Positive: Great place to stay, loads of space and very comfortable. Would highly recommend for a group

Had a terrible experience when the host cancelled our booking on the morning of our booking start day, while we were travelling, stating double booking excuse. Cancellation was shocking because we booked a month in advance and the host was sending welcome and reminder messages till the night before our booking start date. As a group of 11 people inclusing kids were left in awkward situation and had no option but to book something else at higher cost at different location. They are Unreliable so think twice before you book them.

The Barn was perfect for our group, getting together to meet for our annual get together and as a base for the surrounding area. Peaceful surroundings and a well kitted out kitchen, plus a short drive to Tideswell for pubs, restaurants and a local shop.

Beautiful house which was perfect for our group. We had a lovely few days and the secluded location was nice. Just far enough away from town.

The Barn was lovely and we had a great time as a group of 10 people staying here. The village of Tideswell is a short walk from the Barn and there are other close by towns like Bakewell and Buxton that we visited. The Barn itself was lovely and stocked with almost everything we needed, the rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The TV in the living room was also very good and the instruction manual was there to help us when we needed. Kitchen was well-stocked and allowed us to cook whole meals for all of us with ease. Would definitely recommend!

Hello, We enjoyed our stay. The location was beautiful and the property spacious for 8 adults and dogs.We would return but unfortunately the overall cleanliness puts us off. It felt as though the property had not been thoroughly dusted for some time; very dirty skirting boards and hairs hanging from cobwebs. Upstairs smelt so damp we had to leave a fan on constantly. The kitchen could have done with an extra fridge when hosting larger groups and we found very mouldy crockery. Thank you

Large farmhouse well equipped, I didn't find it dirty as some previous comments had said. There were 9 in total and I do think it would be a squeeze to house 12 comfortably for a long period of time (ie a week or more), and there was not enough cutlery, plates for 9 to eat let alone 12 (I think at breakfast there weren't enough bowls so some used side plates). But all in all a nice stay with the lovely village of Tideswell and easy walk away (down hill, small lane).

we had a lovely holiday and the space and location were great. The home has pretty much everything you need (except a bread knife!) There were 9 of us and the bedroom layout was perfect. The only downside was the home wasn't as clean as it could have been (initially it looked great but when you looked closer, some areas could have been cleaned better). It could do with a lick of paint to brighten it up. The downstairs shower drains very slowly and you had to be careful it didn't overflow. also the downstairs toilet had water stains by the end of the week. Other than that, it's a great location and a lovely spacious house. we would happily stay again

Had a lovely weekend apart from dirty floors and dirty under beds. Fridge far too small for 9 adults and 3 children. Bed downstairs very uncomfortable. Outside space much smaller than anticipated. Inside space good. Good area not too far from places to visit

We had a 3-nights stay at this house as a group of 5 adults and 4 kids. Like the previous reviews say, it's a well-located and well-equipped house, great for a large group, especially as every bedroom has an en suite. Some parts of the house would definitely benefit from a deeper clean and a lick of paint, but overall we had a nice time.

Nice large house in a lovely part of the Peak District. We stayed comfortably as a group of 6 adults and 6 kids and found everything we needed at the house. Information about the house could have been better presented and house needs a little bit of upkeep but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The people next door even allowed the kids to see their horse and pony and have a little ride which they really enjoyed. Fabulous time.

The host was very responsive and communicated well. The accommodation was a good size for 6 adults and 6 children although the fridge was smaller than average and not sufficient for 12 people for 3 nights. The space was generally clean although some areas could have done with a bit more attention. Overall it was good value for money and lovely place to stay with friends for a weekend getaway.

Ideal for a multi-generation family get-together. Comfortable bedrooms, and the underfloor heating meant that the sitting room was cosy at night. Pretty good facilities in the kitchen - the dishwasher was a real boon! Beds were comfortable. Very well situated for a good range of walking trails ( we did part of the Monsal Trail.) And not too far for days out in Buxton, Bakewell or Matlock.

Perfect for a retreat or a party for a family who love the outdoors (and cooking) Positive: Lots of room; good bathrooms with excellent showers; comfortable chairs; delightfully rural location; terrific oven and cook-top; very well equipped kitchen. Lots of opportunity for runs, climbs and walks. Negative: The fridge is a bit small for a party of 10; the lights over the sink were not functioning which was annoying but not serious; we could have done with some cleaning cloths and also a pizza wheel.

Good property and location Positive: Location and privacy Negative: Broken fridge and blocked drain in sinks and showers. Tatty walls with damp stains

Beautiful well equipped kitchen. Very spacious comfortable lounge. The nearby village of Tideswell is idyllic. WiFi was sketchy but that's understandable considering the location.

This was a lovely place to stay at in a quiet area. The hosts were great and responsive. The kitchen had everything that was needed and some very comfortable sofas in the loving room. Would definitely return in the future.
