Positive: We have stayed in Glaisdale previously and loved it. We love the location of the property and how spacious it is. The beds are so comfy and everything is so clean. It really feels like a home from home. We would not hesitate to stay again. Negative: Not a dislike but feel a oven would be a perfect addition. We only had one toilet roll for two days which would have been fine but both children came down with runny noses!

Beautifully presented apartment by in a brilliant location. Fabulous time had by all. Positive: The apartment was beautifully clean and well presented. Negative: Perhaps a little bit of a noisy location for small children due to the pub opposite. Although this did not bother us.

Great location and good sized accommodation The location is perfect, however a little loud at the weekends with the pub just across the road, so not ideal with young children and early nights. The accommodation is modern and has everything you would need, except it would have useful to know the fridge does not have a freezer compartment which we needed to freeze ice packs for my daughters medical storage on our return home. The apartment was very clean with exception to the kitchen. The fridge and sink seemed to have been missed and we had to clean these ourselves before use. The property is easy to access and as long as you have respectful neighbours its a lovely base for your holiday. We did have a night or two with noisy people above, banging around. I would still recommend this property but not necessarily to famlies with younger children.

Good "bolt-hole" in the centre of Whitby. Not suitable for a family in hindsight as there is no bath, no oven, and the stairs to the apartment are very steep for little legs. Mistake on me as I clearly didn't read the fine print. This would be great for couples or for families with older kids. The little angel pub is opposite and they have live music Saturday nights, which was deafening until 1am.

Positive: Ideal location but wud try and book the Glaisdale apartment nxt time coz it's only first floor and my partner is partially sighted Negative: Wud ov Preferred 2 double bed rooms

Nice place Positive: Light and airy apartment, lovely and clean. Beds comfortable. Negative: Didn't realise the apartment was on the second floor, too many steps when you have Osteoarthritis in the knee department. Plus we had an 84 year old with us.

cracking place to stay Positive: clean tidy and modern apartment . in a great location . well equipped for a family or couples . Negative: the door codes were a bit of a pain until you got used to them

Awesome stay here Positive: The whole apartment was exceptional from bathroom bedroom livingroom How could you not e joy staying in this beautiful apartment. Negative: For me the stairs but thats no reflection on the apartment which was exceptional.

Clean, comfortable, and close to everything we wanted to see. Positive: The open plan living space was functional. Had a great few nights sleep in the very comfortable beds. Heating was efficient. Bathroom and shower was lovely. Once we mastered the keypad entry, it was very easy and secure. Negative: No oven. Maybe an air fryer would be a good idea instead.

Pretty Little Unit Close to All Amenities Positive: Lovely clean property in prime location to reach the harbour and seaside. Host was very proactive in check in information and the property guide was very helpful Negative: I definitely wouldn’t call this a 3 person 2 bed property as the two single beds were jammed so close together if I rolled over I was touching my friend in the other bed. Zero storage in this room too for cases or clothes so we had to all use the master bedroom to get ready. Stairs are much steeper and narrower than anticipated which was difficult to manoeuvre with suitcases

Lovely apartment but not suitable if you have mobility issues Positive: Lovely central apartment, good size beds comfy and very good size living area. Value for money and easy self check in. Negative: There should be information that this is not suitable for mobility issues. There was 2 in out party with mobility issues we really struggled with all the stairs and would not have booked it if we would have known, there should have been information stating this isn't suitable for mobility issues it very wrong no to state this. I live in a bungalow as I can't do stairs so this was a shock and such a struggle. The apartment was up 3 flights of winding stairs. There was no hand rail either on entering the building up a few stairs. Very noisy from neighbours above sounded like they was in our apartment. Really loud music from pup opposite. The living area and kitchen hadn't been clean tables full of dust. Kitchen splash back was not cleaned.

As described, great location but up two flights of stairs which may be difficult for some guests. Clean and simply interior. All essentials provided, for point of improvement provide more than 1 toilet roll and more body wash (only 1 sachet of over 100ml).

Positive: The apartment was nice and spacious Negative: We could have done with an oven or air fryer to cook a meal. The Saturday night we were kept awake until early hours due to extreme noise from the pub across the road as they had a rock band on.

Great location Positive: Loved the location and the size of the apartment. A couple of minutes walk from the seafront and 5mins to the swing bridge. Electric fans provided. Tea towel, tea bags etc, milk sachets, washing up liquid, cloths, soap, towels all provided. Negative: We didn't realise there was no oven. Parking for free is a 10min walk away. You can actually park right outside the apartment for 1 hour using the disc system (or leave a piece of paper displaying what time you arrived in clear view). This always you to unload the car. Several stairs upto the Brunswick apartment, might be a problem if you have walking difficulties.

Great location, in walking distance to everything. However it is on a steep hill, this may be an issue for some. We could hear a lot of noise from others walking around in the building. As well as noise from outside bars close by. Unavoidable but something to be aware of.

Perfect spot for Whitby weekend Positive: Location. Clean. Facilities. Negative: Parking- but not the fault of the property !- but there’s plenty you just need to walk 10 mins

An overall great break in the Runswick & Brunswick apartment Positive: Very central and easy to find. Good modern facilities. Negative: Could have been a little cleaner. I appreciate there a quick turnaround but I did expect it to be cleaner. Carpets hadn’t been vacuumed, there were sticky marks on work surfaces and the table in the front room and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and walls. However getting past that the apartment was comfortable and modern with good facilities

We stayed with friends over the May Bank Holiday and we would definitely stay again. lovely flat, however, no spare toilet roll in the accommodation so for four people you may want to take additional depending on the length of your stay.

The apartment was easy to find and access straight forward. If you are less mobile the hills and steps may be a struggle. The apartment wasn’t spotless, but it was clean enough. The shower was nice, beds comfortable, TVs great. Noisy neighbourhood up until late and again from 7am. Happy with our stay.

problematic Positive: The property was located in the centre which was a bonus, however most lets appear to be located there. Negative: a lot! trying to get into the property was a nightmare. the code given has a symbol after the numbers and this didn't exist on the panel. once we managed to get in we had constant issues with the front door and thought we would never get into the property at times. It really ruined our holiday as we dreaded going out in case we couldn't get back in. I phoned in the first instance, host and stay, however the person didn't appear to speak English and the property is noise outside so that was a complete waste of time. We were still on the front door step! I chose then to email and had a few responses back, once inside. none were useful. They told us the code, which we knew. We asked for the code for the key safe as we had tried the door code on that and it didnt work. More than 24 hours later they informed us they couldn't give us the code? I would never use them again.

We loved our stay, location was great, love the apartment just needed some TLC on the cleaning, I would definitely go a Positive: Location was great, property was nice. Negative: It looked like the beds had been made but wasn’t clean, was dusty, snickers wrapper on the floor, vape on the couch, surfaces not wiped down, dropped something down the side of the 2nd bedroom and all the skirtings were filthy. The stairs and hallway needed a good clean and dust. And had a problem getting in, took us a few phone calls to no avail, as they said it should work but didn’t, we went back the third time for one last try and it worked.

Great property, clean, comfortable and close to the centre Positive: Loved the location and the apartment was very comfortable and clean. Have stayed here before and would again. Negative: As there is no oven the property could do with an air fryer and I think the instructions need to make clear that the keypad to the right of the front door is not part of accessing the main door. Once you realise the blacked out digital lock on the front door is how to get in it is all straightforward. Also this is our second stay yet nothing has been done about the lack of a handrail by the front door steps. This makes accessing for older people more difficult and would be a great addition. Otherwise all was great.

Nice property, poor management Positive: Proximity to the promenade, 5 minutes walk from the train station. The property is in great condition and with the necessary basics. Negative: Cleanliness was not up to standard. Dirty towels, food on the carpet, and kitchen countertop with stains. I contacted Host and Stay, and they sent the usual complaint form via email, which I haven't been bothered to complete as I booked with this property management company 3 times, and each time, I had problems. Avoid booking with them if you can.

Positive: Beautiful apartment in an excellent location. Zero complaints by anyone in the group. We definitely plan on coming again!

Positive: Good location and helpful staff. Free parking was available within 10 min walking distance. Negative: A security deposit of 250 pounds had to be paid before arrival via an online provider. This includes a 10 pounds non refundable fee, which is in contradiction to the description. The deposit is refunded after 14 days.

Positive: Cannot fault it in any other way , the only problem we had was the touchscreen for the code but once we had mastered that it was ok , great for amenities although the walk uphill to it was a work out 😅 lovely place

The Runswick in Whitby, a lovely space! Positive: The apartment was excellent, beautifully clean, spacious, attractive, and well-appointed with everything you could want. A huge, tiled shower room,with plenty of fluffy bathtowels etc and master bedroom with tv, and ample 2nd bedroom with 2 singles, a huge, light living space, with modern kitchen, mood lighting and comfy sofas. It's positioned near the centre, a bit of a hill but accessible for the harbour, shops, restaurants and bars. It's really good. Negative: A little difficult to find, situated on a nasty bend, but once located, we unpacked the car and parked up on a nearby car park. The apartment is top of the building, 3 short flights, so a little difficult for the less mobile, and a hand rail needed for the entrance steps, it's not a deal breaker, but worth mentioning.

Excellent flat in the centre if Whitby Positive: Excellent location. Good size apartment. No parking for the flat but I did manage to get a free parking 6 min walk away on Spring Vale but it seems to always be busy. Car parks are an expensive option if you plan to spend all the time in the town and have no need to drive. Negative: The dressing table in the master bedroom needed a wipe. Plus I think the communal staircase needs a clean. Flat has no oven so keep that in mind if plan to buy food from a supermarket.

Amazing stay in and amazing town Positive: Location is absolutely perfect! The apartment was furnished/finished to a high standard and was really cosy for 4 of us. Negative: Entry to the apartments could be simplified if I'm being honest, we found it a bit confusing due to a keypad and keybox on the outside of the building.

Fair Positive: Location excellent. Parking poor. No hot water from Sunday evening through to Monday, so 4 adults unable to shower on Monday morning Negative: No parking permits ie scratch cards

Positive: Very clean and modern in a great location. Negative: The toilet was continually running, wasting water and being a bit noisy. It also took until the last day of our stay to get any hot water in the shower which wasn’t great.

Positive: Superb apartment in a ideal position.

Enjoyable, comfortable, not suitable for people with mobility problems Positive: clean comfortable and very well decorated. Negative: Noisy at times due to being a middle floor apartment, in the centre of town. Not suitable for anybody with knee or hip problems due to the amount of stairs in the building, also building is situated up a hill in the centre of Whitby. Whitby has a severe parking problem, only able to park outside the building once in four days.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Runswick. The flat is lovely and well presented. The location is ideal to discover Whitby and 5 minutes walking from Restaurants and shops.

Walker stay Positive: Location, spacious apartment, facility Negative: Hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. Very noisy from apartment above. Like herd of elephants til very late. No drying facility. Door lock from street posed a bit of an issue. No freezer

Positive: Fantastische locatie. Prachtig mooi, groot en schoon (keurig!) appartement. Negative: Er is geen echte eettafel dat was even een beetje wennen. En boven ons zaten wat onrustig trappelende kids maar verder echt top!

I would definitely recommend the property to friends. Negative: The mattress of the double bed felt like it was on a slope and I think it was also a double. A king size would have been better.

Negative: Parking tricky and regulations unclear (despite having emailed for info in advance, info was vague and incomplete, resulting in me getting a parking ticket during the 10 mins I was unloading my case). There was a bit of noise from the pub opposite. Second twin bedroom very small.

Positive: Very clean and comfortable and in an ideal position. Negative: Nothing I didnt like although had a little trouble getting in to ground floor door as instructions didnt say to also touch lock symbol on key pad.

Brilliant. Positive: Location was excellent and the apartment was spotless. Negative: The only problem was noise from the apartment above. Sounded like an elephant was constantly jumping about up there.

fantastic Whitby apartment 😁 Positive: Amazing location. Super spec, cosy and warm and really comfy beds. lovely pub opposite, sherlocks cafe and cake shop just down the road and amazing roast pork sandwich shop just a little further. Parking in the harbour is just a 5 min walk. you can get a parking disc from the deli up the road/ or just inside the apartment in a basket. so you can park outside the apartment for an hour for free while you unload your bags. host always in contact and answer questions immediately. would it hesitate to come back to this home away from home again! thanks xxxx Negative: Nothing at all! it was perfect (for people who complain about the noise of seagulls, what do you expect your at the seaside) and with the extra glazing you can barely hear them.

What a great and central location! The apartment itself is great and very newly refurbished to a very high level. Just a note, there’s no oven but they have provided an electric grill. We stayed as a family of 4 and it was perfect really. The wifi is strong and fast (I still had it in Emma’s Diner down the road) and it has everything a modern family could need.

Perfect location A fantastic apartment in a perfect location, only a short walk from the centre close to all amenities. We had a lovely long weekend in Whitby.

Negative: Code for door an absolute nightmare, the second night it was jammed and wouldn’t release the key

Things I like to know before going anywhere… hairdryer is provided, iron and board, sufficient hangers for clothes, coffee, tea, sugar etc (even a small milk in fridge ready for arrival cuppas) towels, toiletries, cleaning products were all provided. The apartment was very clean and in a great location. Located up either a short steep hill or a longer less steep hill depending on route taken, and then up a few flights of stairs (with handrails) prepare to have a little work out each day. Super central though and lovely cafes and shops around. More expensive than Whitby hotels but the apartment meant my young daughter had her own room to use, she fell asleep so well each night so that says a lot for how comfy and secure the apartment felt to her. Although it was right next to a pub there was no trouble with noise outside. A comfortable lovely stay.

Amazing from start to finish Positive: The property is easily located and is ideally situated in Whitby .. close enough to the resort but far enough away to be quiet at night. Negative: The property itself was faultless .. however the door system was a little tricky at times but a good system, just a little awkward for my limited abilities 😉

Great apartment, very clean and modern. Milk, coffee, tea and sugar supplied which was nice. Perfect location to explore Whitby. Parking for drop off right outside, and free parking up the road, a few mins walk back.
