we were staying here with our two young kids so the cleanliness left something to be desired. my boys are 3 and 1, so they are constantly dropping things and putting them back into their mouths, this was a problem. Had I come here before kids I'm sure I would have been happy, but it needs greater care and attention, and regular maintenance.

Fab location, near to station, shops, nightlife and seafront. Had a lovely weekend away with our small family. Would definitely recommend.

Good value, basic and cosy, great location For 728 for four nights in June this place was pretty good value given the location, you could easily spend quite a lot more for a place in Brighton. With that in mind I think it was great value, the place is not huge and is quite basic, but the photos on the listing are a good representation.One thing to bear in mind is that the second bedroom is entered via the first bedroom - so you'll want to be good friends if you're using all the beds.The only issue we had is that the glasses, cutlery, and crockery weren't very clean. This is presumably down to the previous guests, but for the 99 cleaning fee I would have liked the dishes to be clean.We also discovered that the washing machine was faulty, and repeatedly stopped during the cycle - we ended up having to use a laundrette after rescuing our soaking clothes. The host said this would be fixed, but wasn't during our stay. If you're looking to use the washer then I'd suggest first checking with the host that it has been fixed.

Dale’s place was very easy to find, a central location and was found as described. Everything was clean and tidy and the price point felt fair.

It was perfectly located, a short walk from the conference venue(Brighton Dome) which made my trip really convenient. The space was the right size for my needs as a single traveller: clean, and comfortable with simple access instructions. I'd definitely stay here again for another work trip or visit to the area.

Amazing location and a perfect size for a few friends, however wasn’t well stocked with basics like loo roll, kitchen soap and tea towels etc and didn’t seem freshly cleaned upon arrival unfortunately

Very disappointing Positive: cute little place - loved the shampoo, loo roll offered. Great location Negative: the bath shower is unsafe and there were no racks in the oven, no slip matt and I fell and banged my head and hurt my foot. Popcorn and a rock on the sofa. The link doesn’t get you to the property the address does. Parking near the property is only for cars we had to go the one further away. They need coffee provided as well. Bedrooms very close together and the far bedroom means you have to walk through the other bedroom.

Great location and cosy little cottage - good space for the two of us, might be a bit tight for more but enjoyed our stay - everything we needed and beds were really comfy!

As described, well-maintained cottage accomodation in a convenient location. It would be useful if some basics (washing-up liquid, tea, coffee etc) were supplied but otherwise, it was a good base for our weekend in Brighton and we would happily stay here again.

Excellent, all our needs in Brighton were met. Positive: The location was excellent, close to the railway station and only about 5 minutes to the beach. The freedom of our own small home in Brighton was great, as we could come and go as we pleased. The small town house was perfect for our needs, as we were three adults. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds comfortable. The house was clean and atmospheric. The price was reasonable compared to two double rooms in a hotel. We could either self cater or eat out with plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby.

Location is fantastic. It’s close to town, the station, the seafront and the wonderful Basketmakers Arms. The cottage has a good basic selection of equipment

I stayed here as it is around the corner from my house whilst I had renovations done. To summarise my experience I would say: Do not under any circumstances book a stay with Host and Stay. Firstly, although tidy, the toilet, bath and kitchen had not been cleaned - a faeces smear in toilet bowl! Outside table filthy Dishes and glasses on drainer. Impersonal and inflexible service using automated responses and AI, stuck in a perpetual loop of stock responses. Basic decor lacking in the details one would expect for the price. Clearly been left to run into the ground by the anonymous management, presumably unbeknownst to the owner. Flaking paint in bathroom (possible damp issue) suggesting lack of attention to detail. Many of these issues had been raised in previous reviews so don’t believe their AI bot when the replies that say they ‘take matters seriously’ and they are ‘sorry for the inconvenience’ This was a real shame as it’s a potentially beautiful property.

While the location was great and it was good for a weekend, the cleanliness upon arrival was left to be desired. Nail polish stains all over the bedsheets, leftover crumbs and water in the sink, dirty bathtub, many spiderwebs and dusty and humid overall, it was sub par cleaning considering the price paid.

The house is in a great area, close to everywhere yet really quiet located along a small alley. The checkin was super easy and parking just opposite. The size of the house is more than adequate, though you do walk through one bedroom to get to the second bedroom and the bathroom is downstairs. It is very cosy and a nice space to be in. It was let down by the cleanliness - the floors were very dirty, washing up was left drying on the side of the kitchen, the drains were smelly, the outside table and floor was filthy, the shower temperature option wasnt working and shower head had alot of limescale. Had I have been staying longer than 2 nights I would have bought some cleaning items and done a deep clean to make it a bit more comfortable. I did buy a new washing up sponge as the one at the home was not pleasant. Also whoever made the beds, it looks like they jumped on them afterwards. :) But even with the cleanliness issues, the home was still comfortable and a nice place to stay.

We arrived and the place was dirty. One of the duvets had wine stains, cups were unwashed, stained and chipped, floor was dirty and windows were not dusted and full of webs. It is also much smaller than the photos show and not well maintained, with paint chipping off the toilet walls and a loose shower handle. We got our cleaning fee refunded after all but this was an uncomfortable stay.

Great location, poor house Positive: Good location. Negative: We had to chase for the check in details which made the begin of the stay stressful. They said they would send the check in details the day before which I had to chase. Then they said they would send them 'a few hours before check in'. I had to then chase 2 hours before and only got them by calling the company. The property had NO SMOKE ALARM which is a legal requirement. I notified the company and they said they would 'let the landlord know'. We went and bought our own because of how ridiculously unsafe it was not to have one. The house is small which we knew because we have stayed on that road before. It has no personality at all- no nice touches, not enough toilet roll etc. There was a dangerous nail sticking up in the floor in the first bedroom. They house was not clean- limescale's shower, dirty sofas, dirty underneath furniture, crumbs in the kitchen.

Die Unterkunft ist recht gut gelegen, da von Bahnhof fußläufig erreichbar, dennoch relativ ruhig, da in Gasse gelegen. Räumlichkeiten recht klein, aber ok. Dusche für Personen größer 170cm zu klein. Der Zustand ließ leider zu wünschen übrig. Badezimmer war geputzt, aber es gab Schimmel in der Dusche, am Boden des Waschbeckens trat Wasser aus. Betten frisch bezogen. Ansonsten war es leider staubig und schmutzig. Im Obergeschoss (Schlafräume) haben die Steckdosen nicht funktioniert, auch in der Küche war 1 von 2 defekt. Wir haben erstmal notdürftig etwas sauber gemacht (Staubsauger vorhanden). Wenn sie ordentlich gepflegt würde, wäre es eine nette kleine Unterkunft. Kommunikation mit der Unterkunft war gut. Es wurde angeboten, kurzfristig einen Elektriker zur Reperatur der Steckdosen in unserer Abwesenheit bereitzustellen. Wir waren aber unterwegs und wollten niemand Fremden in die Wohnung mit unseren Sachen lassen. Miit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sind wir nicht zufrieden.

Excellent location . It’s can walk to every attraction but when it’s can walkable, so the area is not quite. In the house, all electrical device is well-functioning. Lovely to stay here.

Cozy house, clean, 2 great double beds, and perfect location.

Lille hyggelig cottage, men desværre med det manglende vedligeholdelse og rengøring Positive: Beliggenheden er super. Du er midt i byen og kun 1 km fra stranden. Fint med en lille 2 personers terrasse ved køkken. Negative: Almindelig manglende vedligeholdelse. Vaskemaskine lugtede råddent....ubrugelig. hængende spindelvæv i vinduerne. Huset er meget småt til 4 personer, bla er der stort set intet opbevaring til tøj oa.

The location is awesome and the place could be great. However, paint is peaking off the walls, it’s smaller than the pictures have you believe (small by European standards), the place had been tidied up when we arrived, but the place was filthy, the washing machine did not work, the bedsheets were dirty etc etc. Worst check-in we have ever had to be honest. We made the host aware within an hour of checking in. They didn’t reply until the next morning. They asked to have access to the house to fix everything. We made sure to pack up and stay away for the day. When we got back, a bag of linnens had been dropped off and that was it. Nothing cleaned, nothing fixed. They asked to come back the next day (our last day). I said I needed access to the house that day and told them they should have fixed it the previous two days. They apologized and asked to give me 15% off the next stay. Why would I pay for another stay at a dirty house with an unresponsive host?🤷🏼‍♀️

A casa fica bem localizada, dali é fácil acessar os transportes públicos, é fácil ir e voltar da estacao central de trem, gostei muito. A internet funcionou bem, a água no geral boa e aquecida na medida certa. Havia toalhas suficientes, tudo limpinho, organizado. Muito bom. A casa é bem antiga, materiais bem antigos e alguma coisa sem manutencao, mas tudo funciona nesta casinha. Gostamos muito. O que nao achei bom foi o fato de termos de tirar todo o lixo no último dia e colocar num container na rua (há instrucoes no manual da casa), pois nao havia essa informacao no momento da reserva. Pagamos uma taxa de limpeza que pensamos incluir o lixo. Obviamente que tiramos o lixo, mas nao achei muito legal termos de fazer isso dada a taxa. No mais, tudo ótimo. Voltaria e pretendo voltar.

Place was smaller than it looked but had everything it needed and was super comfortable!!

House was a great location, car park around the corner or train station just up the road, right near the lanes. The flat was clean and tidy, complete honesty we was abit nervous given the previous reviews saying it was very small/narrow but the pictures represent the size perfectly so don’t let this put you off. Check in was fine, clear instructions, the only thing to note about the stay is the locks are abit tricky the first few times but once you get the hang of it your fine and even then it’s not enough to put me off coming again. We definitely be staying here again!

We had a great stay in Brighton! First time visit. It was a great location…very close to the train station and north Laine restaurants and shops. And just a short walk (10 min max) to the lane. We didn’t realize that the two bedrooms were connected but it was fine. Cute area and would love to come back someday.
