A gem of a property Positive: Our second stay here this year and we love this property. An absolute gem. Spacious, clean and in an excellent location. Our dog loves it and because it's enclosed, we know he is completely safe. The bed is so comfy, a huge bathroom with a lovely hot shower. Will definitely be booking here again

Spiral staircase mud in the treads. Semi frosted glass in bathroom door - could see people using the toilet. Only one towel each for three nights - asked for more but didn’t get them. Mattress topper too small for bed. Mildew in shower
A great base in easy walking distance of town centre and beach. Very clean house and arrival and departure made very easy. Really well equipped and comfortable. Safe enclosed area for our dog and even a few extra toys for his use in the shed. Only tiny point for improvement would be to oil the hinges on the bathroom door as very squeaky and noisy in the middle of the night, but that can be easily rectified. Overall a lovely stay.
Perfect stay Positive: Loved how quiet and peaceful it was , we didn't get to see anyone but that was OK , we had a lovely welcome card , bread , biscuits and milk . The accommodation was perfect , very large downstairs with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Upstairs was a massive bedroom and a lovely bathroom with a great shower . Walk to the beach 5 mins and walk to town 10 mins. The courtyard was perfect to let the dog out , would 100% recommend, thank you for a perfect stay. I haven't added any photos because the photos you see on here are exactly as it is. Negative: Loved it all.
A visit to Scarborough Positive: On opening the gate I was surprised to see a spacious courtyard and a well presented living quarter that was off the side of a large say Victorian era house. Entering the accomodation there was a welcoming card ,chocolate biscuits,milk and a loaf of bread supplied by the hosts whom I met a little later giving me a warm welcome and then left me to my hols ...nice people. The accomodation was quite spacious with a large open kitchen ,dinning room and comfy living room with TV. Up the spiral staircase you enter into the one main bedroom again a big comfy king-size double bed plenty of pillows clean bedding. Off the bedroom was the modern bathroom all kept well hot running water great large shower ,towels , toilet rolls and soap packs The courtyard was secure enough for me to let the dog out and the accomodation is situated about 5 mins from the beach front and is in a nice botanical gardens type of area. There is a bar just round the corner that looks popular and serves food also if you carry on up the road just round the corner there is a convenience shop(Morrisons). All in all great value for money off road parking and I would and hope to stay here again!!! Negative: The foggy Scarborough mist 😁😁
Great place and a short walk to Seafront etc. Everything was as described and the bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. Great living room / kitchen with very comfy coach and plenty of seating. Only comment would be for those taking dogs. The courtyard is very secure and private but it is all stone flags so if you have dogs that prefer to do their business on grass etc then you will have to go walkies but there are some good grassed areas within a 5 minute walk. Overall perfect for our short break with our dogs in Scarborough.
Excellent Positive: We had a lovely time and would stay here again. Location was perfect- good walking distance to south shore and centre. Dog friendly secure courtyard which was fantastic. Good parking facility .The apartment is spacious, clean and well maintained. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was good. Stairs were pretty steep but we knew that from the listing and did not personally find them a problem. All in all excellent stay. Alison & Mike x Negative: Nothing negative to report .
Excellent stay! Hope to revisit very soon. Positive: The location of the property was excellent within easy walk to the sea front, town centre and the local pub, which was literally next door. Access was easy albeit we had agreed an earlier arrival which caused a little confusion but all sorted. The layout of the accommodation is great but be aware there is a cast iron spiral staircase to the upper level so may not suite everyone. the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you may need and the added bonus is having the courtyard, particularly great if you have a dog and would be fantastic had we had a little more sun to sit out on the evening after days out walking. Shower is fantastic and more than enough storage space for clothing etc. Fab stay and will definitely be back. Thanks! Negative: Nothing really to dislike. Perhaps take out the single chair and put in a two seater sofa in the lounge area if possible as it was slightly cosy for two adults who wanted to stretch out in the evenings. By far not a deal breaker to be honest. The bed was great but the mattress for us was very soft (personal preference!). What would be a great addition is a BBQ to make the most of the outside space in the warmer months and maybe a small outside cabinet to put muddy boots.
Stop reading, just book this place Positive: The location was great, close enough to town and beach to be able to leave the car in the drive for a couple of days. House had a lovely secure courtyard for our dog. House had everything you need for a weekend break. Owner we met was lovely. Negative: Bed was slightly to soft for our liking, but not enough to stop us going back in the future. Maybe an extra bolt on the gate for added security might be good
A great stay, very nice hosts, very friendly and we had a wonderful time in Scarborough, thank you! Positive: Location was excellent. Hosts were very welcoming :) Everything inside the house was very new and clean. The parking was free! Very very dog friendly :) Negative: Check in at 4pm a little late for our liking, seeing as check out was quite strict with email reminders for 10 am, with a penalty for a late check out, a six hour turnaround could be a bit less? Maybe a 2pm max (like Most hotels)

A beautiful, spacious, well decorated and furnished house in short walking distance to Scarborough beach front and the main strip of cafes, restaurants, fish & chip take away’s and the arcades. Parking on the beach front is doable although traffic is slow, so it’s definitely quicker to walk down from the house. Cayton Bay is a short drive which is perfect for dogs - they’re allowed full access to the beach off-lead all year round. There’s also free on-street parking and a pay & display car park at this beach. The info pack in the house has parking discs - although we weren’t sure where these were eligible for but it’s very handy to have them :-). The house was clean, quiet, quirky. Very well equipped and we enjoyed the games selection on a rainy afternoon. Parking up is easy and the private, secure garden was perfect for our dog to enjoy. There’s a smart TV with a Netflix account for the guests to use which is a brilliant touch. You feel safe and cosy in this property.
I enjoyed a brilliant weekend (with my dog!) at The Courtyard. Lovely set up with lots of space and a sun-soaked courtyard for morning coffee and an evening beer. Also very useful for drying out swimming kit after being in the sea. Easily walkable to south bay and the old town. The welcome pack of food was amazing, so I didn’t have to immediately head to the shops, could relax and have a cuppa. Thanks so much.
Lovely spacious accommodation for 2 of us plus our fur baby. Short walk into the town which has some great places to eat. Would recommend Cayton Beach as a great place to take dogs. Overall a great short break.

We had the perfect stay in Scarborough! The courtyard was perfect, peaceful and just what we needed. We were in Scarborough for a wedding and wanted the extra space to get ready and have our own space. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Spotlessly clean, quirky with the spiral staircase and had absolutely everything and anything we could have needed. The owner even brought bread, milk, biscuits and a personalised card which was unexpected but so kind and thoughtful. We would not hesitate to recommend the courtyard and will stay here again. A home away from home!

Positive: This place was just what I needed. Tucked away behind a house so it was quiet, yet still walking distance to the sea front and amusements if I wanted them. It was lovely and cosy and had everything I could possibly need. The bed was so comfy and there was lots of room. Loved that the owners left a gift of a thank you card, a loaf of bread, milk and biscuits. Such a thoughtful touch. Negative: The stairs were spiral wrought iron stairs which could be difficult to go up for some people.

Stopped here last year, it is extremely comfortable and has its own off road parking, so ticks everything for us.

We wanted somewhere that was within walking distance of Oliver’s mount for the racing and this was it. A 10min walk got us to the bottom of the mount and a little bit longer to get to our viewing spot perfect! It was within easy walking distance to many of the restaurants etc and the seafront. Plenty of shops within easy distance for obtaining supplies The accommodation was clean and just as described with a lovely little courtyard. A nice little touch was the milk, croissants and biscuits and the welcome card on our arrival. Would definitely stay here again if coming back down to the motorcycle racing

Some bathroom Samples in a basket would have been welcomed. Very disappointing Positive: Spacious apartment. Parking on site was very useful. Reasonably quiet location. 20 minutes walk to the main beach. Comfy bed. There were some Yorkshire tea bags. Negative: The apartment was not clean. The company that hosted the property arranged for a re clean after we sent them several pictures of the dirty areas. This made a big improvement but the property is in need of a deep clean and some TLC. There were connecting doors to the main house and we could hear people talking in the rooms next door - this was the case in both the bedroom and the kitchen. This was not mentioned on the property description. I would not recommend this property to anyone. There was no welcome pack as described by other guests - just a few sachets of UHT milk and old coffee. The property did not match up with the glowing reviews from previous guests.
Nice peaceful stay and property exactly as described and everything spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Good location if have a car. Good sized private car parking and easy access to road network. Easy 15 minutes walk into town centre. For eating out, would highly recommend Askins (1st class Turkish / mez) and Giannis (Brilliant family run traditional Italian. Much more than pizza / pasta. My Sicilian sea bass was fantastic).

Everything inside was in excellent condition. The circular wrought iron staircase was a beautiful touch. Not something you see every day. It did take us a little effort to figure out the heating system, but once we did we could control it just fine. The fireplace in the bathroom was another unique touch. I have never seen that before.

Positive: No.47 is a beautifully decorated house with gorgeous fireplaces, large living and kitchen area, equipped with all mod cons. Spiral staircase is a lovely feature. Cute little secure outside area, that is well looked after. The area is nice to walk around, but very steep hills. The Courtyard is close to the main shops and beach. Negative: The lights for the stairs can only be turned on or off downstairs, a light switch at the top would be beneficial. I was made to feel uncomfortable on arrival, due to owner appearing in the bedroom via their-side locked access door, bless, she had gotten our dates mixed up and she apologised profusely and gifted us a lovely bottle of wine, but for me this made my anxiety high, waiting on the door to open again, it didn't and we didn't see or hear from them throughout our stay. Bedroom door wouldn't shut closed.

Checked in easily, the place was modern and very clean with everything we needed It was in a perfect location only 10 minutes walk from the sea-front and the Town,There was a pub either side of us,and a shop just round the corner,perfect location really,The owners were just next door but we never needed them,There was also a parking area.Couldn't have asked for more really.
Lovely apartment. Blinds are thin so very bright in the bedroom in the morning. Also couldn’t open the windows due to noisy seagulls, but that’s what you expect at the seaside ! But a fan would be helpful in the room. Also would have found an iron and ironing board a welcome addition. I had messaged prior to arrival but didn’t receive a response, so took my own iron . The constant reminders leading up to checkout weren’t necessary and I felt pressured to “get out” and 10am with the expectation of leaving the apartment as you found it felt a little early , just took the edge of a really lovely stay .
