Family trip Positive: Lovely apartment. Clean. Nice area. Car park just down the road from the apartment. Negative: Big shower head wasn't working in the shower room could only use hand held shower head. No pressure in either showers, water dribbled out. Told the host during our stay and they said they would arrange maintenance to sort the problem but this was 11.30 PM, we had 4 young children and we didn't see the point disturbing them at that hour as we were only there for two nights.
email Spam and leave the house ASAP Negative: Overall the experience was good. Only problem was an incredible amount of messages that I received, 3/4 on a daily basis for different things that doesnt really matter as if they were concerned about us. Then we requested them to be in the house 2 more hours (You have to leave at 10.00am!!) and they didnt allow us. Thats very annoying as next day was thursday and there were plenty of time to clean the house. They didnt even offered to keep the bags there. If I can I will give them a 1/10 only for that lack of empathy. We were travelling with kids.
Stylish, well-maintained apartment in Liverpool's Georgian quarter. We loved the look of the place, with its high ceilings and tasteful furniture. It was very comfortable for us four adults and a toddler and not-yet-crawling baby staying for a weekend in the city, with the hosts providing everything we needed. It was lovely and quiet and I would recommend the apartments for anyone looking for a relaxing break a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the centre.
Spacious Flat, Perfect for Families Positive: Booked this for family to attend a graduation ceremony at the University. Two parents, a couple, and two sisters. The space and rooms were perfect for this. It was really nice to have a TV and flex space in each room. The apartment itself was classic, pretty, and comfortable. The kitchenettes were well equipped, and made the stay feel very homely. You are of course, in walking distance of the Universities, Bold Street, China Town etc. Ideal location. Negative: Bathrooms could be a little more purposeful, could have done with an additional shelf or towel rack. A few guest washcloths would also have been appreciated. There were a few minor maintenance issues, such as a broken toilet seat, but nothing that impacted our stay. Re: Parking - even if the listing doesn't have parking as an amenity, I do think it reasonable for the management to give sensible advice about parking in the area, as the suggested on-street parking is limited to 4-hours. We ended up parking in the Philharmonic which was not a problem, but staff was a little unhelpful and defensive when we got there to find that the on-street parking was not adequate for an overnight stay. Seeing as management sends you a *superfluous* amount of messaging upon booking, it can consider adding this to the shared information. Re: Messaging - the guidance and clarity did ensure an orderly stay, but this volume and frequency of messaging could be halved with the same effect.

Perfect, value for money luxury Positive: The apartment was truly beautiful in a very beautiful location in the Georgian quarter of Liverpool. Spacious , comfortable and spotlessly clean , we all slept well in very comfy beds. We picked this apartment to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and we were not disappointed. Memory making in Liverpool Positive: Spacious, clean and well equipped Negative: Uncomfortable sofa in living room and uncomfortable sofa bed. Also, no fault of host & stay but there seemed to be a hostel of some sort a little further down the road and as such, there were quite a few ‘intoxicated’ people hanging about. This was a little disconcerting for and uncomfortable for some of the group
Modern but needs a bit of attention! Positive: Lovely apartment nice clean modern bedrooms and kitchen lounge area, had everything needed for our stay. Eg cutlery plates cups etc There were parts of the apartment which needed attention and could do with a lick of paint on doors & skirtings. But could do with the bathrooms being modernised maybe adding a fan & some ventilation. Called the hosts to request more toilet roll as there was not enough to last us 2 days & there were 5 adults, I was told they didn’t provide it & we would have to purchase more ourselves. We’ve stayed in other apartments in Liverpool & have always been provided with extra toilet paper.
Incredible weekend with pals, perfect location, great vibes
Great Flat but beware of Deposit Scheme applied after Booking Negative: I stayed with friends in Faulkner Street, The Georgian Quarter, Liverpool for 2 nights in November. The flat itself was fabulous minus a couple of blips such as toilets not flushing properly, the bath taking forever to drain whilst showering and the front bedrooms being rather chilly but other than that all was great. I would however have given this visit 5 stars if it hadn't been for Host and Stay emails prior to visiting. The first email advised that £80 would require to be collected at the property due to Liverpool Council requirements, I contacted Host and Stay to discuss this but their team knew nothing about it and advised they would look into it, they then e-mailed me back advising they were still investigating the matter then I never heard anything else about it which I thought was strange to say the least. Their second email requested check-in to proceed however during check-in their deposit scheme reared its head and offered two choices, first was to pay £350 and receive a refund if no damages occurred minus a £10 admin fee (for what?) alternatively, if damages occurred these would also be deducted. Second choice was to pay a non refundable deposit of £35 to cover any damages, what a con!! These extra costs should be included in the booking price and broken down accordingly like the cleaning charge, waiting the week before travel is not acceptable and is a way of simply conning more money out of people as you can't visit until you check-in and these costs need to be paid during check-in. I for one will be hesitant in booking any of Host and Stay's properties in the future, very sly and unprofessional indeed ......

A very comfortable, reasonably priced stay, will definitely recommend to friends Positive: The decor was gorgeous, and beautiful windows and high ceilings. The beds were really comfortable. And the price was really reasonable Negative: There was no cafetière! But there were coffee sachets and pods!

Great location but the electrics and the bathrooms let us down and affected our experience. Positive: Location. Recently decorated. Furnished well. Negative: Bathrooms are in a serious need of a revamp. They are not to the standard of the rest of the place. Both showers are very poor and one shower head was not working. And we were not informed of this. 7 people in one shower is not easy. No washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets were left. Which you would expect to be left. We had to buy are own, which was an inconvenience. Major issue was the temperamental electrical circuits which kept tripping and eventually the whole circuit went off when we were watching the Euro Final. This was an considerable disappointment and was hugely frustrating. Initial attempts to don’t at you were unfruitful as they was no answer to our call. We eventually fixed it ourselves as we turned off the shower switch which enabled the circuit to work. A suitable refund should be considered for this.
This property was great. We stayed with our relatives and friends for our son’s wedding and it was the perfect location for the reception at Frederik’s. It is also great for the cathedrals and Bold Street restaurants and a lovely walk down to the docks. The rooms were great and beds very comfy. The kitchen had lots of space for us to do flowers and cake decoration for the wedding. We used the oven and all worked well. The lighting was a bit dim in the second bathroom but there were big mirrors by windows in the bedrooms so all was fine. The accommodation was very flexible with sofa beds available if needed. Don’t be put off by the number of door keypads for accessing the property. It felt very safe and secure. We loved it and would happily stay again 😀

Peaceful and fascinating area and a great base to explore Liverpool. Positive: Interesting and historic area and great location for exploring the city. So much on the doorstep. A few minutes walk to the cathedrals and Lime Street station. Half an hour to walk to Royal Albert Dock and Liver Building with lots of interest along the way. Ubers were cheap and plentiful. Negative: Although it was generally a very quiet area there was sometimes noise in the street as people walked home from the city centre after a night out. You probably can't fit double glazing to those beautiful Georgian windows. Street parking is very expensive but we got good value for money at the ParkBee multi-storey in Heathfield Street about 10 minutes walk away.
The stay was fine but Host and Stay should be aware of a few potential improvements. 1. Cut down on the constant badgering emails. These are a pain and make you feel like you’re being monitored! 2. Provide a couple of parking permits. Blackburne Place is quiet and there are bays right outside the back door. We had to pay to park in town ( a 12 min walk). 3. Hanging space is limited for a longer stay. It wouldn’t take much work to create some.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, the living/kitchen/dining area would be busy if the property was full! The property felt secure and was in a great spot for walking to restaurants and a good night out.
Accommodation exactly as photos. Very comfortable beds. Good bed linen but missing a mirror in one bedroom and nowhere to hang clothes in largest bedroom surprisingly. Very clean throughout. Kitchen had good appliances and thoughtfully left tea bags and coffee pods. Much appreciated.
Good location Positive: Good location. The apartment was well stocked and clean. Negative: On arrival found a broken toilet seat, which was reported to the owners. We were informed it would be replaced but no-one attended to replace the broken seat.

Great property in a good location. Positive: Great property with plenty of room for 6 adults. Comfortable beds and very clean. Negative: Not enough armchair and sofa seats for 6 adults. The shower in 2a end was very hit and miss - pressure kept dropping and the temperature kept fluctuating.

Positive: Our pack of seven really enjoyed our stay on Falkner Street. It is a cozy and peaceful street, yet very close to the busy city centre. The apartment had good facilities, comfortable rooms, and lovely decor. Having two bathrooms was especially convenient for a larger group. The self-check-in process was easy and straightforward, and the hosts were helpful with anything we needed, coming daily with messages. Negative: As the apartment can accommodate more than six guests, we would have appreciated additional space at the dining table, which currently has only six places.

This is a beautifully appointed apartment in a really lovely area of the city: its three well equipped and comfy bedrooms were just as described. This pretty Georgian area of Liverpool is quiet and yet very conveniently located with easy access to all the cultural and artistic attractions. Our host was just brilliant at keeping in touch which ensured ease of entry and departure. There is an excellent online handbook too with all necessary information. All in all this was a super listing and I would highly recommend it!
It was the perfect apartment in a great location flr our weekend in Liverpool! Positive: Location was excellent. Really convenient for Hope St which was just metres away and only a short walk into the centre of Liverpool. Negative: Everything was great - just a little pricey because of Liverpool FC playing at home and it being the last game of the season.

Apartment was just perfect for a family get-together, is spacious, comfortable with lovely furnishings. Is in a great location with local bars and restaurants but within walking distance of the city, which is just fabulous with lots to see and do. There is parking nearby using Justpark app which is reasonable cost being so near the city. Charlie was a great host and kept in regular contact.

We had a great stay here! The location is great as we could walk everywhere we needed to. It was quiet except for one women who liked to scream outside every morning! We received quite a few messages from the host in the lead up to our visit (almost too many) but it was reassuring that our trip was definitely booked! There are 2 doors that are accessible through key pads before the door to the apartment. 2 sets of keys were provided. There are stairs to get up to the main front door and then a set of stairs to get to the apartment. The accommodation comes with everything you need and extra bedding were found in the cupboards. The sofa bed was easy to put together. We parked in the Philharmonic car park which was two streets away and cost £48 for 4 days. It’s not possible to pre-book this car park but all managed to park here. Thank you so much for a great stay! We would definitely recommend and will be back.
An overall enjoyable stay in Liverpool Positive: Property was clean well equipped, location central for walking into the town centre. Good cafes and bars just around the corner from the property. Negative: Very noisy outside the property late into the evening, with passing traffic and people walking by. The neighbours upstairs didn’t seem too concerned about being respectful of keeping the noise down either!
Really lovely location and apartment was nice but as above it was like entering a safe room just to get in and over the Positive: great location Negative: two codes and a key just to enter, it was a lot of hassle just to enter the apartment. Had so many messages before and during the stay, felt a bit over the top.
Clean & tidy. Very well located. Well managed. Good value for money. Positive: Very clean and tidy. Kitchen well stocked with tea bags, coffee etc Good showers with strong water pressure. Heated shower rails in bathrrom was lovely. The hallway lights on a movement sensor is good. Heating control module in hallway is also very clever. Mangement company very responsive. Negative: We had one major issue: there was inadequate heating in one of the bedrooms so the first night that room was freezing. Once we notified the management company a new heater was supplied the same day. Minor point: Finding the entrance door to the property was initially somewhat confusing as it is not obvioiusy signposted on 13 Blackburne Place that this was the access doorway to 20 Falkner St. Why not put up a sign?
Period flat in beautiful Georgian Quarter equidistant between the two cathedrals. Was cold at night but an electric heater was provided in the large bedroom and blankets in all rooms. Good facilities and brilliantly located. Functional flat for a city break. There were 3 of us and it worked well. Suitable for 6 but not 8 as not enough dining chairs or lounge space. Public transport excellent. Swimming pool at the university allows public use.

Nice apartment with plenty of space and good sized bedroom. Great location, but unfortunately parking was a bit of a pain, and we weren't aware of that before arriving, otherwise would have pre-booked a space close to apartment.

Great location in wonderful city Positive: Good location Negative: Flat not as clean as expected (crisp packet left in drawer, kitchen drawers contained crumbs, bathroom grouting needs attention). Facilities were adequate but basics such as dishwasher tabs, extra toilet rolls not provided.

Fint med spisesteder og pubs i nærheden Negative: Lidt mærkeligt at indgangen var fra baggården og ikke via den oprindelige flotte hovedindgang. Til tider lidt køligt, da varmeanlægget selv sænkede temperaturen fra tid til anden.

Highly recommendable, lovely and perfectly situated apartment! We would always come back! 😊 Positive: Nice and cozy stay in a pleasant neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the comfortable beds and the beautiful interior! And of course the location of the accommodation with lots of great pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. Negative: There could have been more trash bins in the apartment. But despite that, everything was fine!

Beautiful Georgian property in a fantastic location. Easy walk into Liverpool and plenty to do. Three lovely bedrooms and a functional kitchen/dining area. Communicative and friendly host (too communicative perhaps ?). We (6 of us), all had a great stay.

Disappointing Positive: The apartment itself was big -staff very helpful with checking in and were very informative. Negative: Bin in bathroom wasn't changed when we arrived. Someone's sanity towels were visible. Smell of weed from a neighbour above (or beside us , not known which direction excatly ) was very strong in the evening/ night time.

Great place to stay for visiting Liverpool - everything is close by. Positive: Lovely apartment in a lovely area. Communication and instructions before arrival were great - do read the arrival guide they send, it is really good. The Georgian quarter in Liverpool is beautiful, and this apartment is very comfortable and stylish to fit in with the area. Good facilities in the apartment that seem to cover all you need. Negative: A few more coffee pods for the coffee machine would be nice.
Our Liverpool get away Positive: We loved the area, close to pubs and restaurants but quiet enough for a good night's sleep. We were in the middle apartment, very secure. A coffee to get in the gate, another to get in the front door and another door the key safe, I just kept a screen shot for when we were coming back each evening. I drove to the Albert dock but I think there is public transport and for those who didn't mind a walk it was doable.

Did the job. Positive: Location was great. Negative: The rooms were cold at night. Thankfully I’d read that another reviewer had said the same thing, so had packed a hot water bottle just in case. We were also sent so many messages while we were there about the stay. honestly this, felt intrusive and unnecessary.

Great time had by all Positive: The apartment is in a good location with beautiful surroundings. There are local pubs and cafes close by with the main bars and restaurants a walk away or short taxi ride. The apartment itself was beautiful, modern and very spacious. Negative: My only issue would be the sofa bed, it was not the comfiest, so if you have more guests than beds, the sofa bed is not a great option. Other than that, the apartment was great and I would definitely return.
Positive: The accommodation, facilities and location were great. Negative: Nothing really. I suppose having access via the front door would have been good. And would have given us more convenient and quicker access to the nearest pub, across the street, The Belvedere. But we can't complain, as The Blackburne Arms was close enough.
Absolutely stunning property - better if arriving by taxi or foot - location amazing! Positive: Stunning interior (bathrooms need a little zhuzh to match the exceptional level of all of the other rooms). Loved the location so close to Hope St. Negative: Would have liked it to be made clearer that we had to enter via the other street. Also parking is not easy so we drove and parked in a 24hr central city car park.

absolutely beautiful flat. super easy to get into and 5 minutes form the philharmonic orchestra and the 2 cathedrals. it had everything we needed for our stay and more. all the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable
