Great house just a 5 min drive from downtown Hudson. So cozy and homey. Was great to bring the dogs as well, just noting that the back yard is not fully fenced in. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

This property was relaxing and beautiful, with walkable access to town (with many great restaurants) and walking paths across the street, which was perfect for our dog. Our host were very proactive with communications and responsive. The support team that visited during our stay were always friendly and on time. Since we travel a lot, we usually provide ratings on the things that are important to us: Comfy bed – very! With cozy linens, the bed was very comfortable. Internet – fast and reliable for 3+ people on concurrent video calls. A/C and Heat - quick cooling and heating (we were here for fall). Household amenities – had everything we needed and more! Office space – great desk in the kitchen area and the space in the extra bedroom worked well. Proximity to grocery and gym – very walkable to the gym, short distance to a full grocer. Dog friendly – YES, our pup loved it! Thank you for sharing this beautiful property in Hudson with us!
Amazing house! Great location. If you are looking for a completely fenced-in backyard for your dog, this is not the place. One of the reasons I booked the house was because I wanted a yard for my dog. The listing said fenced backyard. I should have messaged the host to ask if the yard was private and fenced in on all sides. That was my fault for not inquiring. I was fine taking my dog out in her leash, but it would have been nice to let her run around without having to worry about her running into the busy street. The place was nice and cool when we arrived. Lovely trip!!!
Gorgeous house, proximity to Hudson’s many shops, restaurants and cars is perfect.
Great find! Kitchen is fabulous. Big fridge with filtered water/ice. Nespresso machine! We didn’t cook, but definitely took stock of all the bake/cookware - easily enough to feed large groups. Living room is large & comfy. Bedrooms are nicely appointed with comfy beds/bedding (we all slept so hard!). Figuring out the heating units (each room) was a bit of a challenge, but we worked it out. We were surprised that the 2nd bathroom wasn’t an en-suite (I might have missed that detail in the listing) & that there wasn’t a toilet downstairs, but certainly not a deal-breaker for us. My friend was at first creeped out by the cemetery across the street, so that couple took the back bedroom. She was fine with it by the end of the trip. Overall, terrific stay & hope to return. We particularly enjoyed nearby Olana Historic Home & Grounds, as well as Kløcke Estate brandy distillery! Strongly recommend LePerche for brunch.
This house has cute decor and communicative hosts but I would not stay here again. It was too small for a family and gives Adams Family Vibes in its style and in that it’s across the street from a cemetery and next door to a creepy old house. It’s also a heavily trafficked street on both sides so the evening traffic is very loud.
Great stay for my husband and I and my parents and small pup for a weekend upstate. The house was exactly as listed and very comfortable for a party of 4!
We had a wonderful stay at the Red Cottage! My husband, parents, and I spend a beautiful fall weekend in the Hudson valley. Our stay at the Red Cottage was exactly what we needed. A central location, clean space, and amenities to meet all of our needs. We enjoyed listening to records while playing cards each night. We also loved enjoying our morning coffee in the spacious kitchen. We highly recommend the red cottage!
We had a lovely stay. The house is beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. Convenient to downtown — minutes by car. Close to museums and hiking opportunities. The home amenities are high end with very comfortable furniture and beds and an easy to use Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker. The bathrooms are spacious and sleek-modern in style. Loved the shower in the master! The vinyl record player and the wide selection of vintage 60 & 70s LPs were a surprise treat. Can’t beat Jimi Hendrix on a Saturday morning to get you revved up for a day of hiking.
Beautiful home just minutes from downtown Hudson! Great living space, comfortable beds, full of light - would stay there again!!
House was beautiful and very well kept. It was very clean and matched the pictures posted. Very comfortable beds, kitchen was immaculate and the backyard was a very nice space to hang out. Hosts were very pro-active in their communication and the check in/check out process was very easy.
Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Beautiful esthetics. Rooms were spacious and light-filled. Loved having two bathrooms and the one off the master was new and gorgeous. The shower was huge and a lively design. Bed was comfortable and the dark/blackout curtains were appreciated. Though we didn’t cook, we were impressed with well-appointed exceptionally large kitchen. We really liked that the home had so much light. This home in Hudson was close to many other attractions like Olana, Thos Cole estate, Klocke distillery, and of course the town of Hudson. October is a sublime time to visit.
Property was just as listed. A lot of messages from the host prior to arrival - seemed like an automated message service
The Victorian cottage is just as sweet as it looks in the pictures and maybe even more. My son and his sweetheart loved sitting outside in the back yard. I was a bit surprised by the traffic noise when outside, but inside it was barely audible. On the other hand it was fun and nostalgic to put on a record and listen to music that I loved the way we used to listen to it - on vinyl, a turntable, etc. But staying there for 2 nights there was not much time since Hudson and vicinity offered us a lot. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast in the amazingly well equipped and large eat-in kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect. All in all a very good experience.
Beautiful home, with wonderful amenities and a great location
Major safety and hazard issues. Exposed electrical wiring and major water leak all over the kitchen floor. There are no smoke detectors in the house.
Spacious, great kitchen and appliances, and a nice outdoor space. About a 15 min walk to Warren St. Would stay here again!
We loved staying at red cottage. The home was clean, beautiful, and exactly as described. It is a quick walk to downtown Hudson. We will definitely be booking again for future visits to Hudson. The hosts were prompt to respond and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
It's a well-appointed, cozy home. Good blankets.
Amazing house with everything you might need for a comfortable stay Great locations and helpful hosts 10/10 would recommend
Highly recommend this charming place, fully equipped, tastefully decorated, personally I enjoyed the view of the cemetery: very peaceful lol, and of course can’t not mention how easy was communication with the host 5/5
The house was well maintained, clean and charming. Just a short drive to town!
Great place to stay, if I had to fault it, it's slightly out of the way of the main Hudson shops, bars & restaurants. Still walkable but I'd recommend a car
Hudson Valley Retreat Modern interiors in a small 2-story cottage or pseudo modern gothic revival exterior architectural style. Definitely rural feel, out in peaceful, get-away lifestyle living. Located across the Hudson Cemetery, well organized, quiet (except for occasional nearby fire station alarm). Very comfy. 5-mins drive or 25-mins walk to destination downtown full of boutique shops, eateries, and specialties. Would return to this property.
