Positive: Great place to stay for the family. Just a short lovely walk from Whitby and amazing views for the sunsets we had.

Positive: Perfect for a family trip, facilities are all really good. Loved the extra bathroom, which is really convenient with teens! Location and views are incredible Negative: The double bed is noisy when you move around. There is also a lot of noise from above, really annoying, but not enough to stop us staying here again

Anyone staying here, will stay again. I know my family will be. 10/10 Positive: Perfectly set up. I could literally have moved in. Negative: Floor boards upstairs are fairly noisy, but it's an older building so is expected.

Stunning views, nice place, poor service if you need help with an issue Was a nice location overlooking the sea and cliffs, stunning views and as the name suggested.... the most beautiful sunsets. On first appearance it was beautiful inside, gorgeous bedrooms although there was a few dead flies, one on the bed one in the kitchen, kitchen and utility room lovely and the little seating area is great to sit out on the night and watch the sun go down but unfortunately we were let down a bit, the wifi wasn't working and none of me or my family

Positive: The accomodation is in an excellent location and all the rooms are very roomy. The shower is really powerful and the bath is an amazing size. Great that there is a parking space with the flat. The kitchen has everything that you need and the addition of the utility room is excellent for storing stuff out of the way . The little goodies on the table were welcomed by the kids . It was lovely to have the outside space as the weather was lovely for sitting outside and watching the sun set every night made it really special. Even the kids loved that part and we got some great pictures. It is located within easy reach of everything. The beach is just down the hill below you or you can drive a bit further down the coast to park right on the front. Negative: The main problem for us and I'm sure it will be so for others is the fact that there are no adequate window coverings to block out the light in a morning, the office style blinds offer no use and with the sun coming up very early we were all very tired after the 5 days from lack of sleep. Curtains or black out blinds would have solved this. With only approx 4hours darkness at this time of year it's a real problem. The beds are also a little uncomfortable as not very good mattresses and are quite hard. The final thing is the information on the app isn't up to date so the WiFi password was wrong, the information about parking was wrong and there weren't adequate instructions about how to work the DVD and Sky box, just to make you aware there is only one HDMI lead but you need 2 to get both to work, a lot of people wouldn't have known how to fix this to make the DVD work. Sky is also non existent only for your basic TV channels and so there wasn't much for the kids to watch later in evening, this wasn't noted in the information app so we were expecting to be able to watch a kids film or two . Sorry about the negative information but I think if these small things were fixed it would be absolutely perfect.

Home away from home. :) Positive: The location of this property is perfect, waking up to the sea view was such a beautiful experience for us and our children. We thought it was a home away from home, the facilities were great, spacious, clean and the Christmas decorations were a very special treat. Negative: We had a few issues, the WiFi, sky tv and dvd player wouldn’t work which meant the children couldn’t watch any films at all. The windows in the kitchen and living room were all closed yet there was a huge draft coming through, as the curtains were decoration only the blinds did nothing to prevent this causing us to have to turn up the heat and only access one area of the living room to keep warm.

Really mixed bag with my stay, the location was lovely and the property was as described. However I was unable to use the oven or hob as it was broken, I reported this on the morning following my check in and then had to wait until the following day for a maintenance person to attend, who told me he wasn’t able to fix the issue so I was left without cooking facilities for the rest of my stay. That same morning I discovered that the treats that I had bought for my family had been eaten by a rat or mouse while being stored in the kitchen. The maintenance person who attended took pictures and said he would report it. I reported this to host and stay and was told to submit an official complaint which I did and that I would receive a response in 7 working days. I should have received a response by yesterday and haven’t, I messaged host and stay, they said that I would receive a response asap. The property was fine but did have some significant issues but communication has been poor.

Beautiful property in a perfect location! \nWe were pleasantly surprised to see that when we arrived the there was a Christmas tree a decorations up making it even more cosy inside. The apartment was modern, clean and fully equipped with everything that we needed and the location was perfect and an added bonus we had a private parking space.\nWhilst there we ended up having heavy snowfall with horrendous wind with temperatures that were 1 degrees but as the weather app stated feels like -11. The windows offered perfect views however in this weather they let such a cold draft in and the heating was unfortunately locked at 20 degrees and we were cold in bed at night meaning we didn’t have a great nights sleep, this may have been able to be rectified but admittedly we don’t message to ask if they could unlock above 20 degrees. Other than this the property was perfect and we would definitely stay again.

A well designed, spacious holiday flat. Positive: The views were amazing, parking space was a bonus, clean and comfortable, had everything required for a holiday let, position of property was great as a base, the attention to detail and the christmas tree and decorations made it even more special . A well thought out space with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a separate downstairs toilet, plus a freezer and washing machine in the utility. Lovely warm and cosy, we would definitely stay there again. Negative: The mezzanine level was very creaky, and I could hear people moving around, which was not good for a quiet nights sleep, but it is something you may get used to. No spare key was found. Some of the furniture is worn and could do with replacing but was clean and comfortable. Blinds need a bit of attention, and there was some damp, however this property is right on the sea front. None of the listed would prevent us from staying again though.

Amazing Place Positive: This place is amazing. The place was decorated beautifully for Xmas with a huge tree that was twinkling when we arrived. The decor was lovely and very homely, loved the bedroom with the balcony overlooking the living area and the view from the other bedroom was amazing looking over the sea. We would 100% stay again. Negative: We had no internet

A lovely apartment in a great location for exploring Whitby on foot. The private parking space right next to the apartment was a great addition as parking can be difficult in Whitby. The apartment looks right over the sea which was wonderful. Super dog friendly and the enclosed front yard was a great addition for the dogs. The apartment is really spacious and light, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The bath is fabulous and the amenities on offer were great. The cleaning could have perhaps been a bit more thorough but it was a good standard. There aren’t many windows that open so may be warm in the summer but was lovely in November. The above property was quite loud but there was only someone up there on our final night so it wasn’t too much of an issue, however I do think it may be an issue for people if they had people above their whole stay. Other than that it was wonderful. We would stay again, the location is perfect and we had a great stay, thanks very much!

Good location, noisey clean comfy parking Positive: Great location great having parking space. Very comfortable very well equipped, lovely fluffy soft towels. Welcome pack tea coffee etc. comfy beds, great shower and bath. Enclosed garden for dogs. Was clean. Negative: Very noisey neighbours upstairs people dragging furniture, banging about, walking up and down. Creaking floor boards. maybe doing diy at 11pm and 7am ? So was very disturbed. Too much clutter everywhere and smelt of too much shake and vac? Whilst clean the sofa needs hoovering. Only one window and front door opens to let fresh air in. Would not return.

Lovely place. Positive: Lovely property, brilliant location. Could have stayed longer, facilities such as kitchen and laundry room excellent. Very comfortable en suite bathrooms. Perfect for dogs as right next to beach and has an enclosed outdoor area. We had a very comfortable weekend here. Negative: Smell of cannabis coming from the communal area when we arrived, but the flat itself was clean and the smell was gone the next morning.

My 2 friends and I stayed at Sea View. We were so pleased with the apartment. The views were lovely from downstairs, across the road to the sea. The apartment was spotlessly clean with fresh bedding and towels. The description on Air BnB does not do the apartment justice. One of the best places I have stayed in Whitby, and I have been visiting for 20 years plus. We felt right at home immediately on arrival. We are looking to stay again very soon. I will Highly recommend to friends and family, and anyone reading my review. Thank you for a lovely stay in this lovely apartment. The location is just right, snd car parking right outside in a safe parking space, a definite bonus .

Absolutely perfect !!! Would love to come back. Positive: We loved absolutely everything about this accommodation, truly was the best we have stayed in for a while, its location is perfect, within walking distance to whitby and just across the road to walk dogs down to the beach and further beach walk to sandsend. with parking right outside, you couldn’t get better, the accommodation was spacious and well kept with everything you needed for a comfortable stay, modern, clean and tidy and perfect for two couples with their own bathrooms, one with the biggest bath ever for a lovely soak. It has a washroom and outdoor seating, even on a wet day it would be lovely to sit and read in one of the many comfy seating areas and watch the world go by with great views over the sea as well. It offers great value for money, I got a welcome pack in a text message that covered everything you needed. All in all very impressed and hope we are lucky enough to stay again in the future. Apartment is lovely and great location my sisters and I would definitely book again if going to Whit Negative: Could have been a little bit cleaner around bay window was dead flies and cup stains on sill, kickboard was down on the kitchen floor when we arrived, what looked like mouse trap under unit, I put board in position and luckily we didn't see anything in 5 days? But worrying at first!

This is a great place to stay. Well equipped and comfortable, like home from home. Wide sea views from front and side windows. Private parking and a terrace for sitting outside. We would definitely choose this place if we wished to come again; in the winter; in the spring, summer and autumn it is way above our budget for the two of us

Very good indeed. Positive: Great location. Negative: Shower needs some caustic soda pouring down the drain hole as the water was backing up. My wife noted very nice furniture together with cheap, chipboard stuff. Too much furniture it could be argued. Lose the chipboard! Otherwise a lovely stay.

Beautiful ground floor apartment with tonnes of space - 3 bathrooms!! We have a 1 year old and 3 year old and they loved it. Right next to the replacement bus service to the beach which was perfect.

Good but no wifi access. Positive: The location is easy to reach but far from city center or beach. Negative: I never imagine that there is no wifi access in the flat as I think it is a basic supply for any rental accommodation. I have to use my phone network to supply hotspot for my computer to work. Apart from this, everything is fine.

So many positive things about this stay, the location is great, the proximity to the sea wonderful and having parking on site is a real bonus - 5 mins to beach and 15 mins to central whitby. we tried pizza West and fisherman's wife which would highly recommend and just a few moments away - be sure to book though. The outdoor space and utility room were really useful. Few things worth noting/sharing for ppl staying - it's in the same building as a hotel, bar, restaurant which we didn't know from the description (to be fair wasn't too noisy whilst we were there but not sure in summer months - you can hear noist plumbing from elsewhere at times though), the curtains and roman blinds can't be closed throughout so you can't get either bedroom area fully dark if required, the WiFi info in guide was out of date (you can get current off the router itself), the shower in one of the en suites doesn't work fully and needs a new head/deep clean.

Gorgeous place, but it wasn’t worth it… Positive: Positives: 1. Lots of space 2. Ease of entry 3. Two bedrooms/two bathrooms 4. I had read about scaffolding blocking the entrance/view, but that wasn’t there during my stay at the end of October 2023. 5. Washing machine (bring your own washing powder) Negative: Negatives: 1. Wifi did NOT work. When I inquired about it, I was told to unplug it and plug it back in (which anyone with wifi knows to do when it isn’t working, so I had already tried this SEVERAL times). This was a HUGE negative for me. I was traveling to the UK from the States and needed wifi. That was my biggest concern when choosing a place to rent. The wifi was never fixed during my stay. 2. Squeaky floorboards upstairs. And I mean BAD! 3. While this isn’t the fault of the owners of this flat, it should be noted that the people who live above are night owls who pound about all night. It’s already difficult sleeping in a place that isn’t yours, but when you add in the fact that someone is up and stomping around above you for hours, it’s downright terrible. 4. No body wash/shampoo available. Make sure to bring your own. I ended up leaving a night early because I couldn’t sleep with the people up at night above me. Add in that I didn’t have wifi and it just wasn’t worth it for me.

👌 Perfect Positive: Cleanest place we've ever stayed in. Beach/sea views, on suite bedrooms with choice of shower and bath. Negative: Directions a bit misleading. We approached from the rear, would be better arriving from the promenade.

Great location and snug place from which to explore the North York Moors and Whitby Positive: Great location A split level apartment created by converting a corner ground floor unit of a faded grand seaside hotel doesn’t sound like it would work but it does. Really well in fact. Well appointed, plenty of space for a family of four. Good sized utility room useful for drying coats Negative: The flush mechanisms of all three toilets need to be replaced as they don’t work reliably

Great place . Beautiful apartment . Positive: The locatiom was superb . Loved its proximity to the wonderful beach . And town itsself was all down hill and easy to walk to . Negative: Only one thing let down the prooerty. I really think a plumber could fix this in a half hour visit . The problem being the toilets flush buttons were not performing tbe flush. You could press it repeatedly in tbe same place at the same pressure with a 10% chance of it working .

Great stay Positive: Everything from the view to the comfort & decor. Negative: At 130ish in the morning they was a lot of heavy walking around from the above apartment .It didn't last long & only happened 1 night ( morning) .

Ok Positive: Good location and nice & clean. Negative: The flat roof leaked during our stay during a storm so we had to report it and just leave pots down to collect the water.

Positive: Parking outside is a big bonus.location great . Negative: Very clean , we had a problem with downstairs toilet tap which would not turn off but this was sorted by Selina calling a plumber in quite quickly. Only main issue for us was all the beds need new mattresses they are very uncomfortable so we had three nights bad sleep.

Great location, just what we wanted. Great space inside and lovely patio. Only downside was noise from upstairs resident, wooden floors meant you heard every step...but didn't stop us enjoying our stay.

Lovely location but stay somewhere else. Positive: The location was great. Lovely views out to ses. Quiet area. Negative: When we got to the accommodation and opened the door we were like Wow. Unfortunately that feeling was fleeting. The smell hit us, like damp dog and stuffy. The radio was on and we could hear voices. The floor was wet so thought it was the cleaner but it was the flat above. We had a look around. The bedding felt damp and also smelled. There is only one window upstairs between 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms which opened an inch. Downstairs apart from the door only 2 small windows. One room the blinds are fit "decorative purposes only)Thought we would gather ourselves and get a nice drink. Hardly any tea coffee,no milk or water and no biscuits. The flat is very creaky. I wish I had read more reviews as the same problems from a year back. Very very uncomfortable beds, TV not working. Toilet not flushing. It is a case of take the money and do as little as possible. We saved for years for a break and choose a more expensive place. Upsetting. The worst thing was the constant reminders not to break anything, having had to sign a waiver for £500 after booking(non refundable) we were scared to use anything and felt very uncomfortable. We even took pictures before and videos when we left as that's how worried we were that somehow we would be billed. Maybe some one should stay there before advertising this place again. Also not happy about £60 cleaning fee When not much cleaning was done. Kitchen sticky.

It was a relaxing and totally peaceful and very comfortable place to be. Positive: It was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. It was a pleasure to prepare food in the kitchen. The whole apartment had a spacious feel and the view of the sea outside was amazing as well as the beautiful sunsets. The sofas and armchairs were really comfy. Overall it was a place to relax and be totally comfortable. We loved it. Hanging space was limited,but there was plenty of drawer space and ledges, etc. bathrooms were lovely, spotlessly clean. Excellent shower, easy to use and powerful. There was some noise from apartment above, but very little and nothing to be concerned about or be irritated by. Our car right outside, virtually on the doorstep, a real bonus! Negative: We couldn’t use the tv. It was difficult to figure out what was wrong. We left it alone. The tv in the bedroom was fine though. The blinds in the twin bedded room were a bit awkward, light came in. Blackout roller blinds would have been perfect. Nevertheless I slept well. The mattress was not very comfortable, but I still managed to sleep very well.

Amazing views of the coast. Really spacious with everything you would need for a few days away. We had an issue with the TV, which was sorted straightaway. Communication was responsive. Definitely be returning!

Second stay at this beautifully furnished apartment, which was located on West Cliff with panoramic sea views. We absolutely love this place and would live there if we could.

3 night break in March Sunset View is a beautiful apartment with a seafront location offering amazing views. The apartment was very clean and had everything we could need for our short break, including private parking! There is a comfy leather sofa with 2 chairs and also a leather corner sofa to relax on in the evening, after a supper of fish n chips from the Magpie Cafe on Pier Rd The shower in the apartment is amazing and there's also a bath should you like a long soak after exploring the area.Wi-Fi can be an issue but there are plenty of DVDs to watch or perhaps download some content onto your devices before you go.I thoroughly recommend Sunset View and would definitely stay again!

The perfect place to stay for a break in Whitby Positive: The location is fantastic. Only a 10 mins walk into central Whitby, so a couple of minutes in a car. Right on the sea front giving fantastic views. Private parking at the front which was great. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. Great shower & bath and added bonus of a utility room with a mini fridge! Was giving welcome snacks which was a lovely idea. I would definitely recommend to come here couldn't fault anything at all, really enjoyed our stay. Negative: Nothing, perfect.

A brilliant base to explore Whitby Positive: We loved the size of the property it was so much bigger than expected, the heating was great, we stayed there in February and it was always warm unlike some other places we have stayed. The shower was also great, hot and powerful. The position of the property is perfect with sea views from both bedrooms and the ground floor. Nice little touches too, not just tea and coffee, but also some lovely snacks Absolutely loved it Negative: Nothing

The apartment was exactly how it was described and looked in the photo's, really pleased, couldn't fault it at all. However, we experienced a massive problem with the family directly above the apartment. Constant banging, jumping up and down, skipping, bouncing a ball, running around with the dog - clearly playing chase! Started from 5:30am till 10pm, continuously (when we were in), we very almost left to go home late afternoon on the second night - noise was very loud even downstairs in the living room, as apartment is open plan. Contacted Host & Stay who thanked us for reaching out - would have gone upstairs ourselves to complain but couldn't find the way due to the layout of the building. I would suggest Host & Stay find out who owns the apartment above and try and remedy this problem - not very fair for the family below - ceilings clearly very thin. Such a shame, we were going to rebook for the family next summer but not going to bother now

Excellent apartment by the sea Lovely clean, attractive, comfortable and well equipped apartment overlooking the sea in the West Cliff area of Whitby (just a 10 minute walk from the town centre). Property management staff were helpful and attentive. Our only gripe would be the requirement to take out insurance to cover potential breakages or to pay a non-refundable handling charge for a breakages deposit. Wireless details were out of date in the check-in information pack, however, the correct details are on the label on the back of the router (next to the sky box in the lounge).

This property is absolutely amazing totally clean and even cleaning products so you can keep it that way this isn’t always the case they ask you to keep it clean and give you nothing to do so but not in this case, The location is amazing too but make sure you get proof of the parking space or your gonna spend a fortune on parking airbnb listing said no parking but host and stays online info book said space provided right outside the door absolutely brilliant the only downside of the whole week and this is not anything to do with airbnb or host and stay but we had a herd of elephants staying in the flat above it was terrible started at 7.00 am everyday and went on til 22.00 o bless they went out you could even hear this whilst you were downstairs so imagine what it was like in bed upstairs, but that aside would stay hear again without having to think about it for a second not there fault that some people only think of themselves.

Positive: It was a superb very clean beautiful property in an idea location Negative: Booking in time was very confusing in correspondence I would suggest that a 2 pm book in time would certainly be viewed as exceptional value as opposed to 4pm where the value is good

Be warned about hidden damage insurance and misinformation about parking Positive: Location & property Negative: Hidden damage insurance and misinformation about parking which resulted in me unnecessarily paying for parking a mile from the property. We were unable to check in upon arrival and the code for the key box was not handed to unless we paid damage insurance, £25 non refundable or £250 with £240 being refunded within 14 days. There is parking that comes with the property and is clearly signed however when emailing the host in advance we were advised there was no parking. All of this caused unnecessary stress and aggravation. I've never had this experience before when booking a holiday let on booking.com. Wouldn't book with host & stay properties again.

Lovely location, homely environment. Would return Positive: Sunset view was a 10/15 minute stroll to the town, great views over the sea. Dog friendly beach across the road. Equipped with all you would need however no wardrobes but hangers on a coat rail in hall space and a metal frame hanging space. Small patio area with furniture ideal to sit out at night and watch the sun go down. Bedding and towels supplied along with a welcome pack, some crisps, chocolate and biscuits. Tea/coffee, salt and pepper and cleaning items. Bath was lovely, large, perfect for a soak. Dedicated parking space was ideal. Negative: The mezzanine bedroom allows noise to travel, it was fine for us but if you were travelling as a group of 4 it could be problematic. Mattress on king size bed was uncomfortable in my opinion, very thin. Maybe an upgrade would be good.

Firstly, three days before the trip, we received an email and were told that there was scaffolding up and building work Positive: Location, great layout, very spacious. Negative: Floors creaked REALLY loudly, dated furniture, bathroom tiles broken, loud noise from room above, running water noises really loud from other residents.

We had some problems with the booking but we had a great time in a beautiful place Positive: The situation was brilliant, it was more than we expected. Lovely Apartment Positive: A spacious, bright, well equipped ground floor duplex apartment in a fab location and relatively secure outside patio. Quality bed linen and towels were provided, and the welcoming items of tea, coffee, biscuits, crisps, etc. were a nice touch, as were the christmas tree and decorations, for a December visit. It would have been perfect for a cosy, relaxing break on the coast. Negative: Regrettably, I was only made aware of work being done on the building when I received my check-in instructions the day before arrival, advising me that I couldn't use the private parking bay due to scaffolding. Naturally, I was pleased on arrival that there wasn't any, until instead, early the following morning tradesmen, their large van, and equipment appeared directly outside the front windows blocking the view (Sunset or otherwise) while they used drills, hammers, etc next door. I received an apology from Host & Stay, but no suggestion of recompense. Had I known I would not have stayed there or postponed my trip. Also, be aware that check-in is from 4 pm, the latest I've experienced, and checkout is by 10 am.

Great sea views and good location Positive: Good location, with sea view. Good parking right outside the property. Roomy accommodation and fully equipped. Both bedrooms are on suite. Nice touch of shortbread and chocolates. Negative: Both bedrooms had very creaky floors. The bathroom fans were noisy. The curtains in the living room/ mezzanine bedroom couldn't be closed because they were old and very worn. Therefore, the bedroom was almost daylight 24 hours.
