Thank you for hosting us. Unfortunately, our stay wasn’t quite what we had hoped for. The bathroom was dirty and had visible stains, which was disappointing. The accommodation also lacked basic bathroom and kitchen essentials, and we were told that only two toilet rolls were provided, after which we would need to buy our own. Given the detailed housekeeping rules, we expected the property to be much cleaner. We also felt that the £40 non-refundable fee or £250 refundable deposit was excessive. The number of rules and potential extra charges made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy our stay. I understand that every host has their own policies, but I believe guests should feel comfortable and have access to basic essentials. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet our expectations, and I wouldn’t choose to return.

The lodge is furnished with lovely curtains and blinds. Lovely lighting. Large comfy sofa. Sofa bed not comfy at all. Nice hottub , nice surroundings. Lovely bathrooms. Only let down for us was the beds, we personally didn't find them comfortable, didn't get much sleep and all had backache. Considering I was paying for 5star, I expected better mattresses. This matter couldn't be resolved for us. No compensation offered either. Cleaners don't check crockery is clean too. We had to wash it all and cleaned all kitchen tops , when we entered there was no smell at all of cleaning been done .

My family did enjoyed our stay Negative: The home was not clean. Everywhere was dusty. The electric kettle was full of limescale, the bread toaster was full of strong bread crumps and the shower room wasn't properly clean. Emphasis on house keeping.

Beautiful lodge, we had a lovely time and our fur baby also loved it. Would absolutely be staying again!
