As before perfect Positive: Lovely little cottage catering for us plus a dog. Very convenient as visiting my mum over the road at Gresley court. It suits us all round. Lucky find Negative: Nothing

We had a lovely stay here – the house is beautifully presented and had everything we needed. The location is perfect: right in the centre of Saltburn, just a short walk to the beach (our dog absolutely loved it!) and ideal for visiting family nearby. It was a really comfortable base for our trip, and we’d be happy to stay again.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my son and dog and we had such a lovely time. The location was ideal as it was just a few minutes walk to the front, near to shops and restaurants. The house/cottage was great - just as it was described and looked like the photos. Communication before and during the stay with the host was excellent. I'd definitely recommend it - it made our (first) stay in Saltburn very pleasant indeed:)

Lovely house but bring your own towels Positive: Lovely little house in very good location. Delicious cake and other homemade goods provided by the owners created a nice warm welcome. Nice bathroom with separate bath and walk-in shower. Negative: Host & Stay management company really let down the owners and guests here. Their new penny-pinching policy not to provide hand towels for guests meant we had to source our own. The sheets were not fitted nor big enough so quickly unravelled, leaving us sleeping partly on bare mattresses. No spare toilet rolls (good luck to families arriving on Christmas Eve!). Their damage deposit policy is a scam - especially the policy to hold on to guests’ money and not process refunds until a fortnight after guests leave. This would have been a five star rating if it were not for Host & Stay’s greed and lack of professionalism.

Perfect location and a great family friendly property. Positive: Fabulous location. We weren’t disturbed by the trains even though the station was directly opposite. We were left a lovely welcome cake which was a nice touch. The house was right in the centre and only 10 minutes to the beach. It was spotlessly clean. Negative: There was nothing we didn’t like!

Excellent! Already recommended to family. Positive: The location was central & perfect for my elderly grandparents who I booked it for. Negative: There’s nothing we can fault. It was just wonderful.

Positive: Fabulous house, had everything you could possible need, spacious, tidy and easy to navigate around. Parking outside was no issue, and we did not move the car on the Bank Holiday Monday, as we would not have got parked again (Saltburn gets very busy then!). As someone who grew up in the area, it was a great spot to meet family and friends, use the train and walk to the beach, local restaurants and cafes. Will be booking again in the future.

Perfect getaway in a great cottage with lovely generous hosts Positive: Great location for our christmas getaway. We know Saltburn well and the cottage was centrally located with just 5 min walk to the front. 2 minute walk to shops. Cottage was clean and well equipped and the hosts left a freshly made cake and extra goodies which made us feel extra welcome - Thank you Negative: No reflection on the cottage or hosts but the Host and Stay Company bombard you with emails almost daily. Really annoying. Also felt a little put out that a damage deposit is required - understandable - but there is a £10 admin fee for the damage deposit OR £25 to not pay the damage deposit.

Positive: Great location and good value for money Negative: The single beds in the second bedroom were very uncomfortable- I suspect that they are only meant for children to sleep on

Small but well equipped property in the very centre of Saltburn Positive: Small but well equipped property in the very centre of Saltburn. Less than a minute from the train station and the town centre and less than 5 minutes from the front. The property itself is thoughtfully equipped and pleasantly furnished. There is a secure yard, which was great for letting the dogs lie in the sunshine during the day. The main bedroom is large with a very comfortable bed and the second bedroom an adequately sized twin. The property is directly across from the railway station but you could barely hear the trains in the house and they certainly did not disturb my sleep. Negative: Nothing, the property was great.

The property is in a good location and is well equipped. Negative: I did not like the armchairs in the living room, I much prefer a more upright chair.

Great place for our short stay visiting friends in Saltburn and had everything we needed. Clear instructions before our arrival and easy on street parking right outside which was handy travelling with a toddler. We appreciated the local treats left for us too. Great location for all Saltburn has to offer, yes you can hear the trains but we expected that and didnt bother us too much. Would stay again when we next visit.

Comfortable stay in a well located cottage Positive: The house was super clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It was centrally located for all the cafes, shops and beach. We had a very relaxing stay and highly recommend. Negative: An information folder in the property would be very helpful.

This was perfect for my 4-night stay! Easy to find. Usually I prefer off-street parking, but here the road isn't too busy & I always managed to find a space within 3 - 4 car lengths from the Cottage. I know Saltburn very well & knew I'd be 2 mins' walk from Sainsbury's (& therefore Saltburn centre)! Noise-wise, although it's very close to the train station, there aren't many trains & so I wasn't distracted by the sound. I had 2 dogs with me & the back yard is secure, clean, tidy (with a really practical dining table & chairs for 4). There are plenty of dog walks in S'burn: closest = Hazel Grove woods, 5 mins walk from the cottage - v useful in the hot weather. Station Cottage is super-clean & has everything I needed: a real home from home! There's a coffee pod machine &, if you prefer ground coffee, a cafetiere. Local-made cake (& home-made jam!) were a lovely welcome surprise. The bed was really comfortable & the blinds & curtains combined kept most of the light out of the room.

Positive: The house was very comfortable and convenient. Negative: It didn't bother us, but some may find the proximity of the house to the railway station and issue. But the clue is in the name!

Station cottage is in a great location especially if like me you’re traveling by train ( I was expecting to hear the trains but you hardly noticed them) Close to Sainsbury’s & the bus stop, there isn’t anything the host hasn’t thought of to make it a home from home & everything is easy to use. We will definitely stay here again

Really close to town. Easy walk to bars in the evening. Nice comfortable bed with plenty of storage for clothes. Lovely large shower enclosure. Everything you needed in the kitchen.

Hard to find fault. It was comfortable and clean with everything needed to make the stay easy. Positive: The kitchen was brilliantly well equipped. Negative: The back yard was a bit bleak.

We had a lovely stay here with our children aged 2 and 4. It was perfect for a couple of nights away, and a really good location close to nice cafes and shops. We walked down to the beach in 10 minutes, and despite being opposite the railway, we did not notice the noise from the trains and this didn’t bother us at all. The gesture of home-made jam and cake upon arrival was very nice (and enjoyed by our hungry children!). The cottage was exactly as it appears in the photos, and the kitchen had everything you needed. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic home from home holiday cottage! Positive: Brilliant location and some fantastic coffee shops. Lovely farmer's market on the Saturday. Nothing to dislike about this little home from home, absolutely everything was thought of and some extra little touches above and beyond. Negative: Only one thing was there was nowhere to put recyclables and it is something I am quite passionate about. There were bins out of the back gate but number 7 was full of rubbish. Others have mentioned the sheet problems on the single beds.

Great location and a comfortable stay Positive: Really well equipped, comfortable and cosy house. Nicely appointed. Very clean. Really couldn’t fault it. Great location, perfect for the town and beach. Quiet too despite being in the town. Smelt nice too (some holiday homes smell a bit ‘un lived in’, damp or just fusty). Negative: Can’t think of anything. We didn’t feel that anything was missing. Nothing was broken or in poor repair.

This house was clean and very comfortable, it’s in a good spot to explore saltburn and had everything we needed. Loved the personal touch on arrival, and the super comfortable beds. The trains are a little noisy, but maybe not as noticeable with windows closed ( had windows open to sleep as very hot weather). We would stay here again. Also the Italian cafe just a few doors away was a great spot.

Really nice place to stay, clean, tidy & close to everything in Saltburn.

Truly gross. Positive: Mark, a member of staff with Host & Stay. He helped us get out of Windsor Cottage and found us an alternative venue. Negative: Unbearable strong smell of tobacco in the main bedroom and the unbearable smell of cannabis in the lounge.

Lovely house and great location. Positive: The location was great. Negative: Being woken up at 5:50 every morning by the first train getting in, although booking a house called Station Cottage I guess this was to be expected. The outside light being on all night with no switch to turn it off made the back bedroom very bright.

good 3 nights break

We had never been to Saltburn before and the location of the house was ideal to walk around the area. The trains rumble from half 5 in the morning till about 11 but oddly doesnt disturb you that much at all. The house was well presented and as described with a nice bathroom and kitchen. The beds were perfectly comfortable. I could be picky about certain cleaning aspects but i am just fussy and a professional cleaner so notice everything. Nothing was dirty just a little dusty in places. Surprised to find welcome gifts(homemade jam and a victoria sponge) as we were only there for two nights. So lovely touches by the host, thank you. We had a lovely stay and would certainly recommend

Great location, comfortable beds, disappointed with the shower pipe rusty, dusty vent stains on bed. Positive: Great seaside location Negative: Having to pay twenty five pounds which you don’t get back for damages cover or pay two hundred and you get back one hundred and ninety pounds back, someone is making a mint from this robbery.

Very enjoyable 5 nights, good facilities and clean. Positive: Compact and warm. Negative: The first night there was a strong wind, this caused a continuous banging, seemingly coming from the outside aerial.

Great location & well equipped, comfortable little cottage. Positive: Very comfortable. Really well equipped. Good location. Was a little concerned that trains may be disrupting but didn't notice them much at all. Negative: The sofa is a little low and the chairs could be a little more comfortable (perhaps time to replace the chair cushions) - these are small quibbles.
