Would stay again, but again, wouldn't recommend this for a family visit. A group of adults is better Positive: Very easy, once we showed them the booking confirmation at the GoLocal shop around the corner, we got the keys with instructions. Negative: I really liked the venue, but definitely a few things to consider. I wouldn't travel here with family as there was a lot of student parties going on around the venue. Was ok for us, but would imagine difficult with a small child.

Just returned from our 4 night stay at the Baltic Penthouse 2. Great location and everything is within walking distance. We did have a few issues upon arrival, but this was soon addressed and did not impact our stay here. A lovely weekend with family in Liverpool.

Upon our arrival, we encountered several inconveniences. Firstly, we had to retrieve the keys from a convenience store two blocks away, which was quite inconvenient after a tiring journey from California and three kids. Despite requesting an early check-in and a late check-out (11 pm check-in and 1 pm check-out), we were informed that we would be charged 5 pounds per luggage at the office. This resulted in additional Uber rides and discomfort for my family, particularly one of my children who was unwell. To add to the frustration, we had to vacate the property by 10 am on the day of check-out and wait for hours with all our luggage, contrary to our agreed check-out time. I strongly believe that these inconveniences should have been properly addressed,. Luckily, our stay at an Airbnb in London was a stark comparison, as it was truly enjoyable. It's disappointing that this experience was marred by such simple inconvenience

Great location, walkable to many sights of Liverpool, and comfortable/spacious apartment for a family of 4. Beds and shower pressure were good quality, kitchen table is expansive, and the living room is a fabulous space to gather and enjoy the views. We unfortunately did not have a positive check in experience. I messaged repeatedly asking for instructions and specifically asked for the address to pick up the keys for the Uber driver, noting that I would not have internet once in transit. I was told twice it was self check in with a code at the unit, which was not correct, so my family of four was locked out and had to walk to pick up keys with all of our luggage. As other reviews have noted, there was a non refundable security deposit and the lobby area is not well kept. We were also disappointed that the telescope was not usable (the scope was sealed shut). On balance, the unit was fairly priced, met our family’s needs, and we were content with our stay.

The penthouse worked very well for our stay for our son’s graduation - it was a much better solution than a hotel, enabl Positive: Comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. Negative: Parking is not very convenient.

Good size Positive: I like the location and the size of the apartment. Negative: Heating wasn't working, I did try to solve it with the host but wasn't successful. There was two little electric heaters but wasn't enough. Not enough toilet rolls for six women for two days.

Great place and value for money, no issues with the property etc at all but make sure you read the check in instructions properly as I missed the part about having to collect the keys from a nearby shop which made the check in confusing at first

Found the check-in process to be convoluted, and even after numerous calls to the hosts it didn’t fully get resolved. The key fob to the building never worked. We were initially tailgating people into the building which is unsafe but we didn’t have any other options to start with. Eventually we were given a code for the building door instead which did work, but shouldn’t have needed it in the first place. The front door to the apartment could also do with a new lock, it’s hard to shut and hard to lock. The actual apartment is great. Spacious, clean, modern, and as described. The sofa beds are more than good enough comfort-wise for sofa beds. I have no complaints about the actual apartment, but the key situation was frustrating and though we were helped eventually, it took a considerable amount of time to sort. Overall I thought the stay was worth it. You won’t get many nicer apartments so close to the city centre for that price.

This was a great apartment with lovely views over Liverpool. Really well situated to walk straight out the door and get exploring. The apartment had plenty of space, was nicely laid out and was very good value for money. We had a brilliant trip and would happily recommend this place to others.

Positive: Spore problemy z odbiorem kluczy, mimo wielu przysłanych przez właściciela maili, nie otrzymaliśmy najważniejszego - 6-cyfrowego kodu koniecznego do odbioru klucza. Potem otrzymaliśmy zły 6-cyfrowy kod, odesłano nas do innego punktu odbioru, wreszcie po kilku telefonach i powrocie do pierwszego punktu przyszedł ten właściwy. Strata czasu i pieniędzy ( GB nie jest w UE, telefony sporo kosztują), sporo nerwów. Pan w sklepie Go Local uspokajał, że to się często zdarza... Dla 8 osób obiekt nie jest zbyt wygodny - mało miejsca w salonie na piętrze po rozłożeniu sof, brak łazienki (są 2 na dole). Za to bardzo ładny widok z okna i dobrze wyposażona kuchnia.

Positive: Location was great, comfy beds and lovely size dining table, easy key collection and the host and stay staff reply very quickly to any queries we had. Negative: Not enough cutlery or loo roll(only one roll each bathroom) for 8 people, only one lift Working.

Christmas stay Positive: Location was good and accommodation was a good size Negative: The heating was broken, and the company did not fix it during our stay despite daily complaints. There were also a few other maintenance issues which we reported too.

Cold and distressed ,but enjoyed Liverpool Positive: Very nice ,modern and a beautiful view as well were in the penthouse Negative: We had no heating ,it was freezing cold,no hot water in the kitchen.The living room door handle broke so we were trapped in there for nearly 3 hrs with no access to a toilet,it was very distressing ,luckily I had my phone up there with me but it had hardly any charge on it.My sisters phone was down stairs in the bed room.This was a birthday celebration for my 70th we had a reservation booked but it was to late to go by the time we were free.As you can imagine we were very upset at all this.Slso we couldn’t use the main bathroom as it was so smelly with mould and drain smells ,very unhappy visitors to this apartment.

We were happy with the accommodation, and have absolutely no complaints regarding communication, access, and the apartment itself. The accommodation is exactly as described.However,during our stay both lifts were out of order for 24 hrs. I wouldn't normally comment about this, as it could happen anywhere, but a resident advised us that it is, in fact, a regular occurrence and, given that the penthouse is some 170 steps from the ground floor, would create a problem for many, especially arriving with luggage.There is also the issue of the 'No Airbnb permitted in the building ' sign in the lobby. The owner advised prior to arrival that we should ignore this but we were told on site, that it is an issue, and basically, we shouldn't be there. Not an ideal situation, more an uncomfortable one. My husband is elderly and has a heart condition so the issue with the lift would likely preclude us from returning.

Wouldn't waste my money . Positive: That it was comfortable Negative: The place is faulty the blinds dropped down on my kids we got locked in the livingroom and due to no staff being on site we had to figure our own way out with a butter knife the shower doors in the bedroom wouldn't open the pull out beds was dirty it wasn't a great experience and I don't think I'll return to the apartment and wouldn't advise and of my family and friends to either I wouldn't call it a penthouse just a little flat BTW there is no heating apart from portable heating and the "telescope" that's just there for show is flimsy and dropped on my 1 year old!

We stayed for the weekend for a Taylor Swift concert and had a great time. The apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable and in a great location. There were nice views of the sunset and everything you could need was in walking distance. You have to pick the keys up from a local shop but it’s a few minutes away so that was not an issue. There is parking close by it’s on a small street so unloading needs to be fast! The communal entry area is not great and quite dirty but once you get into the apartment it’s fine. As mentioned in other reviews, you have to pay £25 insurance before you arrive which I have never had to do in any Airbnb but this didn’t feel like an Airbnb in the normal way, it’s very much a business. The main issue was we only had one set of keys the whole time which was a pain but we made it work as it was a short stay!!!

Pros: very quiet, great views, lovely apartment, friendly host, great amenities (fast internet!). Cons: non refundable 25 deposit required after purchase. Not so private terrace was not accessible (locked). Really good overall if you want quiet, views and to be central. Would stay again.

A few issues but awaiting a response from the customer relations team. I submitted my concerns on 24th September So far they have been responsive in terms of resolving the issues but still in process. We had no hot water at all on day and night 1 - not ideal when we were all off to a wedding party. Also, only the one wine glass - easily remedied. Front door was also a beast to lock and took quite a bit of gusto! Echo the point re a great location. Ideal for some independent businesses and only 10 minute walk to town. A few tweaks and a remedy to the boiler issue and we would consider staying again

Stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and it was perfect. In the heart of the Baltic, gorgeous views of Liverpool from every single window. Plenty of space for us to get ready the next morning. PERFECT!

Great weekend in Liverpool, location was close to great coffee spots, breweries and just a 15 min walk into the main city centre. Host was very responsive and gave clear instructions. A few amenities missing but this was communicated with the host.

Beautiful apartment but no lift Positive: Amazing apartment . Very modern and spacious. Had everything that we needed. Negative: The lifts do NOT work. Had to walk 9 floors. Was not feesable for disabled or low mobility. Would not of booked had we known about the lift.

Beautiful view from this apartment, was a nice and quiet location, perfect for a weekend trip. The mattresses weren't that great, these could be improved.

Charlie was a brilliant host and always had quick and helpful responses to any questions we had. It’s in a brilliant, quiet but lively part of the city and the view from the apartment is fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Liverpool and are already talking about coming again, hopefully here again!

Great penthouse apartment. Stunning views across the city. Everything you need, big table for eating, substantial kitchen, living area and bedrooms. Plenty of reasonably priced long stay car parks nearby. I would book in advance for guaranteed space though. 10-15 minute walk to city centre and Albert Docks or 3-4 minutes if you decide to Uber. Lots of places to grab something to eat or drink nearby if you don’t fancy walking far. I’d recommend ‘Love Lane Brewery’ tap room. Some hidden gems locally as well, The ‘Bridewell’ was a great pub tucked away on a quiet back lane near the city. It’s an old Police Station with seating areas in old holding cells (very quirky) Great Asian supermarket directly across the road if you like that kind of thing, we love it. Also KFC and McD’s within a few minutes walk. Host was very helpful and provided all the information needed for our stay. Overall, great apartment. Just needs a little tlc but that’s only my perspective. Highly recommend!

Negative: The entrance was a bit run down the sofa beds were a bit uncomfortable the bedrooms were good overall it was good value had a lot of nice touches milk tea and coffee only 1 lift works key could be easier to get if left at property maybe a key box

Enjoyed our stay Positive: Great location, the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were great. Great communication with the host. Negative: The sofa beds aren’t the comfiest and there are a few small stains/marks but nothing crazy.

DO NOT STAY HERE Positive: The photos on booking.com do not reflect the filthy, broken mess we stayed in. We had no heating, dirty bedding and apartment, broken TV’s, toilets, broken lamps, mould everywhere, stained sofa, a £500 stay and they thought a £40 compensation for my elderly mother shivering was acceptable. Negative: We didn’t like anything

A comfortable stay for a city break, with great views from the house. Hosts very very helpful and responsive throughout the duration of the booking. Would definitely return

Convenient city centre location Easy check in and nice clean property well kitted out kitchen . All good. Only down side was the smell of the bjns on the ground floor as you come in which really detracts from the overall feel of the place.

Great apartment with excellent views in a good location about 15 minutes easy stroll into Town or 10 minutes to the docks. Apartment was clean and as described. Host was friendly and responsive. Key collection was easy and the shop to collection from is literally 1 min away. The front door is a little off it's angle. It needs a good slam to close fully and to be honest I wasn't able to lock it from inside throughout our stay but being 9 floors up and on the other side of 2 security codes for access we felt safe enough anyway. Apartment is recommended but I should hope the management company address the issue with the door.

Very good location , with lovely views

Great location once we found it The apartment was very nice. It was somewhat hard to find because the door was not marked well. The one we stayed in was on the 9th floor and had a nice view around the city. The location was within walking distance to Liverpool 1 shopping area and that was great. Checkin was pretty simple. One recommendation I have is that there needs to be more fans available for sleeping areas it was pretty hot. Besides that we really liked the place.

Disgusting - DO not book . Positive: Nothing Negative: Arrived after a long drive to collect the keys from a newsagency. No greeting or smile. Unable to get into the building and non one answered the phone when I phoned. Finally someone let us in. The apartment was filthy, from the moment we entered it smelled disgusting. Heavily stained sofa’s Stained cushions Stained bedding Toilets stained with urine, pubic hair and Faeces Dusty and generally dirty throughout Not as what was advertised We ended up leaving within 10 minutes having phoned to complain, they said they would try and get hold of a cleaner . I explained it is not a quick clean it needs a deep clean with sofas etc needing to be deep cleaned. We handed the keys back and then has to fork out for another accomodation. Throughout they have refused to refund even sending messages with regards to our stay. Despite them being fully aware we left and handed the keys back. I have made numerous phone calls etc to secure a refund and eventually they offered 35 pound cleaning fee . Poor form . I have now lodged a formal complaint with booking.com in order to secure a refund. Their response further highlights the lack of professionalism. STILL AWAITING A REFUND.

Great views but a little tired Positive: Great views and location was convenient Negative: Apartment was a little tired and damaged in places, which didn't particularly bother me, but it did make me worried that we might not get our deposit back

Accommodation spoilt by lack of heating Negative: The heating was not working at the property and sadly it was stormy and exceptionally cold weather outside.Therefore it was difficult to enjoy the facilities that the property had to offer. The host and stay company did respond to my communications very quickly, however the issue was not resolved, which resulted in a very cold uncomfortable stay. On a positive Liverpool has lots to see and do and we made the best of a bad situation.

We had a lovely time, ended up eating out. Liverpool is a great city. Positive: Good location and views were great across the city. Negative: Some of the blinds were broken and hardly any cooking equipment; no large bowls or pans etc & neighbours were a bit noisy when coming in and out.

En general muy bien Negative: Por guardar las maletas hasta la hora de la entrada nos pidieron 5 £por maletas.nos fuimos a comer con ellas y a la vuelta era las 14,45 y nos dijeron q hasta las 15 horas no nos la podían dar, tuvimos q ir dos veces a una tienda a unos 100 metros a por ellas , porque el email q le mandamos no nos contestaron,. Cuando dejamos las llaves a las 4 de la madrugada otra vez a la tienda a dejarla en un buzón, tuvimos q hacer un video de como las dejábamos y mandárselo a booking.com. 25£ de depósito en la tarjeta sin derecho a devolución, aunque no estropearas nada Al no haber persona física todo lo tenias q hacer por email, para mi muy complicado

Positive: Spacious .. useful location. Fairly clean (except for one of the toilets that definitely needed wiping). Negative: The description of the property was that it included a patio which we were eagerly looking forward to ... however, there wasn't one. We were also informed that there was a spare key (which we very much needed). However, despite requesting via phone calls, one was not provided. The lock on the door to the apartment was incredibly difficult to operate (needs replacing).

Positive: Really clean and spacious Negative: No parking, not the most streamlined check in experience at the local shop. Only 1 set of keys between the party and needed to get into the block, not just the flat itself. Was supposed to be an extra set in the flat but they were not there. Contacted host but we're not provided. No access to the roof terrace area- padlocked off. Not enough glass ware, crockery etc for no. of guests

A fantastic modern flat that was absolutely spotless. Host was very responsive in replying and proactive. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Difficult area Positive: Appartement was erg netjes Negative: Methode om de sleutel te krijgen en weer in te leveren was zeer omslachtig. We waren er precies tijdens een feest in de buurt, heel veel harde muziek. De buurt blijkt niet zo goed aangeschreven te zijn.

Positive: Location was good and apartment was clean and tidy. Negative: Entrance was slightly messy and looked tired, but this did not affect the quality of the apartment

Terrible Negative: I booked the apartment and was informed to collect the keys in the corner shop. Not informed there is security code which I need to get to collect the keys. I was calling the number for more than 30min finally got hold of someone barely speaking english > she gave me the code which was invalid. Another hour later I go the call that someone is coming to drop the keys. 2hours waiting and finally 11pm got my keys. I had to pay 250£ deposit for damage.

Great penthouse, great city. Positive: Lovely apartment with great views. Good locations a short distance from all the main sights. Negative: Lobby and outside street slightly dirty, but you don’t stay in the lobby do you! Had some issues with the lock until got the knack with it.

Positive: Lived the layout and the view. Location was great for our stay. Negative: There seems to be a small issue with drafts from some windows. Minor issue but it was an incredibly windy weekend.
