Hayton near Brampton in Cumbria. Positive: Spacious accommodation with a well equipped kitchen plus amble space for my adult family to relax in. The village has a friendly local pub, which serves hot food, should wish to eat out and socialise. We also participated in a few walks around Hayton, a delightful activity for the summer visitor. Hayton also has a decent playground for younger families to enjoy. Negative: The kidults thought that the shower was underwhelming, but it does the job just fine. If you have problems climbing stairs, then consider an alternative place to stay. There is nothing else to report.

Lovely house very well equipped. Much better than the photos showed. Very peaceful. Log fire was lovely when the family came back cold after a long walk. Everyone was soon warmed up. Well equipped kitchen. Friendly pub a short walk up the road.

Comfortable, clean, peaceful and spacious for our family of 5, had everything we needed for an away from home stay. Within driving distance for the Lake District. Would come again !

The Beeches is a welcoming warm and cosy place. Tucked away and well equipped. The pantry is lovely with enough equipment to cook a family meal and even bake. The Christmas decorations dotted throughout the house were stylish; just enough to make it really homely. The area is perfect for dog walks too. And the boot room very handy. Thank you for a lovely stay we will return

Lovely accommodation, not really pet friendly, shame about the parking and garden Positive: Lovely and clean inside really good size bedrooms, Negative: We were told that the garden was secure and it was not as you had to put up a temporary fence which the neighbours took down so making it NOT secure. Since we asked directly about the secure garden, we were extremely disappointed to find out that there was nowhere that was secure for the dog to be outside, so constantly had to be on the lead, which was not ideal. Also, the driveway was shared making parking very tight for two larger cars as the neighbours at the back needed access. There was a beer bottle full of cigarette butts left on the patio and randomly egg shells all over the front lawn, again no ideal for pets

lovely place to stay only draw down for me on my own was a small TV and for some reason there was no way that I found to turn the upstairs landing lights on from down stairs so you had to leave light on downstairs go upstairs switch on then come down to turn downstairs light off minor inconvenience but overall didn't detract

excellent stay for hadrian's wall by car Positive: location was ideal for hadrian's wall if you have a car. the house was clean and the facilities were excellent. daughter was happy to have her own room. great communication from host. we had an amazing time. Negative: everything was fine.

The Beeches was comfortable, clean and tidy. The surroundings were beautiful and it was a short drive to lots of historical places of interest. We had everything we needed. Even a garage to store the bikes. Thanks 🤩

Lovely house Positive: Lovely house; did not use many of the amenities (e.g., cooker, washing machine, etc.) as only there for 2 nights on our way back from Scotland. We all slept well, the beds were comfortable. Great community pub a few doors down, not open every night though. Negative: A complaint for all places we visited this summer was that the back bedrooms were boiling, especially the top bedroom - please close the curtains to keep the sun out! Luckily, as we arrived around 4.30pm had a chance to cool them down before bedtime. Plenty of tea, coffee, condiments, etc but would have liked a small milk left as well, as no local shops.

Lovely house, nice and clean. Walking distance from the pub and church we needed to visit.

Positive: Rooms were really good and spacious. Internet was very good and handy. Good range of facilities to use. Negative: Shower water pressure was not very strong. Driveway was extremely narrow and difficult with a larger car/van.

Hayton, nr Carlisle Positive: The location in Hayton alongside the great location the proximity to the lake district. Inside the house was maintained to a very high standard. Property description is accurate (see vendor info). Negative: Nothing specific, all issues with the property where resolved promptly.

Beautiful house in an absolutely gorgeous village . The local pub served us some amazing food and there was a great atmosphere as well as a very cosy bar with a log fire . The family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the view from the top bedroom was worth climbing the extra flight of stairs ! Thank you

Village was peaceful and attractive, with a great pub doing food just 5 mins walk from the property.House was comfortable & clean, thank you. Good kitchen utensils, plenty crockery, mugs, glasses etc plus teabags, salt, pepper, oil etc on hand.

A very pleasant property to stay in. Positive: The property was as expected from the listing, clean and comfortable. Quite spacious and well laid out, comfy beds, good bed linen. Well equipped kitchen although I would recommend the addition of a tea pot and a roll of paper towels. The property is well placed in a lovely village. Negative: The house was cold when we arrived although the heating was on but only on low, this was unfortunate as it was the coldest weekend of the year. It took the whole weekend to heat up the lounge even when other parts of the house were fine. There were supposed to be logs provided for the log burner but there were none. So obviously not checked beforehand for bad weather. There was also an issue with the dorma window on the top floor, very noisy at night.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The place was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The location was perfect, and we felt right at home. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Fab house - beds ridiculously comfy and the house is so clean and welcoming. Will definitely stay ag Positive: Hayton farm shop and cafe - beautiful food... breakfast served between 10:00 and 11:30am and is a 2-3 minute drive from the house.

A beautiful village with a lovely pub and some cracking amenities around. The house was lovely and charming and just as described. Felt very safe and relaxed. Would definitely book again.

The Beeches Fitted our needz perfectly

The house is in a nice village with parking for at least 2 cars, and it was clean and in good condition. Overall it was comfortable and the kitchen facilities were good, with ketchup, cooking oil, salt/pepper, and some coffee/teabags provided. The nearby small pub is also welcoming and nice. One small gripe was that the thermostat seemed to reset to 15deg randomly meaning it was cold until you noticed and turned it back up, but this may be our fault for not understanding the settings. There were also no matches provided for the fireplace. We found some delays in communication which wasn’t a massive issue, but because the property is managed by a company, called Host & Stay, you get automated responses before someone replies after a couple of hours. In the end I had to phone the company for the lockbox code to get in, but that’s no reflection on the house itself which is good otherwise.

Only drawback was only 1 bathroom/toilet Really peaceful location and lovely local pub Pantry and cupboard off kitchen was really useful Location was perfect for our needs The place was beautifully decorated Would definitely use again when back in the area
