Lovely comfortable place to stay very close to everything on offer in Masham. Positive: Warm bright and comfortable property in excellent location in Masham. Brewery and pub a few yards away and excellent footpath across fields for dog walking. Everything required was provided ! Negative: Was a little tricky to find !

Masham is a beautiful place and the flat was ideally located to access the wider Nidderdale AONB. Clean, bright and well presented property that catered for all our needs. Only one minor point that didn’t cause us massive issues being it is a ground floor flat with property’s above for those pets that are noise sensitive. Parking/access is to the rear of the building. Fond memories, great break.

Great place to stay location wise. Place suited us, 2 adults, 1 child & a dog very well. It was clean & tidy when we arrived.

A comfortable enjoyable short break Positive: Great location and plenty of space for a family of 4. Easy to walk into Masham, close to the coop and next door to the Black Sheep brewery. We really liked the light that came through the master bedroom window in the mornings. Negative: Wet dog smell on arrival. Unclear if due to dogs or the wet cleaning cloth that had been left in water in the washing up bowl in the kitchen sink. We had to open the windows to air the property

Great location with everything you need. Positive: Perfect location for us to use as a base, short drives to other parts of the dales that we love. Can't get better than being next door to the black sheep brewery. Having 2 children with us, we spent our nights watching a film or playing games in the living room but the sofa wasn't very comfortable for longer than 20 minutes being sat on it. The photo showed an electric fire but there wasn't one when we arrived, this property would get a 10 if it had a more comfortable sofa and an open fire/log burner to add that coziness, although we weren't cold, the heating was on a timer and it was warm enough in the apartment. The property had everything we needed and was well equipped. Negative: We could hear every footstep from the people above and most evenings it sounded like they were trying to get their 10,000 steps in.

Great apartment - ideal for 3 people or a well organised family of 4 for a short break in this lovely and cosy place. Very clean and everything you’d need. Literally next door to the Black Sheep Brewery and bar - this is no bad thing.

Once settled in we enjoyed our stay, including a Christmas Eve meal at the local Kings Head. Positive: In eventum bypassing Host & Stay’s accidental damage demands, I accidentally caused minor breakage of which I informed the owner and offered to pay. In the Christmas spirit of goodwill, he simply said “Forget it; accidents happen”. Parking was good within a private gated yard. The accommodation itself was of a very good standard, nice and clean, and tasteful. The kitchen was good and well stocked (a casserole dish would improve). The conventional over was good (a power switch on the corridor wall), and had a cooker hood – my spouse & I found it useful after we underestimated the grill! The small fridge was good. Tucked away nicely behind a door, there was also a microwave and, we were pleased to discover, a small freezer although it was clogged with ice – it quickly defrosted. If you need a mirror, the accommodation had plenty! It was also well stocked with USBA ports – I didn’t notice a USBC port. The living area was good, and had some games and local bumph. The TV screen was good, but for my part I’d like to see the GBNews app installed. The bedroom was nice, with sufficient space for luggage, and had good lighting. The bathroom was fine. Negative: I vehemently objected to what I felt was a last-minute rip-off attempt by Host & Stay, informing me that whether or not accidental damage occurred, either we must deposit £200 and get back £10 (a so-called Admin charge), or give them £25 and get back nowt. IMO Host & Stay should have annual accidental insurance, and not make that an extra mandatory tab over and above the contract rental agreed. Is it hidden in their T&C’s? Are they simply being dishonest? It tempted me to give a one-star rating. The actual property, not to be confused with The Dairy, which is the floor above and accessed from the north side, is accessed from the south side, and carparking is via wooden gates into a private courtyard. Google Maps was a bit misleading as to location. The bathroom lacked a nightlight: if you walk in the night you might prefer to take your own torch, to hitting the light switch – rather a blinding light in the wee hours. You might also wish to give the loo a second flush – shall we say a bit of hard stuff sometimes fell back down the chimney? The outside door lock was HIGHLY problematic, and daily we could spend several frustrating minutes trying to lock it, whether from the inside or from the outside. My wife had the better touch, but I did succeed at times. That was my big hate.

Lovely 'home from home' for small family Positive: Perfect having a 'home away from home' for our baby's first holiday. Lots of amenities and enough space to bring everything else we needed. Negative: A bit fussy but partner found the beds a little uncomfortable. Also, not specific to the property, but, it is worth noting that there are two pubs right beside property which would have been ideal for food but they were constantly booked up! So guests wanting to visit them should be aware of booking in days before.

Cosy, modern, well equipped, great location - a perfect place to stay, we will definitely go back! Positive: The location was perfect for all the amenities, especially the Breweries! The cottage was very cosy, modern and had everything you needed to feel like you were home from home. The central heating was so easy to regulate which is great to meet everyone's needs. Negative: Nothing

Cosy place to stay We spent a few days in this property over Christmas. It was very clean, comfortable and warm. There were even some lovely Christmas decorations which was a thoughtful touch. Would definitely return to this property . O

Comfortable and tidy with all the amenities you require within accommodation. Great walking country and some are accessible from your doorstep. Only downside for us was, if you arrive on a Monday or Tuesday evening it is impossible to get an evening meal out, locally. Local pub does meals but you have to book – be warned.

Positive: Great location, and very comfortable stay! Was like a home from home. The addition of some board games kept the teenagers entertained in the evenings and gave us a chance to enjoy some family time without the usual gadgets to get distracted by 🙂 (ie PlayStation etc) Very secure parking behind lockable courtyard gates (not that you would have to worry in masham) Negative: Was very awkward finding the actual accomadation...... there are a couple of other properties in the facility called the old dairy cottages which confused things, where as the old dairy is actually down the slope behind large courtyard gates. Would've been helpful if this was explained in getting to the property but we got there in the end after speaking yo a very helpful local and a Host & Stay rep on the phone.

Super schöner Aufenthalt Positive: Die Wohnung ist wie auf den Bildern beschrieben wunderschön. Es ist alles zum täglichen Leben vorhanden. Besonders der Herd ist super Klasse, wir haben ihn geliebt. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. (2 Erwachsene, 2 Teenager,). Von hieraus kann man gut in alle Himmelsrichtungen fahren und schöne Dinge sehen und Erinnerungen schaffen. Wir würden es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen Bei den Problem mit der Haustür wegen des verriegeln einfach Klinke nach oben (siehe Bild )und anschließen. Wenn man es weiß, super einfach. Wegen der Anfahrt einfach dem Bild unten folgen, dass war's..

Positive: Location Cottage was beautiful clean cool and comfortable

All together a lovely stay and would defiantly recommed and we will be returning again Positive: The property was really comfy,really homely and very quiet the equipment that was more then substantial also the furniture was really well set out and all together a really nice place to say Negative: The main issue that i found was that the address to the OLD DAIRY was incorrect and the pin we was provided was really incorrect so finding the place was really hard initially. The main door could have done with a curtain to block the light out and the room with the 2X single beds could have done with a darker curtain.

Excellent, very well positioned in a lovely village. Positive: Clean, very well equipped and in an excellent, central position. Negative: Nothing…perhaps a cafeteria instead of a machine that requires a degree in engineering!!

Our stay in Masham Positive: Great location, fully equipped kitchen including dish washer. Secure and good parking. Excellent heating. Negative: Couldn’t find the property in the dark and had to ring for help, took more than one hour to find it even we were very close. Property definitely not very clean , lots of dust and hairs on floor. I mopped it to feel more comfortable. Bent in bathroom needs a clean and the outdoor area feels unloved. Bed a little too small, deadly step up to living area. Floor feels very cold. Front door hard to lock .

A lovely little property Positive: The Old Dairy is in a little gated courtyard right next to the Black Sheep Brewery. It has plenty of parking and was reasonably easy to find. The flat is very cosy and comfortable. I found the decor very pleasing and welcoming. The kitchen was well laid out and provided with a good selection of crockery etc. There were board games in the coffee table and even binoculars provided. All little touches to make you feel welcome. Negative: Couldn't find any spare loo roll in any cupboard so had to buy some, but no big deal. As you can probably tell I was wracking my brain to come up with something here

Great apartment for visiting Masham as only around 5 minutes walk away. Positive: Great location right next to Black Sheep brewery and the White Bear which had great food. Roomy and private parking with plenty of space. Good facilities. Negative: Smelt a bit damp when we went in so don’t think it had been used for a while. Some noise from upstairs.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the old dairy, it was clean, modern equipment, idel for our needs. Positive: The property was in a good location for our needs, parking was very good, it was as expected from the listing. Negative: awkward to find, noisy from people above.

Would definitely stay in such a lovely property again when visiting Masham. Positive: Spotless and comfortable with all amenities provided. The bed was superb and and the flat was beautifully presented. We highly recommend such a lovely property to one and all and with Masham and the Black Sheep Brewery on your doorstop who could ask for more. 😁

Beautiful holiday cottage! Positive: The location was just behind the brewery which was perfect as our event was at the brewery. It was modern and light and exactly what we needed! The keys were easily accessible and we had everything that we could need.

This booking requires you to do an additional identity verification step which involves sending your ID to a third party company to do ID checks. I had not heard of this other company and so I do not know how trustworthy they are or what their data protection is like. I think this should have been clear on the listing. Once you book this property they do all the communication outside the AirBnb website with their own system which I thought was not as good and adds confusion, the location they send only as a map pin which didn't work for us so we had to call for written directions which took some time as the call center are not familiar with all the properties. The cottage was fine and as described - if a little sterile and corporate in the way it is decorated & managed.

very nice place to stay but very difficult to find after a long drive as only given Google maps location, so after wandering around worried and stressed out I had to ring the company only to be told to go down the bank..it should have clearly stated that property is hidden behind heavy brown gates so hope this helps others who visit. This property is hosted by a company that requires verification details through another company called superhog which require passport details which I refused to give but still got several emails. Apart from these problems Masham is a lovely place with a nice market and friendly bay hotel pub

Lovely little property, tucked away in a courtyard just next to the Black Sheep brewery. Nice and quiet just off the high street. Perfect if you’re traveling with a four legged friend. The property is well equipped with everything you need for a home from home stay. The property is cleaned to a high standard. Beds are very comfortable with quality pillows and bedding.. We will return and would recommend this property to friends and family.

We enjoyed our break. Positive: Location was great for the town, just a short walk and right next to the back entrance to the Black Sheep Brewery. We ate in the bistro there for 2 nights - great food, lovely atmosphere and dog friendly. Nice little apartment with everything we needed for a short break. Visited Ripon, Bedale, Richmond, Ripley and Harrogate amongst others. Negative: On the last night a very noisy group arrived in the property above and it felt like I was at a rave all night - obviously not the owners fault but we were shattered the next morning. Masham is very pretty but there's not much in the town itself - you do need to be into walking or drive out and about.

A perfect home from home.

The most beautiful home from home. We’ve just spent 3 nights here & it was perfect from start to finish. We loved it the moment we arrived. The photos really don’t do it justice. The location is perfect & couldn’t be more central (80 metres from Black Sheep Brewery- which my husband was very happy with!) . We’re already looking at when we can return! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Nice little cottage close to the centre of Masham

I great location to make the most of Masham. Right near the brewery and a great pub. Easy access to the town square and river walks. Recommended.
