Beautifully presented apartment. Ideal for a couple . Comfortable, warm, very clean, well equipped, secure and central for cafes, pubs and shops. Would highly recommend. We had a lovely few days stay . Visited Holy Island , walked to Bamburgh along the beach ( check tide times) and even joined in the quiz at the Ocean Caravan site on Tuesday evening. 😊. Thank you for a lovely break.

Once we had managed to negotiate the access, we found the location and facilities in the flat suited us well.
Ideal place for us to stay whilst we travelled around the local countryside. Apartment was pristine with lots of modern appliances.

Very central and well equipped, lots of stairs though! Positive: It was very well furnished and equipped, very comfortable and clean. Tastefully decorated and lots of appliances and dishes etc - very clean it to properly self cater here. Excellent location and parking was great. The bed was comfortable and bedroom had black out blinds which was brilliant. We could just about catch a glimpse of the sea over the rooftops, I think because of the way the apartment was advertised, we were expecting an actual sea view! Nevertheless, it was so close to everything, including the sea, that it only took minutes to get anywhere. Negative: The lift wasn’t working and this had been an integral reason we’d booked, I phoned and double checked there was a lift before booking as I have a disability. The lift had been not working for some weeks however we were not told about this before our arrival. We reported it immediately however it was not even looked at during our stay despite chasing. Numerous times. This impacted my stay considerably due to the 4 flights of stairs, meaning it was difficult to go in and out and whilst staff were prompt and courteous in responding, nothing was resolved and we were offered nothing to try to make our stay better. During our stay, I noticed the listing has now been amended to say ‘stairs only access to the upper floors’. This was not the case when we booked. As someone else has mentioned, the main view from the balcony is over the bins and car park of the hotel in front which is a little noisy/busy/brightly lit. There was very little information about the local area, local facilities, places to visit in the apartment. There was no information about recycling - how, what and where - it simply said to empty the bin when full and follow local instruction re recycling- there were none.
The apartment is beautiful, very well presented and had everything we needed. A great location for exploring up and down the coast and for a trip to the Inner Farne islands.

Had a fantastic time in this part of England Positive: Beautiful well appointed and furnished .spotlessly clean and everything you kneed .It is in the heart of Seahouses next to shops and restaurants.we found it a great base to explore Northumberland which has beautiful beaches and scenic landscape ,and amazing castles and History Negative: Nothing
Our stay at The Shipshape was excellent. The property certainly lived up to the description and photos on the website. The hosts had really thought of every possible comfort. There was nothing we could think of that could improve on the apartment. The parking space and lift were a welcome addition. Would really recommend a stay here and we will be back when we come up this way again.

Hosts were very accommodating, it was a home from home, plush and sumptuous furnishings with lots of added touches. Will definitely be back!\nWalk to Bamburgh was stunning along the beach too.\nWe wrapped up against the bracing January weather. \nPlenty of games and tv channels too to keep us occupied when it snowed and hailed!
