Positive: The location Negative: The downstairs toilet with 2 children

Home from home Positive: Loved the cosy feel and really felt instantly at home Negative: Only thing I would like to feedback is that it isn’t clear that the bathroom is not on the same floor as the bedrooms and there is no hand rail going up the stairs - this wouldn’t be an issue normarily but I booked this for my family including my 90 year old Nan and if caused us some issues in the night when she needed to use the bathroom

3 adults, 3 young children and a dog. the house is a good size, it was very clean and the location is a good base to explore North Wales. the village itself is small and quiet. the local beach which is a 10 minute walk is beautiful on a sunny day which the kids loved. we went crabbing on the pier and had a BBQ on the beach. There are also some good local walks with the coastal path and several hiking routes in easybreach. The rating we have given is due to the back door not working. the lock mechanism was broken and I reported this as soon as we arrived. communication was slow and I had to chase but it still wasn't fixed during our stay. one of the reasons we chose this property was the enclosed garden for the dog which we were unable to access as we couldn't unlock the back door. This was also a fire hazard with the only way to now exit the property in the event of a fire being the front door.

We loved our stay at Host & Stay’s cottage in Trefor. The cottage was central to visit Snowdonia and Isle of Angelesy. As a family we had lots of fun doing various activities close by as greenwood family park, train to snowdon mountain top and fishing trip at Holy head. The cottage was spotless clean and easy to access. There was a local supermarket just beside the cottage. Charlie was always quick to respond and answer our queries. We will definitely stay again with Host and Stay.

A fantastic stay in Tregor cottage. Positive: Trefor cottage was a lovely place with everything you needed. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar on arrival was most welcome after 5 days walking the pilgrim's way. Great to have a washer and a dryer. Comfy beds, a shower and a bath. Negative: As we wasn't driving the only place to eat close was Burts but that only opened on Friday and Saturdays, luckily the shop close to the cottage was well stocked and the kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal.

no.36 was excellent l, very homely from the off with easy access via lock box. Ideally located between Caernafon and Pwlhelli and 2 min drive to a lovely beach (Trefor) with a long open bay for paddle boarding and stone Jetty to throw the crabbing lines off. a must visit is Nant Gwytheryn Quarry round the coast. Amazing beautiful scenery. Both Caernafon and Pwlhelli had something for everyone and thrill seekers can find the Zip World sites in Llechewedd and Betwes y Coed. This a great base with a well stocked local shop for emergencies. thank you for letting us use your home this week. Jim and Family

A lovely, well looked after cottage in an old mining village. Good access to coastal paths Positive: Interesting location. Good access to the peninsular. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds Negative: Back door couldn't be locked from outside. Bins in backyard full of rubbish. No mirror in bathroom

Beautiful home to stay in with super comfy beds, fully enclosed and private back garden which was great for our dogs. Lovely quiet and sandy beach only 10 minutes walk from the house which our boys (11 & 13) don’t want to leave and plenty to do in the surrounding areas. 10/10 we all absolutely loved it and will be back!

Positive: Idyllic location, cosy home away from home Negative: It was perfect!

Absolutely filthy. Do not book. Negative: We arrived at the property at 20.40 after a 4.45hour drive from London. The house had not been cleaned at all. Blood stains and yellow residue all over the bed sheets. The towels were all wet and thrown around the property. Kitchen was filthy, food all over counters, dirty dishes. Cushions thrown around. Floor was muddy and dirty. Bathroom door does not lock. Bin was full and had not been changed. Fire detector is beeping. Overall, horrible experience - do not recommend. Reached out to host and stay as soon as we got in and the customer service was appalling. Phone was cut off many times, no urgency to resolve the issue at all. Save yourselves the hassle - do not book here.

Clean but neglected Positive: Nice walks nearby as well as a cosy pebble beach. Drier and washing machine good. Shop very close. Negative: Property issues Leaking conservatory roof Taped of electrical wires in the bathroom Hob was chipped and a large crack in it. Hob wiring under worktop jointed with tape Back yard overgrown with weeds Outdoor furniture filthy and in poor state Shower did not drain well and flooded bathroom. No mirror in bathroom Fridge downstairs from kitchen. Iron supplied had a worn wire, but was replaced. Most issues reported not had a response to these issues after 4 weeks. Cottage could be very nice, but found it clean, but somewhat neglected. The broken hob and evidence of poor, makeshift wiring was a safety concern.

Nice cosy cottage Positive: Very nice property with nice location Negative: No fridge in kitchen, fridge was downstairs in the utility room so no ideal. Bathroom also on ground level not on same level as bedrooms. Bedrooms nice. Tv in bedroom only used DVDs, no signal

A very enjoyable weekend in a lovely,cosy cottage Positive: Trefor cottage was a very cosy,warm ,inviting cottage,host and stay had provided everything you can think of although we had taken our own so didn’t use theirs. Negative: The dustbins were overflowing,so found it difficult when clearing out

OK for 1 night Positive: The cottage was easy to find, just round the corner from a corner shop which was handy. Walking distance to a lovely little beach. A good location for travelling round the area in a car. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfy. Negative: On arrival there was a smell of damp that hit you when walking through the door. Looking at the ceiling it seems there has been a leak in the past which may be causing the smell. However on having a shower the following morning, the drain seemed blocked as water wasn't going down. We had to use towels to dry the floor as the tray overflowed so this may also be a reason. We also found the check in and out times a bit mean, 4pm check in but then out by 10am. Didn't think it was worth the money. It was OK for 1 night but I'm glad we hadn't booked a longer stay.

Positive: Property was very nice , beds were comfortable , the single was very squeaky . The seating area to look over the garden . WiFi included . Well equipped kitchen Negative: Toilet is on the ground d floor. Couldn’t access the garden as faulty back door. Fridge is not in the kitchen even though there is space

Assez déçus par notre séjour ! Plusieurs problèmes : mauvaise odeur persistante à notre arrivée (malgré ouverture de toutes les fenêtres), pas de balais, aspirateur inutilisable, verrou de la porte de derrière bloqué (donc impossible de sortir dans le jardin où se trouvait les poubelles !). Surtout apparition de fissures au plafond de la salle de bain. Et pour tous ces soucis une absence quasi totale de réponse de Host&Stay ! Mauvais rapport qualité-prix d'autant qu'il faut rajouter au prix du séjour une caution obligatoire qui ne sera pas remboursée intégralement ! C'est dommage car la maison est assez grande et bien aménagée.

Ottima soluzione Positive: Posizione comoda, a pochi passi dal centro storico. Appartamento su due piani arredato in modo sobrio ma con gusto, cucina ben fornita, tutto molto pulito. Ci è piaciuto molto. Negative: Oddio, la scala che porta al piano superiore è parecchio ripida, ma credo sia uno standard nelle case anglosassoni, quindi non si può ritenere un vero difetto. Bisogna solo stare molto accorti.
