A great base if you don’t mind doing a couple of days deep clean when you arrive. Positive: Good location. We had no problem with parking on the street. Good decor. Lots of useful appliances such as washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer. Good size rooms. Negative: The main bed was advertised as extra large and it was double at best. The house was dirty when we arrived - plates, cups, oven, sink, bathroom, bedding, floors and surfaces were all dirty. We informed Host and Stay with photos and they offered us a cleaner on the Friday, we left the following day after staying for a week. The wheely bins in the garden were all overflowing. We have attached a few photos. It’s a shame because this could be a lovely place to stay.

A really lovely property which is beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. The perfect place to stay while we were visiting the North East for the Great North Run.

We stayed here whilst visiting family in Newbiggin-by-the-sea. The house was just as it had been described and very comfortable. It was really like a home away from home. We highly recommend this holiday home.

Had a fantastic stay !

Positive: We brought our grand-daughter to Newbiggin for our annual holiday. After researching, 12 Simonside Terrace seemed a good fit for us. There were not many reviews on the property, but the few I did find were positive. The Host and Stay company were great with their communication and once, when I sent an email whilst on holiday with a query, I received a reply within 5 minutes. The house we stayed in was stunning! This is a house that belongs to someone who has left all their belongings/furniture/kitchen goods and is renting their home out as a holiday let. All the electrical goods were top class and we were so delighted to have the use of a tumble dryer, washing machine, dish washer, air fryer, and microwave. The cupboards were fully stocked with every item a cook requires. The bedrooms are beautiful with luxury beds and top quality bedding. The 3 of us slept so well during our holiday. Every room is decorated tastefully and the walls have the most lovely artwork on them. Cleanliness was of a high standard and we shared a gorgeous bathroom also. We have come home with lots of happy holiday memories and look forward to our return visit.

Great house in a lovely sleepy town. Positive: The house was clean, tidy and spacious. It had everything we needed. It was only a stones throw from the beach. Negative: Parking was a bit difficult at times, due to on street parking.

We had a great week at Simonside Terrace. The property is located on a quiet residential street only a few minutes’ walk from the beach. Newbiggin is lovely with great restaurants and a fabulous beach. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. The only slight downside for us (3 adults, one teen, one child) was that there was only one toilet/bathroom. Overall though a very enjoyable stay and would return again.
