“Super first floor unit with amazing views over the Northumberland countryside, Spacious, quiet, comfortable and very well equipped. We loved our stay and would return if we’re in the area. ”

“Our favorite Northumberland stay The Granary at Carr Edge was a lovely place; I hope we can visit again. It's in a beautiful spot with gorgeous views on both sides. It looks remote on the map, but access to Hexham, Hadrian's Wall and various forts and museums was easy. It's picturesque, a stone-built farm house and outbuildings, so like my grandparents' that I visited as a child. Everything was perfect down to the signage. There's an interesting historic remnant of a Gin-Gang (look it up!). Our hostess, Sandy, was charming and ready to answer our curious questions. She had thought of everything, including delicious flapjacks for us. There was a water issue, referred to in earlier reviews, but there was plenty of bottled water for us and we found it no inconvenience. This was our favorite stay in Northumberland and I hope we can return. ”
