Pros: - Great location for access to Keswick and the Lake District - Lovely living room with access to books, board games and record player - Two off street parking spaces - Well equipped kitchen Cons: - Dog poo in front garden (previous guest?) didn’t give best first impression - Dining table is small and only two chairs so a family of four can’t sit and eat together - Tired decor and bathroom could do with a good scrub. Overall a nice, quiet place in a good location for the Lakes. Wouldn’t recommend for a group larger than two unless eating out due to lack of dining space and chairs.

Excellent location to Hikes & walks and Keswick centre with all the restaurants and bars.

Needs maintenance and a deep clean. Oven dirty. Mould around the windows.

Host & Stay were terrible at addressing the issues we had. We had no heating for the duration of our stay which left us freezing. I attempted to contact them about the issue and they gave generic responses and didn’t pick up the phone when I tried to call. As it was evident the heating hadn’t been on for a while, it was most likely that the pipes had frozen. They didn’t care at all when I suggested this. The cooker didn’t work either as there was no gas being produced and we were greeted with a sign that stated not to use it which we were not made aware of. We also had no hot water coming out of the taps. Host & Stay are completely incompetent at delivering any kind of customer service and I would avoid using them at any properties they manage.

House needs updating and cleaning. Positive: Location. Parking space for 2 cars. Negative: Bathroom needs to be fully refurbished. Mould and rusty shelf in shower. Kitchen had unit doors hanging off and a missing door. Paintwork very dirty.

lovely house in a residential area, convenient walk into town

Lovely place close to central Keswick. Great off road parking and good base for a trip to the lakes. Has a homely feel to it.

It was a wonderful stay; the place was clean and smelled lovely. The kitchen was fully equipped.

The cottage is in a quiet area only a few minutes walk from the town centre. The living room is very cosy and inviting as is the garden which gets alot of sunshine. The kitchen is very well equipped for everything you may need. The walls are dated and very bare but if you can see past that then it is a very comfortable place to stay. There were also a couple of washing capsules which were very handy and the tea and coffee jars were full which is good for when you have had a long drive. We hope to come again in the future. Although the house is on a housing estate it’s very peaceful and opposite a park. The house is in need of updating but even so is comfortable, warm and cosy and certainly has everything you need.
