Outstanding! When can we come back?! Positive: Our stay at Voyagers View was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spotlessly clean and beautifully presented everything was. It felt like a true home away from home, with every detail carefully considered. The welcome hamper was such a lovely surprise, filled with thoughtful touches that made us feel instantly at ease. The bathrooms were stocked with luxury Molton Brown products, which added a real sense of indulgence. The towels and bedding smelled incredibly fresh, and the bath mats were honestly the softest we’ve ever used. It’s those little luxuries that make a stay feel really special. One of the absolute highlights was waking up to the stunning views over the harbour from the bedrooms. It was peaceful, picturesque and the perfect backdrop to a relaxing stay. Perfect location. Voyagers View is a place that offers both comfort and luxury in equal measure. We loved every moment and would return in a heartbeat. Negative: If we had to mention one tiny point, and it really is a very small one, it would be that there wasn’t any particularly comfortable seating downstairs for relaxing in the evening. After a long day out walking in the rain, it would have been lovely to sink into a cosy sofa or armchair and unwind properly. That said, with the layout of the cottage, it’s completely understandable that this may not be possible. This is by no means a criticism—just a small observation we made during our stay. It certainly didn’t affect our experience or take away from how much we enjoyed being at Voyager View.

Cannot fault the accommodation! Hands down the nicest Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and everything provided was luxury. Lovely little hamper provided, which was a nice welcome. It’s obvious that the hosts take a huge amount of pride in this property and know how to provide the perfect holiday home.

Had an amazing stay at Voyagers view. The accommodation was high specification with luxury touches throughout and immaculately clean. Lovely terraced garden lit at night and catches the sun all day. Voyagers view is accessed via steep steps but worth the hike. Short stroll to pubs, restaurants and cobbled streets leading to the Abbey. Would highly recommend

Stayed in whitby about 15 times in the last 20 years. This was the most luxurious and well equipped Positive: First class. So clean. Kitchen fully equipped. All Appliances were high quality. Bedding was high quality and immaculately clean. Lovely touches like a welcome hamper and molten brown in the bathroom. Right in the heart of old whitby. Would definitely stay again. The hosts clearly stay in the property themselves and we had a wonderful time. Thank you. Negative: Nothing negative. A charming old cottage. There are a lot of steps up the yard to the property but this is expected in the old part of whitby. It

Absolutely Fabulous! Exceptional views, location and comfort! It’s faultless! Positive: What a wonderful place to stay! The whole cottage feels both welcoming and luxurious. Comfy beds and we appreciated the heated blankets keeping us nice and toasty. We loved how close to the town and the beach it is, next time we’re definitely bringing the dog! We particularly enjoyed the garden which is so beautifully lit. Magical. Negative: We wish it hadn’t been autumn so we could fully enjoy the garden! We will definitely be returning in the summer and hopefully have alfresco dining!

Magical Luxury Experience Positive: Voyagers’ View has it all. It’s truly magical. What we particularly loved is that it’s very clear that the owners, Rupert & Chloe stay here very regularly so it really feels like a home from home. From the moment you arrive - the house (and garden!) is beautifully illuminated and the heating is on to make you feel immediately embraced by comfort. There is simply the best Welcome Basket - thoughtfully chosen tea/biscuits/cake/crisps from Whitby itself and Nespresso coffee pods also provided. There was even milk so we could have a cuppa straight away! The thoughtful touches and luxury abound everywhere. The kitchen has every conceivable utensil and equipped with everything else you need so other than food we didn’t have to buy any other essentials. The two bathrooms are equipped with the full Molton Brown experience - hand soap and lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The beds and pillows and fabulously comfortable - we like that there are soft and harder pillows for choice and both slept exceptionally well! A real highlight is the views over the harbour beautiful from every room. And for our dogs - the enclosed garden, what a thing to have in Whitby old town. A simply wonderful experience and a real step above all other places we have stayed. We can’t recommend it enough. Negative: We only booked for 2 nights and wished we’d made it longer! We will deffo come back in the summer to enjoy the garden even more - we’ve attached some photos we took of it in the snow.

As annual holidayers to Whitby , this is the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The house was beautiful, with amazing attention to detail and high quality finish and perfect for dogs as an added bonus. It is 2 minutes into the old town with spectacular views . A lovely welcome hamper was an extra special touch . We will definitely stay again thank you ☺️

Not quite value for money. But otherwise good. Positive: All the amenities were good and had everything needed, netflix on tvs in every room. Kitchen appliances easy to use. The house was spot on with cleanliness. Welcome basket was appreciated. Loved the bannister rail! Negative: The patio area was a disappointment as the pictures made it look stunning but when we arrived in was covered in seagull poo which wasn't fresh it had been there for days, so we were unable to sit out and enjoy our time relaxing after busy days walking round Whitby. Our check-out time was 10am and the owner arrived just gone 9:30 and we were made to feel like we had to leave so we vacated at 9:45 to be greeted by the cleaners already walking to the house. One thing was that there was too many big furnishings for a small house, to the point of the glass table in the lounge area which ended up with the dog getting dead leg just from trying to get past. The communication about parking wasn't adequate as I had asked and was told there was parking nearby but not told about the permit left at the house so ended up paying for parking for the whole weekend so that was an extra cost.

Quaint cottage in lovely Whitby old town. Positive: Well what can we say about Voyagers View....the position in Whitby is fabulous. Tucked away in one of the quiet Whitby yards behind the White Horse Pub. The setting allows you to take in the Whitby atmosphere and day to day life with on the doorstep local amenities and delightful local shops. There are a few steps up to the cottage and the parking can be a bit tricky..sometimes we managed to get a parking spot on the Church Street car park and other times we had to stay in the long stay car park over the swing bridge, but the position of the cottage more than made up for it. The cottage itself is delightful. Very quaint with lovely touches throughout. The welcome basket is a lovely thought with the local produce of tea, biscuits , cake and milk. With two shower rooms it served our party well of two adult couples. Thoughtfully furnished throughout, the cottage offers very comfortable beds and sitting for four in the lounge. As some have mentioned the coffee table is quite large for a small cottage but the whole ambience of the cottage allowed for a very chilled week away. Some activities to try are the walk to Sandsend (check the tide times), the circular railway walk from Grosmont to Goathland (taking in a lunch break at Goathland Gift and Tea Rooms), afternoon tea at Marie Antoinette's (yards from the cottage) and a must with the Whitby Ghost Walk with Dr Crank. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back....perhaps in the summer to enjoy the garden area. Negative: Nothing....we loved the whole experience. Next time we would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lovely garden.

AirbnbSep 2025

Stylish and very high quality fixtures, fittings, bed linen, kitchenware etc. We used the patio garden every evening which is beautiful for sunset and had none of the gull-related issues we had read about. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Location is great - lovely shops and cafés just on the local street but no traffic as the road is a dead end. There were just 2 of us so we didn't use the upper bedroom. The downstairs was a nice size for us but it would have been cramped we had been 4 adults. I'm not sure there is anything more the host could have done to have made our stay any better.

This cottage was such a joy to stay in! You can tell immediately that it’s the owners’ (Rupert and Chloe) second home—it has a warmth and personality that so many rentals lack. Unlike the “money-making units” we’ve come across in the past, this space is filled with thoughtful details, from the Whitby-themed mugs to the well-chosen artwork, indoor and outdoor games, and whimsical touches throughout. The overall feel is peaceful, welcoming, and just right for a true getaway. The bathrooms, with their charming hummingbird tiles, made us smile every time we walked in. And the level of care in stocking the home is truly unmatched—after ten years of Airbnb stays, we’ve never had one so thoroughly equipped. If you think you might need it, chances are you’ll find it here (and probably in spades!). There was even a wonderful gift basket waiting for us in the kitchen, which our daughters just couldn't get over! We left feeling refreshed and grateful for such a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

Great cottage, lovely inside. We went with our 2 year old and 4 year old and they loved it, we made use of the garden as we had a mild sunny day and the coffee machine and Molton Brown toiletries were a real treat. Greta location, easy to find.

The four of us have had a brilliant weekend stay Your terraced cottage is ideally placed in the centre (not far from the abbey steps), up some steps from a peaceful courtyard, and is beautifully furnished. Lots of home-from-home essentials too, which makes life easier. Loved the Molton Brown stuff. We loved the patio, and ate all our meals outside (weather had a helping hand). Being just under the abbey, there was a great view overlooking the harbour below, from our bedroom window. Thanks

I would most definitely recommend and return Positive: Property was immaculate, we couldn’t have asked for anything more, kitchen well stocked with bin bags, washing up liquid etc all the stuff I pack to take. Electric blankets, bedding spotless and fresh. Location excellent! Negative: Not good for the less able bodied person, due to steps up with luggage. Coffee table in the middle of small room, makes moving round difficult.

We had an amazing stay here to bring in the new year, the house is gorgeous and very central whilst it still felt very private. A book full of instructions and recommendations came in very handy and the house even came with a full box of board games that we took advantage of :) The kitchen is fully equipped, we cooked most of our meals with no problem and everything in the house was of a high standard, we especially enjoyed the decorations around the house including some Christmas themed decor as we stayed over the festive period. Would definitely recommend Voyager’s View for your next get away!!

Wonderful Romatic Retreat! Positive: A friend recommended this cottage to us. It’s fair to say we were absolutely blown away with it. It just feels so cosy. Perfect for a romantic few days away. The attention to detail makes the property a real one off. We’ll be back! Negative: We just wished we were staying longer! It’s so amazingly located that the time just flew by, with the beautiful Church Street and all of Whitby just at the bottom of the yard. We didn’t need to use the car once for our whole stay!

Beautifully presented and luxurious property which felt very homely and cosy. Positive: Beautifully presented, well thought through with luxurious feel to it property. Extremely clean with lots of extras you don’t usually get with holiday properties. It felt really homely, comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.

EmmaBooking.comSep 2026

Very cosy and very enjoyable, so convenient for a stay in Whitby Positive: The interior was exceptional!!!! Beautiful, very comfy beds and pillows , the location amazing for the town facilities, although you have to be very fit as there are a number of steps up to the property and no onsite parking Negative: The lack of parking nearby so unloading cases from the car was very difficult having to take them up a few flights of steps to the house but we were in Whitby so we couldn’t expect parking, although if you go to the tourist information center over the town bridge you can buy long term parking for a number of days which was so helpful

We had a lovely stay in Whitby. The location was perfect, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Everything was just right, and we’d happily stay again. Highly recommended!

The house is great location, nice and clean, but parking was extremely difficult. Positive: The location was great. Negative: The settee was not very comfortable, table in living room a little big for such small room.

MelissaBooking.comAug 2026

Welcoming and homely! Positive: Great stock of items- everything you could think of! I especially loved the games and the outdoor patio. Negative: I only gave it a nine as we kept getting woken up by the toilet in our room which sounded to be flushing all night long. I wish the check in was a little later too but minus that it was perfect!

GaynorBooking.comAug 2026

Beautifully presented, exceptionally well-equipped and a perfect home from home, but be aware of the steep steps and lim Positive: Voyagers View is beautifully presented throughout, with quality fittings and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, with plenty of facilities and all the essentials you could think of. There are two lovely double bedrooms, one on each floor. The first-floor bedroom has a compact ensuite, with the main bathroom also on this floor, while the top-floor bedroom has a TV. It really is a perfect home-from-home and feels very well thought out. Overall, a fantastic property and a lovely place to stay. Just be aware that, due to the steep steps and layout, it’s definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Negative: A note on parking: the closest car park, CastView, is small and mainly used by residents, so there’s little chance of finding a space there, and parking on Castle Street is also limited. You can drop off at the passageway entrance, but be warned that there is a steep climb up the steps! The Marina car park on the other side of town is definitely the best option for parking.

We had a wonderful stay - the cottage is really nicely furnished and presented. Everything was clean and comfortable. Really good use of the space. The location is excellent and we loved the terrace.

DarleneBooking.comJul 2026

Great location, bright clean cottage with great outdoor space. Positive: Excellent location, very clean bright accommodation.Well equiped for self catering. Top brand kit. Negative: Wine glasses not in keeping with quality of other small kitchen equipment. Wine glasses more like sundae glasses. Spoil nice wine. No mirrors in bedrooms.

PaulVrboJul 2026

Great property in great location, lots of lovely touches inside, very comfortable. Garden was one of my main reasons for booking and certainly wasn’t disappointed with it. A fair amount of steps up to the property with the bags but it’s Whitby, there are bound to be a few steps, maybe consider this if you have mobility issues but we (60 ish) would definitely book this house again, wouldn’t even think of a different place. 10/10.

Peaceful Positive: Although there is a lot of stairs, the location is perfect, we couldn’t believe how walkable we were. Negative: The stairs became an issue when I hurt myself on a walk. So if you have mobility issues of any kind, don’t recommend for you

Great weekend in Whitby in a beautiful cottsge! Positive: Beautiful well equipped cottage in a central location. Very clean and lots of added extras. The garden area is a sun trap, really beautiful with high quality furniture to relax and eat al fresco. Negative: Lots of steps to get to the property but that’s typical for Whitby.

It was a lovely stay and perfect location Positive: It was a lovely property and quality accessories. The beds and bedding were lovely Negative: I thought there was too many ornaments lamps etc. the large coffee table took up too much room in a small space. If it wasn't there there probably could have been room for a better sitting space.

Hidden gem of a property providing peace and luxery Positive: The house was in a quiet private location but only a few minutes walk from the main street of Whitby. The property had everything that you could ever need and more. The welcome hamper was so lovely and we especially loved the Molton Brown toiletries. We had a fab stay thank you Negative: Nothing at all!

Lovely base for short stay. Traveled many areas. Positive: Very clean centrally located. Brilliant facilities thought of every thing. Lovely garden. Negative: Nothing really, quite a few steps to property so may be difficult for some. Parking is pay as you go so advise to down load ringo app. It’s £13.00 for 24 hours but the app can be used throughout the borough council.

Stylish cottage with lovely terrace garden. Positive: Perfect location, beautiful cottage with gorgeous terrace garden. Really well equipped and very comfortable with stylish and high quality furnishings and fittings. Great it was dog friendly too. Negative: As with many properties in Whitby, parking is a challenge, but this didn't negatively affect our stay or stop us recommending this property

AirbnbMay 2026

We had a lovely stay, the house is beautifully furnished, well presented and was spotlessly clean on arrival. It’s in a nice spot in the old part of Whitby. We had a great time and would recommend.

AngelaBooking.comApr 2026

Nice to stay in a beautiful property home from home . Positive: The property was beautiful and spotlessly clean. There was someone easy to contact with any query. Negative: I have realised there’s a difference between pets allowed and pet friendly. The day before arrival we received details of the property ref key safe ect and it stated no pets on furniture or upstairs. I completely understand why the owners don’t want dogs upstairs as the property as I said is beautiful ( perhaps shouldn’t allow pets) There were no guidelines on how to keep pets off the furniture while we were in bed ! Or dog whined the whole night and we were shattered on the Saturday. A lesson learned for me to ask questions before hand. I don’t let my dogs on the bed they sleep on their own bed on the floor. I would definitely stay at the property again but I wouldn’t go with my dogs

All you could wish for and more Positive: The cottage had everything you could want and more. Spotlessly clean, fabulous beds and bedding, heated blankets, the list is endless. The lovely garden is an added bonus too. Negative: There are alot of steps up to the property which wasn't a problem for us, including my 83 year old mum, who took her time. Anyone with mobility issues might struggle though

Beautiful little cottage in great location. Just tucked out the way enough to feel private but right in the middle of everything too. The place was well furnished and decorated and we appreciated the attention to detail with the smart appliances, lighting, Sonos and hue garden lights. The outdoor space was a much welcome addition too. Everything you could need was provided and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

TraceyBooking.comMar 2026

Positive: A beautiful and impeccably clean little cottage in the heart of Whitby. Really comfortable beds and pillows and I loved the added comfort of the electric blankets. Lovely little touches too like molten brown toiletries and a welcome hamper on arrival. The little enclosed garden was also very pretty. Highly recommended. Negative: The parking is very limited in Whitby, although that is no detriment to the property. Maybe a little warning about the amount of steep steps up to the cottage might be helpful for people with limited mobility. The cottage itself is faultless. I would stay here again

This beautiful cottage in Whitby was everything we hoped for and more. The location couldn’t be better. Peaceful, picturesque, and just a short walk from everything. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping it welcoming for guests. Nice touches like the welcome hamper. Beds were very comfortable and the showers lovely. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it!

MandyBooking.comOct 2025

Our stay was relaxing and very comfortable. Positive: The property was well equipped very clean and comfortable beds. Negative: The steps up to the property and also the parking we had to pay around £45 extra to stay 24hrs but we also felt that we couldn’t go anywhere in the car as we wouldn’t have got a parking space again as it was always full.

KerryBooking.comOct 2025

Perfect Positive: Location is great as its tucked behind a busy street so distant enough to not be disturbed but 30 seconds away from the shops, pubs, restaurants etc. The cottage was very well equipped, more than just having the basics. Little thoughtful touches made our stay more special, like the shower products, cleaning products, plenty of toilet rolls and the welcome gift was so lovely! You can tell that the owners really do care about this property. The beds are amazingly comfortable with nice quality bedding. I didn't want to leave! Negative: It would be useful to have somewhere to put coats. A minor detail really given how lovely and well equipped the cottage was otherwise

SharonBooking.comOct 2025
PeteBooking.comSep 2025

Positive: A great central location ( subject to the access difficulties listed below). The cottage has been fitted out to a very high standard and everything worked as it should. The garden area opposite was lovely and looked really pretty when illuminated at night. Negative: More information is required warning of access difficulties. There are 32 steps up to the cottage from White Horse Yard and vehicular access into the yard from Church Street ( for loading and unloading luggage) was extremely difficult. I doubt if anything larger than the Suzuki S Cross that we were in could actually get into the yard. More information about car parking would be useful as the scratch cards supplied gave access to parking which was a considerable distance from the cottage. Pay and display parking is available nearer to the cottage but costs £11.90 for 24 hours. The glass table in the sitting area is too large and we kept banging our legs on it. One half the size would be better.

AirbnbSep 2025

Would highly recommend this Air BnB - the house was absolutely gorgeous, and spotlessly clean! The beds were also so comfy! The hosts had really gone the extra mile with every little detail thought of - a welcome basket of local goodies, a really helpful welcome guide, molton brown toiletries, and a good selection of board games (to name a few!) We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. Everything was perfect, beautifully decorated, very clean, exceptionally well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a lovely terraced garden with full garden furniture. The hosts description was very accurate, including the 38 steps from the street. But when in Whitby, you have to be prepared for steps. All in all, a really great experience.

AirbnbJul 2025

A really lovely place. Centrally located. Lots of attention to detail to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Only reservation is the steps to get there with luggage but then without that you don’t get the views!! And the steps were in the description. And the noisy gulls. Again goes with the territory. Don’t stay by the sea if you don’t want to hear gulls but be warned! Thanks was a lovely place. Would definitely recommend.

PennyBooking.comJul 2025

Very comfortable and well appointed home. Positive: Home from home, fully equipped, lovely welcome basket. Some very attractive paintings and prints on the walls, Amazing little en-suite with good water pressure in the shower. It has a very attractive outdoor space, but the weather and the seagulls prevented us using it. Negative: The three flights of stairs to the front door. The shabby courtyard to gain access by the pub.

Comfortable and well equipped little cottage in a central position. Positive: Lovely little cottage, situated right in the centre of the old part of town. Thoughtfully equipped and tastefully presented. Comfy bed. Quality appliances. Terraced outdoor space which catches the sun if you’re lucky enough to have some! Negative: It is at the top of a steep flight of steps and wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. No parking, and when it’s busy you may have a long walk to the nearest car park with spaces ( obviously not the property’s fault! )

AirbnbApr 2025

Beautiful cottage. High standard fittings and fixtures. Lovely extra personal touches such as a welcome pack with local products. Garden lovely to sit out in with comfortable garden furniture. Whitby is a beautiful place to visit and plenty to do. Good access to trains and buses to visit local places such as Pickering and Robin Hoods Bay. Would definitely recommend.

AlexanderBooking.comApr 2025

A really lovely stay in a brilliant location with lovely facilities, (shame about the parking) Positive: It was a lovely home with brilliant facilities, nicely decorated, comfy beds, and excellent kitchen facilities. Negative: The parking situation is very poorly explained, and this is the only reason I'd drop marks, not because of the situation just because it wasn't explained prior and makes arriving quite difficult/stressful. It's not "50m" away. The closest is 100m and that's only for 30 minutes, It's not free unless you are 200m+ away, and even then, you are very lucky if you get a space. So, if you arrive at a busy time of year, it must be nearly impossible not to pay for parking, which is £10.50 per day. The heating couldn't be changed without a code that wasn't in the handbook either.

Positive: This is the best and warmest B&B I have stayed in over the past 30 years. We arrived an hour early, and the host was still cleaning, but she kindly allowed us to leave our luggage in the room so we could explore Whitby without any burden. Every piece of furniture, household item, and decoration in the room was tasteful. The bed linens, duvet, and towels were impeccably clean and very comfortable to use. The host generously prepared plenty of food, Nespresso coffee pods, and tea for us. The food came from a historic local bakery in Whitby, adding an unexpected delight to our trip and deepening our appreciation of the town. We could feel the host’s pride as a Whitby resident—her warmth and hospitality were truly infectious, making us fall in love with this beautiful and ancient town. I will definitely return to Whitby for another holiday and will book this lovely three-story stone house again as my place to stay.

Struggled to work out how to turn off the bedroom cupboard light and my quest about it was not responded to, event worked out it was on automated timer. (It randomly turned on again twice in middle of night!) other than this cannot fault anything, lovely place in lovely location

Cute little cottage, very clean and a welcoming space once inside. Everything you need for a hassle free break. Access an issue due to parking far away and steep set of stairs to get to the property. Great little garden over the footpath, sadly not used as it was winter. Whitby is a fabulous location and the property is ideal as walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants

Lovely cottage which was pristine and the host had thought of everything we could possibly need for our weekend (and things we never knew we needed). Very quiet location but within the town centre so close to restaurants, bars, attractions etc. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to Whitby.

What a find! A real gem nestled in the old part of the town! Can’t wait to come back! Positive: Hands down the best holiday cottage we have stayed in! They really mean it when they say it’s home from home. All the little touches made this a very special place to stay. Very comfortable and cosy. What a treat to have such a big garden as well, we definitely want to come back in the summer to enjoy it fully! Oh and thank you for the fabulous welcome treats! Negative: We really can’t think of anything that we didn’t like. Even having steps to climb up to the cottage was worth it as it is such a lovely place with incredible views!
