First impressions were very positive. Gorgeous location with lovely views. Lodge was clean, spacious and well equipped. However, we were disappointed that the 3rd bedroom didn’t fit a travel cot in. I had asked if a travel cot would fit in all 3 bedrooms before booking. I was told yes. We were 3 adults traveling with 3 babies. This meant we had to put one of the babies in the office, which led to disrupted sleep. I messaged the host when we realised but the issue wasn’t resolved. There was no apology or acknowledgement of the mistake. I had also asked for a high chair a week before the trip - I was told yes. But there was no high chair provided, when I asked they said they didn’t have a high chair at the property. We also found the lodge to be a bit tired. TVs didn’t work, rusty hot tub, broken doors, etc. Feels like the place needs some TLC. I would recommend the property, but I would not return due to the lack of accurate information, and lack of any attempt to resolve.

Where to start ! Me, my partner and a few friends stayed here for 2 nights for my partners birthday and the only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer ! Upon arrival the cleanliness of the lodge will outstanding. The location is perfect ! We mins drive to local shops, cafes, bars ect is unreal as well. It feels like you’re staying in the middle of nowhere with his peaceful and quiet it is ! The communication on the air b&b was brilliant. Very quick responses with information, double checking if you have any questions. Value for money was amazing. Already planing out next visit ! -Great service -Great location -Great lodge I could go on about this incredible place. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone !

We were a family of 7 adults staying at this beautiful lodge. Clean, spacious, private hot tub and access to the shared sauna. Area is beautiful. We did have some issues with one the neighbours staying in the next door lodge. They were banging on our doors and windows trying to provoke us for no reason. I called up the host at midnight and they picked up straight away and spoke to us, and helped sort the issue. They were helpful, attentive and took it seriously which we really appreciated. Would recommend staying here. Would definitely come back.

The chalet and grounds are beautiful, nice & peaceful with lots of wildlife. Family of 8 for our son’s 30th birthday we all really enjoyed our stay. The road to the chalets needs resurfacing full of pots holes so a bumpy ride. Log burner logs hadn’t been filled but the central heating was more than adequate, would be even better when the weather is nice. The tv remote is something else haha.. the sauna is lovely very refreshing in the morning. It’s a Lovely place, for family’s, friends or couples. definitely recommend would all stay again

We had a wonderful stay at this lodge, it’s the perfect escape if you’re looking for a mix of relaxation and outdoor adventure. All lodges have views across the lake and towards Roseberry Topping. Waking up to that scenery each morning was a real highlight. The lodge itself was spotless, cosy, and very well equipped and the hot tub and wood burner made it more relaxing The location is ideal for walkers, with plenty of routes right from the doorstep, and the walk into the local town where there is pubs and places to eat nearby, so you get the best of both worlds. Peaceful surroundings with plenty to explore. We also really appreciated the little extras on site like the sauna with views, the playground, and the dog-friendly facilities. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind and recharge.

Perfect for a weekend getaway, would highly recommend. Couldn’t find which lodge it was at first, but the CS guy was amazing and helped us with everything we needed. Thank you, would do this again :)

We had a fantastic 2 nights stay. Hot tub was nice and there’s a lovely walk through the fields to Great Ayton. Would recommend.

Beautiful

Very nice lodge tidy and clean. Would recommend to others however you should take your own toiletries as it states on Airbnb that shampoo and shower gel is inlcuded as part of amenities but when you get there it isnt included as per the owners response. We were given complimentary conditioner and shower gel the next day but it wasnt ideal as we couldnt shower on the first night and was told to use the hand wash in the bathroom. That is the only thing but apart from that everything was really good!

Beautiful setting, lovely clean Lodge, nice and quiet. Hot tub was well maintained and good temperature. Good communication from the host. Would stay again for a relaxing short break. Site in need of a bit of tlc, main site bins and recycling needed emptying as rubbish was piled up and blowing around.
