This annex was perfectly located and well appointed for my short business trip to Milton Keynes. As others have said the very narrow spiral staircase is quite steep and wont be suitable for some, and I also found it odd that there was no way to turn the upstairs lights on from downstairs and vice versa (not that I found anyway). As the annex is a part of the owner's home you will hear them going about their daily business through the locked adjoining doors in the kitchen and bedroom, but this was never too late or too early. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

Short weekend stay for 2 adults Positive: The host are lovely and accommodating, The location was perfect for our weekend stay. There was a nice little pub, a Tesco local and a few takeaways shops in walking distance. Parking at the location was good and security camera. Very quiet residential area. Bed was comfortable and all the facilities needed except an iron and board. Negative: I did not like that, the hosts could have access to the bedroom via a connecting door, and also access into the property from a connecting door via the kitchen. It felt like all conversations could be heard. Early in the morning I actually thought they were in our bedroom because the conversations where so loud. The cleanliness of the property could be better. For example there were cobwebs and hair from, I guess previous people. The bathroom (shower, toilet and very small basin) needs updating and a good clean down. We went to the shop and purchased our own cleaning products and gave it a wipe down before we used it. The fridge could have done with a wash down too of the shelves. The spiral staircase was a but of a challenge and would not be good for anyone that would be unstable when walking or for small children. Getting our luggage up was also a bit challenge. It would also be a good idea to have a thicker curtain at the front door. Once the light is on, be mindful of exiting the bathroom after a shower, as you could be seen if the host goes down the side path of the house. Although you have a separate entrance to the property, the entrance is the side gate to the garden of their private dwelling with security cameras. Other than that we had a decent stay and it served us for our short trip.

Great place for weekend exploring area Positive: Location was good for trip we had planned. The people in house where amazing help and understanding nothing was too much trouble. Was clean and tidy had things needed for a weekend away. Great oven and shower was good. Negative: Stairs to bed tested my co-ordination.

Good location,clean but could do with more things like milk. Positive: Space and very quiet and very central to all shopping centres. Negative: I think milk should be provided also the gate lock was not working properly and mattress was not comfortable and I think bedding should be changed for people staying more than 4/5 days.

Perfect little space! Positive: Easy check-in and out. Friendly host.

Really nice property close shops and public transport

Lovely little apartment in walking distance to the Open University Positive: A lovely little apartment in easy walking distance to the Open University. The host was very welcoming and did briefly stop by on the first day to ask if I had everything I needed, which I did :) The apartment has all the amenities one needs for a couple of days' stay in Milton Keynes, with a well-equipped kitchenette, and a huge fridge-freezer (which was very welcome during what turned out to be a massive heatwave). It's also got a lovely little outdoors spot to sit and relax, which is particularly nice to have after a long work day . Negative: I think it's safe to say that the shower has seen better days, and overall cleanliness was a bit of an issue that some might find difficult. I personally didn't mind too much. Also to note the stairs to the first-floor bedroom are rather narrow and steep, so might be challenging to navigate for some.

It is a shame as it is located in a nice neighborhood but the toilet/shower was dreadful. The hot water tap for the shower was not working properly not delivering hot water when I arrived. Thank god the owner was very responsive and fixed it with a new tap on our third day. Sink was small, really small with 2 facets, so either you got very cold water or very hot water! And no space anywhere to leave the esencial toiletries. Heating did not work properly in the lower room. The owner had to lend us an electric radiator to support the heating. And the spiral staircase was difficult to get staff to the room.
