Great! Positive: very comfortable bed, great shower, all Warm and spotlessly clean. Also a beautiful sea view. Yes there is no lift - we had read other reviews, but we were fine with the stairs to third floor. Access worked well, once we worked out that as well as keying in the pin you then need to press the tick sign as well. Good value at the price we paid, but For the full price I’d maybe want the full service facilities of a hotel. Would recommend and definitely stay again. Negative: No complaints

Lovely Stay Positive: A lovely modern stay in Whitby – highly recommended! We recently stayed at the Langley Host & Stay in Whitby and were really impressed with the accommodation. The room was beautifully presented, modern, stylish and very comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully designed, with lovely décor, quality furnishings and all the little extras you need for an enjoyable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was excellent, which always makes a difference when you’re away from home! We particularly liked the contemporary design, the lovely blue panelling and the well-equipped kitchenette, complete with tea and coffee-making facilities. Everything felt fresh, clean and welcoming. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the accommodation both attractive and practical. A lovely place to relax after spending the day exploring Whitby. We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would happily stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others visiting Whitby. Negative: N/A

High quality apartment in a great location and excellent value for money. Highly reccommended. Positive: Location was excellent - better than it appeared to be on the map. The apartment was recently refitted to a very high standard with nice quality furnishings and fittings. About as clean as it ever gets with professional cleaners but not quite to the spotless standard of a good owner-operator. Negative: Shower room a little cramped - would have been better if it was 300mm wider and the main room was a little smaller. Staff on the help line weren't brilliant and getting the access code only 6 hours before arrival is disconcerting - if my phone had failed, we'd have been stuck - would have preferred to have it 24 hours before so we knew all was OK before travelling.

Altogether a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Positive: The location was good with a view over the beach and seafront. I was impressed with the welcome pack of milk in the fridge and tea and coffee supplies, also the shower gels were very good. Negative: I didn't realise that there wasn't a lift and that the apartment I booked was on the 3rd floor. The 62 steps to and from the apartment were some thing of a challenge.

Positive: I am sorry to write a bad review as the property in itself isn't bad, the rooms are quite nice and the bathroom also was quite good

Positive: Very clean, spacious and modern Negative: A lot of stairs to climb as it was on the second floor, front door was tempremental getting in.

Positive: Modern, clean, tidy and a lovely view from the window over the crescent and the bay Negative: After a certain time of night although you could open the front door with the code you couldn’t then get through the second door without a key. My partner went down for a cigarette on 2 occasions and couldn’t get back in, fortunately I was in the room so went down to let her in but if we’d both been outside or come back late we wouldn’t have been able to get through.

Nice stay in comfortable modern apartment. Positive: Very clean, modern and comfortable with a nice view of the sea Negative: It’s quite a climb from the centre of Whitby and then there was a further 40 steps to climb to get to our apartment which was number 8 on the third floor, there is no lift. My wife wanted to use the hairdryer (as listed in the amenities) after her shower but there wasn’t one in the apartment. When contacted, the host’s suggestion was to look on the shelves and in the cupboards !!

Positive: Very comfortable and clean, there was no iron or ironing board, we had to buy a travel iron. Only one hand towel for 2 people but it was a lovely spacious room. We did think it was a hotel with staff for extra supplies but it was not staffed. Location good. Negative: Nothing we didn't like.

This modern, nicely decorated apartment in a peaceful part of Whitby is within walking distance of all attractions in the town, making it an ideal base for exploring. There are lovely, coastal views through the windows where it was nice to sit and watch the world go by. We were sent check-in instructions the day before our stay which we found easy to follow when accessing the apartment. Apartment 8 is located on the third floor and there is no lift within the building which is something to keep in mind. There is no dedicated parking area for the building, so we utilised a long stay car park just around the corner. There was no hairdryer in the apartment even though the listing suggests there should be one and there was no cold water in the kitchen, so we had to purchase some bottled water to drink. Also, one of the mugs looked like it wasn’t washed and had coffee stains in. However, these were relatively minor things and didn’t detract too much from our enjoyable holiday in Whitby.

Very nice room, very modern and clean. Kitchen needed a dedicated light. Difficult to get in. Took 6 times to open the front door before we got the 'knack'. Shouldn't be this difficult. Three flights of stairs up to Room 8. Parking is £12 a day. Wish we had been told this before we arrived. There was no cold water ! Literally it was warm all the time. Undrinkable. The shower was like the fires of Mount Doom. Told this to the host, but the ' leave the key for maintenance to have a look ' wouldn't have worked - we were out all day. Is there only one key ? The TV was a bit of a SmartTV nightmare - no terrestrial channels at all. A real messy thing. Gave up in the end. Bed was just ok. A case of ' Really nice decor, but the basics are a bit lacking '. Wish there had been someone onsite, but I guess that's the nature of this beast and we learnt a lesson here.

The apartment was located in a beautiful part of Whitby, with coastal views from the room. The room itself was modern, nicely decorated and had a very comfy bed and pillows. However, upon arrival there were remains of past visitors stay. Additionally, the check in process was dreadful. Firstly the keypad on the outside door does not unlock straight away, have to try multiple times which was very frustrating. Secondly in the inner lock box for our apartment did not have a key inside. After waiting on the phone for almost an hour we were given access to the maintence key which made us feel unsafe. We were told by staff on the phone that our apartment key would be left in our lock box the same day and it never arrived for the duration of our trip. This made the arrival process stressful, however the room and views were beautiful. If access is fixed to the apartment I would definitely recommend to friends or family.
