We had a fabulous stay at the Station Cottages. Attention to detail was unparalleled making the accommodation a very welcoming home from home. The double doors opened onto a patio with a grassed garden which was beautifully decorated with potted plants and ideal for holidays with a dog. We found the three bathrooms a great addition as we were able to swiftly get our family out to enjoy the so much to offer sights of North-East England. We could not find fault with anything and we hope to be back very soon!

If you are looking for peace and quiet with excellent dog walks on your doorstep then this quaint cottage tucked away down a farm track is exactly what you are looking for. Very well equipped with good sized rooms and a lovely ‘dog friendly’ garden with ample seating. Useful to have two parking spots, although one is pretty snug. Beds v comfortable and although we had an issue with the hot water, the showers are electric so these were totally fine. Station Cottage is a perfect spot for exploring the Newcastle/Durham area, Hadrian’s Wall, etc plus the communication with the host was excellent.

Ideal location for meeting some friends. Thé cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed walking our dog along the path at the front of the cottage and it was a great location for visits to Newcastle.

The cottage was quite far off the beaten path but a lovely rural location and very cosy. The house was equipped with everything you need, extremely clean and had a lovely back garden. We all said we would come back for a longer visit.

Beautiful property and really enjoyed our stay Positive: Lovely setting. Spacious and hot water was good Negative: Very tight parking. Long bumpy lane down to property but we were aware of these. Downstairs shower would benefit from a wall holder for shower head.

The cottage is lovely and was perfect for a family weekend away. Host provided clear instructions and was helpful throughout.

This was our third stay at this wonderful cottage and are already planning our fourth. Need I say more?

A home away from home in a beautiful area of Northumbria. You could only hear the birds singing and nothing else. The road to the house is a little bumpy so one must drive with care.

The cottage was spotless. It had all the equipment you would want. Very quiet location with plenty to do in the area.

We had a lovely stay . Great internal layout and comfortable. Bit grubby in places , but the beds were great .

Ideal location for seeing County Durham, Newcastle andcthe Tyne Valley

Lovely place in the countryside, has everything you need. Only problem we had was the upstairs shower didn’t work and wasn’t able to be fixed during our stay. Also there wasn’t many drinking glasses. Other than that it was a lovely stay and the hosts were always responsive. Big spacious and good for socialising garden. Nice layout for a group to socialise.

This was our first time using air b &b and i wont be our last, house was spotless and the entire house was finnished to a very high standard . Garden was nice grass recently cut ideal for your dog very comfy garden chairs to relax . Easy communication and easy instructions to find this cottage only very small downside was the road to the house few potholes, but if it was my house i would not repair it there s horses using this road so it slows you down .Nearest shop is a co op 2 miles away and Beamish Museum is only a 15 minutes drive so a perfect location . I would definitely go back to this cottage if i was ever in the area again i wish we had booked the cottage for longer.

Lovely home, but rude neighbors and poor management of several issues ruined our trip Positive: Property was very spacious and had plenty of room. Negative: We received verbal abuse from neighbors and the property was listed as dog family friendly with a secure garden but the garden was not secure and our dogs were able to jump into other adjoining cottages. It was very stressful as we were there for a wedding and would be away from the property the majority of the time. Also there seemed to be a caretaker that would show up at the property with out prior notice from the property manager, at one point when discussing the Wi-Fi issue with the appointed team online he showed up with a key for a cupboard. We were not told he was appointed to do so, then the next day he took a ladder to climb into our back garden while we were in the property again with out any notice. This behavior made us feel very uncomfortable and as though the property was not being professionally managed and it felt unsafe as we had no idea what else he had keys too. The property also is listed as accessible to two cars. We parked both cars on the property so that we could use either car, only to be met outside by the neighbor yelling at my husband we were parked incorrectly and needed to remove our vehicle immediately. My husband’s vehicle was apparently over the property line by a few feet that did not seem to impact the other property but because of this incident we had to park our cars so one blocked in the other after a few days of having to move both cars every time we needed to leave or come back for the night, leading to us leaving one car at a near by family members business to ensure we could get in and out of the property. There were other issues with the cot we requested, it was too large to fit into the children’s room so we had to move furniture to ensure it would be safe. There were no children’s cups bowl plates or utensils. Everything was porcelain or glass. We had to go out and buy things for our children to eat and drink from.

Lovely place, lots of great walks right out of the door. Nice accommodation with en suite facilities.

The house was lovely, set in a beautiful quiet location, with friendly neighbours too. The garden was perfect for our puppy to enjoy, along with fantastic walks right on the doorstep. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will keep it on the list for a return visit in the future. Thank you.

This was our second stay at this cosy property. The house is really comfortable and well laid out. The surrounding area is stunning and perfect for dog walkers. The enclosed garden is beautiful and we spent many hours watching the garden birds and odd rabbit or two! We will definitely be booking again in the near future.

Accommodation was excellent; only downside was the access lane which was badly rutted and full of potholes.
