Great apartment for convenience. right in the middle of Whitby. With the family we had a great stay.

I stayed here with my 9 year old son. It was an Excellent location—walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach, and attractions. Modern, comfortable, and spacious living areas.

The best thing about the apartment is the amazing location in downtown whitby just a few mins walk from the harbour & old town. We stayed here as a family of 5 (with 3 small kids) for 2 nights. The apartment is clean & modern. The kitchen is a bit limited (no oven for example) & there was a bit of noise from the pub across the road in the evening. It didnt bother me but my husband who is a light sleeper couldnt go to bed till midnight. The host is a company & you dont get quite the same experience as with an individual unfortunately. The single teatowel provided got dirty & when we asked for another one they said this wasnt possible. If you want to go out in the evening, eat out & go to bed later then this place would be perfect.

Don't book with Host and Stay. Positive: Location Negative: The fact another family had moved into our apartment when we got there. They said Host and stay told them they were in that room. Host and stay told us we went to the wrong one. Which we did not. The landlord told us to go somewhere where there weren't enough beds for us. Actually getting in the property and room. Was an absolute pain. The whole time we were there. You never knew if the doors would work at all. Door locks didn't work properly. The sofa was broken and we couldn't sit on it. Some of the furniture was caked thick in dust. The one fan in the property was trashed and broken. It was very hot at night. No one has hoovered under sofas in years. Being told I can't have check in details a few days before we arrive till I have paid a £25 damage waiver (for a 3 night stay). I knew nothing about. Was basically blackmail. It is a rip off. You can get annual cover for less. I will never ever use Host and stay properties again. Ever. They an basically scam artists. It was awful dealing with them.

Kids loved it, lovely apartment. Nice and clean. Will visit again Positive: How convenient the location was. 2 minute walk to the front. Negative: We stayed Friday and Saturday so obviously being peak drinking time, the little angels pub opposite had very loud music on until after midnight. Obviously it can’t be helped, but if you’re looking for an early night I don’t like the chances. Also, just a bit concerning that we came back at the same time as the neighbours and whilst I was going to the key press they said out loud the EXACT same number (this number was also the same as the door to our apartment) so it was slightly unsettling.

location is great. Place is beautiful. Perfect for our family of 4. Make me want to live in Whitby indefinitely ! :)

Unfortunately we would not stay in this apartment again due to lack of sleep Positive: I liked the central location and that it could accommodate 3 adults and 2 children Negative: I initially struggled to enter the property using the keypad and the lock box next to it failed to open. There was a pub opposite which played music till late keeping us all awake, after that it was people chatting in the street below despite the windows being closed. There was rubbish under our bed from previous guests and the triple sleeper was very small. I have one at home but this one was like sleeping in a coffin. The lounge /dining area was small and quite uncomfortable for the number of guests and needed a better layout to optimise space.

A lovely apartment in the heart of Whitby! It was so close to all the main strip but away enough to have some peace and quiet too! The apartment itself is a great size, it was clean and comfortable and had everything a family could of needed! I would definitely recommend and we would definitely stay here again!

The place was really clean, great size and a wonderful price was very good location. The master bedroom was really comfortable. \n\nI think a later checkout would be good considering you can’t check in till 4 which is late as some places are 3pm.\n\nI would recommend. It was worth the money

had a lovely weekend with the girls. Positive: the location was excellent and the apartment was clean and spacious . had almost everything needed could have done with a cheese grater but we managed. Beds comfy and a fan was very helpful in the living room. would defiantly stay here again if ever in Whitby. Negative: the entry door instructions where a little complicated we arrived at same time as some other guests and they also struggled a lady from shop next door opened it from inside and explained how to get in. The tap to turn shower on and off was bit stiff. carpark was a bit of a hilly walk.

We went to celebrate my father in laws 90th birthday. We love Whitby and would stay here again. Positive: No breakfast it was an appartment. Some milk etc was left for us which was a nice surprise Negative: The keys and codes were difficult to do. Shame we couldn't check in earlier than 3pm and check out later than 10am.

Great location, lots of restaurants and bars surrounding the property and less than 5 minutes from the part of Whitby. If you struggle with walking up banks then keep this in mind as there is a little bank up to the property. Was nice and clean and supplied toilet roll and linens along with towels. Perfect for us.

Brilliant weekend Positive: Great location Negative: Clean, spacious

The building is right opposite of a very loud pub that blast music until midnight or even 1am on Saturdays, we can hear the music clearly from our rooms. Additionally, their digital lock had some problems and we were just unable to lock it at all... We wasted a few hours trying to resolve the issue because the unit is not directly managed by the landlord so the communication was rather difficult. The check-in time was not flexible as we were told that we will be charged to check in even just 15 mins earlier... Other than that, the place is clean and convenient.

Love Whitby and the property location, do not love Host and Stay! Positive: The digital door locks were great once we worked out how to use them. Location of the flat was excellent for exploring Whitby. Negative: The instructions to use the digital door Locks were lacking! We were not told to press a final button for both locks. We were stood by the front door for ages! The property wasn’t very clean, found it to be dusty, had to wipe drips and cup marks off the sofa and also found a filthy cotton wool pad on the floor in the bedroom (see photo). I have booked with Host and Stay 3 times now, and find them to be unfriendly with their messages, not happy with their aggressive marketing for more money for earlier access to the property or the ambiguous demands for insurance cover! I will definitely avoid booking anything with Host and Stay again!

Host and Stay are great and this is our second stay here. But, whilst this location is nearly perfect it does get very loud at night. Basically, the place is perfect except for the pub right over the road. If noise isn’t a problem then this is the place for you. However, the pub plays loud live music until around 11:30pm and then the noise of people coming out continues for ages. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll stay again. It was just too loud for us this time. Other than that this location is amazing.

We’ve come back from a lovely trip to Whitby. The flat was just what we needed in a great location. I do wish they made it clearer on the listing that it is next to a pub which plays loud music on a Friday and Saturday night. If I had known I wouldn’t have booked with two small children. However the noise isn’t the fault of the flat and the flat and location in itself was just right

Been here before and would recommend. Positive: Good location. Beds comfortable. Negative: Shower was stiff to use. Turning handle was hard. Lots of noise from upstairs.

The location is perfect as it is very close to both public transport and the main part of town, but without the price of some of the other places we looked at. It was easy to get in, comfortable and well equipped.

Positive: Apartment, location was spot on Negative: Not being able to check in before 4 oclock, unless we paid, we had to walk around for 4 hours with our luggage, and there was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door. And the bunk bed is not suitable far adults

Well situated for where we wanted to be. Loved the apartment.

We had a lovely stay and it os a great location. It should probably be clearer there is no oven or freezer but we made do when we got there. A lot of items in the kitchen needed cleaning on arrival, specficially the oans. But they had a dishwasher so we put it through there. Good locatiom and beds were comfy.

Had a fab stay. Host was super responsive. Great location very near the station which was ideal for us

Some areas needed hoovering but overall great apartment and great location. Modern and everything g we needed. Sofas could do with an upgrade and fans in bedrooms needed a change

It’s a beautiful place. Positive: I like the location of the place which is situated right in the middle of town. Negative: Parking is very expensive and not too closed to where we are staying.

Brilliant! Could not fault anything. Positive: simple straightforward instructions, did'nt need to worry about losing/forgetting keys. Negative: Nothing to dislike

Great apartment in a great location. No nonsense instructions for access and very easy to find. Parking discs are available in the hallway for when unloading your belongings. I found a free parking space a short walk from the accommodation which was a bonus. I'd recommend staying here over a b&b as you can do as you please and there is plenty of space. 2 double beds and one single that is above one of the small doubles. Cooker, fridge pots, pans and iron and ironing board are in the kitchen area.

Positive: We loved the location. It was just so ideal. Close to everything with plenty of shops, pubs and eateries nearby. We loved how clean and tidy the apartment was. It has a real homely feel. We were surprised at how spacious the apartment was. Negative: Not so much a dislike but there was no remote for the TV in the main bedroom. It didn't hinder or spoil our stay in any way.

Lovely place in good location albeit noisy at night. Parking is not easy at all! Positive: The apartment is done to a decent standard and is very centrally located. Negative: There being no oven is annoying. Lack of parking is very inconvenient. The pub across the road is very noisy. The property had not been hoovered prior to our arrival.

Great place to stay for few days in Whitby Positive: Apartment was in a great location right in the centre of everything, beds were really comfy and bedrooms had everything you would need inside (fan, hanging space, mirrors, lots of towels, blackout curtains), living room/kitchen was a nice space and large bathroom. Lovely big windows with street lit up on a night with coloured lights and it was nice to sit and watch the artist in his gallery painting. Negative: Only minor like shower mat in the bathroom (flooring was tiled so was very wet and slippy after shower) and would have been nice for tea/coffee, milk for arrival as some places do just to make it a bit special. The pub over the road does have live music on a weekend so is quite loud until midnight but wouldn’t stop us from coming back.

Great apartment Had a lovely 3 night stay. No complaints about the apartment and facilities as were great. The only downfall was the noise from the little Angel. Live band didn’t stop until 11.30pm on Saturday and karaoke on Sunday at the same time.

Wonderful break! Positive: spotlessly clean, well equipped, light and airy, quiet, cosy and homely with everything we needed! Negative: There was nothing we didn’t like! If we had to think of something, then disposing of the rubbish in the basement was a little scary but I got my husband to do it! A parking space would have been great but that is the nature of Whitby and it certainly didn’t spoil our break!

Excellent position, very clean and modern apartment. Good for short stay. Positive: It was self catering so no breakfast. Nice modern spacious living kitchen/living area. Lovely large shower room. Would have liked a bath. Negative: It was quite stressful having to use technology to book in when we arrived and it was not always easy to work the code on front door so ended up using safe key. Also no oven was a drawback. Also could have done with having a cafetier. Kitchen wasn't that well equipped.

Lovely apartment in great central location. We spent a long weekend here and the apartment had everything we needed and more (kids now wanting Disney at home!).

Modern, light, airy, central apartment. Positive: Excellent, Modern & central. Had questioned the need for secondary glazing until 5am! Realised, just how good it was, for keeping out gulll noise. Exceptional. Whitby Parking an issue, as a very popular tourist area. So knew to park at the harbour and carry bags to apartment. Kitchen had a hob and microwave. But no cooker, for easy pizzas (have 2 hungry teens). No bother. Pretty decent pizzeria up hill. And excellent hog roast butties at bottom of hill. Plus a stocked larder, with ample tea, coffees, sugar and condiments. Only thing missing was a cafetiere - but being overly picky, as we like strong coffees. Yet again, great coffees from Sherlocks. Hosts had supplied lots of family games. Highly recommend accommodation and hosts. Got some decor ideas too.

Positive: Everything in the apartment was available even tea coffee milk facilities were top notch very comfortable stay only problem was the hob and that was only because we knew nothing of induction hobs !! Negative: Being on the top floor ! only as i cant do stairs easily after a stroke
