nice but i dont think the housekeeper did a good job. Positive: the location was very good because anyone with difficulties it was near most things, parking was not very good Negative: on entering the front door the landing was very dirty, not giving the right impression, no rubbish was removed from the flat, we tried to move it but the bin shed door but it would not open, if the flat had been cleaned,before we were allowed in why was the rubbish not removed?

Shower very slippery Positive: It was a nice clean apartment Negative: The shower was very slippery. There could have been a shower mat or something to make it less slippery, and a grab rail would also have helped my friends who have mobility issues could not use the shower, as the would have slipped and hurt themselves.

Overall a good place to stay - great location, very central but quiet at night, reasonably well equipped kitchen, more spacious than I had expected. We had a lovely time there. However, BEWARE THE BOT! I tried to find out a simple question about which floor it was on (1st floor fyi) and spent some time fruitlessly and increasingly vexed trying to get this info by messaging what was clearly an AI response that didn't know and couldn't check. Eventually I called the number and the actual person I spoke to also couldn't find out. It was crucial to me for mobility reasons as affected if all planned guests could come. In the end I found the information by discovering a listing on a different site for the same place.

Great value for money for such a spacious clean bright modern apartment in great location Positive: Modern, bright, spacious, quality fittings, and great central location. Comfortable beds, comfortable sofa/seat. Pedestrian street, but Access to drop off luggage,after 4pm. Negative: No wardrobe or place to hang clothes. Bit noisy early morning with beer deliveries near by. Key box difficult to find when arriving late at night.

Positive: Apartment is in a great location right in the centre of Whitby. It is nicely furnished and the beds are comfy. Good price for the location. Negative: Apartment wasnt clean. It smelt of musty cigarettes when we first went in. It clearly hadn't been dusted recently, the tops of furniture and floors were dusty, socks were covered in dust and bits when walking round apartment. The toilet makes a loud deep grinding noise whenever it is flushed (not ideal for night time loo trips) No wardrobe, hangers, or anywhere to hang clothes. Tray in oven was covered in used oil, hadn't been cleaned since previous use. No kitchen roll, and nothing provided to do dishes (other than dishwasher) or to wipe surfaces with (no sponges or cloths) which is no use if just want to clean previous guests lipstick off glasses! No bedside lamps provided in the twin room, just the main ceiling light. Such a shame as these are such easy fixes and are the basics required for a decent stay. Saying this, we would stay here again if we knew it had been cleaned properly and with a few tweaks, as it is a very good location and has great potential.

Positive: Very good clean apartment great facilities and location. Negative: No WiFi!! Wasn't working 😕, complained but over the weekend they couldn't get hold of the owner . Really wasn't happy about that . Children were frustrated in the evenings without their iPad!

Well located and a very comfortable apartment with lots of space for a family. Positive: Everything you need for a family stay. Excellent decor and furnished to a high standard. Negative: The access passageway to the key boxes was dirty and we had to walk through slushy pigeon poop (lots of it) to get the keys.

The holiday home was easy to access. It was clean and tidy and in a great location. Positive: The hosts kept us fully informed about our stay. The home was clean and tidy and in a great location. There was tea, coffee, sugar and milk for when we arrived, no biscuits like last time though :-) Negative: A spare key would have been nice as there were two couples staying in the holiday home. Like most hotels and holiday homes these days the check ins and outs could be better, an our either way would make a difference

We had a lovely stay celebrating my dad's 70th birthday and his first time in Whitby. Great price and easy to book. The apartment looked just like the photos and felt very homely. Brilliant location too. We would definitely stay again and recommend.

Nice break Positive: Location great, 3-4 minutes walk from Train& Bus Station, also handy for the great pubs & eateries in Whitby. Negative: Only fault we could find was with the interior doors to the 2 apartments, there is no cushioning so when so people staying there just let the door slam shut the sound goes right through the downstairs apartment. I would recommend you book the upstairs apartment or maybe Host&Stay could rectify the situation.

Great property, excellent location but needed a better clean! Positive: Very modern looking flat and had everything we needed, comfortable beds. Negative: Leg on chair in living room was broken so we couldn't use, floor was dirty and looked like it hadn't been hoovered aldo dirty sticky marks on bed throws. I did make owners aware and someone contacted me and offered to come and hoover the flat and fix chair so they did respond well.

Modern property, well appointed. Needs a bit more thought for guests and very noisy due to birds and deliveries. Positive: Modern, smart, pleasant and good quality. Speedy response to messages from host and stay. Negative: Only 1 bedside light in twin room. No fan to cool. Very noisy outside so had to have windows shut and no means to cool. Alarm in hallway going off throughout All of time there. Reported but not resolved. No hanging space, drawers 3/4 full of clean bedding. Residue of sand on the floor. No plug by bed. Internet poor.

Overall we had a great break been to Whitby many times and would happily stay here again Positive: Location was perfect Negative: It would be helpful to have a mirror in the twin bedroom. My mam also commented that she would rather have wardrobes than drawers, so a few more hanging places would be ideal. These are very minor and wouldn’t bother most people.

Positive: Beds were comfortable, it was great having TVs in every room for a family. Enjoyed that there is a bath and a shower. Floors, surfaces, beds clean. Location was fantastic. Beautiful size and well decorated space. Negative: The plumbing is very noisy, there is no parking at all which is advertised, the coffee pods supplied do not fit the coffee machine. The other guests kept not locking the main door from the street - maybe clearer instructions required for some guests. There were drawers with previous guests hair bobbles and new clothes tags in as well. All relatively small things but stops it being a 10. It is ready for a full deep clean to dust lamps etc ;some furnishings are ready for replacement or repaint too.

Fabulous stay Positive: Fantastic apartment in a great location. Everything modern and clean. Quick responses to queries that we had. Very well equipped kitchen including a coffee maker, microwave and large selection of cutlery and crockery. Negative: Only a very minor issue . We couldn't find any oven gloves which made getting a hot dish out of the over with the tea towel tricky so maybe this would be a useful addition.

Baxtergate Apartment Positive: Fabulous central location. Very well equipped modern apartment with comfortable beds. You can park outside of the apartment after 4pm and before 10am for easy loading/unloading of car. Communication with hosts was spot on. Negative: Not sure the floor had been swept in a while, my socks on the first day were covered in dust and fluff. The stairs to the first floor are quite steep. The twin bedroom needs a much bigger mirror. The comparison of that one and the massive one in double bedroom is very significant.

Positive: Right in the middle of the Town centre Negative: The contact information for the manager requires updated as we had a flood when emptying the bath sent a message to the manager listed as manager for the properties to let him know about the water spilling out on the bathroom floor but a day later I recieved a message saying he does not work for the company any more.

Overall and great place to stay to enjoy what Whitby is all about and offers. Was disappointed with the condition of the entrance area and certain parts of the apartment had not been cleaned which was a shame.

Modern accommodation, well equipped & in a fantastic location (albeit, noisy). Positive: Modern & fully equipped. Great that you could actually open the windows too! Perfect location, with a 4am wake up alarm from the seagulls. Negative: I’m honestly not fussy, but it wasn’t clean at all. The amount of dust on lamps, all over the floors & behind the bedsides drawers (while plugging in charger) was astonishing. There was blue toothpaste on the bathroom basin from previous occupants that hadn’t been cleaned. While it’s fine not to have wardrobes, there are no hooks on the back of doors in any of the rooms to hang clothes, or put towels on in bathroom (heated rail didn’t work either). Such an easy fix and a real basic necessity that drove us potty by day 2.

As a frequent visitor to Whitby, I know my way around well as the apartment was so close to station, and so central to both sides of Whitby, it is an excellent location. The apartment is just as you see it in photographs, I would definitely recommend it for a lovely break in Whitby, there are a few stairs to get up to the apartment, but as long as you are aware of this. there were a few issues, which were passed on, and the, customer care is really fantastic, nothing was to much trouble, it is on a busy shopping road, but when the day trippers go it really is lovely and peaceful. The beds are amazing, lovely and clean, plenty of towels.We had a bit of an issue with the WiFi, for first couple of night, which was sorted out with the great customer service, big massive congratulations to Charlie and Luke who were a credit to deal with. I would definitely stay again, but for a bit longer stay Location is amazing to rail station, and all local amenities. What's not to love.

However the living room kitchen did smell of fried food all the time. Also the staircase had an awful pungent smell. Could be due to the bin store not being emptied. The shower was on the small side.

From walking through the front door it was clean and bright. Positive: Location was perfect right in the middle of all shops. Negative: No problems at all.

It was not cleaned when I entered the room. Full of hair in the bathroom and everywhere, smells bad, pigeon’s feather outside of door, staines on the table. I couldn’t stay there so I asked refund.

Positive: Lovely place to stay, clean, beautifully furnished and good central location. There’s a few things I’d have liked to have known before my visit. 1. It’s on a high street surrounded by bars, cafes and shops and very noisy until the early hours of the morning. Then the draymen start rolling the barrels about 6am. 2. It’s very warm in the bedrooms and the windows don’t open. 3. You can park at the pay and display which are near but they are expensive- £24 a day! 4. There is a mandatory damage fee which we were told about 7-10 days before the stay.
