Valentines weekend Positive: A non-fussy check in, warm room and location. Negative: Not much to not like. The pub was quiet.

Positive: Location Comfortable bed Our room was clean Negative: Room very dark. Needed options of more brighter lighting. No welcome pack. Staff not too happy at handing out wifi code. Was not told that we could have breakfast at Old Hall across the road...at reduced rate, until it was too late. A local who worked there told us on last day. No information about leaving, except time. No information what to do with room keys. We left them in the door and went.

Room was absolutely stunning and was even bigger than the pictures made it out to be. Great access to all local cafes and pubs and close walking trails. Host was very responsive. Room is right above the pub so depending on the night you stay it could get quite rowdy. Saturday night was a little loud compared to Sunday night but wasn’t anything crazy. Bathroom needed a sweep and wipe down, but other than that the room was gorgeous and I will definitely be coming back to stay when I’m back in the Peaks District!

The property being refurbished and located above a busy pub. However, there’s no disturbance with noice. There is room for improvement with other amenities such as wardrobe and lighting etc.
