Great host thank you for having us; perfect for contractors

Perfect for our working week.

Booking . Scam Positive: Nothing! Negative: Arrived to find property already occupied, owner uses several sites under different names . Booking .com and owner not interested in rectifying the situation , owner blamed booking .com while making contact with booking .com is a nightmare when you do,. they hang up on you. Not easy to find other accommodation when there's 4 adults and 3 children at 4pm , ended up in hotel an hour away. Finally the next day I received message from booking .com asking if I had managed to find suitable alternative accommodation and I'd get refund in 10 -14 days! I hate to think what a family who saved up for the holiday would have done. Won't use booking . com again . Beware!b

Avoid Negative: They cancelled our stay at 7am the day before arriving as they ‘double booked’ us. Was booked for 6-7 months for the record. No phone call to warn us I found out through a message on the app. Meanwhile they still accepted our check in request and the booking was still showing as active. They then just passed us back to booking who tried to help but we couldn’t find anything reasonable for the next day. Had to use air BnB. They didn’t seem to care that we had no place to stay and the ‘resolution’ took hours and was unreasonable.

Unfortunately the boiler had an issue on arrival but not an issue, engineer arrived next morning and all sorted so fantastic service to get it resolved and all communicated throughout by a helpful team.

The house is well located for what we needed, close to bus route, shops and Wicksteed Park. However there were a number of issues with the property ranging from a blocked sink to broken glass in the garden. When reported, the host (an agency) gave us the number of someone local to call to fix the problems, but they did not respond to our message. The listing also advertises a separate office space, but this was locked and looking through the window it’s clear it is being used for storage and not accessible. Overall the property served our needs for a week’s stay in the area. The beds were comfy, kitchen worked well and there is a good tv and WiFi, but it is not being very well maintained.

Lovely place to stay

The photos did not match the description. Some items were missing or broken. The office was locked, so could not be used. The location was good and the property definitely had potential, it just needed some maintenance and tlc.

Good sized house with parking for 1 car upon the drive with other parking on the road. Clean and tidy
