had kids ages 5-15 in the bunk beds and they said they were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. If you plan to do a lot of cooking, you should bring some good knives. There is one steak knife, and a couple of larger knives but that’s it. The stovetop is great, but the oven is so confusing! It’s a convection oven and there are instructions but not clear at all. The management company is fantastic! We had several questions the first day and they sent someone over immediately 2 different times - were there within 5 to 10 minutes! Highly recommend this house!
Girls weekend The house was decorated beautifully, very clean, close to beach, & Port Aransas amenities. The downside is there were gnats in the kitchen, the water pressure wasn’t very good, & hard time figuring out the stove & oven. But all in all a great place to stay. Would go again!
Beautiful home! Our family loved this home. It was close to the beach, offered plenty of space, & was in a quite neighborhood! You will need to bring some of your own supplies though as they only give you 1 of everything. Here are some things you will need.. trash bags, paper towels, laundry soap, & beach towels. The beds were not the comfiest & wish they had atleast 1 king bed in the house. Very clean home though!
Very nice place!. The process for renting the property was seamless. Check in and out were very easy! Very clean property overall. We were a little disappointed that the walk to the boardwalk was a bit longer than it was perceived in the listing. I would recommend a golf cart for aging adults. Thanks for the memories that we made!!

A great time at the Island Gem in Royal Sands in Port Aransas A very nice house but just a few small issues - one of the big frying pan drawers in the kitchen was not connected to the drawer glider on the right side - there should have been an additional paper towel along with tissues and trash bags - the picture on your website leads you to believe the pool is right behind the house, however the pool pictured is in the adjacent community
Great fit for 3 families The house was very clean and well stocked as advertised. Check in/church out very simple. The back yard is perfect for grilling and playing corn hole (both provided). The oven is weird and we didn't find the instructions until we were cleaning up the last day, but that's on us (look in the pantry). The house is very close to the pool and not a bad walk to the beach. However, I would highly recommend renting a golf cart for trekking all your things down to the beach - makes life a lot easier when kids are involved. Board walk is designed to allow golf carts. Overall it was a great stay. Look forward to going back.
Good location, easy beach access House was as pictured and in print. House was very clean. The decor was comfy, beachy. Not to cluttered! The kitchen had pretty much everything to cook a meal (blender was broken so no drinks). Small charcoal grill was adequate. The back porch was as pictured, little more worn but it is the beach! Furniture was ok. Bathrooms were nice. Only negative would be the upstairs beds. The queen bed was not comfortable at all and noise when you move! The bunk beds in kids room were also not comfortable. Metal pieces in middle made the beds hard to sleep on. We used blankets to pad them. Rest of house was nice and would book again.
Great Stay Fun time in Port A at this place. Went off of prior reviews and rented a buggy, brought extra toiletries, etc. Loved having coffee on the back patio in the mornings.
Perfect family beach spot The house was located in a great, clean, small neighborhood with easy access to the beach and the neighborhood pool. The house was perfect for large family / multiple families for several days. The downstairs was spacious, the kitchen was large and equipped and the kids bunk room was a perfect spot to let the kids hide out and chill! We will definitely book this beach house again!

Some suggestions We had a great time. I do feel that a few things could’ve been better. 1. The bigger bedroom upstairs still had sand in the bed. 2. Need to provide more than just two trash bags. 3. Either suggests to bring pods for keurig or have some available for guests. We had to go buy our own. Most of everything else was great.
Family Fun This is an ideal property for families. We were walking distance to the beach, close to the pool and only a few minutes drive to great food and stores. If possible bring as much of your groceries, condiments, shampoo, soap etc. it was a limited selection and pricey. However, the house was well stocked with dishes, appliances etc. overall it is a fabulous house!
Birthday/Anniversary Getaway Our rental was even more lovely and accommodating than what I expected. Easy access to the beach by golf cart/ beach buggy. Nice neighborhood and surroundings. Will for sure rent this property again! Planning the next trip already!!

Great for families! This was our first time at Royal Sands, we usually book at Cinnamon Shore. We traveled with several other families that booked nearby and our rental was perfect for our group! Beautiful home, great location and perfect home layout. Property has everything you need for a great beach vacation!
The best house ever! The renting process was easy, check in was easy, and the house lived up to every expectation we had. It is bright, clean, modern, and just plain wonderful! 2 of the bedrooms have tvs: the master and the kids bunk bed room. There is every cooking utensil you could ever need and plenty of pantry space. This house did not disappoint! We can’t wait to come back!!
Only complaint was the oven. Very easy, it was clean and loved the open floor plan.
Relaxing Weekend Getaway This property was immaculate and offered everything two families of 4 needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. The neighborhood is beautiful and a short walk from the beach, although a golf cart is recommended for easier trips for hauling gear. Highly recommended and would stay here again!
Sweetest Memories! We loved our stay at the Island Gem! The house was very clean, the kitchen well stocked with dishes, utensils and appliances. Some of the oven knob icons are rubbed off, but there is a printed copy of the manual in the drawer next to it. We loved the opened floor plan and there is plenty of room for lounging when recouping from a full day of sun! We ended up rented a golf cart for two days (definitely make reservations ahead of time) because even though it’s not too far of a walk, we had quite a bit to haul to the beach for the day. We can’t wait to come back!
Beautiful Home We enjoyed the enclosed backyard and close distance to the pool. I recommend renting a golf cart to haul stuff to the beach or getting a beach sticker for your vehicle. The property is beautiful and we love how the rooms gave each couple space. Also the kiddos loved the bunk beds.
Great place! What everyone is saying is true- it's awesome! Exactly as pictured & described. The floorplan is great, it was very clean, & kid friendly. Y'all, I'm a snob- it was GOOD. We found everything to be in working order & great shape. Super cute neighborhood & close to the beach :) Ed's Coastal Golf carts delivers to the hood! We will definitely be staying here again- HIGHLY recommend it!
Loved the house This house is so nice and spacious. It rained all weekend that we were there but the back patio was an excellent go to place for our family.
