Great location behind the Usher Gallery although easy to miss when you drive by the first time!! The decor was great fun and designed with lots of imagination and great use of space although the bathroom was tiny and a shelf would definitely help. All the steps into the property were a challenge for our elderly doggie but we managed to coax her up and down. The kitchen was great and absolutely pristine. Having a dishwasher could be mentioned on the joining instructions as we would have bought some tabs. All in all lovely weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lincoln.

We really enjoyed our stay at Temple Gardens, the house was lovely: homely and clean. The wood burner made it especially cosy in the evenings. The location is great for visiting the castle, cathedral and steep hill. There were also comfy beds and plenty of parking available. Our only negatives we encountered was a lack of glasses available, could really do with some straight drinking glasses rather than just wine glasses and mugs. There was also no heating on the night we arrived, and no sign of the thermostat within the property. However, the host was quick to respond and the heating was on the next morning, the wood burner and warm bedding (and thankfully not too cold weather!) didn’t make this a huge issue. The house was great for us and our four-legged companion, and if we visit Lincoln in the future, we will be sure to stay here again :)

Property matches photos. Good base to explore Lincoln. Well decorated. Comfy beds. Lots of hot water. Dog friendly property. Parking. Poor internet supply. Noise from HOMO and adjoining property. No curtains or blinds downstairs, feel like you are in a goldfish bowl. Upstairs blinds or frosted windows, need curtains to block out street or daylight. Kitchen not as well equipped as stated. Dog friendly property, but no bowl, treats or poo bags. Coffee machine, no pods. Steep steps to access property.

Beautiful accommodation which was very conveniently located and dog friendly. Loved the log burner and decor. Lovely kitchen and outside space.

We had a great stay at Temple Gardens with the family. The house was safe, and the big staircase without steep stairs (and big banister) made it easy for the kids. The log burner was a wonderful addition given we stayed in Autumn and was chilly outside. The hosts were great communicators, and the place was a 10-15 walk from pretty much everything including quaint little shops of steep hill and the Cathedral and Castle at the top. Would definitely stay again 👍

Positive: Perfect place to stay to explore Lincoln. Very comfortable and warm,easy to walk from station and close to the Cathedral.

Location in Lincoln was fantastic, half way up the hill to the Cathedral and so half way down to the High Street shops and restaurants. Well equipped kitchen with dish washer, washing machine and table for four. Only drawback re the property in the lack of storage. No closets/wardrobes/chest of drawers/dressers. Was a free standing rail in one of the rooms which was very useful.

We had a great time in a really charming little house in an excellent location! Positive: Excellent location, especially with a dog, small park just steps away. Really nice interior. Bigger than on the pictures, especially the outside bit. Negative: Unfortunately no broom/hoover for sweeping up the leaves we and the dog brought in. No hairdryer. A little light, that comes on, when you leave or enter the little back yard would be nice, especially with the (partially) big cracks in the floor outside, would be nice.

Perfect mix of period property and modern interior. Great location at Temple Gardens, not too far uphill - if you know Lincoln, you'll know what I mean - close to the gallery and shops. Clean and welcoming, with a safe parking place. Host always replies to the messages. Ideal for a short break. Thank you very much.

No response to attempts at contact or emails, no response to s Positive: Good location in the middle of Lincoln Negative: Seemingly not cleaned prior to arrival. Used towels in the shower cubicle, stains on bedding and a used condom wrapper on the floor of the bedroom my daughter was staying in. No contact from the hosts or replies to emails.

Great location. Owners need to regularly check 3a for maintenance issues and clean surfaces. Positive: Central location through Temple Gardens to Steep Hill. Negative: Very poor WiFi. No TV signal. Maintenance issues not previously addressed - bent kitchen sink tap, only two dining chairs stable enough to sit on and broken dining table. Poor sleep from tired mattress. No pyrex dish with lid to heat up food in the microwave. Very greasy top to kitchen bin - which I cleaned.

Perfect central location with parking. Definitely worth staying. Positive: A very charming property with parking right in the heart of Lincoln. It’s only 5 minute walk from all the top attractions. There’s no need to use your car. There’s even a park a minutes stroll away for our fury friends. It has all the needed basics. The beds are very comfy. Some people commented about the size of the bathroom sink, but we managed. I have a large estate car and didn’t struggle with the parking. Plus you don’t need to move your car as it’s so central. Negative: There’s nothing not to like. If I was to pick, there are a number of steps to the property if you have mobility issues. It’s a little over looked, but there are blinds and curtains and the neighbours are friendly and private. Nothing would put me off staying again.

Great location in a lovely city, with a few small tweaks this would be an exceptional place to stay. Positive: Great location Negative: Sink only a vanity unity. Not suitable for shaving etc. No hooks in any bedroom and only one room has any hanging space. WiFi very poor, not that we go on holiday to use it but unable to watch the World Cup matches on the TV as connection poor. Washing machine/dryer wasn’t working properly so was left with wet clothes and no where to hang them

On arrival it was clear that the property hadn't been serviced since the previous guests had left 5 days prior. Bins hadn't been emptied, bed linen was still on the beds and not freshly made up, including a dubious stain on one of the duvets. Used towels were draped over the beds and in the bathroom. Spoke to Host and Stay by phone and agent was able to confirm their error for the lack of service. We then had to wait an hour for cleaners to arrive who also confirmed that no service had been done. Had to wait a further hour while they serviced the accommodation. We had to change our plans for the evening because we weren't able to unpack or shower after a 5 hr journey from Devon. A complaint and request for a full or partial refund was lodged by email and acknowledged by Host and Stay customer service the following day. Email stated that we would receive a response from their resolution team within 7-10 working days. Nearly three weeks and 11 working days later and nothing heard!

Great location but lacking cleanliness Positive: This house is in a really good location so it is easy to access all the main parts of Lincoln - Steep Hill, the Usher Gallery, the Castle, and the Cathedral. It was surprisingly quiet given how close it was to town, however there was a lot of noise from next door in the night. Negative: It was quite dirty throughout - there were crumbs all in the kitchen and the bedside tables, there was dog hair all over the floor in the living room, the couch in the living room stunk of dogs and smoke, and there was shards of glass on the stairs - not ideal for a toddler crawling/walking around!

Enjoyed a very comfortable weekend break. House was well furnished, with everything required for a break away from home. The location is perfect for exploring the city, very close to the old town and all its charm. The instructions for finding the property were spot on, the parking right outside the property meant we felt safe leaving the car and enjoyed exploring the city on foot :)

Beds were very comfy Negative: The loo seat was very loose and I was worried my aunt would not be safe on it. The duvet and pillows were feathers, um not allergic although some of my family is. I am vegan and would have preferred not to have had them, the house details didn’t say this was the case or I would have requested non allergy, Maybe add this to the. Details in the future. There was a wood burner fire but no instructions online or at the property. I’m good with these but did Not have matches or a lighter so we didn’t use it. I can understand the hosts would not want to push this

Once we found the small street just off the main road it proved to be a great location, secluded yet within easy walking distance to both the historical centre and the lower part of the city. The host was close by and was very helpful. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay

This place is a hidden gem, nestled right at the base of the steps to the cathedral, and very close to the public gardens. The parking was very close to the entrance and easily accessed. Inside, the property was fully kitted out and clean. Very cozy.

Cosy and comfortable for a short break and location is fabulous. Positive: Great location. You can hear the Cathedral bells chiming. Comfortable beds. Homely and cosy lounge. Wood burner is a must for a winter break. Kitchen has all mod cons. Private entrance and yard space. Clean and modern decoration. Negative: The bathroom is very small, the sink in particular, it would be a struggle with four staying. Parking is available on the street, which is a dead end. I have a small car but it was still difficult to manoeuvre due to the amount of cars parked in this lane and there is no place to turn.

Nice property in excellent location, few niggles re equipment just need sorting out Positive: Location was great as really central and parking was available. Comfy beds. Clean oven and hob and fridge, all look brand new as do kettle and toaster. We loved having the fire on a cold, wet evening. Coffee machine with pods provided was good. Quirky colours in rooms was fun and lovely large sofa was good for relaxing after exploring the city. Negative: Under equipped kitchen. No drinking glasses except wine and champagne glasses so nothing really suitable for water or juice, no metal baking trays at all and only one ceramic cooking dish. Luckily my daughter lives nearby and could bring something that we could use to cook and having read the reviews I brought some mugs and glasses of our own. Kitchen chairs were dirty. Kitchen tap is loose and toilet seat also loose. Nowhere to hang clothes in king bedroom, just a hook or two on the wall with some hangers would be useful. Bin bag too small for the kitchen bin which was annoying as kept falling in bin and collapsing. No obvious bins outside at property to put rubbish or recycling in so I took all recycling home.

Very Average Negative: The TV signal was not OK, so it kept going off and on. The Internet was slow, not good enough for streaming. Check the time to late check-out time to early check-out. Lacking some curtains. Black dog hair all over the kitchen floor. Only two small mugs. The kitchen tap is loose, and there is inadequate lighting for the rear stairs at night.

Clean, central location. Positive: Good location - central & walking distance to historic centre or shops. Clean rooms. Parking (subject to availability). Negative: As other reviews mention it is over looked by neighbouring properties & noise for adjacent properties (party) impacts the overall rating. Parking is possible, but not guaranteed.

Clean, comfortable and great location. A few minor issues but overall a very good property. Positive: The location was very good - a short walk to the Cathedral, Castle and Hugh street. It was very clean and comfortable, especially the beds, and was decorated nicely. The kitchen was well equipped (although needs a few more mugs). It was quiet other than some minor road noise. Parking was fairly easy. Communication from Host & Stay was very good before and throughout the stay. I would stay here again if visiting Lincoln. Negative: We had no heating for the first evening and despite the welcome guide saying we were free to amend the temperature, it seems that it may be controlled remotely as it was only activated on our second day after we had enquired about it a couple of times and there was no sign of a thermostat anywhere. A few minor points which if fixed would have given the property top scores: There there are no curtains or blinds anywhere downstairs which leaves you feeling a little overlooked from the next door property and didn’t help when it was cold. The bathroom door only shut if you slammed it and there was no lock. The toilet seat is a little loose and falls down on you when sotting on the toilet. The bathroom sink is tiny and it’s really hard to brush your teeth without spitting toothpaste over the edge or bumping your head on the mirror.

Lovely place to stay , local to all the shops and bars. Lovely temple gardens next to the house. Overall loved it and would definitely come back.

Perfect location within walking distance to the castle, cathedral, high street and so much more. The house is very cozy and has everything you could need…including a parking spot!! LOVE the shower pressure and hot water!! Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting Lincoln for a weekend or longer!
