Great house in the heart of Alnmouth. Very close to everything, pubs, restaurants, etc. Great for walks with the dog.

A lovely holiday home in a great location. Lovely living and dining space and well equipped for dining and entertaing in. Safe enclosed garden for the dogs. Easy walk to the high street and the beach. Had a great stay.

Lovely week in Alnmouth Positive: The location is great. We love Alnmouth - it's a thriving village with nice shops, pubs and restaurants and it's right on the coast and accessible for Northumbria's beautiful beaches. The house is extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped and just a few minutes walk from the village. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog. Negative: Not a big fan of plastic grass but loved everything else about the house.

Most comfortable place we have stayed in Positive: Great location Just a short walk to the beach . Kitchen well stocked had everything you need . Loved the dining room . Beds comfortable . Outside space was great for sitting and relaxing in the evening. Nice enclosed space for the dog Negative: One little thing , loads of clocks in the property but none worked . Maybe just need new batteries.

The house was very comfortable and clean with good amenities. Unusually for Alnmouth there was parking onsite. The house was also pet friendly and pet safe. The village was in easy walking distance with fantastic beaches and a golf course. And of course great local pubs and coffee shops. The fresh clean air was amazing , highly recommend this Airbnb

Great house near the sea Positive: Great little house, everything you need. Very clean. Great enclosed garden for the dog. Brilliant position - round the corner from 3 good pubs and access to the beach at the end of the road. Negative: Bathroom sink a bit high. Bed a bit narrow. But that's just nitpicking really!

Lovely house, Excellent location Positive: Very spacious, comfy beds, nice small outside space. Very close to restaurants and pubs in Alnmouth, and good for walking the dogs. Negative: There’s a gate at the back of the property, but there’s a gap on the hinge side, and my dog got out. Luckily a neighbour managed to catch her.

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the Chimneys (4 adults and a small dog). Property is well laid out with everything you need and within walking distance to Alnmouth centre and the beach. Description of the accommodation was as described and communication with the host was excellent. Parking is available however it is quite tight for a big car; parking is also available on the road at the front of the property. Overall a great choice for a stay in Alnmouth and surrounding areas, highly recommend.

Beautiful location and a lovely house which has an old world charm! had a pleasant stay with family. The only 2 things I would recommend adding are a crib cot and high chair to help families with small babies. overall a happy experience:)

Positive: The location and the downstairs space. Negative: The low level cooker hood. Very sharp edges! Have to keep remembering to dodge The toilet door sticks. Got stuck inside 😵‍💫 The parking is awkward outside the property. Bathroom step. Quite difficult to manoeuvre and shower very low. We do have tall members of the family so it was a problem for showering.

Large, lovely house but style over function Positive: Large, lovely house in a great location. Close to village shop, beach, nice pubs & transport links. Very light and airy. Plenty of space for all. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and utensils. One issue that arose was sorted immediately. Negative: The bathroom was poorly designed, making it really difficult to use the sink or mirror. The huge marble dining table was far too big for a family meal. The kitchen didn't have any basics like tea, coffee, salt & pepper. There were no beside tables & the main bed was really high which meant you couldn't just keep your book/ phone/ glasses on the floor beside you. There's an additional £25 insurance that they insist you take out, which was hidden in the small print.

Fantastic location, beautiful property and great local pubs and places to eat. Visited with our friends and two dogs and there was plenty of space for us all. Went for some lovely walks and enjoyed the local pubs and restaurants. The nearby beach is great for walks with the dogs and the Red Lion pub is a particular favourite for both drinks and food. A wonderful long weekend was had by all.

Very relaxing, great local walks. Positive: The location is excellent as is the parking space. The lounge space is excellent and comfortable. Negative: the outside seating area is becoming untidy and weedy, general kitchen cleaning equipment and at least a kitchen roll could be provided. The kitchen hob had not been cleaned after the previous visitor.

We had a lovely stay, and would recommend this nice cottage to others! Great open plan kitchen/living space, and very comfy beds. Alnmouth is gorgeous village - we enjoyed a good local walk, a swim in the sea and excellent fish & chips with lovely service at The Whittling House

Positive: Perfectly situated, spacious even if a family were staying, there was just the two if us. Clean and tidy, comfortable setees, all facilities needed for a weekend away Negative: The.only thing I'd say is there is an issue with the flush on the downstairs wc, the fall on the waste pipe probably incorrect as it would take 3-4 flushes to empty the.bowl.

Simply perfect. Positive: The house was just perfect! The downstairs space is excellent, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfy lounge and a lovely dining room too which we used as a room to play games in the evening. Upstairs had two good bedrooms and a bathroom with a great shower. We couldn’t have asked for any more. It also had a lovely outside space. The location was excellent. At the bottom of the steps you could turn left to walk the very short walk into town and onto the beach. If you turned right you could walk along the estuary and onto the beach. And the beach is just wonderful. Negative: Nothing…apart from the fact we couldn’t stay for longer. We were both so sad that our holiday had to come to an end.

We had a great stay at this house with our young kids for three nights. The living space was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. It’s only a five minute walk to Alnmouth high street or down the estuary to the playground for the kids.

Positive: Location was excellent for us as we were playing Alnmouth Golf Course.

Warm, cosy and relaxing base to explore beautiful coastline. Positive: Lovely property, very nicely decorated, modern but cosy and comfortable, near to village centre and beach and a good base for walking the beautiful coastline. Excellent.

Clean and comfy in a great location Positive: Great home in a really good location. Everything you could need, dishwasher, loads of pots and pans, ample seating and comfy beds. The house was very clean and walking distance to the beach and golf club, there is a bus stop very close by if you don't want to drive during your break. Negative: Parking is very, very tight. We have an estate car and it was very difficult to get in and out. Fortunately there is ample street parking at the back of the house, with steps and back gate directly from the garden, this made it much easier.

We walked Northumberland coastal path btw Cresswell and Seahouses. Property was ideal for location to town, bus stop an Positive: Good internal space. Downstairs toilet a bonus. Detailed as 1 bathroom so didn’t expect it. Conveniently located near bus stop. Negative: The access from Main Street up the steps at night there is no lighting. It was dry during our week but envisage could be hazardous if wet so lighting would essential along with caution signage.

We enjoyed a couple of peaceful days in the property. The accommodation was ideal. Just a short walk into the village.

Everything fantastic but very odd the TV in the bedroom was very odd that there was only one and it wasn’t in the master room with the larger bed.

We had a very comfortable time. The Chimneys was very close to the beach and village whilst being very quiet and peaceful. When we are in the area again we would love to stay there.

It was the second year staying at the Chimneys as it was perfect the first year! The only downside was to find the property is now for sale. I couldn't find any faults and felt very relaxed and comfortable in a beautiful house in a beautiful place.

Amazing location and very spacious home! Wonderful with our big dog. Great location with lots of lovely pubs nearby and the beach! We had a gorgeous morning swim at sunrise.

Lovely place, lots of space and great location a short walk to the heart of the village. Two minor issues - shower-room not designed for anyone above average height (get ready to do the splits in the shower and at the sink!), plus cheeky agents trying to make ££ on early check-in when the place was already clean. All in all, a great place, very comfy, clean, lots of space for the whole family to relax, outside decking lovely in the evening sun. Recommended👍

Seamless process and good access to the village and dog walking options

This was a fantastic find. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Beds very comfy and sofas too. Kitchen was great and well equipped. Beautiful place to stay and close to other Towns and villages and shops if needed. 100% recommend, and for dogs too xx

Restful Positive: Good location Negative: Didn't like the shaky stair banister its a potential H&S issue or the downstairs toilet door not opening properly the door was hard to pull open due to scraping on the floor

One of the best we have stayed in! Positive: Excellent location for Alnmouth centre and for exploring the Northumberland coast. The property was very spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had pretty much all you could need. Negative: Whilst I completely understand the 4pm check in time is stated for a reason, my only niggle was that I messaged to ask if I could be notified if the property happened to be ready any earlier (even if just half hour). I was told it had to be 4pm just in case it was still being cleamrd and I wouldn't be notified even if it was ready any earlier. It wasn't essential but most other places we have stayed in would usually message if the property did become ready earlier that's all. Not a complaint as rules are rules! We loved our stay here!!

A real home from home place to stay, with short walk to the beach and lots of eating places and wonderful delicatessen. The beds were very comfortable.

Absolutely a pleasant place to stay. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. It is conveniently located right opposite the bus station, making it easy to get around. The host was also very helpful and responsive, always providing useful reminders in advance and replying promptly to any questions. Highly recommended!

A fabulous stay at The Chimneys. Great location for everything Alnmouth has to offer. A five minute stroll into the centre - some lovely restaurants. Accommodation perfect - spotless and really well equipped - though it took a wee hunt to find the freezer in the coat cupboard! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We had a lovely stay at The Chimneys. The property was very comfortable, and super clean and tidy. Very easy walking distance to Alnmouth village, and to the beach. Really easy check-in, but expensive for a slightly earlier check-in. Parking space was teeny so we weren't able to make use of it.

We enjoyed our stay in Alnmouth. The house is spacious, nice living space, bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Alnmouth is lovely, nice places to eat and drink, lovely beach walks a few minutes away and convenient bus to Alnwick, where further less regular buses go to some great locations. Cragside was my highlight, Alnwick Castle really worth a visit, Bamburgh Castle less so. Beautiful countryside, many great places to stop for food out. Minor things with the house, would be nice to access Netflix, iPlayer ect, but tv was basic. The dining area slight odour, maybe needed a bit of an air. Overall the house was good, comfortable and I would return.

We have had a fabulous week at the Chimneys. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. It was so well situated. The furniture bedding towels etc are very good quality. The weather was so good that we did quite a few walks from the house particularly along the beach. There is a good choice of pubs and restaurants where you can eat. The only small criticism I would make is that it is difficult to reach the bathroom washbasin because of the step in front of it. Having said that we would certainly return.

Perfect in every way. The Chimneys is a spacious property in a quiet location on the edge of Alnmouth with a bus stop across the road for travel to Amble, Alnwick and places beyond. Pristine clean; lots of places to sit indoors and outdoors; comfy beds. Beach, shops and cafes/ restaurants all handy. Couldn’t ask for more

Excellent Positive: The house was lovely, everything was high spec and felt quite new. Loved the dining room. Location was great, walking distance to shops, restaurants and coast. Surrounding countryside is lovely, not much traffic and not too busy with visitors. Lots of places of historical interest to visit and stunning beaches. We were lucky with the weather which helped Negative: Some instructions re: central heating, dishwasher would have been helpful. We figured it out eventually. No streaming services available. Only one set of keys is not enough, especially for 4 people Communication with Host and Stay was very unsatisfactory. We didn’t get the joining instructions a week before as we were advised in writing. I had to phone up to be told that the system had changed and they were now only giving one days notice. They hadn’t bothered to contact customers who were affected by this change. The reason for the change was that some people getting into apartments a day early. Not my problem! We ended up being given two different key codes which was pretty stressful the day before you’ve got a long journey.

The house was comfortable, it had everything you could need and had a lovely, private outside space. The location was excellent for walks, with the beach and local amenities 10 minutes away. Negative: Nothing.

Great place in a fab location. There were few niggles when we arrived that were not resolved by the management company in the 3 days we were there. Took the shine off things a bit. Very late check in and early check out unless you pay £30, which is extortionate.

Positive: Beautiful, light, spacious property with lovely views which felt quiet and relaxed even though it's close to a road. The sofas were very comfy too! Really well located to get to anything you want in Alnmoth, Alnwick, Warkworth etc Decor finished to a high standard and the place stayed nice and warm despite being very open plan downstairs. Negative: Wasn't pleased that there was only 1 loo roll per bathroom when we were there for several nights. Felt like it would have been a small thing to have available given the cost, and no more offered when I asked about it. Beds were ideal if you like a firm mattress - a bit too hard for me but everyone's different!

The accommodation was excellent, finished to a very high standard. It had its own private parking which was a great bonus. I will be booking again Negative: The one thing that we did miss was a welcome guide,although we were sent an online guide to access on our phones, you can't beat the hard copy in your hands, and if you're not tech savvy it would cause a slight inconvenience

V stressful - they sent me a text. Asking me to vacate the property today 13 June despite the fact that we had agreed to Positive: +location +comfort and space on the ground floor + facilities such as washer, dryer, large fridge + outside space +comfortable beds +two toilets + fact that they have responded to other feedback such as leaving milk/tea/coffee/sugsr Negative: - fact that although we used booking.com this was only a link to another agent not the actual owners - as a result of the above we have been bombarded with emails and texts throughout our stay …many of which were inaccurate - some of these emails were about the fact that we had to pay a £25 damage waiver - this seemed to be a term that was not alluded to at the time of booking although if you dig deep enough you can find it. You have no choice but to pay as they will not release the key code without it. - even then (after paying said waiver) we received emails about it which sounded a bit threatening.and prompting me to send a long email back which included, amongst other things m, a list of faults at the property

Negative: The windows were dirty, especially the lounge which were really bad. Frying pans were awful & need replacing. No trays for oven. Not much space in kitchen cupboards for food. Parking was a very short space for a big car.
