A little gem of an apartment Positive: This is a great little apartment with two en-suite rooms. This meant my daughter and her friend had their own space. Spotlessly clean, great location and everything we needed in the kitchen. There’s also TV’s in both bedrooms which isn’t on the listing and made my daughter happy. Negative: Nothing, if being picky the sofa took a little time to get comfy on
the family and me wanted to go away last minute for a couple nights and found this lovely place, enjoyed every second here. a close walk to the beach which was very convenient. host was lovely and got back quickly when i had any questions. would stop again ☺️
Lovely light and airy apartment, very well maintained and equipped in a good location for both the beach and the town. There was some noise from the early morning trains and the hotel due to a party on the Friday evening but we did choose to sleep with the windows open as it was warm weather. It took us a while to find the property as Apple Maps took is to the other end of marine parade. Parking was tricky as access is narrow but we managed ok. All information sent was timely and useful. The host was very helpful and replied promptly. There’s a handy Sainsbury’s a few minutes away and some great restaurants in the town. We enjoyed Seaview Restaurant for great fish and seafood, Jadoo for a curry and Coco & Rum for delicious Thai food. Would definitely consider staying again.
Very enjoyable, comfortable and lovely play to stay in Saltburn. Would definitely book again. Positive: The apartment was finished to a very high specification and had everything you needed on arrival. We were grateful for the pint of milk for a brew after our 2 1/2 hour journey! The location is fantastic and near to all the amenities and restaurants nearby. Negative: There was nothing not to like about this apartment. Perfect.

A very pleasant bolt hole while walking part of the Cleveland Way. Positive: It’s beautifully decorated and well equipped, efficient heating and plenty of hot water. Very well placed for train and bus services, plenty of cafes and shops nearby. Negative: The double bed mattress is uncomfortable and it would be nice to have some thinner pillows. We were worried when we found the door unlocked after a day out. Nothing of value had been taken, only some biscuits. I explained to the management and they said nobody should have entered the property. They also said they would replace the doorlock and review security.
Lovely apartment, very well equipped, great decor. Comfortable beds and bedding. Very clean and well presented. Lovely accessible showers. Just a couple of minor things, the kitchen could have done with a colander or sieve. The stairs up to the property are metal Fire escape style steps. My dog was a little cautious at first. My mum struggled a little but hand rails are all there for support there are 3 short flights. The town is close by and supermarkets, lovely walks to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Really nice stay and will be back. Positive: Lovely, clean apartment. Seems like everything is either new or very nearly new. Comfy beds, good showers, very nice kitchen and the location is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre, and less than that to the cliff tops Negative: We managed with warmer clothes, but It got colder at night and it was hard to keep the living areas warm. The bedrooms were ok, but the radiators in the living room didn't seem to come on, even if you put the temp up a little
Came up for a sad reason, our sisters inquest. But where we stayed made it a pleasant few days. Positive: Excellent location, very clean, and lovely touches. In a lovely location, everyone very friendly. Negative: We had a problem with some flies in the property, we think they woke up, when we put the heating on. We spoke to the owner and the problem was rectified immediately.
Ideal location. Lovely apartment.
Positive: The apartment looked newly decorated and furnished. It was spotless and had a well equipped kitchen. The coach house is part of Saltburn House Hotel so we could have booked for breakfast and sit on their terrace with a drink. We travelled by train to Saltburn where there is no left luggage facility so we were very appreciative of the hotel allowing to leave our luggage there before and after our booking. Negative: The kitchen had a knife block full of knives . I don't like to see this number of knives visible so put the block away in a cupboard.

The Coach house at Saltburn stay Positive: Great layout all areas decorated to a great standard kitchen layout especially great for such a small space hairdryers and toiletries were a fantastic such as was the teacher coffee and milk most welcome after our journey. Negative: The crunches looked great but boy were they uncomfortable and a non slip mat for the showers would make me personally feel safer
Fabulous stay 15.8-22.8.26 Positive: Beautifully appointed apartment in a fantastic location. Easy for us to get to and from the beach. Cleaning staff were very approachable and helpful when we saw them too. Modern decor which i liked. Showers were hot and powerful. Loved that both bedrooms had en suites. Our teenage son was a fan! Negative: It's a shame the hotel in front of the coach house hasn't had a spruce up, especially externally as it could put people off as they drive up. Parking is available but tricky and we hit our car turning that tight corner!. Having said that parking nearby was easy. Could be better in terms of signs indicating where parking is too. I would invite host and stay to add a peeler and grater in the kitchen. Other than that we had everything we needed. I saw reviews re the sofas... they were not that bad but again for a family of 4 you may wish to consider a bigger sofa or adding a couple of comfy chairs . We ended up bringing the chairs from the bedrooms into living room. Also, additional draws in bedrooms would be handy! Not only for clothes but to put things on like toiletries. Light in living room (stand up) is very dim. Could do with a brighter bulb.
Lovely bright spacious property ideal for 4 people. Positive: Spacious, 2 shower rooms, generally very clean and tidy. Very nice to have toiletries and other basics supplied. Negative: A couple of small extras like coffee filter, sweeping brush and a fan would have made it a great stay.
PROS The flat itself was really nice. Absolutely spotless and quite large. Very quiet. Communication was quick when asked. Nice thought about having milk :-) CONS It was hard to find initially. It is behind the hotel. I think it would be useful to give better directions. I think it is linked to the hotel, but I needed to ask a few staff. Once I found it, it was really no problem though :-)
Beautiful, modern apartment in a fantastic location. Incredibly clean apart from the floors (see below) Lovely showers in the en-suites - we all commented about the fantastic water pressure was, and the single beds were definitely comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. Only gripes were: the floor needed a good mop - as shown by our socks, and the sofas are incredibly uncomfortable. Car parking said two spaces. There were none available in the designated spot the whole time we were there. Luckily, we got parked on the street behind. Other than that, amazing value for money. Three tired teachers had a lovely relaxing time - a great base for exploring the area.
Great location otherwise and great restaurants and cafes. People very helpful and friendly. Positive: Just been refurbished so great kitchen and en suite shower rooms. Negative: The driveway to the property was very tight as was parking. A bit confusing as a car was parked there which shouldn’t have been almost blocking us in. Very uncomfortable couches and televisions seemed to be streaming mostly with no live terrestrial channels. No hooks on en-suite doors.
Negative: When we arrived the dirty bedding was still on the beds, the dirty towels still on the floor no clean towels anywhere, host and stay were not interested , other than could I send photos of the mess when the internet didn’t work, this internet not working has been mentioned many times in past reviews. Booking .com said they would help us there help was to find vacancies in Norfolk, derby, we were in Yorkshire on public transport, I have used booking.com for years but never again, we were 2 elderly ladies left with nowhere to stay at 6pm on a Sunday evening and no support from booking.com or host and stay, SHOCKING SERVICE
Lovely, light apartment in a great location Positive: Clean, light, well equipped and in an excellent location. Close to shops, the beach and the railway station. Negative: Car park is a little difficult to get to in a larger car.
Saltburn breather. Positive: Lovely airy, modern apartment. The corridor leading up to the apartment was fitted with motion dedection lights which was a great feature. The kitchen area was very stylish and once we worked out how to operate the hob it was all systems go to a full English breakfast. The kitchen was equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine which we did not use but will certainly be of benefit to other visitors. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of each bedroom and having ensuite to both provided vital time and space saving when getting ready. Negative: Not anything I didn't like.. only negative was the ommission of a tin opener in the kitchen.
Adequate but we're unlikley to return. Positive: The location was very convenient for the shops and promenade. The kitchen was bright, clean and well equipped (except no grill tongs). The 3 TVs were big and had streaming services. the showers were powerful and the shower cubicles large. Negative: Parking was very tight with a small tight bend to negotiate. There was no live, terrestrial TV channels and the bedroom TVs were too high up the wall. There were no instructions for the dishwasher or cooker and wifi didnt work all our stay - and we got no reply when emailing the contact. The double bedroom overlooked a building site and the toilet was very low - I felt like I was on a junior school loo. The sofas, table and chairs seem to have been bought for looks and weren't comfortable and were flimsy. We only used the oven once and it hadn't been cleaned from the last guests and poured out smoke when opened after pre-warming to cook. The stairs up to the flat were metal like an inside fire escape and not nice to use.
This will be a great stay after the teething issues have been ironed out. Positive: The property is in a great location. The beds were comfortable. Power shower is great. It was clean but there were marks on the walls. Negative: The sofas are great for relaxing on. Quite hard and uncomfortable. There was no WiFi and after looking for the router to reset we still couldn’t find it. The onsite car park is terrible. Can’t see the point in telling anyone you’re coming with a car if they are going to be loads in a small space.
If the few niggles could be addressed it would be exceptional. Would we come back absolutely Positive: Extremely clean. Great layout. 2 bathrooms a bonus. Fabulous location. Staff in the hotel very friendly. Negative: Sofas and double bed not comfy. Curtains in bedroom a must. Patchy WiFi. Pigeons!
Our first experience with Host & Stay will definately mean we look to them again. The appartment was absoloutely spotless and comfortable. It had all the things one needed. If in the area again, would definately seek to rebook.

Great location Positive: Location and decor Negative: The TVs and internet didn’t work for the first night and day and I had to email then call to sort the problem myself. No one told us that they had an engineer out and there was new login information we needed. Also kitchen could do with afew more things
Great 2 bed apartment Positive: Apartment was beautiful, would stay there again and recommend Negative: Metal stairs difficult,but accessible. No light in doorway when you access the key pad ,had to use phone light, and no instructions for TV , dishwasher or heating

The apartment was immaculate and as described. We felt at home and it has everything you need for a short break. Location is great and lots of shops and restaurants close by. Would definitely come back if we visit the area again!
Positive: Very clean new apartment. Negative: Difficult to find, it is behind Saltburn House Hotel, and to reach parking you must drive up the front of Saltburn House Hotel and you may need to move outdoor chairs. Check there is space before you drive up as it is tight parking area. On road parking was free, and close, but we wanted to park at the property for security, as we had equipment on top of the car.
The apartment has everything needed for a short stay. Although, the property entrance was difficult to locate and the vehicle entrance very ‘tight’. The kitchen was well equipped but like the rest of the property was short on storage space. The theme was for functionality rather than comfort and the double bed didn’t afford a good nights sleep. The 2 ensuite bathrooms were good. Finally, a little more attention to detail when cleaning would have been appreciated as would a small vacuum cleaner.

Apartment is lovely. Spacious, clean, well furnished and equipped. It was lovely. However we did find it difficult to find and to access parking. It is located behind the hotel and access to parking is gained via very narrow track to the right of the hotel. We couldn’t get our car around that and if we had would have had trouble parking. This was a bit disappointing as we had chosen this because it had parking. However we found parking on the road. This didn’t ruin our stay as really liked the apartment coffee, tea, sugar and milk were provided. Location is good. Would return.
Nice, modern apartment in an old building. Close to the shops and the sea. Positive: Nice location. Very clean and looks like recently renovated as everything was very new. Negative: Directions were terrible. Took an age to find the place. Called Host and Stay and the lady tried to help but couldn’t and just re-sent the welcome pack. Hopefully that will be fixed asap. The double bed was not at all comfortable as others have noted.
We recently enjoyed our stay for a long weekend at the Coach House, Apt 1. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with all required amenities to hand. The location is very well placed for walks down to the harbour and along the coast. It’s a few minutes walk to the centre and train station. Responses from the hosts on any queries we had were very quick. Although there is a pub within the grounds we heard no noises as the apartments are set round the rear. A few tips for future guests - we found no wine glasses, so remember to bring your own. The apartment could do with some coat hooks and we found the two single beds much more comfier than the double. I’d recommend parking on the front as, although there is a small area for parking, it was extremely tight to get to it. All in all, I’d recommend the coach house for a long weekend break to saltburn on sea.
