Woodcutters Cottage is a perfect holiday retreat for up to 5 people. Tucked away in a quiet village of
Suffield on the edge of the Gunton estate and its 1000 acre deer park, just a few miles inland from the
north Norfolk coastline, this cottage provides the perfect luxury holiday spot.

Offering a wonderful relaxing base, the cottage offers easy access to the scenic coastline, the lovely
inland towns of Alysham and Holt; and close-by to the Norfolk Broads.

Completely renovated in 2019, this 300 year old former estate workers property offers a massive lounge
with stunning oak beams, luxury fully equipped kitchen and 3 good sized bedrooms. The family bathroom
has been lovingly renovated to the highest standards with full sized bath and separate walk-in shower
whilst the master bedroom boasts its own private ensuite.

Tasteful muted Farrow and Ball colours, crisp clean furnishings and simple understated elegance enhance
the character of the cottage which is furnished using beautiful fabrics from leading British designers to
create a contemporary country style. Beautiful paintings adorn the walls whilst interesting collections of
art fill the shelves. The cottage renovation featured in the February 2020’s issue of UK national home

Close to several large National Trust estates, Woodcutter’s is the perfect base for exploring the coast, the
scenic inland villages of north Norfolk, the vibrant city of Norwich and the Norfolk Broads, Britain’s largest
area of inland waterway.

Surrounded by peaceful countryside and charming rural villages, the cottage offers a relaxing setting perfect for unwinding and exploring the local area. Guests can enjoy nearby country walks, traditional pubs, local farm shops and easy access to the beautiful Norfolk coast. The area is ideal for nature lovers, cyclists and anyone looking to experience quiet village life with plenty of scenic spots nearby.

A car is recommended to fully explore the surrounding countryside, coastline and nearby towns. The property includes private parking, and the quiet country roads make travelling around easy and enjoyable. Nearby villages and attractions are within a short drive, while larger towns with shops, restaurants and transport links can also be reached conveniently by car.

“Wonderful stay. The home was as beautiful as it is in the pictures. Very tastefully decorated and furnished, and practical and usable too. Kitchen had everything needed to cook good meals. Living room was pleasant to hang out and socialize in. Bedrooms and bathrooms just great. Parking outside was easy. Only downside was the stairs are a little on the steep side, and both the bathrooms are upstairs. There's not much to Suffield village. But it is quiet and peaceful out there. There is some very pleasant walking to be had in the 'private' Gunton park nearby.... just say you're visiting the church. And Gunton Arms is a wonderful place for a memorable dinner. Lots of interesting beaches and places to visit within 20-30mins drive.”

“We loved our stay at this beautiful house. Great location, the property had everything we needed and was beautifully lit with the log burner ready to light when we arrived. There was also a lovely hamper on arrival. The place was clean, nicely decorated and worked well for us as a family of 4 with two young children. We didn’t receive any instructions before arriving in Norfolk but I phoned before arrival and Host and Stay were prompt with resolving and providing directions immediately. I’ll also note that the listing says no fire alarm or CO monitor- the property does have both! Really lovely stay- highly recommend.”
