We had a fantastic stay and the place was just as described, and very well set up for kids which was perfect. Would happily stay again.

The place was absolutely fantastic. Great for the 7 of us. The garden was perfect for the kids running around and there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. House was clean, warm and very comfortable. We would 100% stay there again

We had a wonderful stay at the fold. Absolutely great for families and perfectly kitted out with toys, games, books and accessories for babies and kids. Location wise it was perfect for Alnwick, Beadnell and Seahouses. Cannot fault the house. It was clean and has beautiful views. Would definitely come back again.

We had a lovely weekend here. The garden area was beautiful and my favourite part of the house. Gorgeous views of Northumberland countryside and lots of sheep to look at it in the fields. The house was equipped with lots of children’s toys, equipment and games which my daughter loved! The doll house in the garden was a particular favourite of the weekend. I would recommend this place for big families and would be happy to return. Thank you.

The Fold was a lovely house, with great-sized bedrooms and a fantastic garden which was wonderful as we were staying with children. Getting into the house was easy, though we were nervous as initially our stay was double-booked and we had to rearrange our dates. The location was great - so much within a short drive, unfortunately we didn't have enough time to explore the immediate local area, but it was beautiful. It was also really well set up for children with steps for the sink/toys and books and bed guards etc. in one of the spare rooms. Make sure you take extra toilet roll, soap/cleaning spray etc. depending on how long you are staying for/how many of you there are as we found one loo roll per toilet for 7 people for. 4 nights was not enough. And take milk/teabags/ bread/biscuits with you if you're not going straight out for a shop, or have brought one with you, as there was no welcome pack on arrival, there were a few UHT milk sachets though.

This accommodation was double booked by Host & Stay. On the day of arrival another guest arrived and we had to contact Host & Stay who were no help at all. I was asked to leave immediately and forced to take up emergency accommodation elsewhere. This emergency accommodation was dirty and unsuitable for our family. It ruined our holiday. Host & Stay offered no help or support during all of this which was very upsetting and worrying considering we were away from home. I have tried to resolve this issue but the company have not taken our calls or offered help. Host & Stay have said they have opened a complaint but I have received no updates or support. I’m now out of pocket. Would strongly suggest others proceed with caution if using this company in future. We have never experienced this whilst using Air BnB and it’s very worrying how exposed we have been to losing our money.

An excellent property which was great for our 3 generation family. it was well equipped and comfortable. The children loved the garden and all the toys.

The Fold was perfect for our family group of 7 (including 3 small children) It had everything that we needed in the kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Lovely furniture and tastefully decorated throughout. The children loved the little playroom on the ground floor and also the private garden with the play shed and all of the outdoor toys. It was perfect for us and we hope to re-book The Fold in the future.

Really well equipped house in a great location, ideal for families. Positive: We travelled as 2 families with 4 children (ages 2 and 4), and we couldn’t fault this place. It was so well equipped, especially for children. The kitchen had lots of plastic tableware and a high chair. There was a second living room with loads of toys and books, and the garden had a swing set, playhouse and sit on tractor. The garden was lovely and overlooked fields full of sheep. The house had everything we needed, literally just had to take clothes and food. We didn’t use a lot of this stuff but did notice that it was also really well equipped for babies, there were travel cots, bed guards, baby bath, sterilizer and baby gates! Location was great too, short drive to Alnwick and not far from Seahouses and Bamburgh. We would definitely stay again! Negative: The only thing we didn’t like were the pillows! They were really high and firm, but that was the only thing we could fault.

This is a lovely house in a lovely location, well decorated and furnished. Unfortunately the downstairs shower was too cold to use throughout our stay so the nice ratio of guests to bathrooms is tighter than it seemed when we booked. It was also apparent that the dishwasher wasn’t working, we had to wash all the dishes and glasses before we used them. The property seems to be managed by a third party who send many messages and called me to complete their check in form but weren’t actually helpful in resolving our issues. At checkout we received another bunch of messages to make sure we removed glass and left the place in perfect condition, making it clear we would be fined for damages. It felt a bit of a hassle for what should have been a relaxing trip away with my mum and family friends.

Amazing stay for my dad’s 70th birthday celebrations. Fantastic size rooms, clean, comfortable and beautiful views. Would highly recommend.

Very quiet and comfortable. A great base for walking

Had the most amazing family holiday at this gorgeous cottage. Family of 3 generations with a furry family member also. Check in process was easy, everything emailed with an online welcome book to find all the required information for the property. The home was spotless, plenty of hot water, nice and warm. Every amenity required, even an air fryer. There is a coffee maker, but didn’t use it, a pod one easier to use would be only thing I’d maybe change. The beds were super comfy, had a great nights sleep every night. We loved the log burner and sitting around playing games in front of it in the evening. A big hit with the children was the garden, they loved been able to get out and play. We had lambs in the field behind the garden which were a joy to watch playing. The property is in a little peaceful hamlet, you can walk to the rocking horse cafe about 30 mins which serve amazing coffee. The other direction can walk to The Horseshoe Inn pub about 30 mins again, lovely pub with amazing food (recommend the fish pie) and super helpful staff. The communication from the hosts has been fantastic, we’ve stayed with many and this is by far the best. We will definitely be returning to this property, thank you for having us at your beautiful home.

After satnav took us right to the door, we managed to park three cars. We enjoyed an amazing meal at a local restaurant, 1.4 miles away. The scenery is beautiful. Getting in the front door after a long drive is an absolute delight, the place is spotless, cozy and warm with beautiful bedrooms. The broadband is quick considering the location. We felt right at home and comfortable straight away. If we have a reason to stay near that location again, I think this beautiful home is a first choice.

The property itself was lovely however the 24/7 customer service from Host and Stay was none existent. We arrived for a 2 night stay on the hottest days of the year. All 4 bedrooms were occupied and no fans to access. The place was HOT!! Called the support number who promised to call owners to resolve but nothing done. No sleep for anyone until 4am ish when it cooled down naturally. Called the next day, unable to get through so left a message and no reply or action. Second night the same. So very disappointed with the customer support and as lovely as the property was our whole experience was ruined with the lack of provision for severe heat.

The Fold, Rock Beautiful property, clean and immaculate with more essentials than we needed!. Lots of space for us all and plenty of bedrooms. Lovely garden and view of the distant sea.Downstairs shower tray may need some attention as not draining away very well.....otherwise all excellent!

Pictures do not do this place justice. It’s stunning, the view, the rooms everything about it we loved. It’s very central to everywhere you would want to go and the neighbours are great (even giving us some boules to play on the pitch a small walk away). Would not hesitate recommending this accommodation, there is even a lovely local pub a short 15 min walk away.

This is a lovely house and a professional listing.

The home was very well equipped, stylishly decorated and very clean. All necessities were provided. The view was stunning and we were lucky to have perfect weather with plenty of places to sit outside to enjoy the sun. It is a very peaceful area with lots of places to visit within short driving distance. We were concerned beforehand as didn't ever receive the check-in form we were reminded about completing. However the check-in was very easy and in the end we didn't need this. The only thing wrong was the grid for the barbecue was rusted and we couldn't use it, so had to buy disposable barbecues to use instead. Other than that everything was perfect with extremely comfortable beds and clean linen and towels. Would happily stay there again.
