We had a lovely stay at The Stables while at a wedding nearby, a beautiful place to stay

A really lovely place for a couple of nights to enable my elderly parents to go to a wedding. Ann was great at communicating beforehand and accommodating small changes we had to our booking. Would highly recommend - thank you

Would definitely stay again. We all enjoyed our stay. Hosts were exceptional. Positive: Facilities were excellent. Warm and welcoming reception from hosts. Everything you needed was available. Beautiful scenery, very quiet and peaceful. Great setup. Good off road parking for two cars. Very comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Excellent location for attending a family wedding at Grangefields Barn wedding venue. Negative: All was perfect.

I booked the property for 2 guys who were staying for work purposes. Communication was great and all checkin details were received in a timely manager. I understand that everything was good with their stay.

Ann and Alastair were perfect hosts. They were attentive and helpful, but also very respectful of our privacy. The house was beautiful and provided a perfect retreat for our annual group meet-up.

We travelled here for a 30th birthday! It was beautiful and exactly as described! It was absolutely spotless! The interior was something we all particularly loved! Both hosts were really helpful and responsive and gave us lots of recommendations! Perfect for a relaxing weekend away! Would definitely recommend!

I stayed with my husband and two children for a couple of nights and we had a lovely relaxing time. Lovely walks on your door step and Alton Towers a short drive away. Very clean and homely.

This is a MUST STAY if you are looking in this area. The property was stunning and absolutely spotless. You really felt at home instantly. Every area of the property was incredible and the wood burner just adds to the stay. We traveled with our 2 year old and it couldn’t have been a better experience for us. Everything inside the property is modern and setting is just perfect. We would recommend this accommodation to everyone. 10/10!

We had a lovely stay at The Stable. Ann the host was really helpful with extra directions and instructions for getting into the property and local recommendations. The Cow pub is great for a Sunday roast x The property was clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely outside space too. I would definitely come back if visiting the area xx

Absolutely loved our stay! The property was lovely, beautifully presented, and finished to a really high standard. Just wow! An absolutely idyllic location, a well furnished-modern home and nothing more we could of asked for. The stable itself is perfect, with comfortable beds, every amenity possible and is presented beautifully. The balcony doors in one of the bedrooms and the view is to die for. Located in amidst lots of fields with nothing but sheep around you, it is the perfect place to relax. We headed out for an “unplugged” weekend and got exactly what we asked for. You feel safe, comfortable and right at home. They leave a very detailed guestbook and lots of recommendations on what to do. You are surrounded by the beauty of Derbyshire and the Peak District. You don’t have to spend money to enjoy your trip away as there are plenty of walks to do. You have access to a lovely garden area, where you can watch the sun set over the hill and it is just magical. We would highly recommend this property, its hosts and everything about them. We will definitely be back!

What are lovely & clean modern house in a beautiful scenic area. We made a home cooked birthday meal for our daughter & had everything we needed in their well equipped kitchen. Ann & Alistair were are such great & friendly hosts. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for a short break, we stayed whilst visiting the area for a wedding. House was immaculate and perfect for what we needed. Lovely views to wake up to as a bonus!

We’ve just had a wonderful stay at The Stables and honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, Ann made us feel so welcome and was an amazing host throughout. Before we even arrived, she was incredibly helpful with recommendations on places to eat locally, which was really appreciated. We were attending a wedding nearby and in a last-minute panic I realised I’d forgotten my wrap. Ann went out of her way to help me find a local shop, which was such a kind gesture and above and beyond what you’d expect from a host. The accommodation itself was absolutely 5 star. Everything you could possibly need was provided and the whole place was beautifully designed and very tasteful. The two bedrooms were perfectly matched, each with its own stunning ensuite, which worked brilliantly for us. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all had a fantastic night’s sleep.

Lovely place, countryside location with modern facilities. They should mention the Tassimo coffee machine so you can bring some pods with you and also mention the EV charging point as its a great selling point as well.

We stayed here for 2 nights as it was perfectly located for Alton Towers, and we honestly had the best time. The place was absolutely spotless, beautifully modern, and filled with natural light, while still feeling really cosy and welcoming. The owners have created such a special space. Our kids absolutely loved the animals next door and the open fields , it made the whole stay even more magical for them. Communication was clear and seamless throughout, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. The location is ideal, with great access to both Alton Towers and Manchester. We’d 100% recommend this place to friends and family, anyone staying here is guaranteed to make amazing memories.

Out Host Ann was great, good communication throughout, had a small issue with Vac and she brought a replacement straight over. The accommodation was just as advertised and everything was spotless. Lots of everything in the kitchen which is always great and three nice sized TVs along with good WiFi. Perfect location for my Daughters wedding at Grangefields Barn just up the road. Would certainly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Stable. The accommodation was very clean and modern. The hosts were very attentive and friendly. It was a good location to visit surrounding areas, we visited Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Derwent Dam and Ashbourne during our stay. I would highly recommend The Stable to anyone who would like to explore the Peak District.

This is a lovely cottage in a quiet setting near fantastic walks in Derbyshire. Recently renovated and spotlessly clean. Great wood burning stove. The only thing that was confusing was communication about arrival with both a management company and the owners. The former sent key code on our leaving day!

Lovely modern property in peaceful surroundings. Very comfortable beds and clean and spacious throughout. Need a car to get around local area but not far from great pubs! The Horseshoes on Long Lane is a must! Friendly hosts who met us at the property and checked in to ensure everything was okay. Lovely little welcome tray in the kitchen and all equipment was provided! Would be careful in bathrooms if you are tall as sloping ceilings may cause an issue! Al in all great property for a relaxing break
