My wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Artists Pad. We arrived by train and it is so convenient for both rail and local food shopping. Plenty of on street parking too if using a car. The facilities were great and we had everything needed. An array of unusual artworks on display too. The beach is an easy walk away, and once there there the Cleveland Way is a great way of exploring the coastline further. Having never been to Saltburn-by-the-Sea before we would gladly return. Many thanks!

Would stay again as a couple, but not as a group as the second bedroom is only suitable for a child Positive: Everything apart from the second bedroom. Negative: Second bedroom - almost no storage, very dark, 2 ‘useless’ lamps as there was nowhere appropriate to plug them in. The sliding way is fun but adds nothing, whilst a chest of drawers, or even shelves, would!

So cosy and quirky and comfy, really fun place to stay. Xxx Positive: Location was brilliant, so close to everything you need. Quirky interior, so many amazing pieces of artefacts to enjoy. Facilities were fab, towels and bedding provided, beds really cosy, property nice and warm. Well equipped kitchen. Alexa, too. Loved the pac man,,, so cool The on line guide was one of best Iv used, so comprehensive and easy to access. Christmas tree was such a lovely touch- appreciated. Happy it’s dog friendly and so much cleaner than a lot of other dog friendly properties. An awful lot of love and care has clearly gone into putting this property together, and it was very much appreciated. So cute n quirky. We loved it. Negative: Don’t let the front door put you off, it’s lovely inside.

Really lovely apartment in a great location. My son loved the Pac-Man arcade game and the secret door in the second bedroom!

Excellent break, lovely clean and relaxing apartment with lots to see, the decor is fantastic! Positive: The apartment is fantastic, really quirky and much more spacious than on the photos. We relaxed straight away, it was light and airy and despite being on a central street in Saltburn it was really quiet at night. The Alexa in the kitchen is great to play tunes and the extra touch of providing a plate for us to draw on to then be placed on the wall was great. We loved the decor and the Pacman machine was fun! It was easy to park for free close to the apartment and checking in was easy. We loved eating at Seaview Restaurant and No 23 (Pizza) and the atmosphere in The Gunns Bar was great, we also enjoyed the Ship Inn. We would definitely return! Negative: It would be better if the check out was a little later than 10am, even 11am. A text is sent in the morning of check out asking you to leave by 10am which felt a little unnecessary when its already well advertised that you need to depart by then. A more leisurely check out would have definitely been welcomed. The wifi was a little sketchy too, so we were unable to watch some channels, although a reboot did seem to help.

Super cool Positive: All I wanna say is so brilliant excellent fantastic. The house is like an art gallery. We also painted a plate to share our happiness of spending holiday for Chinese new year. Pretty cool house. Highly recommend.

Quirky but lacking basics for self catering Positive: Location. Art work. Quiet Negative: Only 1 pan & no lid! Only 1 teaspoon. No oven mit. Dirty landing. Mop & bucket left in kitchen . Shower needs new seal.

Positive: Clean, comfortable and quirky. Good location and easy parking. Plenty of space in living room and bathroom. Negative: Kitchen lighting was dim, there were no oven gloves and very few saucepans. Bathroom was dark too (half the bulbs were not working). A small mirror on the window sill would help.

Inspiring, fun and quirky Positive: Amazing property. Loved the artwork and games. Fab to, comfy beds Negative: I was given the wrong door code number and had to ring up to get the right one. There was only one pan in the whole house, and no oven gloves, so cooking was tricky

First time to Saltburn hopefully not the last would definitely stay in the accommodation again Positive: Very quirky! Enjoyed looking at all the art work could spend hours just looking at everything and playing pac-man. Very spacious, comfortable beds. Ideal location so near to everything . We had a dog everywhere so dog friendly!

Overall good Positive: Quiet even though near station Blackout blinds in bedrooms - wonderful for summer Beds comfy; one is firm one is soft :) Powerful good shower Nice bedroom carpets Negative: No frying pan?! Kitchen otherwise well equipped. Nespresso machine: no coffee pods and Sainsbury’s over road does not stock that type of nespresso pod. I’d been really looking forward to using the machine with the nespresso pods I’d bought specially. You’ll either need to bring your own coffee and press, or find ‘vertuo’ pods to bring. Check out time 10am was too early

The location is excellent and Saltburn is a lovely place. The apartment was comfortable. Positive: The location was ideal as it was close to the local amenities and the sea. The area itself was quiet apart from the weekend which was to be expected and although the flat faced the train station the noise did not bother us. The property itself appeared to be clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was equipped in line with expectations apart from the pans There was also a fantastic food festival on which we enjoyed immensely. Negative: One pan is not sufficient especially when that one pan is not non stick. We would have appreciated a frying pan as a good breakfast is usually a staple for most holidaymakers who plan to be out for a good part of the day. The apartment itself was in line with a place that is used by a lot of people. It must be a challenge to keep on top of things like the shower. This is not necessarily a complaint just an acknowledgment that holiday lets are hard work to maintain.

Wonderful x Positive: Lovely property we had a really lovely stay. The beds are super comfy and loved all the art work and location. Negative: I know that it is on the market so this may not assist. There are insufficient pans / utensils for proper cooking. (I could only find one pan and one dish) Also the lighting is not particularly good so I had to move lamps around the house. Otherwise lovely!!

Really nice place. Very interesting decor with lots to look at. Well equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book again. Reasonably priced and excellent location. Minutes to beach and restaurants. Thank you to the hosts.

Great place to stay, would stay again Positive: Great location, the size of the apartment is deceiving from the main entrance. Quirky design the kids loved playing pac man. Beds were very comfy. Negative: The main entrance door latch was a bit difficult to secure, had to push hard to close. Few small areas that needed repairing, such as the living room lighting and a few other tiny bits I put on the form.

Disappointing experience overall and not good value Positive: The beds were comfortable and apart from the grill pan the place was clean. It was conveniently located within Saltburn by the Sea (although worth noting that you can hear the trains from the front bedroom). Negative: Generally we avoid booking multi-property agency-managed places as the service levels are poor and there is a lot of unnecessary email correspondence. This booking reminded us. The shower had black mould (photos), the main light in the living room wasn't working and wasn't fixed during our stay. The lighting in the kitchen was very poor and we had difficulty self-catering given the paucity of pans. Also - it was disappointing to find no dishwasher tablets left for a 2 night stay (fortunately we had some with us).

Very good location near all Saltburn’s attractions, and the station a hundred yards away.The property is fully equipped (except for trays and a cafetière, the most eco-friendly method of making proper coffee), but the decor is quirky and may not be to everyone’s taste.Some rooms, including the kitchen are poorly lit because of small windows and could use better lighting.

Quirky but comfortable space. Saltburn is a lovely place and the flat is very close to the beach. There’s a good cafe on the same street. Which is useful as if there was a coffee press in the kitchen I couldn’t find it. There was a netspresso machine in the cupboard but no pods.

We’ll be back Positive: Really unique, well thought out decoration, making it an interesting and fun space. Loved the art and all the individual touches but still a very comfortable apartment, super comfy beds and great bathroom.

A lovely place to stay near the sea. The accommodation is clean and well furnished in a quiet location. Perfect.

Very interesting and unusual decor which we loved. Nice big living room with views of trees and the railway! In a good spot for accessing the beach and shops. The beach and Fish Restaurant were highlights. If you like your coffee some good cafes although no cafetière at the flat. If you have mobility issues be aware that there is a flight of stairs before you get to the actual front door of the flat. This could have been made clearer! Also Keysafe is on the side of the building not on the door frame.

Positive: Just a great stay, check in was so simple, had free parking outside the door. The property was really clean and comfortable - looking forward to staying again

It was nice and relaxed. Great location Positive: It’s nice and spacious Negative: There wasn’t sufficient cleaning items Ie no dustpan or vacuum cleaner So when we had been to the beach it was really difficult to keep the floor clean

Sleeepless Positive: The house was lovely and as described Negative: The checkout time of 10 am was brutal. Especially after having been woken around 5.30 am by the VERY noisy train roaring its engine in the station directly opposite.

Stayed a few times in Saltburn. This has the easiest parking. Near the beach and the bar - Number 23, my two favourite things in Saltburn. I would look to stay here again when coming back.

Positive: The decor, layout, TV..... everything was interesting in a brilliant but quirky way. Loved it with a very homely feel. Didn't make it onto Pacman leader board😅 Negative: The only thing negative was the shower. We couldn't adjust the height, it made it slightly difficult not to get your hair wet. But in the grand scheme of things it was still possible.

Llovely apartment in a great location, and overall I enjoyed my stay. space is well presented with some fun touches, such as the Pac-Man machine. I found it a little cluttered for my taste, as I was hoping for a more minimalist space, but that’s subjective rather than a fault. What spoilt the stay was communication. I accepted a discounted extra night, yet on the day was approached by an abrupt individual who said I should have left. He apologised once I explained, but the harsh approach felt unnecessary. I was then repeatedly chased for immediate payment, which made the extra day stressful due to internal miscommunication. By end, I felt treated with suspicion rather than trust , which was disappointing — particularly as I am a doctor and trustworthy. Practically a 4 pm check-in with 10 am checkout felt restrictive - v unfair Other places don't don't do this in air bnb. Lockbox is awkward to secure, and the front door needs a firm pull to close - big security concerns.

Fantastic place. Really central to everything . Funky and really fun space to stay. Very comfortable beds and lovely soft bedding pillows , towels . Everything you need and more. Highly recommend. Hope to return in the future. Well worth a visit ! 🤩

Quick and responsive host.

Great place to stay and great location. Positive: Very spacious, clean and a lot of thought put into providing entertainment, which was great when we were there, as we had bad weather. Long time since I played on a full size PAC-Man machine. Also, a number of games and good tv selection, as well as Amazon music etc. Big bedrooms and cozy warm everywhere in the apartment. Negative: The facilities were very good and it’s unreasonable to expect provision of coffee pods, milk etc, which are all available from Sainsbury’s across the road. However, as someone has previously mentioned, there’s no frying pan. Don’t know if this feedback was ignored or forgotten about.

Short stay was enjoyable on the whole but would not recommend for any longer. Positive: Location was good. Artefacts around house were interesting. Good collection of books. Good Wi-Fi. Lots of TV channels. Shower was hot with good water power. Good size towels. Easy access to keys and door. Negative: Instructions on how to work the TV. Difficult for us to get terrestrial channels. TV in one bedroom not working. Bedrooms - no storage for clothes, poor hanging space. No frying pan. Entrance hall tatty. Too many stairs for carrying luggage up (we were both in our late 70’s).

Underwhelming Positive: Location and parking Negative: No shower gel or shampoo, no washing up liquid, door handle loose. Too many things collecting dust. Shabby shower cubicle. Not practical Duvets were too thick and heavy.

The property is in a great location, right in the centre of town and close to the beach. Comfy beds and plenty of space for us all.

I had a great stay in the Artist's Pad. The apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable but what made it really special was the Art theme; the pictures and large selection of books were really fascinating. The location could not have been better; close to a great range of bars and restaurants and the sea front but still in a quiet spot. Saltburn by the Sea is a gem of a resort, it has a great beach and all the usual seaside attractions, it's a great base for walking the coastal paths and there is some great wildlife to see, including sea birds, dolphins and even whales if you are lucky. I would recommend the Artist's Pad to everyone and would love to visit again.

Amazing place to stay. Positive: It’s an amazing apartment in a great location. Really interesting place with excellent artwork, interesting books and great facilities. The beds were super comfortable. Parking is outside on the street but there’s plenty of room and it’s safe. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable Great place, very clean and everything you need for a 2 day break. Beds very comfortable, great shower. Kitchen had everything you needed to make food. Could have easily stayed longer. Easy access to shops cafes and restaurants and a short walk away to the beach with only a 2 mile walk to Marske. This information was accessible via an online guide provided within details of the apartment, very useful.

Fabulous, quirky and spacious apartment very central to Saltburn. The apartment is very well equipped and furnished. The only negatives for us were there are no hooks to hang coats and no drawers in the bedroom, so socks underwear and tees etc were all piled up on a chair!! Wet coats on the balustrade will possibly spoil the owners decor. We arrived to find smelly dirty pots in the dishwasher and a dirty toilet brush. The hosts quickly responded and dealt with the dishwasher and took away, but didn’t replace the offending loo brush!! The issues didn’t spoil the visit though. We would defiantly return.

Nice location, plenty of parking and spacious. Negative: No plughole for the bath, not sure if deliberate but was looking forward to a bath as we don’t have one. Cleaning staff need to check the toilet brush!!

A lovely flat, a nice town, terrible admin. Positive: Great location in a pleasant seaside town - close to shops and bars and only 2 minutes walk to the seafront. The flat itself was spacious and comfortable. Negative: A couple of things spoiled it for us. There were no cleaning materials in the flat other than a small hand brush with no dustpan so we had to use a piece of cardboard to clean up any spilt crumbs etc. The other, more serious, issue is the process around the damage deposit. In order to pay this we were asked to pay a non returnable fee of £10 for processing. This is not made clear in the listing for the property. The number of emails I received immediately I made the booking was ridiculous and occupied a significant amount of time to manage / respond to. At one point I was going to cancel the booking because of the time and stress the process caused. A shame because the flat was lovely.

Positive: Perfect location, centre of Saltburn. Layout and decor were very good. Well equipped kitchen. Homely feel. Negative: Not enough hooks downstairs for coats. Sofas could have been a bit more comfortable. Towels could be updated.

Love the game in living room Negative: I couldn’t have a coffee, lovely coffee machine and no pods and not been emptied so used pods left in the machine and couldn’t have an instant even Not keen on the Skeleton picture in 2nd bedroom but I’m on my 3rd visit so I can live with it 😀just creeps me out Where have the inflatables gone from the bathroom cupboard

A fantastic and unique property in saltburn. Close to pretty much everything you will need and within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and supermarket. The apartment itself is totally unique with little quirks wherever you look. Beautifully and creatively curated but still felt like a home the moment we walked in Can’t wait to revisit!

Very nice - would stay there again Positive: Location perfect for bars and supermarkets and a very short walk to the sea front. Accommodation had everything we needed. Negative: Very minor points which we raised with housekeeping for future reference. When we arrived at 4.00 pm on a cold January day the heating was set at 12 deg C. I can understand to save energy but should have been switched on in the morning as we didn’t get the place warmed up til v late. Secondly we struggled to open the inner door with the key which we could see had had some wear and tear.
