Quiet business stay. Positive: It was clean and tidy, just what I needed. I had been there before and they have made a great job of the bathroom, making it a shower unit. Definitely will be back. Negative: Nothing

Good value for money Positive: Lovely modern apartment in a great location. Great views from the windows in sitting and dining areas. Seating area outside was a real bonus and when sunny is a real sun trap. Negative: Mould in the bathroom and the beds were not very comfortable.

Comfortable stay with a lovely view. Positive: Great location. Perfect for Beamish. Beautiful views. Clean. Spacious lounge. Negative: Nothing not to like apart from an awful smell on arrival. Had to open the windows for a few hours to get rid of it. After that everything was great.

Trip to Beamish Museum with my daughter Positive: Great location, good communication. Lovely accommodation with a great view. Negative: There was quite a bad smell in the kitchen. I reported it and they said they would investigate. Bed is too long for the size of the bedroom so hard to manoeuvre to the other side.

The property suited our needs very well. We wanted somewhere within walking distance of Beamish Museum, and that’s what we got. Everything was provided within the property that we needed too. Had a good sleep as it was quiet. Would stay again .

Great apartment for a short trip with my elderly parents. Perfect location, 2 minutes from the museum, close to pubs & restaurants. Quiet, felt safe & had everything we needed; good heating, a walk-in shower with hot water, hairdryer & well-equipped kitchen. Milk in the fridge was a lovely touch, & the night lights were useful. A few things to note: although advertised as ground floor, there are around 10 steep steps to the communal entrance, which may be difficult for those with mobility issues. The king bed is very large for the room, so we used the twin room for my parents for fear of them tripping in the night. All the mattresses could benefit from toppers & the sink in the kitchen has a bad odor which needs attention. Check-in details hadn't arrived by 2pm, so I had to contact the hosts, and despite arriving in Chester-le-Street station at 3:12pm we couldn't access the apartment until 4pm, so had to wait in a cafe with our luggage. Otherwise, a comfortable stay & ideal base!

Very good location if visiting Beamish and surrounding area, excellent value for 3 people for a weekend. Positive: Location was brilliant. Easy to find when coming off the main road. Excellent outlook from lounge/diner. Plenty of facilities in the kitchen, well equipped, including tea towel, dish cloth and bin bag. Everything we needed and more. Nice shower room and towels. Negative: Only 1 criticism which is the large double bed leaves no space to walk round the bottom of the bed to get out to the bathroom. Needs repositioning in the room. The stairs down from car parking area were a bit slippy when wet,so beware.

Great for a short stay. Positive: Designated parking bay. Ideally located for what we wanted to do (Beamish museum), Lovely shower room with nice fluffy towels. Negative: Had to call the office for the key code when we arrived. Sorted, no problem. Dishwasher only did half a cycle, needs attention......we just washed up by hand after trying it twice. Mattress too short for bedframe, we managed for the time we stayed. Outdoor furniture needs an upgrade.

Home from home Positive: The ease of access, very convenient to have a key safe. The details are very well communicated. Great location for Beamish and other places we wanted to visit. Allocated parking. Good views ftom the back windows. Very clean , nicely decorated, homely Quier place. Negative: Can't think of anything

Positive: Great stay and location, comfortable rooms, very nice walk-in shower and a lovely quiet rear garden area. Excellent value for money and brilliant communication with the hosts throughout the booking. Would definitely recommend.

Great location for visiting Beamish. Very clean and well stocked. Space around main bed was a bit tight. Our main concern was that we were charged an extra 10% after purchasing the booking. Accidental cover was suggested, but was optional on the form. However, the day before our trip, we were told it was mandatory...without paying, we could not get key code. This had not been listed on the original advert.

The stay was perfect for our short visit. Everything was clean and comfortable. We thank Host and Stay’s for always being responsive and kind. Definitely hope to come again! Very close to Beamish a great place to visit if you stay here!

Disappointing but functional Positive: The location was great Negative: I wish I could rate this higher as it's a nice enough apartment. Unfortunately the beds were really uncomfortable and charging a £60 cleaning fee is ridiculous! Especially when the place stunk of dirty drains when we arrived and the shower head was covered in black mould. The apartment really needs some tlc, the patio doors need looking at, the WiFi was dropping out constantly and the fridge is struggling to keep anything cold without being turned up to the max. The excessive emails trying to sell us more stuff was really off putting too, to the point that we won't be booking again which is a shame as we're up there quite regularly and the apartments are ideally located for us. We have stayed in another apartment in the same block which was much nicer (and cheaper).

Value is good, but sort the bathroom out Negative: Bathroom awful - mould, old and not inkeeping with the rest of the place.

Okay apartment but kitchen and bathroom could do with a refurb. Nice outlook from apartment and very quiet. Location excellent for Beamish Museum. Excellent communication and information from Home & Stay.
