We've just had a wonderful stay here in Scarborough! This is a beautiful accommodation. Very spacious for us as a family of 2adults and 2kids aged 8&10. Very clean and tidy home from home getaway. lovely sea view as described and about a minute from the beach. Lots of great attractions nearby for families, fun fair on the beach, lots of eateries, lovely beaches, local shops. Great communication from the team, friendly, approachable and relatively quick responses. Very easy check in with keysafe. lots of street parking - ensure you scratch off the parking scratchcard correctly (relatively simple). if you want to venture away from the area u can get a blue token/disc from most corner shops which will give you 3hrs free parking. Overall a lovely stsy highly recommend

Excellent property in a great location. Positive: The apartment was very clean, modern, and comfortable. I especially liked the eco-friendly touches, eg, the toilet roll brand and toiletries. There was plenty of space for a small family, and my son particularly liked that he could watch Netflix tv. The kitchen was well equipped with dinnerware, the ironing facilities came in very handy, and there were plenty of towels provided. The location is excellent, so close to the beach, through the Italian gardens. There are plenty of facilities nearby, and the arcades and shops are a fairly short walk on the shore front. Negative: If I were to pick up on anything, I would suggest providing kitchen roll as there was only 1 dish cloth and 1 tea towel provided.

Comfortable stay at a great location. Positive: The location was absolutely amazing. Sea view, italian gardens close by, even the children playground area in the cliff gardens. I visited in march, and will definitely do my best to book this apartment in warmer months. Everything was clean, the beds were super comfortable. Me and my 8 year old daughter loved how many books and board games were available in the flat ( great bonus;)) . Definitely recommend for an easy, chilled out vacation time.

Idéal pour 3 nuits, visite famille, profiter de la ville - en plus il a fait beau :-) Positive: Emplacement idéal pour accéder à la mer pour de longues balades. Aussi pratique pour le centre ville en passant par le Spa Bridge. 10 minutes de la gare à pied. Negative: Il manquait une cafetière pour les adeptes (mon mari) mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de profiter du séjour

Lovely family break. Positive: Spacious and tastefully decorated apartment. A high standard of cleanliness and contained everything we needed. We had a lovely stay and would definately book again. Negative: Upstairs flat a bit noisy but didn't spool the stay.

Really enjoyed our relaxing stay and hope to be back again soon. Positive: The apartment was spotless on arrival. Seating was comfortable and had nice view of the sea from dining table (will be even better when neighbours scaffolding comes down). Beds were firm but comfy. Negative: The only thing we all found uncomfortable were the pillows. They were all too flat and quite firm. Would be good to have various pillows available. The shower screen wasn't wide enough to stop water soaking the floor. The check in and out times are not great, especially when you are disabled. An extra hour either way would be befter.

Positive: location and facilities Negative: No hand support rails over Bath for elderly or infirm people

Xmas break Positive: Very comfortable, huge apartment, could do with a couple more pans only had 2 plus a frying pan, not ideal for making Xmas lunch, but we managed. We had a problem with the heating but the host rang us and sorted it out in no time. Negative: No mattress protector on the bed, the cleaning was not 100% , I Informed the host he apologised and was unaware of the issues, so now he knows he can sort it out and I'm sure he will. Never the less we had a great stay, and will definitely be going back.

we had a fabulous and relaxing new year break. Positive: location was amazing. can see the sea from the window and easy to walk to the sea front. facilities were brilliant. everything you needed. comfy and very clean. modern feel but very homely. Negative: nothing. if you have more than one car parking could be a problem but not a deal breaker.

Very nice place to stay and we had a lovely three nights on the east coast walking, cycling. Positive: The apartment is a fantastic space and very comfortable and it is in a great location. Negative: The bathroom toilet had serious issues and a plumber had to be called out. The doorbell didn't work so the plumber had to contact Host and Stay to telephone us. After the plumber cleaned the soiled toilet that we discovered on arrival and repaired the flushing system we found that the bath plug mechanism didn't work so had to get a knife from the kitchen to pull the metal plug up. The kitchen sink area was stained as were all the mugs and the dining table. We contacted Host and Stay with regard to parking as it stated on my confirmation that free parking was possible nearby, no need to book. Host and Stay sent us the nearest public parking which we knew about anyway and used and paid for. When we got back to the apartment there were parking permits on top of the microwave in the kitchen. I had reams of emails from Host and Stay over the period we were there and when I put all of this in a quick email to them they sent a reply of best wishes. When I spoke to anyone at Host and Stay it sounded as if I was speaking to someone in a different country. It is such a lovely spacious comfortable place but there were maintainance and cleaning issues which I hope have now been dealt with.

Positive: Fantastic apartment with everything you need. Even has a selection of board games, books and a smart TV. Negative: Extra set of keys would be nice as some of our party wanted to go and do something on their own.

We went with 3 adults, two small children and a dog, the lookout was great, super position with great sea views, very quiet neighbourhood, next to the south cliff gardens and Spa, easy parking just outside the house and another car we had just parked free all week on the front 100 yards away. The rooms are large and a nice newish kitchen, the apartment is tastefully modern with good Wi-Fi and TV. Fridge was on the small side. Would definitely book the Lookout again.

Positive: good location, spacious well equipped and clean flat. additional cushions , blankets, pillows. a summer weight quilt, beach chairs Negative: uncomfy sofa, no nets at windows only curtains, overlooked by neighbouring properties and could hear neighbours walking about upstairs

A lovely welcoming apartment on the whole in a fabulous location Positive: The location, open plan,size of bedroom Negative: Privacy, window into the apartment was a concern to my wife, the proximity to the toilet.

We very much enjoyed our stay but a few extra touches would have been good PLEAS CHANGE THE CUPS ! Positive: Great location,comfortable beds, comfortable lounge area, good bed linen Negative: Some amenities - especially in the kitchen - needed refreshing. Particularly the cups which were a disgrace. Also you need a sponge scouring pad in the kitchen to get the cups and cutlery clean. One dishcloth is not enough. For accommodation which describes itself as luxury it would have been a nice touch to leave basics such as salt pepper sugar sauces and some coffee pods for the Tassimo machine - most people use nespresso ! There were no toiletries left in the bathroom apart from a tiny bar of soap . There is not enough cupboard space for food storage

Home from home, lovely area, felt safe, perfect location Positive: A fabulous apartment, super comfy and warm, everything you would need for a nice relaxing weekend. Excellent location, 5 mins walk to the cliff lift which goes straight down to the beech. Lovely room sizes, really comfy beds and got a great night's sleep. The parking vouchers were a fabulous touch and very thoughtful. Everything you could need and we'll definitely be back again, thank you Negative: Everything was perfect, but everything in the kitchen cupboards was spread out so much there was no room for us to put bread, cereal etc, maybe make some room for dry food stuff

Lovely comfortable and immaculate apartment in a convenient location wit parking Positive: Lovely spacious, light apartment. Comfortable bed. Great location near lift down to the Spar. Negative: Nothing really but it would be good to have better instructions about how to put on radiators( but we got very quickly helped. A small point- we had to go out more or less straight away to buy washing up liquid. A coffee cafetière would be good and perhaps salt and pepper.

Great location, in a quiet part of town and really near the sea front. Very clean apartment, comfy beds and sofas, great shower, a very pleasant stay!

This flat was a great find. Location is amazing - steps from the cliff paths down to the south bay and an easy walk over the spa bridge into the town. Beautiful views all around. The flat was very clean and well furnished, it had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were very comfortable. Host was very responsive when we needed additional parking permits. Hope to stay again.

Positive: Everything about it was beautiful. The apartment was very clean, everything was thought about to make our stay enjoyable. Couldn't find a single fault. Just wish we could have stayed longer. We were really surprised that even parking tickets were included and we managed to park right outside the door. After previously staying in Scarborough at one of the top class hotels we would definitely book this apartment again. Would highly recommend this. Thank you for a wonderful week. Beautiful apartment Positive: Beautiful, tastefully decorated apartment that had everything you could need. The kitchen supplies were a bonus. Great location, only a 10-15 minute walk into the town. Negative: The shower control kept falling off, which we informed the owner of, so hopefully, this will be rectified for the next occupants.

This place was just as advertised. Very clean and very well presented. We had a great stay with lovely views of the sea and plenty of walks but well within distance of the beach. Thankyou so much

Lovely location. Property needs deep clean and some work doing to bring it up to scratch. Positive: Excellent location. Comfortable sofas. Negative: Needs a bit of tlc. Windows desperate for a clean and not easy to open. No mattress protector on bed. Pillows and quilt basic. Glasses not clean, oven not clean and toaster rusty. Bath had scum feel to it and taps not clean. Could have done with dish sponge and dish cloth for washing up. Floor covering in kitchen area worn away and a trip hazard.

Enjoyed our stay. Positive: Nice spacious flat. Small kitchen area but adequate. Easy access to seafront and some lovely places to run and walk. Short bus ride to Scarborough Centre with it's pubs, restaurants, theatres and other entertainment. Walking distance to some pubs serving good food and real ale, including the Cask where we went to a jazz evening and a quiz night. Negative: Had to walk down fire escape stairs and out through back gate to get rid of rubbish. I can't think of a better solution as the flat is on the first floor. Chandelier style lighting in living area was too bright. I was tempted to remove a couple of lamps but didn't. Perhaps install dimmer switch?

Lovely accommodation. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Well situated for access to the town and beach. Good communication from host. Would love to stay there again. Highly recommended.

Positive: Convenient location. Warm and cosy. Good views and facilities. Everything you need for a week stay. Negative: Unfortunately the cleaners had not been in before we arrived. But this was quickly rectified after a phone call.

Positive: Location fantastic Negative: No coat hangers in the hall/kitchen area The extractor fan in bathroom is fitted wrongly and blows air inwards, therefore the bathroom remains damp. The towels coundn't dry.

The apartment was bigger than it looked, it had everything you needed. It was situated in a lovely part of Scarborough. Couldn’t fault it in anyway, nice little touches , milk in the fridge and bathing products also. I would stay again without a doubt.

Second time we've stayed there and again, it proved a great base for a weekend in Scarborough.

Positive: Good location, clean. Negative: Extremely annoyed to be charged extra money to cover possible damage. This was not in the headline price and we were asked for the money after the cancellation period. We have stayed in many holiday properties and never had the key withheld until we agreed to the extra charges.

Beautiful flat in a great location. Positive: The property was beautiful and very well maintained and developed with a classic style. The facilities were really good and the location was excellent, for what we needed. The main living areas were stylish and thankfully the heating was very efficient. Negative: The bathroom was not very clean, in comparison with the rest of the property. The toilet did not flush properly. There were extra charges made by the company, which were not expected and should be made clear at the time of the booking rather than just before you are due to arrive.

Positive: The location was perfect and the apartment was lovely Negative: I didn't like that the bins in the bedroom and bathroom still had rubbish in from the people who had been in there before us. I had to wash the crockery before use as it was far from clean and we had no light in the bathroom. We were also not advised that there would be parking permits even though I rang host and stay to check on parking they told me it is not available at the property so we paid for three nights parking only to walk in and find permits available. Host and stay charge a £25 non refundable deposit in the event of any incidents. On raising my issues with them I requested this back due to the problems we experienced, they have refused this saying I should have reported during our stay. I replied I don't want to spend my short break dealing with problems that should not have occurred in the first place. It is a shame because the apartment is ideal, but due to these issues and host and stays attitude I wouldn't book again.

Great location, huge space and good value for money!

Great spacious open plan apartment Positive: The apartment was very spacious, clean and nicely dressed. Easy check in, great parking. Location, view of the sea to one side. Hosts were great and very attentive before and during my stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Negative: These are tiny minor suggestions that may improve but wouldn't stop me staying here again. Maybe a curtain or blind at the kitchen window, fitted sheets on the bed rather than flat sheets and possibly a mattress protector. Heating was mildly difficult to work out but got it sorted.

Negative: There were a couple of issues which Host and Stay are addressing as windows needed to open better. All in all a good stay. I paid extra to have damage waiver ...not sure this should be necessary.

The apartment was great. Perfect location with a sea view from a bay window, quiet neighbourhood, next to the South Cliff gardens. Easy to walk to the sea front and town centre. No problems parking our car on-street just outside, with parking permits provided. The rooms are large, and light, with the lounge and kitchen open plan. The apartment is furnished in a modern style, comfortable and very well equipped.

Home from home and made our stay seamless. Positive: Location was fabulous, just a 10 minute walk to the beach. Great views walking to the beach. Apartment was home from home. Contemporary decorated and had everything you'd need. Liked the little luxury touches such as the soaps. Heating was very easy to use since we visited in Feb ! Negative: I wish there had been blinds on the windows. The living area/kitchen in particular. However livingroom did have curtains.

It’s one of the nicest flats I’ve ever stayed in, the host was more then helpful and the location is perfect if you want to be near shops and the promenade. But also it’s a quit corner, which makes it even more enjoyable. I strongly recommend this AirBnB!

Excellent and enjoyable. Positive: The property was very clean and had a very homely feel to it, we all settled in straight away. the view out the living room was great, we could see the sea. The beds were very comfortable. Thought the property was in a great location and was in easy walk of the sea front and access to town and enjoyed our walks down to the sea front. We had no problem parking either. would definitely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends. Negative: Nothing to dislike.

Lived up to expectations, exactly as in pictures. Positive: The location was very good, easy walk into town centre and lovely sea view. Very tasteful decor and everywhere was spotless, couldn't fault anything. Negative: Must have been renovations or something in apartment above, constant noises until after 11pm. (Notice previous review said this as well)

great Positive: very clean and comfortable with everything you could ask for. great location Negative: would have helped if we could have checked in earlier. we had a booking for later that evening and having travelled 2 hours to get there it was a lot of waiting around and then a rush. Would have helped if we could have just left our bags and put the car parking pass on to leave the car.

Mixed feelings about our stay! Pros: - Fabulous location - Good parking - Modern stylish space Cons: - Abysmal communication- the owners aren’t the ones communicating via air bnb, it’s run by a third party. This means when you have issues (as we did), they don’t get solved. - You can hear the above neighbours very clearly. We could even hear snoring coming from upstairs - No door on the kitchen/living area. Poor for pets if you want to keep your dogs in the kitchen

A very pleasant short stay here with family. Positive: Large clean apartment, very well equipped with good quality stuff. Close to the coastal path leading down to the beach etc. lots of street parking with permit provided. Good email & text comms however no human contact (which we prefer ha). Overall quite impressed, not the cheapest however as we all know “you get what you pay for” Negative: I could be very picky however there really is nothing worthy of mentioning. It’s a good place.

Very good. Perfect for 4 adults. Instant help by phone when there was a problem. Very comfy lounge and beds. All that was needed in the kitchen. Ideal for access to beach and Scarborough sights. Topped by a wonderful visit to the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre.

Lovely apartment, clean, tidy and great location. Very modern with everything you need. You will need to take toilet roll and black bags as only one of each provided - which isn’t sufficient for a family of three. Unfortunately not as relaxing as we would have hoped due to the flat above being rented out to three workmen, who played music till late and then awake at 5am. When the shower above is on…and moving around….it’s very loud at 5am. I guess it is totally pot luck on who else rents out the apartment above.
