Perfectly positioned just a 5-minute stroll from West Cliff Beach, this charming, spacious apartment places you right at the heart of Whitby’s stunning coastline and historic attractions. From Swift View, you can wander along the seafront, visit Whitby West Pier Lighthouse within 10 minutes, or explore the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the town’s quaint streets on the East side of town.

Inside, the apartment combines comfort with modern touches. Modern electric radiators throughout keep you nice and warm. The bright sitting area, complete with a sofa set, flat-screen TV, and amazing sea views is the ideal spot to relax after a day of adventure.

Step out onto your large private balcony to enjoy the sea views and fresh sea air, and in the summer watch the swifts fly by.

Or unwind in the bathroom featuring a tub, separate shower, and complimentary amenities.

Whitby Train Station is a short 15-minute walk away from Swift View where direct services can be found operating to Billingham, Blaydon, Hartlepool, Hexham, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, Prudhoe, Seaham, Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland and Thornaby-on-Tees.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway can also be accessed from Whitby Train Station. Take a historic steam journey to the market town of Pickering, and visit the countryside villages of Goathland, Grosmont and Levisham.

A number of bus routes operate in Whitby offering access to Guisborough, Leeds, Loftus, Malton, Middlesbrough, Scarborough and York.

Notes from your host

Please note that each bed can be configured as either a king size or single bed. Please request in advance of your stay if you would like them to be set up differently.

If the bins inside Swift View become full, please take your rubbish out to the North Yorkshire Council bins. There are located as you come out of the building and look to the right - you will find the bins are at the end of the car park.

“So nice we’re going again in a few weeks it is so large you all have your own space to move around and relax it’s so warm and cosy the beds are so comfy that’s a great thing also so quite to say you’re yards away from the sea and main roads stayed in Whitby on many occasions this my 4th time in this building and this apartment wins hands down”

“A beautiful, spacious, light-filled apartment, with wonderful views over the sea and an easy walk down into Whitby and the harbour. Very nicely furnished and decorated, loved the lights in the lounge! Comfortable beds. Well equipped, modern kitchen with a plentiful supply of basic cooking essentials such as herbs, spices, oil, tea, coffee, sugar etc. For coffee lovers, there are two coffee makers – a L'or pod machine and a fully automatic Delonghi expresso machine which takes beans. As mentioned in previous reviews, the entrance to the building could use some TLC, but entering the apartment is like walking into another world. Parking was easy when we were there midweek, with one space in the car park out front, plus a parking pass provided for the W zones around town, with plenty of spaces available close by. Overall, one of the nicest holiday rental properties we have experienced.”

“Great location, 5 minute walk to Whitby arch and easy to get to all the main places. Lovely apartment, very spacious and great views. Could do with updating some of the furniture. The settees were looking a bit worn and were very low, not really a problem but we had a few older members of our party who struggled with how low they were. Also the outdoor furniture could have done with sweeping down of the cobwebs and a few corners in the house could have done with a better clean as we saw a few cobwebs. Apart from this everything was very clean. The nightlights were a great touch if you needed the toilet during the night these came on automatically when you walked past them. Great communication from the host, we had a small problem which was dealt with promptly. Overall a great stay and would definitely come back again.”
