Lovely home from home Positive: Perfect home from home, beds are huge and so comfy, lovely lounge and garden too, only a short walk from the beach which is great. Dog friendly places so our 2 pups could enjoy a holiday as well! Negative: Nothing ...we were completely happy

This is our second visit as a perfect base for long dog walks on the beach - even better now can get a coffee from new van at the beach very friendly chip shop nearby slept so well in comfortable bed

Great property and proximity to the sea. Unfortunately there is a small social housing estate right next door which brings the area down a little and there were kinds letting off fireworks through one of the evenings which upset our dog.

This is one of the best Airbnb we have stayed in - minutes from a beautiful sandy beach Decor excellent and beautiful place so clean and welcoming they have thought of everything from dog blankets to sewing kit and the best guide book ever with local recommendations and walks - even has an OS map on the wall Bedrooms both well furnished and quiet Local area so friendly

Fantastic Positive: We have stayed before with my son. We have had another lovely holiday here at this beautiful cottage in Skinningrove. We love coming here, the cottage is very comfortable and brilliant for the dogs too. The cottage was clean , tidy and the extras were very much appreciated. Thank you. Negative: Nothing

This was our 3rd time staying here and we will definitely be returning. The cottage is lovely and cosy, equipped with lots of board games and books. Beds are comfortable, heating and hot water is great. There's a shamed back garden space which is fenced off and is a great location to play with the dog. And it's located right by the beach what could be better. Thanks again for a great stay.

Last minute getaway Positive: Very spacious rooms, a comfortable home from home. Beautiful beaches less than 5 minutes walk. We visited the local village hall for breakfast and it was lovely. Locals were extremely friendly and loved to stop and chat to the pup. Blankets and food bowls provided for the dog and a lovely closed off courtyard for him to be free. The beds were so comfy and provided a well needed place to rest after a busy day walking. Negative: No washing machine available (although I'm not sure where it would go?) Could have done with another cleaning sponge and tea towel but nothing major. Didn't get the check in details until I called the host and stay company when we were outside the property and had to wait a while for them to check our details before they were sent through.

Lovely stay close to the sea front. Great for walking the dog. House was lovely and tidy.

Great to be so close to the beach, but not much else to do in the village. Found fossils on the beach. Everything you need in the cottage, comfy beds. Very dog friendly, only 3 minute walk to the beach.

Absolutely beautiful cottage - much bigger than the photos make it look! Lovely electric fire in the lounge. Extremely dog friendly. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy and big beds! The surroundings are beautiful - beach only 3mins walk away. So peaceful, unspoilt and not at all crowded. Very quiet village. Not surrounded by a lot of pubs/restaurants but we didn’t want that!

Enjoyed the cottage Positive: Loved the cottage. Catered for the whole family. Dog friendly accomodation. Courtyard was a real bonus for children to play.. dog to chase his ball and get all those sandy towels hung out. Good weather allowed us to eat out there as well. The cottage is homely and welcoming. Beds are so comfy. It's easy to feel at home there and safe. Neighbours are friendly. Parking is easy. Beach within five minutes is a gem and you really should take the time to have a walk around the local area. We thought it was a great base and loved visiting Saltburn and the Owl Centre which we would recommend if you have small children. Negative: Weeds need removing from the front garden and the bush needs trimming in the courtyard. Bedroom window didn't close You need more than one tea towel This is really critical and did not affect my stay.

We booked this cottage for two nights with our 2 children (3 and 5). It was perfect for what we wanted and as soon as we walked in we were impressed. The location was perfect - a few minutes walk to a stunning sandy beach which even the little ones managed. A lovely walk along the cliff side to saltburn and then we got the bus back along the main road and walked 5 mins back down to the cottage. The roll top bath was a lovely way to finish the day after a long walk. The courtyard was also useful with two young children as it is fully enclosed and away from the road. We enjoyed breakfast in this sun trap each morning! I would return again as I think this location is really good as a base to explore the east coast.

Positive: Family of 4 visit. Beautifully decorated cottage, comfy beds, clean and cosy, quiet at night for a good nights sleep. Everything you could need, aside from a washing machine! Negative: Location wasn’t as pretty as photos suggest, quite run down. No amenities at all within walking distance. Towels smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

Perfect family break Positive: The cottage is great, it’s spacious but cosy. The attention to details is great.

Great place to stay. Good value, easy walk to the beach. There were two parking permits (parking near the property could have been difficult otherwise) Property was warm and cosy. Good children's facilities (highchair and crockery)

Really enjoyed our stay over the Christmas break. A well equipped kitchen to cook Christmas dinner, dog friendly, within walking distance of the beach and locals were very friendly.

Fantastic location close to 2 beautiful peaceful beaches and on the Cleveland Way route. The cottage certainly matched the description and photos. A credit to Airbnb A++

A cosy and lovely cottage in a brilliant location, three minutes walk from the beach in the quiet community of Skinningrove. We ate yummy fish and chips from the chippy in Skinningrove, walked the stunning coastal path to Saltburn (about 90mins), lunch at Coco and Rum in Saltburn, then a walk on Blakey Ridge on our way home to West Yorkshire. Thanks for a fantastic weekend. What a lovely cottage. X

Fabulous cottage with comfortable beds, furniture to relax in and pkenty of throws for the dog. Kitchen was spotless and thank you for the tea bags etc to get us started - very thoughtful and welcome

Spot on ! Positive: Nice stone cottage, well presented all amenities good communication before arrival 3 min walk to beach! And Skinningrove as a lovely beach. We like to drive out to different areas around and and about, whitby, Staithes etc . Will definitely stay again!! . Negative: Booking.com sent us a different key code to the hosts .parking could be problematic on occasion but that i suppose is unavoidable.

Nice cottage which is well appointed. Skinningrove village is very rundown. Has 1 pub which had last orders at 8:30 on the Thursday night we arrived even though google says it is open until 10pm. Great beach at the village.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, plenty of space including a lovely living room and separate snug/game room. Garden is beautiful and private. Two bathrooms, one with shower and one with a huge bath. Definitely a dog friendly property, had a slight canine whiff about the place but nothing too overpowering. The village is quiet and small, a minute's walk from the sea. There's good places to walk nearby although you'll need to drive to appreciate your stay if you're looking for places to go and eat. If you're just interested in staying in the house the kitchen is well supplied with equipment for cooking.

Great little spot in an unassuming little village just steps from the beach and the Cleveland Way. Just what we needed for our weekend break. Super dog friendly with dog blankets provided so our dog could sit with us on the sofa or on the bed. Super secure courtyard garden too with the lowest wall being 5ft and all walls made of solid stone - perfect for reactive dogs! The fish and chips from around the corner were delicious and the coffee from Blooms (at the beach) was great too!

Quaint, comfy, cottage in a superb location. Positive: The location was superb, close to the beach, easy to find, quiet at night. The rooms in t he cottage were all of a good size, the beds were really comfy and there was a decent set of cookware etc. in the kitchen. The rear garden was a bonus. Negative: I would have liked to have had some spare bin bags and a larger one for the non-recyclable rubbish. There wasn't a non-recyclable dust bin available and the only kitchen bin was minute.

It can be difficult to find a place that allows several dogs. I have 4 scottish terriers and they loved the secure courtyard and the walks. It was a real suntrap. It was nice to be able to allow them in the lounge with me and be able to put throws on the furniture and not be worried about them hopping up. The village is lived in, it's not a village that seems full of just visitors, so it is full of life. The beach has lovely sand and wasn't packed, even at the weekend. The fish and chip shop was worth a visit and there is a coffee van some days near the beach selling ice cream and drinks and snacks for humans and dogs.

Very comfortable Positive: This is a lovely property- very comfortable and tastefully done. We enjoyed the location which was great for walking along the coast.

Lovely house in a fantastic place. Lovely and clean all round. Spacious rooms, plenty facilities - everything that was needed for a trip away. Lovely touch with the tea, coffee and condiments there for guest use. Beds were very comfortable. No faults.

Lovely grade 2 listed cottage with lovely private courtyard and shared grass area. The property was exactly how it is shown in pictures but much more spacious than it seems! It was clean and it warmed up quickly when heating turned on! Perfect location for a quick walk to the beach or to the moors. The neighbours and everyone we met were very friendly and welcoming.

Great potential but lacks personal communication Positive: Really comfortable beds, proximity to harbour and beach. Good facilities- heating, tv. Lovely shower which fortunately was not on the main water system. Negative: The boiler was faulty so there was no hot water. We were boiling the kettle to wash up! We reported this but it wasn’t sorted during our stay. The emergency contact number just rang out which would have been extremely worrying if there had been a more serious situation. I messaged the property management at the end of our stay and didn’t receive a reply!

Lovely cottage in a great location. Spacious and well equipped. Well presented and clean. We had a problem with the hot water which a previous guest also mentioned. Hopefully that gets properly sorted now.

The photos of the property looked amazing ! Our photos tell an entirely different story .. the house needs a deep clean .. the back yard needs sweeping and cutting back of foliage and metal furniture painting

This is our second stay, we love the location - the beach is incredible. The house is wonderful, has everything we need and very comfortable.

Positive: We loved the good location. The beach was amazing. The property was so calming and peaceful. Negative: There wasn't anything I didn't like about the property.

An absolute gem, as soon as walked through the door, we felt right at home. Lovely and warm, the decor and furnishings were just perfect. The kitchen was spotless, both the bathrooms were exceptional and the bedrooms were just amazing. Two bedrooms with absolutely huge beds that were really comfortable. We will definitely be staying there again.

Host and stay did not properly check messages sent to them. I had to check issues several times before the holiday to make sure that they had understood what I was asking - it was a good job I did. Our booking was not updated to include a change in number of guests as we had been told it had been and we were given the wrong information about other requests. Whilst always polite and prompt the attention to detail was definitely missing. The cottage was lovely, however, and spotlessly clean.

We had the most relaxing weekend using this place as our base to travel to north coast. Super cosy to come back to

Overall a lovely cottage stay with some cosy/ quirky touches. Felt very cosy inside. However when charging a cleaning fee at this price, cleanliness should be up to a satisfactory standard. On arrival it was clear the drainer had definitely had its use, (just replace it) also air fryer still had the remains of the previous guests tea, would have expected this to be ready for fresh guests usage, very off putting! The place mats were left tea stained, literally a two minute job to just wipe when so obvious! Finally the splash-backs of toothpaste on the bathroom mirror unit, again so noticeable. Although these weren’t major concerns it is frustrating paying a cleaning fee when on arrival the place wasn’t even up to my own home standards. Slightly disappointing. The bed was so comfortable and such a cosy living area, which we were thankful for as even a walk to the local pub put made us feel uneasy walking the streets after experiencing some fairly odd characters!

We enjoyed our stay at Stone Row, which was in a beautiful location. It was great having a number of living spaces to relax in. The kitchen was well equipped. The bath was huge!

A lovely cottage finished to a very high standard, skiningrove however is a very odd place & the walk down to the beach is a little daunting and wouldn’t want to do it in the dark! The beach however is lovely (avoid the copious amounts of dog mess!) We would stay again as the cottage is so lovely & very well equipped but the area isn’t great.
